Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a closure element of a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft, to a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft, to a passenger cabin of an aircraft, to an aircraft and to a method for storing hand luggage in a luggage storage container of a passenger cabin of an aircraft.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONFor storing luggage from passengers of an aircraft, larger items such as luggage are discharged from the passengers before the aircraft is boarding. Smaller items such as jackets or hand bags, also referred to as hand luggage, are stored by the passengers on board the aircraft. For this purpose, so-called overhead storage compartments are provided, for example. If the passengers carry an average amount of luggage on board and the overhead storage compartments are full, items not stored are accommodated by the flight attendant team in additional storage areas that are not accessible to the passengers. However, it has been shown that it occurs repeatedly that the space is not sufficient.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIt is therefore an object of the present invention to provide additional storage space. This object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent claims. Further examples are given in the dependent claims. The aspects described below also apply to the closure element of a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft, to the luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft, to the passenger cabin of an aircraft, to the aircraft and to the method for storing hand luggage in a luggage storage container of a passenger cabin of an aircraft.According to the invention, a closure element of a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft is provided. The closure element has a frame structure and a planar rigid cladding structure held on the frame structure. The frame structure is configured to i) hold the closure element on a housing structure of a luggage storage container movably between an open state and a closed state, and ii) to fix the closure element in the closed state to the housing structure in a releasable manner. At least a portion of the trim structure is movably supported on the frame structure. The at least one sub-region bears against the frame structure in a locked position in a retracted position and, in an unlocked position, protrudes at least partially from the frame structure in an extended position in order, in the extended position, to temporarily increase a volume of the luggage storage container which can be used for stowage in the closed state of the closure element. The transformable luggage compartment flap is distinguished in that a mobile flexibility is provided which has a low weight and is very economical with regard to the additional benefit achieved on the part of production and installation costs. The transformable luggage compartment flap enables a faster boarding, since during loading of luggage compartments, bottleneck during stowage can be reacted by enlarging the stowage compartments by means of the transformable luggage compartment flap. This means cost savings due to faster dispatch times and also less stress for the passengers due to the individual loading of the luggage compartments. Pieces of luggage that had previously to be stored in the cargo hold can now be taken at least partially into the cabin. The transformable luggage compartment flap fits over existing built-in luggage compartments and can also be replaced subsequently. When not in use, the additional luggage flap remains closed and the spatial impression in the cabin remains unchanged. However, even in the folded-open state, the spatial impression and the passageway are not restricted in height. The transformable luggage compartment door means an increase in luggage volume by "opening" an additional storage compartment for receiving larger luggage items in the compartment. This allows airline companies to respond quickly to changed market requirements, for example. For short distances with little baggage, the airline has the possibility of not activating the flaps.According to one example, the frame structure is pivotably fastenable on a first longitudinal side to the housing structure of the luggage storage container. The movable sub-region is held on the first longitudinal side of the frame structure such that it can be pivoted about a pivot axis.According to one example, the movable portion is releasably held on the frame structure by a locking arrangement.According to one example, the locking arrangement of the movable sub-region can be unlocked when a compressive force is applied in the direction of the extended position when a defined limit value is exceeded, in order to enable the at least one sub-region to be extended into the extended position.According to one example, the movable partial region is held prestressed in the direction of the retracted position by a spring element.According to one example, the partial area can be used as a display area for reflecting information. As an option, it is provided that the sub-region has at least one lighting device for cabin lighting.According to the invention, a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft is also provided. The luggage storage container has a housing structure and a closure member. The housing structure forms a storage volume with an access opening and is configured for attachment to a supporting structure. The closure element is held movably on the housing structure and is provided for the openable closure of the access opening. The closure element is designed as a closure element according to one of the preceding examples.According to the invention, a passenger cabin of an aircraft is also provided. The passenger cabin has a cabin area for the arrangement of passenger seats, a multiplicity of cabin panels for fastening to an inner side of a fuselage structure of the aircraft, and a multiplicity of luggage trays which can be fastened to the fuselage structure above the passenger seats in the upper area of the cabin panels. At least a part of the luggage trays is configured as a luggage storage container according to the preceding example.According to the invention, an aircraft is also provided. The aircraft has an aircraft fuselage, a wing arrangement connected to the aircraft fuselage and a passenger cabin according to the preceding example arranged in the aircraft fuselage. The aircraft fuselage has a fuselage structure, on the outer side of which an outer skin of the aircraft is arranged. The luggage storage containers are held on the fuselage structure and are accessible from the passenger cabin.According to the invention, a method for storing hand luggage in a luggage storage container of a passenger cabin of an aircraft is also provided. The method comprises the following steps:introducing the hand luggage into a stowage volume formed by a housing structure of the luggage storage container via an access opening of the stowage volume; a closure element of the luggage storage container is provided and the closure element has a frame structure and a planar rigid cladding structure held on the frame structure; the frame structure holds the closure element on the housing structure of the luggage storage container movably between an opening state and a closing state; at least one partial region of the cladding structure is held movably on the frame structure;moving the at least one sub-region from a retracted position into an extended position, in which the sub-region protrudes at least partially from the frame structure, in order to temporarily increase a volume of the luggage storage container usable for stowage in the extended position in the closed state of the closure element; andclosing the access opening with the closing element.According to one aspect, an "trunk lid" that can be enlarged if necessary is provided, which can be replaced by already installed lids. The fold-out part is secured with locks or other securable locking means, so that it can be integrated positively into the luggage flap when not in use. In the unfolded state, it is closed all around and secures the item of luggage. In one option, the upper part of the flap presses the plate additionally against the luggage item via a spring-loaded hinge and secures it.According to one aspect, an optionally enlargeable trunk lid is provided, which can be replaced by already installed lids. The fold-out part is secured with locks or other securable locking means, so that it can be integrated positively into the luggage flap when not in use. In the unfolded state, it is closed all around and secures the item of luggage. In one option, the upper part of the flap presses the plate additionally against the luggage item via a spring-loaded hinge and secures it.The transformable luggage compartment flap is distinguished in that a mobile flexibility is provided which has a low weight and is very economical with regard to the additional benefit achieved on the part of production and installation costs. For short distances with little baggage, the airline has the possibility of not activating the flaps. It should be noted that the features of the exemplary embodiments of the closure element of a luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft also apply to embodiments of the luggage storage container for a passenger cabin of an aircraft, the passenger cabin of an aircraft, the aircraft and the method for storing hand luggage in a luggage storage container of a passenger cabin of an aircraft and vice versa. In addition, those features in which this is not explicitly mentioned can also be freely combined with one another.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGSExemplary embodiments of the invention are discussed in more detail below with reference to the appended drawings. The movable partial region is formed, for example, as a flap in the flap. The enlarging allows, for example, a secure stowage of bulky objects if these cannot be accommodated in the normal storage compartment. The enlargement can also be adjusted seasonal or to the climate of the locations being flown on, in order to provide more space for winter jackets, for example, which usually take up more volume than jackets in milder seasons. The closure element 10 forms together with the movable sub-region a transformable luggage compartment flap. The closure element 10 is designed as a movable closure element. The closure element 10 can also be referred to as a closure flap or flap. The at least one partial region of the cladding structure 10 is a movable partial region. The movable sub-region provides an increase in the volume of the luggage compartment that can be activated if necessary. The volume increase can be activated temporarily or also permanently. The expandable closure element 10 of a luggage storage container is a concept for being able to react flexibly, for example, to larger hand luggage items which would otherwise have to be loaded in the cargo hold. The movable portion is an additional flap which can be unlocked if necessary. In the open or extended state, the partial region is surrounded, for example, all around with a flame-retardant textile material. When coloring the movable sub-region and also the frame structure, the airline companies can choose between insensitive textiles or leather, for example. In one example, it is provided that the at least one sub-region extends over the entire frame structure 12.In one example, the at least one movable portion extends in height over a substantial portion of the closure member 10. For example, the at least one movable portion extends in width over the entire region formed between frame members of the frame structure 12 provided at the edges of the closure member 10.In one example, the at least one movable portion extends over half the width or length of the closure element 10.In another example, two movable partial regions are provided, which extend, for example, over half the width or length of the closure element 10.In one example, it is provided that the frame structure 12 can be pivotably fastened on a first longitudinal side, for example an upper longitudinal side 16, to the housing structure of the luggage storage container. The movable sub-region is held on the first longitudinal side of the frame structure 12 such that it can be pivoted about a pivot axis 18.In one example, the movable partial region is pivotably held on the same side on which the closure element 10 is also pivotably held on the housing structure. In another example, the movable portion is pivotally supported on the side opposite to the side where the closure member 10 is pivotally supported on the housing structure. In one example, the closure element 10 is pivotably held on the upper edge on the housing structure in the installed state. The closure element 54 is movably held on the housing structure 52 and is provided for the openable closure of the access opening 58. The closure element 54 is formed as an example of the closure element 10 according to one of the preceding and following examples. The term "housing structure" refers to the wall, or floor and ceiling segments, of walls of a container in the cabin structure, for example overhead storage compartments. The term "stowage volume" refers to that volume within the housing structure for stowage items such as jackets, jackets, bags, bags and the like. The term "access opening" refers to the opening of the stowage volume available to the passenger.FIG. 1 shows a lamp segment 60 adjoining above it, for example with integrated indirect illumination.FIG. 2 shows the closure element from FIG. 1 in the extended position AP.In one example, it is provided that the at least one movable sub-region of the cladding structure 14 is pivotably held on one side on the frame structure 12. On the other sides of the at least one partial region, lateral closure segments 24 are provided during the pivoting open in order to close the gap regions which arise in the extended position with respect to the frame or fixed partial regions of the cladding structure. The closure segments 24 can also be referred to as termination segments. In one example, the lateral closure segments 24 are designed as a net or fabric that stretches during deployment. In another example, the side closure segments 24 are rigid trim segments that pivot into the gap areas. In one example, a circumferential, tear-resistant cladding protects the hand luggage from falling out.In one example, it is provided that the lateral closure segments 24 are designed as flexible cladding segments. For example, the flexible cladding segments are designed as bellows segments. The bellows are, for example, folded inwardly invisibly when not in use.In one option, it is provided that lateral articulated connections under the textile lining provide the bellows with the necessary strength. The closure element 10 can be provided, for example, in the case of initial equipment in the case of a pair or in the case of all of the luggage storage containers. The closure element 10 can also be provided, for example, when replacing a cabin structure in some or all luggage storage containers. The closure element 10 can be used, for example, for a subsequent conversion of existing luggage storage containers, e.g. referred to as a retrofitting. In FIG. 1, a grip recess 26 for actuating the closure element 10 is shown. In FIG. 2, an open state of the closure element 10 is shown on the left in the case of a rear closure element.FIG. 3 shows a cross section through the luggage storage container 50 from FIGS. 1 and 2 In the housing structure 52, a storage volume is defined for the most part by a rigid inner wall 62. A normal storage volume (the movable subregion in lies against the frame structure in the locking position VS in the retracted position EP) is indicated by a first contour 64. An extended storage volume (the movable sub-region protrudes at least partially from the frame structure in the unlocking position ES in the extended position AP) is indicated by a second contour 66.In FIG. 3, a pivot axis 68 of the closure element 10 is indicated, together with a spring mechanism for compensating the weight force. In FIG. 4, the movable part of the closure element 10 is extended. In order to be locked in the latter, scissors-shaped deployment elements 28 with so-called toggle levers 30 are provided, in which a lever of the toggle lever divided into two by means of a pivot point 32 is provided between two supports or holding points 34, 36 (see also FIG. 5 ). In the extended position, the toggle lever 30 is stretched and forms a latching in the extended position. In FIG. 5, the toggle lever 30 is shown in the folded state in the left-hand part, in an almost extended position in the right-hand part. The locking arrangement 20 has, for example, two lateral locks 38, in which a movable locking element 40 has a projection 42 for insertion into a receptacle 44 on the movable part 14.FIG. 7 shows a further embodiment of an example of the closure element 12 in a two-part version. For example, the movable part 14 is divided along a dividing line 46 into a first movable sub-region 14 aand a second movable sub-region 14 b. The two partial regions 14a can be actuated independently of one another, for example, due to the subdivision. The subdivision can also be bridged again, so that the two subareas can only be moved together. In one example, it is provided that the locking arrangement 20 is secured against actuation by passengers. In a first option, the locking arrangement 20 is operable with an actuation adapter. In a second option, the locking arrangement 20 is operable through an operating interface. In one option, the subregion alternatively or additionally has at least one lighting device for cabin lighting. For example, the movable partial region can be provided as a display. In one example, the sub-area serves as a carrier for information. In another example, the sub-region serves as a support for graphic design elements. For example, the movable partial region can be designed as a luminous surface. For example, the movable partial region can be designed as an OLED display. The movable sub-region can have a module insert for the luggage flap or can be designed as a module insert of the luggage flap. The movable portion may have a type of film display, for example. The film display can be, for example, an actuatable OLED display, or a luminous surface or a passive, graphically configured film segment. For example, the module insert can represent information or advertising, for example for flight and connection flights, for hotels or travel information, or else be used only for (graphic) configuration of the cabin area. The module insert can be used, for example, as a honeycomb panel and additionally protected by a protective film. For example, a luggage compartment flap without a display, a luggage compartment flap with a partial screen only for text or a luggage compartment flap with a full-area film screen for advertising are provided as options. The supply with energy and data information takes place via sliding contacts in the pivot points and is supported via the supply channel. The modules can also be retrofitted if necessary.FIG. 8 shows the closure element with an integrated display as an option. For example, the display occupies the entire area of the movable portion of the trim structure. In one option, only one partial area is designed as a display, for example only one strip. For example, only a segment of the sub-region may be used for display purposes, for example an upper or lower strip.FIG. 9 shows a cross section through the luggage storage container from FIG. 8, and for supplying the display and controlling it, an input interface 49 can be provided at a rear end, as viewed from the user, which is connected to the display via an integrated wiring 47.FIG. 10 shows an example of a passenger cabin 100 of an aircraft in a perspective view. The number of passenger seats and the number of one intermediate duct are merely exemplary; in variants, for example, two ducts are provided with correspondingly more passenger seats. In another example, the luggage storage containers 50 are provided with the extensible movable portions of the closure member in a central region above a central seating region.FIG. 12 shows an example of a method 200 for storing hand luggage in a luggage storage container of a passenger cabin of an aircraft in exemplary steps. The method 200 comprises the following steps:In a first step 202, the hand luggage is introduced into a stowage volume formed by a housing structure of the luggage storage container via an access opening of the stowage volume. A closure element of the luggage storage container is provided and the closure element has a frame structure and a planar rigid cladding structure held on the frame structure. The frame structure movably supports the closure member on the housing structure of the luggage storage container between an opening state and a closing state, wherein at least a portion of the trim structure is movably supported on the frame structure. In a second step 204, the at least one subregion is moved from a retracted position into an extended position in which the subregion protrudes at least partially from the frame structure in order, in the extended position, to temporarily increase a volume of the luggage storage container usable for stowage in the closed state of the closure element. In a third step 206, the access opening is closed with the closure element. The above-described exemplary embodiments can be combined in different ways. In particular, aspects of the devices may also be used for the embodiments of the method and vice versa.Additionally, it should be noted that "comprising" does not exclude other elements or steps and "a" or "an" does not exclude a plurality. It should also be noted that features or steps that have been described with reference to one of the above exemplary embodiments can also be used in combination with other features or steps of other exemplary embodiments described above. Reference signs in the claims should not be regarded as limiting.
