Abstract
Description
[0001] After the end of its use, a plastic dowel often represents a visual impairment of the surface.
[0002] Various techniques are then used to try to remove the dowel and visually adapt the drill hole to the surrounding surface.
[0003] However, removal can be difficult and often damages the area around the borehole. After all, one of the main functions of a dowel is to provide secure anchoring.
[0004] The invention addresses the problem of simplifying the optical removal of drill holes using plastic dowels.
[0005] Technically, in most cases it is not necessary to remove the entire dowel.
[0006] To achieve an optical alignment of the borehole, it is sufficient to remove the rear part of the dowel shaft, which usually has no anchoring function.
[0007] The hole can then be filled with the remaining dowel and plastered over, or adapted to the substrate in another suitable way.
[0008] The problem is therefore solved by cutting off and pulling out the rear part of the dowel shaft.
[0009] The advantages achieved with the invention are that removing the dowel end with this tool is very easy.
[0010] The cutting and pulling out is carried out using the tool described in claim 1.
[0011] It consists of a shaft ① as a clamping mandrel with an integrally formed cutting edge ③ a centering ring ② sitting above it and a Stop disc ④ with non-slip surface ⑤.
[0012] The stop disc is slid over the tool shank with its non-slip surface facing the cutting edge, and then the tool is clamped into a cordless screwdriver (drill). The stop disc must be able to rotate freely.
[0013] The tool is then inserted into the plastic dowel as far as possible, and the cordless screwdriver is preferably operated first at low speed (screwing in) and then at high speed (cutting) for a few seconds.
[0014] The tool screws into the dowel shaft, is aligned by the centering ring, and cuts off the rear end of the dowel shaft.
[0015] The stop disc with its non-slip surface has the task of... 1. To protect sensitive surfaces from damage caused by the rotating drill chuck, 2. to prevent the drill chuck from being pulled into the dowel shaft.
[0016] When the cordless screwdriver is removed, the severed part of the dowel shaft is pulled out along with the tool. The rest of the dowel remains in the drill hole.
Claims
