Description

[0001] The invention relates to a relining hose with a longitudinal axis, comprising an inner hose, an outer hose and a liner made of a curable material arranged between the inner hose and the outer hose.

[0002] Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method for lining a slotted channel having a plurality of through-slots with such a relining tube and to a device for producing such a relining tube.

[0003] Slotted channel drainage systems are often used to drain larger sealed surfaces, such as airport runways and taxiways, highways, and the like. These systems are capable of draining even large volumes of water. When such underground slotted channel drainage systems become leaky due to damage or age-related wear, they require repair. This is typically accomplished by inserting a relining tube containing a liner made of a hardenable material embedded between an inner and outer tube. The relining tube is inserted into the slotted channel, usually inflated by applying internal pressure, particularly compressed air, and pressed against the inner wall of the slotted channel, whereupon the liner hardens. The liner is typically made of a radiation-curing, usually UV-resistant plastic. For curing, it is irradiated with a UV radiation source inserted into the relining tube inside the slotted channel until the liner is completely cured. Then, holes are made in the relining tube extending along the through slots of the slotted channel, thus repairing the damaged slotted channel.

[0004] However, the sealing of the relining hose inserted into the slotted channel in the area of the subsequently introduced perforations at the through slots is problematic. Firstly, the usual relining hoses have the property of bulging inward along their length after the perforations are opened, which can create a gap between the through slot of the slotted channel and the relining hose. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the outer hose, usually made of foil, cannot bond to the slotted channel, which is usually made of concrete. However, the outer hose is necessary because it protects the material of the relining hose against abrasion during insertion into the slotted channel and against water penetration, thus preventing saponification, particularly of the liner. As a result of the gap that is created, particularly in the area of the through slots, the system becomes backward-flowing and water or pollutants can get between the relining hose and the slotted channel and from there seep into the ground in an uncontrolled manner.

[0005] To counter this problem, it was already proposed in DE 10 2001 003 960 A1 to laminate an outer fleece onto the outside of the outer hose, which is provided with an adhesive in order to bond it to the material of the slotted gutter channel in the area of the through-slits. However, this known relining hose has problems in that the cured liner detaches from the outer hose because it is easily peeled off when cured. The outer hose therefore acts like a separating layer between the bonded slotted gutter channel and the outer fleece layer coated with adhesive on the one hand, and the cured liner on the inside. As a result, the cured liner continues to detach from the outer hose due to the bending stress after the slots are opened, again producing an annular gap in the slot area.

[0006] The object of the invention is to propose a relining hose of the type mentioned at the outset, a method for lining a slotted channel with such a relining hose and a device for producing such a relining hose, which overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.

[0007] To achieve the stated object, the invention proposes a relining hose according to the features of patent claim 1.

[0008] A method for lining a slotted channel having a plurality of through slots with such a relining hose is the subject of patent claim 7.

[0009] A device for producing a relining hose is the subject of claim 12.

[0010] Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0011] The invention proposes a relining hose with a longitudinal axis, which, as is conventional, comprises an inner tube, an outer tube, and a liner made of a curable material arranged between the inner tube and the outer tube. According to the invention, the outer tube is interrupted in a strip-shaped area running in the direction of the longitudinal axis, so that the liner is not covered by the outer tube in this area, and a strip-shaped curable coating can be applied directly to the area of the liner not covered by the outer tube, which can be firmly bonded to the liner in this area.In this way, it is possible to bond the strip-shaped area running in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which, when the relining hose according to the invention is installed, faces the through-openings of the slotted channel, via the applied curable coating, on the one hand to the inner surface of the slotted channel and, on the other hand, to establish a strong bond to the exposed curable liner in this area. The previously unavoidable formation of a separating layer by the outer hose in this area and the associated risk of gap formation can thus be effectively prevented.

[0012] According to the invention, the applied coating in this area can be used to bond to the slotted channel on the one hand and to the exposed liner on the other hand.

[0013] According to one proposal of the invention, the coating is based on a self-curing or heat-curing epoxy resin or a silicate resin, in particular a two-component epoxy resin with a pot life adapted to the local installation conditions, for example, approximately 20-50 minutes, which is mixed by blending the resin with a suitable hardener to form a reactive resin coating. Such an epoxy resin also offers the advantage of not shrinking after curing.

[0014] According to a further proposal of the invention, the liner is formed from a plastic material that cures under the influence of UV light, in particular a GRP plastic material.

[0015] According to a further proposal of the invention, the outer tube is formed from a polyolefin nonwoven or polyolefin film laminated with a polymer material. The inner tube can also be made from such a material.

[0016] According to a further proposal of the invention, the region running in the direction of the longitudinal axis, in which the liner is not covered by the outer tube and is intended for the application of the coating, can run continuously over the entire length of the relining tube according to the invention and have a width that is greater than the width of the through openings of the slotted channel.

[0017] The curable coating on the one hand and the curable liner on the other are preferably formed from two resin systems with different curing behavior to maintain their shape and ensure permanent fixation in a slotted channel. For example, the liner can be made of a radiation-resistant material, particularly one that cures under UV light, and the coating can be made of a self-curing or heat-curing material, particularly a suitable epoxy resin, which is applied in liquid form to the relining tube in the area of the exposed liner.

[0018] Alternatively, the curable coating can also be UV-curable, as is the case with curable liners, by making the curable coating from the same material as the liner, for example, using UP resins or chemically resistant VE resins.

[0019] The inventive method for lining a slotted channel having a plurality of through slots is based on the use of a relining tube comprising an inner tube, an outer tube, and a liner made of a curable material arranged therebetween, which extends along a longitudinal axis and is inserted into the slotted channel. According to the invention, the method is characterized by the following sequence of steps: a) removing the outer tube in a strip-shaped area running in the direction of the longitudinal axis, exposing the liner in that area; b) directly applying a strip-shaped curable coating to the exposed liner in the area; c) Inserting the relining hose into the slotted channel, whereby the area with the applied coating is positioned below the through slots; d) Applying internal pressure to the relining hose and expanding it until it rests against an inner wall of the slotted channel; e) curing the coating and liner while maintaining the internal pressure; f) Making openings in the cured relining tube that communicate with the through-slots.

[0020] According to the invention, use is made of a structure known per se of a relining hose known for sewer rehabilitation, which has an inner hose, an outer hose and a liner arranged between the inner hose and the outer hose and which is preferably radiation-curing.

[0021] To line a slotted channel requiring renovation, the outer tube is ideally removed in a strip-shaped area running along the longitudinal axis immediately before inserting the relining tube, as described below, so that the liner is exposed in this area and accessible from the outside. A suitable strip-shaped curable coating, particularly a two-component, liquid epoxy resin, is then applied to this exposed liner, so that the coating lies directly on the exposed liner.

[0022] During the remaining pot life of the applied coating, which usually lasts several minutes, the relining tube produced in this way is first folded if necessary and inserted into the slotted channel in the required length, with the area with the applied coating positioned below the through slots. The relining tube is then subjected to internal pressure in a conventional manner so that it expands until it rests against the inner wall of the slotted channel. The coating is pressed firmly against the inner peripheral area of the slotted channel, in which the through slots are arranged, so that the initially still liquid coating can penetrate the surface of the slotted channel, which is usually made of concrete, and create a strong bond in this area, while at the same time forming a strong bond with the exposed liner.

[0023] In this state and while maintaining the internal pressure, in an alternative to the method according to the invention, the relining tube can be held for several hours, for example, 2 to 3 hours, until the coating has cured due to the effect of ambient heat. After this predeterminable holding time, the liner can then be cured, for example, by activating a UV radiation source positioned inside the relining tube. This UV light emits UV light, which penetrates the inner tube and hits the liner, initiating its curing reaction. The liner becomes dimensionally stable within a very short time, but continues to press the coating firmly against the inner surface of the slotted channel.

[0024] Subsequently, openings communicating with the through-slots can be made in the cured relining tube, extending into the interior of the relining tube to seal the functional lining of the slotted channel with the relining tube. In the area of the openings, the relining tube is then bonded directly to the inner surface of the slotted channel by the cured coating, preventing any gaps through which fluid could flow uncontrollably. A slotted channel lining produced using the method according to the invention therefore achieves the highest permanent sealing values.

[0025] According to a proposal of the invention, the outer tube is cut open in the intended area in step a) and removed.

[0026] According to a further proposal of the invention, the coating is formed from a heat-curing epoxy or silicate resin which is applied in liquid form to the exposed liner in the area.

[0027] According to a further proposal of the invention, after the relining tube is subjected to internal pressure and placed against the inner wall in step d) to carry out step e), after a predetermined holding time, the relining tube is irradiated with UV light through the inner tube. The holding time can be between 2 and approximately 3 hours, provided the coating is to be cured first and then the liner is to be cured by irradiation with UV light. This can be selected by the person skilled in the art depending on the circumstances and the coating material used.

[0028] However, it can also be planned to start irradiation with UV light immediately after the inserted relining tube has been expanded by applying internal pressure, whereby the coating is also cured by the heat emitted by the UV light source.

[0029] The device for producing a relining hose and / or for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that a relining hose blank, which comprises an inner hose, an outer hose, and a liner made of a curable material arranged between the inner hose and the outer hose and extends along a longitudinal axis, is provided and conditioned into a relining hose in the device according to the invention. For this purpose, the device has a feed device for feeding the relining hose blank in the direction of the longitudinal axis, a cutting device downstream of the feed device for cutting into the outer hose along a region extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and furthermore an associated winding device for winding up the strip of the outer hose cut in the region, exposing the liner in the region.A subsequent application station is then arranged for applying a strip-shaped curable coating to the exposed liner in the area.

[0030] According to the invention, a doctor blade station can be provided downstream of the application station for leveling the coating, which is preferably applied in liquid form.

[0031] In addition, the device can also have a folding station for folding the relining hose provided with the coating so that it can be inserted into the slotted channel in a folded state and then unfolded by applying internal pressure and pressed against the inner wall.

[0032] The method and device according to the invention are particularly suitable for inline processing of the relining hose at the site of the planned slot channel renovation. The hose blank is preferably fed at a speed that corresponds to the insertion speed of the finished relining hose into the slot channel and is also controllable. The device is positioned directly at the slot channel's starting shaft, and the produced relining hose is pulled directly from the device into the slot channel.

[0033] Further embodiments and details of the invention are explained below with reference to the drawings illustrating an exemplary embodiment. They show: Fig. 1 in perspective view a slotted channel to be renovated; Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of a relining hose according to the invention; Fig. 3 in a simplified schematic representation of a device for producing the relining hose according to Fig. 2.

[0034] From the Fig. 1 shows a slotted channel 2 in the form of a pipe section which has a lumen defined by an inner surface 21, through which liquid can be drained, said liquid entering the wall of the slotted channel 2 via a plurality of openings 20 made in the upper region of the slotted channel 2.

[0035] In order to be able to rehabilitate a slotted channel 2 with this or other cross-sectional shapes in the event of damage, so that no liquid leaks out, a relining hose is used as shown in Fig. 2 is used, which is inserted into the slotted channel 2 in the manner described below.

[0036] The relining hose 1 extends along a longitudinal axis L and has, from the inside to the outside, an inner hose 10 formed, for example, from a polyethylene film, an adjoining liner 11 made of a curable material and, on the outside, an enveloping outer hose 12 formed, for example, from a polyolefin fleece coated with polymer material.

[0037] The curable liner 11 is located between the inner tube 10 and the outer tube 12 as a middle layer and is made of a plastic material that cures under the influence of UV light, for example a corresponding GRP material.

[0038] In a representation according to Fig. 3, such a flat folded relining hose blank 1a is fed in the direction of the longitudinal axis L of the device 3 shown, which for this purpose has a conveying device in the form of a circulating conveyor belt 36 and a feeding device 30 in the form of a driven conveyor roller arranged above the conveyor belt 36.

[0039] The thus-fed relining hose blank 1a, after passing through the feed device 30, reaches the cutting devices 31 arranged downstream of the feed device 30. These cutting devices, together with a fixing roller 310, continuously cut the upper outer hose 12 on both sides of the center line along the longitudinal extent L, so that a strip 12a of the outer hose 12 is severed and guided onto a winding device 32 and wound up. Accordingly, in the region of the cut outer hose 12, a strip-shaped region 120 is formed, which extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis L and in which the liner 11 located below the outer hose 12 is no longer covered by the outer hose 12, but is exposed. In this area, a curing coating 13 made of an epoxy resin in liquid form is then applied to the exposed liner 11 via a dosing station 33. In the dosing station 33, the epoxy resin is mixed with the required hardener to form a heat-curing reactive mixture and is immediately applied. The applied strip of coating 13 is then leveled with a doctor blade of a doctor station 34 and spread over the entire width of the strip-shaped area 120. Thus, a relining hose 1 as shown in FIG. 1 exits the device 3. Fig. 2, in which the outer tube 12 is interrupted in a strip-shaped area 120 running in the direction of the longitudinal axis L, wherein in this area 120 the liner 11 not covered by the outer tube 12 is directly provided with the applied strip-shaped curable coating 13, which according to the enlarged illustration in the Fig. 2 directly contacts the liner 11. The width of the coating 13 is significantly larger than the width of the through slots 20.

[0040] Subsequently, in a manner known per se, the relining hose 1 is introduced into the interior of the slotted channel 2 to be renovated, wherein the strip-shaped region 120 with the applied coating 13 is oriented such that the coating 13 faces the through slots 20 of the slotted channel 2, ie runs directly below the through slots 20.

[0041] Now, in a manner known per se, the relining hose 1 is subjected to internal pressure so that it fully adheres to the inner surface 21 of the slotted channel 2. The coating 13 is pressed against the surrounding area of the through-slots 20 of the slotted channel 2, penetrating the material of the slotted channel 2, usually concrete, and bonding it to the slotted channel 2 all the way around the through-slots 20. On the other hand, the coating 13 also bonds to the exposed liner 11 inside the relining hose 1.

[0042] This bonding of the coating 13 is usually caused by the action of heat, so that the state of application of an internal pressure is maintained for a predeterminable holding time of, for example, several hours, preferably approximately 2 hours.

[0043] Subsequently or simultaneously, a UV light source can be activated inside the inserted relining tube 1, which irradiates the radiation-curing liner 11 through the inner tube 10 with UV light so that it cures within a short time.

[0044] Finally, the relining hose 1 can be provided with corresponding openings through the through-slots 20 in the lined slotted channel 2, so that the water to be collected can pass through the through-slots 20 and the openings into the interior of the relining hose 1 lining the slotted channel 2 and be drained from there. Due to the direct bonding effected by the coating 13, on the one hand, with the inner surface 21 of the slotted channel 2 and, on the other hand, with the cured layer of the liner 11, undesirable gap formation is counteracted, preventing any liquid from seeping through.
