Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a device and a method for treating beverage containers. Various devices and methods of this type are known from the prior art. For example, forming devices such as stretch blow molding machines are known that convert plastic preforms into plastic bottles. Inspection devices that inspect containers and labeling devices that apply a label to containers are also known.
[0002] In these devices, the containers to be treated are typically transported, and a treatment process is performed on these containers, such as labeling, forming, or the like. For this purpose, it is common for treatment elements such as a blowing nozzle to be positioned on the plastic preforms to then expand them.
[0003] The state of the art provides various approaches to implementing these movements. For example, it would be possible to assign individual drives, such as electric motors, to each treatment element. However, a long-standing, proven approach is to provide guide curves along which guide rollers roll. The position of the guide curve determines the position of the treatment element. This technology is proven and has long been standard for such machines.
[0004] However, such cam systems are subject to wear and tear, which over time can lead to movements no longer being carried out precisely.
[0005] DE 10 2017 120 295 A1 discloses a container treatment system and a method for detecting the running characteristics of a roller on a guide cam of such a container treatment system. This document describes how individual movements are detected using sensor devices, allowing information to be obtained regarding wear on the lifting cam (hereinafter referred to as the guide cam) or the rollers (hereinafter referred to as the guide rollers).
[0006] The disclosure content of DE 10 2017 120 2951 is incorporated in its entirety by reference into the subject matter of the present patent application.
[0007] From the applicant's internal prior art, it is known to equip such machines with vibration sensors on guide tracks, such as the main curve, a locking curve, and a stretch rod curve. If certain limit values are exceeded, depending on the exceeded limit, either warning messages are displayed (e.g., on a display device), or production is stopped and the machine is shut down, or an emergency stop of the machine is initiated.
[0008] However, there are various causes that can cause these elevated vibration levels. If a certain limit is exceeded, a quick stop is intended to prevent machine damage.
[0009] One problem here is that when passing through the guide curves, a large number of guide rollers, for example from blowing stations, are simultaneously engaged. Due to this simultaneous engagement of several guide rollers in the curve, an increased vibration value cannot always be reliably attributed to a specific forming station or general treatment station.
[0010] Since the error cannot be reliably assigned to a specific treatment station, the search for the cause of the error is more complex, as several treatment stations must be checked.
[0011] Nor can any conclusions be drawn about the status of individual leadership roles.
[0012] In the current state of the art, a reaction occurs when a certain limit is exceeded. Possible influences on the vibration values, such as the customer object being produced, the machine speed, the machine's operating time, or ambient conditions, are not taken into account.
[0013] In addition, a history, such as a trend, is not taken into account in order to be able to give forecasts for the remaining term or even until a default.
[0014] The present invention is therefore based on the object of enabling or simplifying the assessment or prognosis of occurring errors. This is achieved according to the invention by the subject matter of the independent patent claims. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0015] A device according to the invention for treating containers comprises a transport device which transports the containers to be treated along a predetermined transport path and at least one treatment device which is suitable and intended to treat at least one container and in particular at least one container transported by the transport device in a predetermined manner, wherein the device comprises a movement device (which is preferably suitable and intended to effect a relative movement and in particular between the container to be treated and the treatment device and / or at least one element of this treatment device in a direction of movement).
[0016] It should be noted that in some machine types, the transprotein direction can also be a treatment device. For example, the forming stations act both as treatment devices that transform plastic preforms into plastic containers, but also as transport devices because they transport the plastic preforms along a predetermined transport path (especially during treatment).
[0017] This movement device comprises at least one first guide curve and at least one guide roller, which is suitable and intended to roll relative to the guide curve (preferably, this guide roller rolls relative to at least one rolling surface of the guide curve). Furthermore, the device comprises at least one detection device, which is suitable and intended to detect at least one measured value that is characteristic of a running characteristic of the guide roller relative to the guide curve.
[0018] A running property of the guide roller relative to the guide curve refers in particular to any characteristic of this rolling, such as any imbalance during rolling, vibrations caused by a damaged surface of the guide roller, vibrations caused by a damaged surface of the guide curve and the like.
[0019] According to the invention, the device comprises an evaluation device which is suitable and intended to evaluate this recorded measured value taking into account at least one further operating value characteristic of the operation of the device and / or a container treatment plant, wherein the device is a component of this treatment plant.
[0020] It is therefore proposed that the measured values not only be recorded and stored as such, and that information be derived directly from them, but that an evaluation also be carried out taking into account the aforementioned characteristic (operating) value for the operation of the device. This characteristic (operating) value can, for example, be a production speed, as described in more detail below, but also ambient values such as temperature and the like.
[0021] In addition, this characteristic value can also be a value that is characteristic of the operation of the device itself, such as a stretch rod position of a specific forming station (in particular a forming station to which a monitored guide roller is assigned or the like). In addition, the operating value can also be an operating value that is characteristic of another device (of the same container treatment plant). The operating value can also be a value that is characteristic of the container treated by the device.
[0022] In a preferred embodiment, at least one roller is pressed and / or forced against a guide curve with a predetermined force (this can be the case, for example, with a locking and blowing nozzle curve or, for example, with a labeling curve). Preferably, the roller is actively pressed against the curve (for example, using a spring).
[0023] In a further embodiment, at least two rollers are positively guided in a curve and in particular a grooved curve (in the applicant's machines, this may be a main curve or a curve for moving swivel arms in a pitch-delay star). In this case, a guiding and / or urging and / or contact pressure occurs, in particular due to a movement sequence.
[0024] The invention is therefore based on the idea that not only the movement of the guide rollers themselves is monitored, but also this movement in the context of other variables. This allows more precise statements to be made as to whether a specific signal from the detection device is due to a fault in a specific guide roller or has other causes caused by the operation of the device or a higher-level container handling device.
[0025] Preferably, the evaluation device is suitable and intended to output a result value, in particular a result value from which a user can deduce how to proceed. For example, a result value can indicate that a guide roller of a specific forming station will soon fail. A result value can also indicate that a guide roller associated with a specific holding device for holding containers will soon fail. The result value can also be fed to a system control system, which then initiates corresponding controls of the container handling system, such as slower operation or even a machine stop.
[0026] Particularly preferably, at least one holding device, and preferably a plurality of holding devices, is provided for holding individual containers. The transport device preferably has a plurality of such holding devices.
[0027] Preferably, the transport device comprises a movable and in particular rotatable carrier on which these holding devices are arranged.
[0028] In a preferred embodiment, each holding device is assigned a treatment device. Conversely, each treatment device is preferably assigned at least one, and preferably exactly one, holding device. In a further preferred embodiment, each treatment device and / or each holding device is assigned at least one guide roller. However, it would also be possible for several guide rollers to be assigned to a specific treatment device (for example, to perform different movements such as a closing movement of blow molds or a stretch rod movement).
[0029] The said cam roller is preferably connected either to the treatment device or to the holding device associated with this treatment device, so that the treatment device or the holding device follows a movement of the cam roller (in a direction different from the transport direction of the containers). However, it would also be possible for both the holding devices and the treatment devices to be coupled to a cam roller.
[0030] Therefore, the guide cam causes, for example, a movement of the cam roller in a direction perpendicular to the transport path (of the containers), and the treatment device coupled to the guide roller or the holding device for the containers follows this movement.
[0031] In a preferred embodiment, the direction of movement is perpendicular to the transport path of the containers. The guide curve is preferably arranged stationary.
[0032] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device comprises a second guide curve that controls or effects at least one further movement of the treatment device or a component of this treatment device or of another treatment device. Preferably, this second guide curve also comprises at least one detection device that is suitable and intended to detect at least one second measured value that is characteristic of a running characteristic of the roller relative to the guide curve.
[0033] In this case, the evaluation device is preferably suitable and intended to take into account the measured values of both detection devices, wherein in this case the measured value of the second detection device is the further (operating) value characteristic for the operation of the device.
[0034] For example, in the case of a blow molding machine, an opening mechanism that opens and closes the blow molds can be driven by means of a guide cam and, on the other hand, a movement of a stretching rod or a blowing nozzle, which is fed onto the plastic preforms to be expanded, can be moved by a (further) guide cam.
[0035] The present invention will be described below with reference to a forming device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers, as well as with reference to a labeling machine. However, it should be noted that the invention is also applicable to other types of machines, such as filling machines, sterilization machines, or inspection machines.
[0036] In the case of a machine, detection devices are already known from the applicant's internal state of the art (a special cutout in the guide cam and a sensor are provided). These are used in conjunction with a guide cam, in particular to monitor individual rollers.
[0037] Initially, attempts have already been made to implement this system in the main curve (of a forming machine). However, the aim is also to create a way to use this system to detect a bearing defect in a (specific) guide roller.
[0038] In a second step, an attempt will be made to use this system for a blow nozzle curve and other curves, such as those used in a pitch distortion star.
[0039] Preferably, this described system is adapted, designed and integrated accordingly for all curve applications.
[0040] Preferably, the measured values of these recording devices, for example vibration sensors, are transferred, in particular together with other machine parameters such as the machine speed or the machine power, to a higher-level data recording system and are preferably processed and stored there.
[0041] The at least one operating value can be a machine parameter or process parameter (e.g. a parameter of the furnace or the blow molding machine) which is selected from a group of machine parameters which includes a machine speed, a machine power, a machine condition (e.g. a year of manufacture and / or information on a retrofit and / or a machine condition check), a machine type (e.g. information on a machine generation), a (current) time indication, a container size or preform size characteristic of a container to be treated or treated, and the like, as well as combinations thereof.
[0042] The container size may be a size characteristic of a container type (finished container or preform) and / or a container type and / or a container material and / or a composition of the container material (e.g. recycled material) and / or a (geometric) dimension of the container.
[0043] The at least one operating value can (additionally or alternatively) be an environmental variable that is characteristic of an environment in which the device is installed. The environmental variable can be characteristic of an air humidity, a climatic condition or climate, an indoor and / or outdoor temperature (of a hall in which the device is installed), an air pressure, a (geometric) variable characteristic of the positioning of the device, such as a variable characteristic of a subsurface (gradient, condition) of the machine hall, and the like, as well as combinations thereof.
[0044] It is possible that the measured values of these vibration sensors are preprocessed, for example, in a control system.
[0045] Preferably, the device is designed in such a way that data processing is already carried out in a machine control system or that parts thereof or only individual results are forwarded to a data acquisition system.
[0046] It is also possible for the entire processing to take place in a higher-level system (e.g. a production line, on the Internet or in a cloud), which preferably processes and analyses all data from a large number of machines in the line or production accordingly.
[0047] With the aforementioned detection device, for example a built-in vibration sensor in conjunction with a special cutout (the guide curve), increased vibrations, damage to the race of a roller and damage to a bearing can be detected and preferably also assigned to a specific treatment station, for example a forming station.
[0048] Troubleshooting is made much easier by assigning the tool to a specific forming station. Depending on the design, wear on a specific guide roller can also be detected.
[0049] In a preferred embodiment, the device comprises an assignment device which assigns to a measured value an operating value which is characteristic of the operation of the device and in particular an operating value which is characteristic of a period or point in time at which the measured value was recorded and / or at which the said measured value occurred.
[0050] This mapping makes it possible to view specific measured values in a machine context, for example, in connection with a current operating speed, but also in connection with environmental parameters. This allows a much more accurate picture of the measured values occurring to be drawn.
[0051] In a further preferred embodiment, the device comprises a timer device which is suitable and intended to assign a measurement of a measured value and / or the measured value itself a period of time and / or a point in time in or at which this measured value was measured.
[0052] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device comprises a storage device suitable and intended for storing a plurality of measured values, wherein these measured values can preferably be stored with an assignment to operating values. In this way, a large number of data can be recorded, wherein the respective contexts of the measured values, such as operating states (and preferably also the times at which they occurred), are also stored.
[0053] In addition, individual measured values can also be assigned to other measured values, for example, from the same processing station. For example, a specific measured value from a vibration sensor can be assigned to a value for a stretch rod position or a (current) opening or closing state of a forming station.
[0054] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device comprises a plurality of treatment devices and in particular a plurality of similar treatment devices which are suitable and intended to treat containers and in particular containers transported by the transport device in a predetermined manner.
[0055] Preferably, each of these treatment devices is assigned at least one cam roller. For example, these treatment devices can be forming stations that expand plastic preforms into plastic containers. These treatment devices are preferably arranged on a common support, in particular on a common movable and, in particular, rotatable support.
[0056] Preferably, these forming stations each have blow molds and / or blow mold carriers that can be pivoted to open and close the blow molds. This pivoting action is preferably effected by a guide cam and a guide roller rolling against this guide cam.
[0057] In addition, the forming stations can each have locking mechanisms which lock the side parts of the blow molds together when the blow molds are closed.
[0058] Preferably, these forming stations each comprise rod-like bodies, in particular so-called stretching rods, which can be inserted into the interior of the plastic preforms in order to stretch them in their longitudinal direction. The movement of these stretching rods can also be effected by a guide cam and at least one cam roller associated with the respective stretching rod.
[0059] Preferably, the forming stations each have application devices that can be applied to the plastic preforms to apply a liquid medium, in particular compressed air, to them. This movement of the application devices can also be effected by a guide curve and a guide roller associated with this guide curve.
[0060] Particularly preferably, these treatment devices are arranged on a common, in particular movable and in particular rotatable, support, wherein the holding devices for holding the containers to be treated are preferably also arranged on this support. Preferably, each treatment device is assigned exactly one holding device. This holding device can be designed as a gripping clamp, but it would also be conceivable for other elements, such as blow molds, to serve as holding devices.
[0061] In a preferred embodiment, each of the holding devices for holding the plastic containers (or plastic preforms) or generally each of the containers is assigned a guide roller which carries out at least one movement perpendicular to the transport path.
[0062] The treatment devices and / or the holding devices are preferably arranged, as mentioned, on a common movable and particularly rotatable support.
[0063] Preferably, recorded and / or stored measured values can also be used for a monitoring system and / or for outputting messages to a display device, for example a mobile phone, tablet, or similar. These messages can be used to inform specific groups of people, such as operating personnel, about maintenance or the like.
[0064] The current measured values, for example, from a vibration measurement, can be correlated with other values that influence the vibration values, such as the customer object being produced, the plastic preforms used, or other container parameters. In addition, machine parameters, heating parameters, production parameters, and, if applicable, the operating time of the machine in question or ambient conditions can also be used or set, allowing for preferential evaluation with dynamic and possibly even station-specific (limit) values.
[0065] In another preferred embodiment, a history of the machine and / or device can also be taken into account. This allows an emerging trend to be identified early on, and based on this, a forecast of the remaining operating time until a critical machine condition occurs (predictive maintenance).
[0066] In a preferred embodiment, an algorithm is provided that can be trained based on data from multiple machines or devices in order to continuously learn during operation. In particular, artificial intelligence (AI) is used.
[0067] Preferably, all available data from as large a number of containers as possible and a wide variety of production data and / or environmental data and / or measured values (in particular the measured values characteristic of the physical properties of the support rings) are brought together and / or assigned to one another and preferably a model is formed from this.
[0068] Various options can be considered for modeling. For example, classic correlation analyses or dimensional analyses can be performed. Relationships can also be modeled using mathematical fitting functions.
[0069] Furthermore, a model can be created, especially with the involvement of an expert. Various AI methods, such as a neural network, reinforcement learning, or physically based AI, are also conceivable, which generate a model.
[0070] Preferably, the determination of the at least one result value, preferably of operating parameters and / or environmental parameters, is carried out with a, preferably trainable, machine learning model, which is preferably based on an (artificial) neural network and in particular on at least one, and in particular exactly one, (artificial) neural network.
[0071] The data that flows into the model (as input variables) can be generated during standard production or in special production runs in which specific parameters are specifically varied.
[0072] It is also conceivable to combine both methods and to generate a basic set of data for a basic model in a “teaching run” and then gradually feed data into the system during ongoing production and, if necessary, sharpen the model.
[0073] Preferably, the neural network is designed as a deep neural network (DNN), in which the parameterizable processing chain has a plurality of processing layers, and / or a so-called convolutional neural network (CNN) and / or a recurrent neural network (RNN).
[0074] Preferably, the data (to be processed or preferably evaluated by the evaluation device), in particular the measured value detected by the detection device (preferably the measured values detected by the detection devices), such as the data of a vibration sensor (or data derived therefrom) and / or the data of the treatment device and / or the at least one operating value (preferably a plurality of operating values), are fed to a model or the (artificial) neural network as input variables. Preferably, the model or the artificial neural network maps the input variables to output variables depending on a parameterizable processing chain, wherein the result value is preferably selected as the output variable and a plurality of result values are preferably selected as the output variables.
[0075] Preferably, the evaluation device, which is preferably processor-based, evaluates the at least one measured value or the plurality of measured values and the at least one operating value or the plurality of operating values by means of the model.
[0076] It is also conceivable that the model is fed not only with input variables related to exactly one device, but also with input variables related to at least two and preferably a plurality of devices. Thus, for each device, a data set comprising at least one measured value (detected by a detection device) and at least one operating value (preferably a plurality of operating values) could be fed as input variables.
[0077] The data to be fed into the model as input variables can be retrieved and / or transmitted (at least partially, and preferably all) from an external storage device. The external storage device can be a storage device external to the device, which is located, in particular, at a distance from the device's operating premises. Therefore, the external storage device can advantageously collect the data from multiple devices (in particular, independently of the respective operator of the device) and evaluate them (e.g., by the external server).
[0078] Preferably, a plurality of input variables are fed into the model, all of which are and / or can be assigned to a predetermined and / or predeterminable period of time (in which they were collected or determined). This plurality of input variables (of the same collection period) preferably comprises at least 10, preferably at least 50, preferably at least 100 different input variables.
[0079] Preferably, the plurality of devices are devices for treating containers with the same (basic) treatment objective, for example, the transformation of plastic preforms into plastic containers. It is also conceivable that several or all of the plurality of devices are identical in design. It is also conceivable that several or all of the plurality of devices are similar in design or of different generations. It is also conceivable that the plurality of devices are devices from the same manufacturer.
[0080] Preferably, several or all of the plurality of devices are not arranged on the same premises and / or not in the same machine hall.
[0081] Preferably, the plurality of devices comprises at least two, preferably at least 5, preferably at least 10 and particularly preferably at least 100 devices different from one another (in pairs).
[0082] Preferably, at least one result value is characteristic of an operating state and / or error state of the device and / or a component of this device and / or a component connected to the device (such as a further treatment device located upstream or downstream in the transport direction of the containers).
[0083] Preferably, the model and / or the evaluation device is suitable and intended to recognize patterns from the plurality of input variables by carrying out pattern recognition, which lead to an operating state of the device that deviates from an intended operating state and / or require or cause and / or effect such an operating state.
[0084] An operating state that deviates from an intended operating state is understood, in particular, to be an operating state of the device in which a fault state and / or a critical operating state in which a fault state will occur with a high (perhaps predetermined) probability within a predetermined and / or predeterminable period of time. An operating state that deviates from an intended operating state can also be understood to be an operating state that leads to and / or causes unintended and / or above-average wear and / or consumption of resources (e.g., energy consumption) that exceeds a predetermined and / or predeterminable level.
[0085] It is conceivable that - for example by an operator of the device - it is possible and / or predefined which operating states are to be assigned to the category of intended operating states and which operating states are to be assigned to the category of unintended operating states. For example, if an operating state occurs that the operator considers unintended, this operating state could be marked as unintended. This can be done in real time (for example by monitoring the device) or retroactively (by marking historical data). Such a marking can be stored with a timestamp together with the measured values and other data (such as operating values) recorded during the same period and assigned to these.
[0086] Preferably, the evaluation device carries out a pattern recognition with a first predetermined data set of input variables as well as the respective variable(s) characteristic of an operating state of the device and / or the respective time stamp(s) assigned thereto in a pattern recognition phase, in which the evaluation device obtains patterns.
[0087] The evaluation device preferably performs a classification based on the acquired patterns, which is preferably carried out by assigning the input variables (assigned to a predetermined period of time) to one or more classes. The classes are preferably characteristic of at least one operating state of the device or at least one operating state that deviates from the intended operating state.
[0088] Preferably (during operation of the device) upon detection of at least one pattern obtained by pattern recognition in the supplied input variables, which leads to a predetermined and / or predeterminable probability of an operating state deviating from an intended operating state, a warning variable and / or notification variable is determined and / or provided for output (to the operator of the device) and / or output (by means of a display device).
[0089] It is conceivable that, even after an initial pattern acquisition phase, the evaluation device continuously and / or at regular or predetermined and / or predeterminable time intervals analyzes the data (input variables) supplied to it (or to the model) for further and / or new patterns (to be acquired) or evaluates them for updating and / or improving the patterns. Continuous pattern recognition or pattern acquisition preferably occurs simultaneously with the identification of patterns currently occurring in the input variables. The evaluation device is preferably suitable and intended, preferably after confirmation by an operator, to take new and / or modified patterns (acquired by pattern recognition) into account when evaluating the input variables supplied in the future and / or to no longer take previous patterns into account.
[0090] It is also conceivable that the essential input variables leading to the recognized pattern could be determined as (further) output variables and made available for output (to the device operator) and / or displayed (via a display device). These could thus be visually highlighted in a special way.
[0091] Preferably, the system now adjusts the performance of the system components and in particular the physical properties of the cam rollers or the guide curves to the target performance, in particular to the target properties of these cam rollers or guide curves, particularly on the basis of the existing model during the production run (or during short breaks).
[0092] To this end, the treatment device, in particular the heating device and / or the forming device and / or the labeling device, preferably attempts to adjust the controllable production data in such a way that the desired performance and / or quality is achieved. In particular, the operation of the container treatment system can also be adapted to the actual state of the guide rollers.
[0093] When it comes to production data, a distinction is preferably made between three different types of data and / or parameters, namely directly controllable data or parameters (e.g. machine speed or filling pressure or heating power), indirectly controllable parameters (wall thickness distribution, preform temperature at the furnace outlet or filling level or the properties of the finished or labelled containers) and non-controllable values (humidity, IR absorption behaviour or hall temperature).
[0094] To achieve the desired target performance and / or target conditions, particularly with regard to the condition of the cam roller and / or the guide cam, various cascaded models may be used. For example, it is conceivable that there is a model that adjusts an indirectly controllable variable (e.g., wall thickness distribution or properties characteristic of the support ring) by adjusting directly controllable values (e.g., heating controller, heating devices, stretching speed, or blowing pressures) in such a way that the design of the support ring stored in the main model is generated for the current hall temperature in order to achieve the target performance.
[0095] Another factor that can be preferentially incorporated into the model are constraints such as energy requirements, filling pressure, or the force with which a blowing nozzle is applied to the plastic preforms to be expanded. For example, an attempt can be made to achieve the desired performance as closely as possible while minimizing energy consumption.
[0096] It is also conceivable that the model will be gradually refined by repeatedly collecting performance data and comparing it with the model forecast data.
[0097] The present invention will now be explained using a specific example, namely a blow molding machine. Such blow molding machines comprise a rotatable transport carrier on which a plurality of forming stations are arranged, which form plastic preforms into plastic containers. Furthermore, these machines preferably also comprise stretching units, which stretch the plastic preforms in their longitudinal direction. These machines preferably also comprise process controls, which, in particular, regulate the forming processes individually for each forming station.
[0098] In addition, as mentioned above, these machines preferably have heating devices that heat the plastic preforms.
[0099] Preferably, a movement of the stretching rod device and / or the movement of a blowing nozzle device and / or an opening and / or closing movement of a blow mold is effected by guide curves and guide rollers rolling on these guide curves.
[0100] During the process development phase or during validation of the properties of the guide rollers and / or guide curves, it is preferable to disassemble several rollers and subsequently subject them to quality tests. Optimization loops are preferably run iteratively until the detection quality is deemed satisfactory.
[0101] If it turns out that the best result was already found at the beginning of this optimization loop and no further improvement could be found afterwards despite prolonged efforts, these initial results would also be accepted as a compromise.
[0102] In the following, offline measurements are defined as measurements on guide curves and / or guide rollers that are performed outside of a manufacturing process and are ultimately intended to verify whether a guide roller and / or guide curve meets the required quality standards. These measurements include, for example, force measurements, vibration measurements, speed measurements, and the like outside of a production facility.
[0103] Online measurements are understood to mean measurements that can be carried out during production and in particular without the removal of containers and / or plastic preforms (such as vibration measurements during operation, force measurements during operation and the like).
[0104] If these measurements correlate sufficiently well with the actual quality requirements, offline measurements can be reduced or eliminated entirely.
[0105] However, as mentioned above, offline measurements and online measurements carried out with respect to the same cam roller are preferably assigned to each other.
[0106] In another preferred method, both offline measurements, i.e., measurements outside of operational mode, and online measurements, which are performed during production, are performed. Identification information can preferably be specified or output for both these offline measurements and online measurements.
[0107] The identification information, or the derivation ID, makes it possible to precisely match the online control target with the "best offline measurement data." Currently, the target values of the online measurement data are recorded by the measurement system during the learning phase (DoE (statistical design of experiments)) and then transferred to the control system.
[0108] These are preferably not identical to the values that were achieved in the validation process, but “only” those online measured values that result from repeating the best setting parameters (best setpoint settings) from the validation process in the teach-in phase (DoE).
[0109] Since the interference to be corrected can cause a deterioration in container quality even with identical setting parameters, there is a risk that the control target during the learning phase will not be the best possible container quality, but rather a less favorable wall thickness profile. The control target would thus be worse than desired by a customer.
[0110] However, if the respective identification information is available for the test rolls released during the validation process, then not only the complete setting parameters of the stretch blow molding machine and / or the heating device (best setpoint settings) but also the associated online measurement data for these rolls can be transferred from the database alone, in conjunction with the associated time stamp data, back to the measuring unit and the control system as a perfect control target.
[0111] Furthermore, it is possible that the data or measured values obtained can be used for comparison and / or analysis purposes, in particular to draw conclusions about different machine sizes, machine designs or even other machines, for example with regard to spare parts service life and to obtain production forecasts and thus to further increase customer benefits.
[0112] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device comprises a comparison device that compares measured values, for example, vibration values, with at least one target value and preferably outputs a comparison value characteristic of this comparison. This preferably outputs a comparison between actual values, for example, of a vibration measurement, and target values. This comparison value is preferably a difference or a quotient or the like. Particularly preferably, this comparison value is stored.
[0113] In an advantageous embodiment, the device comprises a selection device suitable and intended for selecting a target value from a plurality of target values. This allows, for example, a preselection of a target value to be made, for example, depending on a container to be treated, a machine speed, or the like. For example, a plurality of target values for vibration measurements can be stored in a memory device, each of which is assigned to different operating speeds.
[0114] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device has at least one further sensor device, which is suitable and intended to record at least one value characteristic of influencing factors. This value is preferably selected from a group of values, which includes temperature values, pressure values, humidity values, values characteristic of the containers to be treated (such as the material of the container and / or plastic preform or a wall thickness or weight), values characteristic, for example, of a label adhesive, and the like.
[0115] Particularly preferably, the evaluation device is suitable and intended to also take these values into account.
[0116] In a further advantageous embodiment, the detection device comprises an evaluation module that is suitable and intended for evaluating measured values—particularly taking into account the output of a rotary encoder—in order to assign the measured values to the individual guide rollers on a guide curve or to guide rollers on different guide curves. This rotary encoder is preferably assigned to a rotatable support on which the individual treatment devices are arranged.
[0117] In a further advantageous embodiment, the assignment can be carried out taking into account predetermined data. The assignment can be carried out taking into account a specific group of data or also taking into account different types of data.
[0118] Preferably, the data are selected from a group of data which contains a rotation angle, in particular of a transport carrier (or a treatment device) or a position of a transport device, the position of a treatment device and / or time information, or a signal of a rotary encoder.
[0119] In this configuration, it is particularly determined at what point in time a specific measured value was evaluated. In addition, a rotary encoder can be used to determine which treatment station (and thus which cam roller(s)) was located at the position of the sensor device at that time.
[0120] In a further advantageous embodiment, the device is selected from a group of devices which includes forming devices for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers, filling devices for filling containers, sterilizing devices for sterilizing containers, heating devices for heating plastic preforms, printing devices for printing containers, labeling devices for labeling containers, closing devices for closing containers with container closures and cleaning devices for cleaning containers.
[0121] In a further advantageous embodiment, the detection device comprises at least one sensor device that detects at least one measured value that is characteristic of at least one movement variable of the guide roller or the treatment devices or the holding device. This sensor device is particularly preferably selected from a group of sensor devices that includes speed sensors, force sensors, acceleration sensors, vibration sensors, and the like.
[0122] For example, the occurrence of a certain vibration on a guide curve can be used to conclude that a guide roller rolling on this guide curve is wearing out (but possibly also that the guide curve itself is wearing out).
[0123] The present invention is further directed to a container treatment system with at least one device of the type described above. According to the invention, the container treatment system has a further device for treating containers, which is preferably suitable and intended to treat the containers in a different manner than the aforementioned device. Preferably, a (further) detection device is also provided, which is suitable and intended to detect at least one measured value characteristic of this further device. Preferably, the evaluation device is suitable and intended to also consider this further measured value in the evaluation.
[0124] This design takes into account that values from other machines in a container processing system can often influence the corresponding device and the values recorded by the detection device. For example, values from a heating device for plastic preforms can affect the actual forming of the containers.
[0125] Preferably, the measured values mentioned can be stored together with other machine parameters. Particularly preferably, a higher-level data acquisition system is provided that processes and stores these measured values.
[0126] Particularly preferred is processing at the container handling system or machine. Particularly preferred is transferring only individual data points.
[0127] In a further advantageous embodiment, a higher-level system is provided in which the data can be processed. It is also possible for data or measured values from multiple machines or devices to be processed and analyzed.
[0128] In a further modified embodiment, the said detection device is arranged on the guide curve in such a way that the detection device can selectively detect the running property for each individual roller, these individual rollers rolling on the guide curve.
[0129] In a further advantageous embodiment, the guide curve has a first guide curve region and a second guide curve region. Advantageously, these first and second guide curve regions are (mechanically) decoupled from each other. Particularly preferably, a sensor of the detection device is arranged in one of the two guide curve regions, and in particular in the second (or first) guide curve region.
[0130] In a further preferred embodiment, the detection device has a detection path which (mechanically) couples a first guide curve region and a second guide curve region to one another, wherein a sensor device of the detection device for detecting vibrations is preferably arranged in the second guide curve region and is provided in particular for detecting those vibrations which are injected into the detection path by a guide roller.
[0131] Particularly preferably, the first guide curve region and the second guide curve region are decoupled from one another by a recess and / or a gap. Particularly preferably, the first guide curve region and the second guide curve region are connected to one another only in the region of a detection path.
[0132] In a further advantageous embodiment, the detected path is designed such that the second guide curve region of a predetermined detection direction oscillates relative to the guide curve region when a roll is picked up on the detection path.
[0133] Particularly preferably, the detection section is insensitive to vibrations injected into the remaining rolling path of the guide cam. This allows the detection device to specifically assign occurring vibrations to a specific guide roller. This is preferably also achieved by evaluating signals from a rotary encoder.
[0134] In a further advantageous embodiment, this section has a length that corresponds at least to the outer circumference of a guide roller that picks up material along the section. This allows for precise assignment to a specific guide roller and thus preferably also to a specific treatment facility.
[0135] In a further advantageous embodiment, the predetermined detection device is arranged perpendicular to a plane in which the guide rollers roll along the detection path.
[0136] In a further advantageous embodiment, the extension of the second guide curve region in the direction of the length of the detection path is greater than the length of the detection path.
[0137] In a further advantageous embodiment, the detection device is designed as a sensor which has an acceleration sensor which is particularly suitable and intended for detecting acceleration amplitudes.
[0138] In a preferred method, the evaluation device is an external evaluation device, in particular a cloud-based and / or an external server. An external server is understood to mean, in particular, an external server with regard to the device, in particular a backend server. The external server is, for example, a backend of a manufacturer of the device or a service provider, which is configured to evaluate and / or manage and / or store measured values and / or data derived therefrom and / or error states of the device and / or operating states of the devices. The functions of the backend or the external server can be carried out on (external) server farms. The (external) server can be a distributed system. The external server and / or the backend can be cloud-based.
[0139] The present invention is further directed to a method for treating containers, wherein a transport device transports the containers to be treated along a predetermined transport path and at least one treatment device treats at least one container and preferably a container transported by the transport device in a predetermined manner, wherein the device has a movement device which preferably effects a relative movement between the container to be treated and the treatment device in a direction of movement.
[0140] Furthermore, this movement device comprises at least one first guide curve and a guide roller that rolls relative to the first guide curve. Furthermore, the device comprises a detection device that detects at least one measured value that is characteristic of a running characteristic of the guide roller relative to the guide curve.
[0141] According to the invention, the device has an evaluation device which evaluates this recorded measured value taking into account at least one further value characteristic of the operation of the device.
[0142] Particularly preferably, a further parameter or value characteristic of the treatment process is recorded and preferably this further parameter is taken into account in the evaluation.
[0143] This additional characteristic value can be, for example, a temperature, a pressure, a humidity or the like.
[0144] Particularly preferably, the value characteristic of the operation of the device and / or the further characteristic value or parameter is taken into account when determining target values.
[0145] Further advantages and embodiments can be seen from the attached drawings.

[0147] In the figures, identical or functionally equivalent elements are provided with the same reference numerals unless otherwise indicated.
[0148] Fig. 1 shows a container treatment plant 1 for treating containers 2, hereinafter also referred to as containers, which may be bottles, cans, crates, containers, barrels, etc., and which can preferably be provided with a very schematically illustrated label 3 and / or any desired printing 4 as identification.
[0149] For this purpose, the container treatment plant 1 comprises, as an example, first to fourth devices 10, 20, 30, 40 for treating containers (hereinafter referred to as devices), which are preferably coupled and / or synchronized with one another. However, the container treatment plant 1 can also comprise only one or two or three of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40. More devices 10, 20, 30, 40 can also be present. Accordingly, any desired number of devices 10, 20, 30, 40 is possible. Fig. For the sake of simplicity, not all containers 2 are shown or provided with a reference symbol in Figure 1.
[0150] These individual devices 10, 20, 30, 40 preferably each have transport devices (not designated by their own reference numerals) that transport the containers during their treatment. These transport devices preferably each have transport star wheels or transport wheels that are provided with holding devices for holding the containers.
[0151] At least one of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 is a device according to the invention. Preferably, several of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 are devices according to the invention, and particularly preferably, all of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 are devices according to the invention.
[0152] A container 2 can, for example, be a container with a maximum capacity of approximately 0.33 liters, 0.5 liters, or 1.5 liters, etc. Other capacities are also conceivable. The shape of the container 2 can be freely selected. Furthermore, the material of the container 2 can be freely selected, such as glass, plastic, especially PET, aluminum, etc.
[0153] A transport device 50 is provided in the inlet of the first device 10. This transport device 50, with the aid of a transport rail 51 and a guide curve 54 (hereinafter also referred to as a lifting curve), feeds containers 2 to the first device 10 either in a row or as a container stream. The guide curve 54 forms a rotary transport device, which preferably also has a rotary encoder 53. The guide curve 54 is also preferably provided with a detection device 55.
[0154] The reference numeral 100 refers to an evaluation device which, as described in more detail below, is suitable and intended to evaluate measured values of the detection device(s), wherein, within the scope of this evaluation, further values characteristic of the operation of one or more devices for treating containers are also taken into account, such as values of individual or multiple sensors of a labelling device, as described in more detail below.
[0155] Reference numeral 102 denotes an assignment device that assigns an operating value to the measured value(s) that is characteristic of the operation of the respective device or of the entire container treatment plant. This operating value can be an operating value originating from the same device on which the measured value is measured or from another of the devices. The operating value can also be an ambient value, such as an ambient temperature, or an operating value that is characteristic of the entire container treatment plant, such as a production speed. This operating value is preferred.
[0156] In particular, this operating value can also be saved with a time assignment, ie it is preferably recorded at the time or in the period at which the measured value was recorded.
[0157] Preferably, a memory device 104 is further provided in which a plurality of measured values, in particular with the operating values associated with these measured values and preferably also with a time at which these values occur, can be stored.
[0158] Reference numeral 106 denotes a comparison device, which is suitable and intended for comparing recorded measured values with target values. These target values are preferably selected from a plurality of target values by a selection device. This selection is particularly preferably carried out using artificial intelligence.
[0159] The first device 10 is preferably designed as a rotary machine with a guide curve 14, in which a detection device 15 is preferably provided.
[0160] In addition, the second device 20 in the example of a Fig. 1 rotary encoder 23 and a guide curve 24 with a detection device 25. In addition, the third container treatment machine 20 in the example preferably has a rotary encoder 33 and a guide curve 34 with a detection device 35.
[0161] The transport direction TR of the containers 2 is indicated by arrows and also results from the row of containers 2 along the devices 10, 20, 30, 40.
[0162] Between the third and fourth devices 30, 40, the containers 2 are transported by a transport device 60 using transport modules 61, 62, 63. The transport module 61 has a guide curve 64, on which a detection device 65 and a rotary encoder 66 are provided.
[0163] These transport modules are preferably designed as star-shaped conveyors, which have a rotatable support on which a plurality of holding devices for holding the plastic preforms or plastic containers are arranged. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of these transport modules is designed as a pitch-adjusting star-shaped conveyor, which is suitable and intended for changing the pitch or spacing of successively transported plastic preforms or plastic containers.
[0164] Otherwise, the transport devices 50, 60 in the example in Fig. 1 multifunctional star wheels or carousels for transporting the containers 2. It is also possible that at least one of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 is alternatively designed as a multifunctional star wheel or carousel or has such a wheel.
[0165] In the example of Fig. 1, the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 and the transport devices 50, 60 form a block with a very compact design. The fourth device 40 can also be arranged near or adjacent to the block comprising the devices 10, 20, 30 and the transport devices 50, 60, although this is not shown in FIG.
[0166] However, the container treatment plant 1 and the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 are not limited to this and can also be arranged in a separate configuration.
[0167] In the example of Fig. 1, the first device 10 is a filling machine in which the containers 2 are moved to very schematically illustrated filling valves 17, 18, with which at least one product from at least one filling tank is filled into the containers 2 supplied by the transport device 50. The filling valves preferably move with the containers. The product can be, for example, a food product, in particular a beverage, etc., or a cleaning agent or cosmetic product, or a powder or bulk product, in particular beads, etc., or any other product that can be filled into container 2.
[0168] A sensor 72 for measuring the fill level of the product in the filling tank 19 can also be provided on the filling tank 19. Reference numeral 74 denotes a further sensor that is suitable and intended for detecting a valve position of a filling valve.
[0169] Preferably, the values or data output by these sensor devices 72, 74 can be used by the evaluation device as further values characteristic of the operation of the device. However, this filling tank can also preferably be arranged on a rotatable support and thus rotate with it.
[0170] In the example of Fig. 1, the second container processing machine 20 is a capper, which is connected downstream of the filling machine or first container processing machine 10. In the capper, which serves as the second container processing machine 20, the containers 2 are provided with a closure cap and thus sealed using, for example, at least one screw drive device 26, 27. For simplicity, further components of the second container processing machine 20 are not shown or described.
[0171] Reference numeral 76 denotes a further sensor that detects at least one value characteristic of a container closing process. This can be, for example, the rotational position of a closure relative to a container to be closed. Values output by this further sensor can preferably also be used as additional values by the evaluation device for evaluation.
[0172] In the example of Fig. 1, the third device 30 is a labeling machine which labels the containers 2 filled by the filling machine or first device 10 and then closed by the second device 20, for example by means of the label 3 and / or any printing 4. For this purpose, the labeling machine in the example of Fig. 1, the guide curve 34. On the guide curve 34, the containers 2 are guided by means of holders past four different modules, which are in particular equipment modules 36, 37, 38, 39. For example, equipment module 36 is a labeling and / or printing unit, equipment module 37 is a labeling unit, and equipment modules 38, 39 are designed as printing units. Accordingly, label 3 can be a prefabricated label. The label can also be a self-adhesive label.
[0173] Reference numeral 78 denotes a sensor that is suitable and intended to detect at least one value characteristic of the labeling process, such as the temperature of a labeling glue or the rotational speed of a labeling cylinder. Preferably, values output by this additional sensor can also be used as additional values by the evaluation device for evaluation.
[0174] However, the label 3 can also be printed at least partially by means of a labeling and / or printing unit, which is illustrated by the print 4. Alternatively, the labeling and / or printing unit can also print at least partially directly onto the label 3 or the container 2. In particular, the labeling and / or printing unit or units can be used with a printer, such as an inkjet or laser printer, to print an additional marking onto the containers 2 to ensure traceability of the containers 2 or products.
[0175] Alternatively, the equipment modules 35 to 38 can each be designed identically, so that all containers 2 are provided with the same type of markings, in particular labels 3. In the case of Fig. In the case shown in Figure 1, the containers 2 can be provided in particular with different types of labels, such as belly and / or breast labels and / or wrap-around labels from a roll or as sheets and / or self-adhesive labels and / or cold glue labels and / or hot glue labels, etc. Any combination of equipment modules 35 to 38 and thus types of markings, in particular types of labels, are conceivable and feasible.
[0176] For the sake of simplicity, further components of the third device 30, such as in particular print heads, sensors, drive devices for label rolls, etc., are not shown and described.
[0177] After the third device 30, the equipment machine in the previously selected example, the containers 2 are fed to the fourth device 40 by means of the transport device 60, as already mentioned above.
[0178] The fourth device 40 is, for example, a packaging machine in which the containers 2 are packaged in predetermined types and / or packaging sizes, for example as a bundle with two containers 2 or four containers 2, with or without a carrying handle, etc., or in a box or carton, etc. A shrinking station can be provided for producing bundles or for the cartons, for example. A lifting cam or guide cam with a detection device can also be provided in the packaging machine, even if this is not possible in Fig. 1 is not shown.
[0179] The device 40 also preferably has one or more sensor devices that record values characteristic of the operation of this device. This can, for example, be a value characteristic of the packaging process, such as the temperature of a shrink tunnel. Values output by this additional sensor can preferably also be used as additional values by the evaluation device for evaluation.
[0180] Reference numeral 80 roughly schematically designates a sensor device suitable and intended for recording ambient values, such as an ambient temperature, an ambient pressure, and the like. It would also be possible for each of the devices 10, 20, 30, 40 to be assigned such a sensor device, which records these ambient values (in particular locally relative to this device).
[0181] Preferably, values output by this sensor device can also be used as further values by the evaluation device for evaluation.
[0182] The previously described filling valves 17, 18, the drive devices 26, 27, the modules 36 to 39 and the retaining clamps described below are treatment elements 17, 18, 26, 27, 36 to 39, 162 of the container treatment system 1 or their respective devices 10, 20, 30, 40.
[0183] Above, the invention was explained with reference to a container treatment plant which has a filling device, a closing device, a labelling device and a packaging device as devices for treating containers.
[0184] However, the invention is also applicable to other container treatment systems, for example a system which has a device for heating plastic preforms, a forming device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers, a sterilization device for sterilizing plastic preforms and / or plastic containers and / or an inspection device for inspecting containers.
[0185] Sensors can be provided which detect other values, such as positions of stretching rods, blowing pressures, heating power of heating elements of the heating device and the like.
[0186] Fig. 2 shows, as an example, a highly simplified sectional view of the guide curve or lifting curve 14 with the detection device 15. The guide curves 24, 34, 54, 64 with the respectively associated detection devices 25, 35, 55, 65 are preferably designed in the same way, so that the following description of the guide curve 14 and the detection device 15 also applies to the guide curves 24, 34, 54, 64 with the respectively associated detection devices 25, 35, 55, 65.
[0187] A holder 16 for transporting a container 2 along the guide curve 14 is provided on the guide curve 14. The holder 16 has at least one (guide) roller 161, which rolls along the guide curve 14. More precisely, in the example of Fig. 2, a rolling element 1611 of the at least one (guide) roller 161 rests on top of the guide curve 14. For this purpose, the rolling element 1611 is preferably rotatably attached to the holder 16 via an axis 1612. In addition, the holder 16 preferably has a holding device and in particular a holding clamp 162 for holding the container 2. The holder 16 can be preloaded downward on the guide curve 14, for example by means of compression springs (not shown) or otherwise, so that the at least one (guide) roller 161 runs securely on the guide curve 14.
[0188] As well as from Fig. 3 in a plan view of another section of the guide curve 14, a plurality of rollers 161 generally run simultaneously on the guide curve 14. The (guide) rollers 161 roll with the outer circumference 1613 of the rolling element 1611
[0189] The (guide) curve 14 is preferably shaped such that the holder 16 is adjustable in height H. Alternatively, it is possible, for example, to adjust the height of a centering bell, which serves to center the containers 2 on a turntable. Any other applications for the guide curve 14 are conceivable.
[0190] The (guide) rollers 161 each inject vibrations into the guide curve 14. The vibrations can be detected by the detection device 15 as structure-borne sound or acceleration. To ensure that the structure-borne sound is not perceived only as broadband noise, the guide curve 14 and the detection device 15 are designed as described below. This makes it possible to detect the running characteristics of an individual (guide) roller 161 on the guide curve 14 with the detection device 15.
[0191] The guide curve 14, like any of the aforementioned guide curves, can alternatively be designed in a segmental shape. In this case, the rollers 161 do not run on a circle closed by the guide curve 14, but only on a predetermined circular segment. The guide curve 14, like any of the aforementioned guide curves, can alternatively or additionally have at least a partial linear or oval section, if this appears suitable for the respective application.
[0192] According to Fig. 4, the detection device 15 is partially integrated into the guide curve 14, which is specially designed for this purpose. The guide curve 14, which in Fig. 4 is only partially shown, has a first guide curve area 141, which in the example of FIG. 1 is shown as a circle segment.
[0193] However, the guide curve 14 can form a full circle, which includes the first guide curve area 141. In addition, the guide curve 14 has a second guide curve area 142, which Example of being designed as a single piece with the first guide curve region 141. The first and second guide curve regions 141, 142 are partially decoupled from each other by a first recess 143. The first and second guide curve regions 141, 142 are connected to each other only in the region of a detection path 144 and are thus coupled to each other.
[0194] The detection path 144 with a length L is provided along a rolling path 145 of the at least one roller 161 on the guide curve 14. In the example of Fig. 4, the rolling path 145 is arranged on top of the guide curve 14. A sensor 151 of the detection device 15 is arranged in a second recess 146 of the second guide curve region 142.
[0195] The first and second recesses 143, 146 are each arranged symmetrically to a line of symmetry 147 of the detection path 144 in the running direction of the roller 161 on the rolling path 145. The line of symmetry 147 is also the line of symmetry of the second guide curve region 142. Thus, the second recess 143 is arranged in the center of the second guide curve region 142. The second guide curve region 142 has a maximum extension B in the running direction of the at least one roller 161.
[0196] The maximum extension B of the second guide curve region 142 in the direction of the length L of the detection path 144 is greater than the length L of the detection path 144. In addition, the recess 143 is designed in a stepped manner in the region perpendicular to the detection direction MR or parallel to the rolling path 145 and the detection path 144. In the example of Fig. 4, the second guide curve region 142 has two steps extending from the symmetry line 147 to a portion of the recess 143 that is arranged approximately parallel to the symmetry line 147. The second guide curve region 142 is wider in its center at the symmetry line 147 than at its ends. The precise design of the guide curve region 142 can be freely selected within the framework of the following conditions.
[0197] If the at least one roller 161 runs at a distance A from an optional next roller 161 along the rolling path 145 in the transport direction TR, the sensor 151 successively records various detection results 1531A, 1531B, 1531C, which are related to Fig. 8 to Fig. 10 are explained in more detail.
[0198] To evaluate the condition, in particular the running characteristics, of an individual roller 161, the mechanical structure of the roller path 145 is designed such that the sensor 151 in the recess 146 is highly sensitive to structure-borne noise in the area of the detection path 144. In contrast, the sensor 151 in the recess 146 can hardly detect structure-borne noise outside the detection path 144, since excitations outside the detection path 144 are strongly suppressed or dampened.
[0199] The vibrational decoupling of the second guide curve region 142, including the sensor 151 arranged therein in the recess 146, from the first guide curve region 141 is achieved by a targeted design of the mass of the second guide curve region 142 and the rigidity of the connection of the first and second guide curve regions 141, 142 to one another.
[0200] As seen in summary of Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the connection 148 of the second guide curve region 142 is selected such that a low rigidity results in a predetermined detection direction MR, in which the vibrations are detected. In the two other directions of the three-dimensional space, the connection 148 of the second guide curve region 142 is designed to be stiffer than in the detection direction MR. In comparison, the connection 148 of the second guide curve region 142 is very stiff in the two other directions of the three-dimensional space. Depending on the application, the material of the detection section 144 can also be softer or have a lower rigidity than the material of the remaining rolling path 145 outside the detection section 144. The design of the connection 148 and the recess 143 ensure that the detection section 144 and the rolling path 145 are decoupled from one another in terms of vibration.
[0201] According to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the acceleration values are recorded perpendicular to the rolling path 145, which serves to roll the running surface of the roller 161 or to roll the outer circumference of the rolling element 1611. The rolling path 145 lies in a plane that is arranged approximately perpendicular to the predetermined detection direction MR.
[0202] The combination of mass and stiffness of the second guide cam portion 142 including the sensor 151 results in a natural frequency with which the second guide cam portion 142 oscillates in the detection direction MR, as shown in Fig. 5 illustrates.
[0203] As in Fig. 6 for different vibration frequencies f1, f2, f3, ... fn over the path s starting at 0 as the symmetry line 147, due to this arrangement, movements a, such as structure-borne sound or vibrations caused thereby with the frequencies f1, f2, f3, ... fn, are very strongly suppressed, which both have their origin at a path s outside the detection path 144 (length L) and have a higher frequency f than the natural frequency of the guide curve area 142 including the sensor 151 and point in the direction of the detection direction MR.
[0204] On the other hand, movements a, such as structure-borne sound or vibrations caused thereby with the frequencies f1, f2, f3, ... fn, which have their origin in the length L of the detection path 144 and point in the detection direction MR, will result in a high amplitude of the acceleration a, as in Fig. 6 shown.
[0205] The detection path 144 is designed to be so long between the recess 143 that the length L of the detection path 144 corresponds at least exactly to one revolution of the rolling element 1611 of a roller 161. The length L of the detection path 144 thus corresponds at least to the outer circumference of the rolling element 1611 of a roller 161. The maximum length L of the detection path 144 depends on the distance A between the rollers 161, which will be explained in more detail below.
[0206] As a result, the detection device 15 detects acceleration amplitudes having a higher frequency than the natural frequency of the second guide cam portion 142 including the sensor 151 as the detection results 1531A to 1531C.
[0207] According to Fig. 7, the detection device 15 has, in addition to the sensor 151, an evaluation module 152 and a memory module 153. The sensor 151 is configured, in particular, as an acceleration sensor. The detection results 1531A to 1531C of the sensor 151 are stored as an actual value or detection result 1531 in the memory module 153. In addition, at least one target value 1532 is stored in the memory module 153, which corresponds to a detection result of an ideal roller 161. The target value 1532 is, in particular, a reference curve. The detection result 1531 or the detection results 1531A to 1531C and the target value 1532 are each assigned to an output of the rotary encoder 13. Thus, the evaluation module 152 can evaluate the detection result 1531 or the detection results 1531A to 1531C and the target value 1532 in the correct position relative to each other on the guide curve 14. Thus, the detection results 1531A to 1531C can be assigned to the individual rollers 161 on the guide curve 14.
[0208] The evaluation result and / or the detection result 1531 or the detection results 1531A to 1531C and the target value 1532 are transmittable to an operating device 70. This makes it possible for an operator of the container treatment system 1 to be informed, upon request or automatically, about the running characteristics of at least one of the rollers 161. The wear condition of the respective roller 161 can be derived from the running characteristics by comparing them with the target value 1532. For example, a predetermined tolerance band can be defined for tolerable wear or tear. If the running characteristics of the roller 161 in question lie outside the tolerance band, the roller 161 is assessed as worn. Otherwise, the roller 161 in question can continue to be used. Instead of a tolerance band, however, only a limit can be defined, if exceeded, the roller 161 is assessed as worn.
[0209] Fig. 8 to Fig. 10 shows examples of the outputs of the detection results 1531A to 1531C. In each case, only the vibration or acceleration a is shown with respect to a frequency f. The detection result 1531A according to Fig. 8 corresponds to a detection of the vibrations or their frequencies f at the detection point in the measuring direction MR of the sensor 151, when a vibration with the acceleration a with always the same amplitude but variable frequency f is / are coupled in by a roller 161 at a position which is offset by an angle of approximately 4° with respect to the symmetry line 147, as shown in.
[0210] The recording result 1531B according to Fig. 4 Fig. 9 corresponds to a recording of the vibrations or their frequencies f for a roller 161, which instead of the position of 4° according to Fig. 8 is arranged at a position offset by an angle of approximately 16° relative to the symmetry line 147, as shown in. The detection result 1531C according to Fig. 4 Fig. 10 corresponds to a recording of the vibrations or their frequencies f for a roller 161, which instead of the position of 4° according to Fig. 8 is / are coupled at a position offset by an angle of approximately 28° relative to the symmetry line 147, as shown in Fig. 4 shown.
[0211] Fig. 8 to Fig. 10 thus each provide a frequency spectrum for the various positions of the rollers 161 on the guide curve 14. From this, the natural frequency f_E of the mechanical structure of the second guide curve region 142 can be clearly read, namely as the peak of the detectable amplitudes of the acceleration a over the frequency f at the respective positions 4°, 16°, and 28°.
[0212] Here, Fig. 8 to Fig. 10, the vertical scales of the display are chosen differently. Effectively, the amplitudes of the detection result 1531A for acceleration a are the largest and the amplitudes of the detection result 1531C for acceleration a are the smallest, even if this is clear from the direct comparison of Fig. 8 to Fig. 10. This is consistent with the representation of Fig. 6, according to which the amplitudes of the detected acceleration a decrease with increasing distance from the symmetry line 147.
[0213] Fig. 11 illustrates two cases, namely a first case in which a distance A1 exists between the axes 1612 of two consecutive rollers 161, and a second case in which a distance A2 exists between the axes 1612 of two consecutive rollers 161. Here, the development U of one revolution R of the rolling element 1611, or the outer circumference 1613 of a roller 161, is smaller than the length L of the detection path 144.
[0214] The evaluation module 152 of the detection device 15 calculates the amplitude of the acceleration a or a detection signal as an effective vibration value for an evaluation angle interval of the machine 10 assigned to a roller 161, whereby an amplitude of the acceleration a is calculated for each roller 161. This amplitude of the acceleration a is recalculated for each revolution of the machine 10 or each revolution of a roller 161 around the machine 10 and offset against previous detection values by averaging, which can be carried out in particular using an averaging algorithm of the evaluation module 152.
[0215] The result of this evaluation is in Fig. 12 for five consecutive rollers 161 for the first case, in which the distance A1 is present between the axes 1612 of two consecutive rollers 161. In Fig. Figure 13 shows the result of this evaluation for five consecutive rollers 161 for the second case, in which the distance A2 exists between the axes 1612 of two consecutive rollers 161.
[0216] As from Fig. 12 is evident in the first case of Fig. 11 shows a very sharp demarcation of the amplitude of the acceleration a of the third roller 161 on the detection section 144 from the amplitude of the acceleration a of the adjacent rollers 161 that are not located on the detection section 144. In this case, in the respective evaluation angle interval for the third roller 161 on the detection section 144, almost exclusively vibrations originating from this roller 161 itself are measured.
[0217] As from Fig. 13, is in the second case of Fig. 11, a less sharp demarcation of the amplitude of the acceleration a of the third roller 161 on the detection path 144 from the amplitude of the acceleration a of the adjacent rollers 161 can be seen. This results from the fact that the second and / or fourth roller also roll over the detection path 144 at least partially simultaneously with the third roller.
[0218] Thus, the acceleration amplitude of rollers 161 arranged adjacent to a worn roller 161 also increases. The reason for this is that the evaluation angle intervals for calculating an acceleration amplitude overlap. Thus, in the Fig. In the case illustrated in Figure 13, the amplitude of the acceleration a for the second and fourth rollers 161 also increases when the third roller 161 is worn. However, the increase in the effective vibration value is nevertheless highest for the respective roller 161 being evaluated.
[0219] Thus, both for the first case of Fig. 11 as well as for the second case of Fig. 11, the selective evaluation of the running characteristics of the rollers 161 on the guide curve 14 is possible. In other words, the evaluation of the running characteristics of the rollers 161 on the guide curve 14 is also possible with the detection device 15 if the length L of the detection path 144 is smaller than the distance A ( ) or A1 () between the rollers 161, or if L < A or L < A1.
[0220] Thus, the detection device 15 detects and evaluates the vibrations generated by the rolling rolling element 1611 of a single roller 161 in the second guide curve region 142 in the detection direction MR. The measured amplitudes of the acceleration a are assigned to a specific machine angle of the first container handling machine 10 or another rotary machine or rotary transport device, such as the transport device 50 or the transport device 60, by incorporating the output of the rotary encoder 13.
[0221] In this way, the selective evaluation of the running properties of at least one roller 161 of the rollers 161 can be carried out easily and safely in order to determine the wear condition of each individual roller 161 on the guide curve 14.
[0222] It is also possible to apply the previously described principle to an arrangement in which the rollers 161 are not guided in a circular motion over a rolling path 145, but can be moved back and forth over a rolling path 145. Here, too, a detection section 144 can be provided which can detect the running characteristics of an individual roller 161. Here, it may be conceivable to detect only the running characteristics of at least one individual roller 161 of all the rollers 161 running on the rolling path 145 using a detection device 15. From the running characteristics of the at least one individual roller 161, conclusions can then be drawn about the running characteristics of the other rollers 161. Even if this is less optimal with regard to detecting the running characteristics for each individual roller 161, such an arrangement can nevertheless be sufficient if required and in any case offers an improvement over the prior art.
[0223] Fig. Figure 14 shows another illustration of a guide cam. This guide cam is specifically designed for operating a forming device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers.
[0224] The guide curve has a first guide curve part 141 and a second guide curve part 142. These guide curve parts are spaced apart from each other by a gap 143 and connected to each other by connecting devices 141a.
[0225] A plurality of such connecting devices 141a are preferably provided at regular intervals from one another.
[0226] Fig. 15 shows a plan view of the Fig. 14, more precisely to the second guide curve part 142.
[0227] It can be seen that this second guide curve part 142 has a first guide web 142a and a second guide web 142b, between which a gap 142c of preferably uniform width is arranged. Within this web, cam rollers (not shown) can roll, preferably relative to both the first guide web 142a and the second guide web 142b.
[0228] The reference number 15 designates the detection device.
[0229] Fig. Figure 16 shows an enlarged view of the detection device. Sensor 151 is also shown here.
