Description

The invention relates to a twisted-in brush having a bristle carrier and a bristle covering arranged thereon, wherein the bristle carrier is formed from at least two twisted-together wire sections. The invention also relates to a device and a method for producing twisted-in brushes.WO 2010 / 151 117 A1 discloses a brush cleaning device for removing hair from a hair brush, comprising a housing having a drive motor and a cleaning brush which has a core which can be releasably coupled to the drive motor via a coupling during use and has bristles protruding radially from the core.DE 10 2010 044 921 A1 discloses a brush which has a carrier part which is rotated from wire sections and has a bristle covering and a handle-side and / or a head-side overmolding, and characterized in that a sealing element is provided on the end region of the handle-side and / or the head-side overmolding facing the bristle covering.DE 10 2011 015 060 A1 discloses a method and a device for producing round brushes which have bristles twisted in between two wire sections of a folded wire. The device has a bristle feed device and a rotary gripper for twisting two wire sections with bristles located therebetween and is characterized in that a deflection device is provided with two deflection rollers spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of a fed wire, that a rotary gripper which can be linearly displaced transversely to the longitudinal direction of the fed wire is provided for gripping the folding region of the wire formed by action on a force-applying element which can be adjusted transversely to the wire longitudinal direction between the deflection rollers, that a bristle feed device is provided for feeding bristles to the bent wire sections in the region of the deflection rollers, and that a device for braking the feed of the wire is provided in each case in the region of the unfolded wire sections.JP H09-117 324 A discloses a twisted-in interdental brush and a method for producing such a brush.Brushes of the type mentioned at the beginning are known, for example, as Maskara brushes or interdental brushes. In particular when the brush is designed as a maskar brush or interdental brush, a brush handle is generally arranged on the grip section of the bristle carrier of the brush. In order to prevent the brush handle from becoming detached from the bristle carrier when the brush is in use, a connection between the brush handle and the bristle carrier must be able to withstand certain pull-out forces. This is of great importance in particular in interdental brushes.Various methods are known for connecting the brush handle to the bristle carrier. The brush grip can be glued to the bristle carrier, for example. For this purpose, however, it is necessary to adapt the adhesive used exactly to the materials of the connection partners to be connected to one another. Moreover, automation of the bonding process is comparatively difficult, which is why this method is used primarily in manual production of such brushes. It is also known to heat the bristle carrier, which is also referred to as a handle. This is comparatively simple, but only possible with bare wire sections. In practice, ultrasonic methods are also used for connecting bristle carriers to brush handles. In this case, the bristle carrier is set in vibration and then connected to a brush handle. By the oscillation of the bristle carrier, the material of the brush handle can be softened or even liquefied in regions and can accommodate the bristle carrier therein. The use of such an ultrasonic method for connecting bristle carriers and brush handles is also possible with bristle carriers made of colored wires. A bore in the brush handle, which is generally made of plastic, must, however, be matched exactly to the diameter of the bristle carrier of the brush. Furthermore, the plastic material of which the brush handle is made should have a certain minimum hardness, so that the connection can withstand the required pull-out forces.During the adhesive bonding and also during the heating of the bristle carrier, adhesive connections are produced between the bristle carrier and the brush handle. In the ultrasonic method, the plastic becoming flowable or liquid flows around the contour of the bristle carrier. An adhesive bond does not take place in this case. Compared to the gluing and the method in which the bristle carrier is heated, the resistance to pulling out the bristle carrier from the brush grip is lower in the ultrasonic method. It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a twisted-in brush with which the desired pull-out forces which a connection between the bristle carrier and the brush handle should withstand can be reliably achieved, in particular even if the connection between the brush handle and the bristle carrier is produced in the ultrasonic method. To achieve the object, a turned-in brush is proposed having the features of the independent claim directed to such a brush. To achieve the object, a turned-in brush is thus proposed in particular, which has a bristle carrier made of at least two twisted-together wire sections, on which a bristle covering is arranged. The brush according to the invention is characterized in that the bristle carrier has a grip section in which at least one widening of turns of the twisted-together wire sections is formed. The widening of windings can cause a cross-sectional widening of the bristle carrier in its grip section and can function as a pull-out protection in the grip section of the bristle carrier. If a brush handle is connected to the bristle carrier in the grip section of the bristle carrier, the at least one widening of windings of the wire sections acts as a pull-out protection, by means of which the pull-out force that withstands the connection between the bristle carrier and the brush handle can be increased. This is also the case when the connection between brush handle and bristle carrier is to be produced by the ultrasonic process. The bristle carrier of the twisted brush provided with the described widening can thus also be connected reliably and securely to a brush handle in the ultrasonic method. Due to the changed geometry of the bristle carrier due to the widening of windings of the twisted-together wire sections in the grip section, the material of the brush grip, which is at least partially liquefied during the ultrasonic method, can flow between the windings of the twisted-together wire sections, in particular in the region of the widening. This can promote a positive connection between the bristle carrier and the brush handle and thus an increase in the pull-out force tolerated by the connection. In an embodiment of the brush according to the invention, the widening is produced during the twisting of the wire sections. The widening can be produced, for example, by twisting the wire sections around at least one mandrel. For this purpose, the at least one mandrel can be positioned between the still untwisted wire sections before the twisting of the wire sections. If the wire sections are then twisted around the mandrel, the previously mentioned widening occurs during the twisting. In another embodiment of the brush according to the invention, it is provided that the widening is produced by twisting a twist of the bristle carrier in the grip section. In this variant of the brush, the widening of the turns of the twisted-together wire sections is thus produced when the wire sections are already twisted together at least partially. The bristle carrier can be clamped in an intermediate section and at its handle-side end can be turned on again for a certain distance counter to the winding direction of the twisted-together wire sections. Due to the tension of the wire sections that was produced during the twisting of the wire sections, the widening can be produced by turning on the twisted wire sections counter to their winding direction. The widening of the turns of the twisted-together wire sections can be a plastic deformation of the twisted wire sections, which leads to a cross-sectional widening of the bristle carrier, which consists of twisted-together wire sections, in its grip section. As already mentioned above, the widening can be at least partially filled with material of the brush grip when the brush grip is located on the bristle carrier in the position of use. In this way, the brush handle and the bristle carrier are connected to one another in a form-fitting manner. The brush handle can preferably consist of plastic. Particularly preferably, a plastic is used as the material of the brush handle, which is also suitable for the ultrasonic connection method described above. The brush grip can be connected to the grip section of the bristle carrier by at least regional liquefaction, for example melting, in particular by ultrasonic oscillations and / or heating of the bristle carrier. In principle, it is also conceivable for the brush handle to be injection-molded around the grip section of the bristle carrier and thereby connected to the bristle carrier. The brush handle and the bristle carrier can also be glued together. The brush handle can be a prefabricated brush handle and / or can have a receptacle, in particular a blind hole, for the grip section of the bristle carrier. The grip portion of the bristle carrier connected to the brush grip is then positioned in this receptacle. In one embodiment of the brush, the wire portions are separate wire portions. The wire sections are thus twisted together as wire sections separated from one another in order to produce the bristle carrier. In another embodiment of the brush, the wire sections are two interconnected legs of a piece of wire bent along a bending line. The bending line can be formed at a distal end of the bristle carrier and / or arranged in the middle of the wire piece. In this way, sharp edges, which may represent a risk of injury when using the brush as an interdental brush, can be avoided at the distal end of the bristle carrier. Free ends of the wire sections preferably together form a handle-side end of the bristle carrier. To achieve the object, a device for producing twisted-in brushes is also proposed. The apparatus comprises the means and features of the independent claim directed to such an apparatus. In order to achieve the object, a device for producing twisted-in brushes, in particular those of the type claimed, is thus proposed in particular, wherein the device has a holder and at least one rotary gripper for twisting wire sections. Between the holder and the rotary gripper, at least two wire sections to be twisted can be clamped in. The device is configured to generate an expansion of turns of twisted-together wire sections. In order to drive, i.e. to rotate, the rotary gripper and / or the holder, the device can have at least one corresponding drive, in particular a rotary drive. The at least one drive can preferably be an electric drive. In an embodiment of the device according to the invention, the device for generating the expansion has at least one mandrel. The mandrel can be positioned between wire sections to be twisted with a positioning device of the device before twisting wire sections. If the at least one mandrel is positioned between the wire sections, the wire sections can be twisted around the mandrel. As a result, the previously described widening of the windings then occurs when the wire sections are twisted.Preferably, the device for producing the expansion has two mandrels. The two mandrels can be positioned with a positioning device of the device from different sides between wire sections to be twisted. Here too, the two mandrels are positioned between the wire sections before the wire sections are twisted together.Once the mandrels have arrived in position between the wire sections, the wire sections are twisted together around the two mandrels. Here too, the at least one widening of the turns of the twisted-together wire sections described above is produced, which widening is configured for secure fastening of the bristle carrier to a brush handle. The at least one mandrel for producing the widening is preferably a conical mandrel. This facilitates extraction of the mandrel from the twisted-together wire sections after production of the bristle carrier and the at least one widening. In another embodiment of the device according to the invention, the device has a clamping device for generating the widening of windings. The clamping device can be arranged between the holder and the rotary gripper and can be configured to fix twisted wire sections to one another. The rotary gripper is preferably a motor-driven rotary gripper. The rotary gripper can be rotatable, in particular driven, in order to twist wire sections in one direction of rotation and to produce the widening in an opposite direction of rotation. If the rotary gripper is rotated in the direction of rotation to produce the widening, while the clamping device fixes the twisted-together wire sections, a twisting of the bristle carrier can be twisted on a certain distance and the widening can be produced in the grip section of the bristle carrier. In one embodiment of the device, it is provided that the holder and the rotary gripper are rotatable, in particular driven, in opposite directions for twisting wire sections. In this way, the wire section cuts can be twisted together quickly and precisely in order to form the bristle carrier and thereby fix the bristle set of the brush reliably between the wire sections. The holder can be driven by motor, in particular driven in rotation. The device may comprise a heating device for heating bristle carriers. The heating device can be, in particular, a resistance heating device. With the aid of the heating device, bristle carriers can be heated, in particular in the grip section. A bristle carrier heated in the grip section can then be inserted into a brush grip held ready in order to produce the connection between the bristle carrier and the brush grip. The heated bristle carrier can liquify the material of the brush handle, so that the latter then flows in particular into the widening, which leads to a reliable, preferably positive-locking, connection between the brush handle and the bristle carrier. The heating device can have, for example, two heating jaws, with which a grip section of a bristle carrier can be heated from sections twisted together. In this case, the heating jaws can each have at least one recess for receiving an expansion formed in the grip section of a bristle carrier. With the aid of the heating jaws, rapid heating of the grip section of the bristle carrier provided with the at least one widening is possible. In one embodiment of the device, the latter has an ultrasonic sonotrode which is configured to set at least the grip section of a bristle carrier comprising twisted-together wire sections into oscillation. With the aid of the ultrasonic sonotrode and the grip section set in vibration, it is possible to soften or even liquify material of a brush grip which is to be connected to the bristle carrier at least in regions when the material comes into contact with the vibrating grip section of the bristle carrier. The material of the brush handle can flow into the region of the at least one widening formed in the grip section of the bristle carrier. With the aid of the ultrasonic sonotrode of the device, a reliable connection can thus be produced between the brush handle and the bristle carrier of the brush to be produced. The device can have a sliding device which is configured to slide a bristle carrier made of twisted-together wire sections with its grip section into a brush grip held ready. It is also possible to fix the bristle carrier and to push the brush handle over the fixed bristle carrier and in particular its grip section in order to connect the bristle carrier to the brush handle. The device can have a, preferably sleeve-shaped, guide which is configured for holding and / or guiding the bristle carrier when connecting the bristle carrier to the brush handle. The preferably sleeve-shaped guide can have an inner diameter which corresponds to the outer diameter of the bristle set formed on the bristle carrier. To achieve the object, a method for producing twisted-in brushes is also proposed, which has the means and features of the independent claim directed to such a method. In order to achieve the object, a method for producing twisted-in brushes of the type claimed is thus proposed in particular, wherein at least two wire sections are twisted together to form a bristle carrier, wherein a bristle set of the brush is clamped between the wire sections, and wherein at least one widening of turns of the wire sections is produced in a grip section of the bristle carrier. In a further method step, the bristle carrier can be connected, preferably positively, in its grip section to a brush grip.In order to produce the at least one widening, in an embodiment of the method according to the invention, at least one, preferably conical, mandrel is positioned between the two wire sections. Subsequently, the wire sections are twisted together around the at least one mandrel. In another embodiment of the method, two, preferably conical, mandrels are positioned between the two wire sections from different sides in order to produce the at least one widening, and the wire sections are subsequently twisted together. Here too, the wire sections are then twisted together around the at least two mandrels, whereby the at least one widening is produced. After the expansion has been produced, the at least one mandrel can be moved back from its position between the wire sections into its starting position. In another embodiment of the method according to the invention, the twisted together wire sections are fixed with a clamping device and then twisted in a direction of rotation opposite to a winding direction of the wire sections to produce the at least one widening. To connect the bristle carrier to a brush handle, at least the grip section of the bristle carrier provided with the at least one widening can be heated and inserted into a brush handle kept ready. By means of the heated grip section, material of the brush grip can be melted and flow into the widening. Subsequently, the previously melted material can solidify again. The brush handle can have a receptacle, in particular a blind hole, into which the grip section of the bristle carrier is inserted in this case.In another embodiment of the method, at least the grip section of the bristle carrier provided with the at least one widening is set into oscillation with an ultrasonic sonotrode and the grip section, in particular the oscillating grip section, is inserted into a brush grip held ready. In this case, material of the brush handle can be softened or liquefied and flow into the widening in order to connect the brush handle to the bristle carrier. The material that has flowed into the widening can subsequently solidify again. Here too, the brush handle can have a receptacle, in particular a blind hole, into which the grip section of the bristle carrier is inserted. The invention is described in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments, but is not limited to these exemplary embodiments.
