Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a stripping device for stripping the sheath of a conductor wire. background
[0002] A sheath stripping device is known that removes the sheath from the end of a covered wire to connect a terminal to the end (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003] Fig. Fig. 8 is an explanatory diagram for explaining a stripping method using a conventional stripping device. Fig. The stripping device shown in Figure 8 removes, for example, a sheath 11 and a metal foil 12 of the Fig. 7. The covered conductor wire 10 is a conductor wire with a circular cross section and has a structure in which a conductive core wire 15 is surrounded by an insulator 14, a braid 13, a metal foil 12 and an insulating sheath 11.
[0004] The Fig. The sheath stripping device shown in Fig. 8 comprises two knives 16, each having a V-shaped blade portion 16a, and a moving device for moving these knives 16. The two knives 16 move toward each other and pierce the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 of the covered conductor wire 10, and rotate in the direction of the arrow to make circumferential cuts in the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12. Then, the two knives 16 move in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 toward the end to remove the portion of the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 that is closer to the end than the notch.
[0005] It should be noted that the black sections 18 in Fig. 8 denote the contact portions in which the blades 16 come into contact with the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 when the blades 16 move to the longitudinal end of the covered conductor wire 10 and remove the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12. [0006] Patent Document 1: JP2015035278 (A) Overview of the inventionProblem to be solved by the invention
[0007] According to the prior art described above, the only sections in which the blades 16 come into contact with the coated conductor wire 10 when stripping the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 are the sections in Fig. 8 shown contact sections 18. For this reason, only a section of the sheath 11 deforms (turns around or similar) during stripping, as in Fig. 9, when the sheath 11 is made of a soft material such as silicone, the stripping force is not transmitted thereto, resulting in the problem that stripping cannot be performed properly. If the stripping portion of the sheath 11 is long, the areas of the contact portions 18 are similarly small, causing the sheath 11 to deform, making it difficult to perform stripping properly. Note that reference numeral 17 in Fig. 9 indicates a notch.
[0008] Accordingly, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide a stripping apparatus that can effectively remove sheaths even when the sheath is made of a soft material or when the stripping portion of the sheath is long. Solution to the problem
[0009] One aspect of the present disclosure is a stripping device comprising a plurality of contact portions configured to be in surface contact with an outer peripheral surface of a covered conductor wire having a circular cross-section, wherein the covered conductor wire is formed with a notch in a circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface, and the contact portions are configured to sandwich the covered conductor wire, and a moving device configured to move the plurality of contact portions sandwiching the covered conductor wire and the covered conductor wire relative to each other in a longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire, wherein the plurality of contact portions come into surface contact with an end face of the covered conductor wire that is closer to an end of the covered conductor wire than the notch, and is moved relative to the end face in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire, so that a sheath of the covered conductor wire is stripped off. Advantageous effects of the invention
[0010] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, the plurality of contact portions come into surface contact with an end face of the covered conductor wire that is closer to an end of the covered conductor wire than the notch, and are moved relative to the end face in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire, so that a covering of the covered conductor wire is stripped. Therefore, the covering can be effectively removed even when the covering is made of a soft material or when the section of the covering to be removed is long. [0011] The “stripping device” according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 explained.
[0012] The Fig. 1 and Fig. The stripping device 1 shown in Figure 2, for example, strips the sheath 11 of the Fig. 7. The covered conductor wire 10 is a conductor wire with a circular cross-section and has a structure in which a conductive core wire 15 is surrounded by an insulator 14, a braid 13, a metal foil 12, and an insulating sheath 11 in this order. The material of the sheath 11 may be polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, silicone, or the like, but the sheath stripping device 1 is configured to effectively remove the sheath 11 even when the sheath 11 is made of a soft material such as silicone or when the stripping portion of the sheath 11 is long.
[0013] The sheath stripping device 1 is used to strip the sheath 11 located closer to the end than a notch 17 of the covered conductor wire 10 formed with the notch 17 in the circumferential direction on its outer peripheral surface. The notch 17 extends over the entire circumference of the covered conductor wire 10. The processing method for forming the notches 17 may be a method using the two conventional cutters 16 described above, or another method may be used.
[0014] The sheath stripping device 1 comprises a holding unit (not shown) configured to hold the covered conductor wire 10, four contact portions 2 that are in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the covered conductor wire 10 and clamp the covered conductor wire 10 therebetween, a moving device 3 configured to move the respective contact portions 2, and a control unit (not shown).
[0015] The holding unit holds the portion of the covered conductor wire 10 that is closer to the center than the notch 17 (i.e., the portion where the covering 11 is not to be stripped). A known chuck or the like can be used as the holding unit.
[0016] All four contact portions 2 have the same configuration. Each contact portion 2 includes a cylindrical body portion 21 and a rubber portion 22 arranged around the entire outer peripheral surface of the body portion 21. That is, each contact portion 2 has a contact surface for contacting the rubber-covered conductor wire 10. These contact portions 2 are moved toward the end face in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 while in surface contact with an end face of the covered conductor wire 10 that is closer to the end than the notch 17 of the covered conductor wire 10, thereby stripping the covering 11 of the covered conductor wire 10.
[0017] By increasing the contact area with the sheath 11, the contact portion 2 can prevent deformation of the sheath 11 and strip the sheath 11. Furthermore, since the contact portion 2 has a rubber contact surface for contact with the covered conductor wire 10, the frictional force of the contact surface can be increased to prevent slippage, so that the sheath 11 can be stripped more reliably. Although the contact portion 2 consists of the body portion 21 and the rubber portion 22 in this example, the entire contact portion 2 may be made of rubber.
[0018] The moving device 3 moves the contact portion 2 in the radial direction of the covered conductor wire 10 and in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10. The moving device 3 includes a first air cylinder that moves the contact portion 2 in the radial direction of the covered conductor wire 10, and a second air cylinder that, together with the first air cylinder, moves the contact portion 2 in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10. Furthermore, the moving device may be configured as a robot arm, an electric actuator, or the like.
[0019] The above-mentioned control unit controls the holding unit and the moving device 3. The control unit stores a plurality of drive programs in which the product number of the covered wire 10 and the movement amount of the moving device 3 (the amount of air to be supplied to the first air cylinder and the second air cylinder) are assigned. Therefore, by setting a drive program for the control unit, the stripping device 1 can perform the stripping of a plurality of types of covered wire with different product numbers. For example, to strip the covering of a covered wire with a smaller diameter than in Fig. 1, the distance that each contact section 2 moves in the radial direction of the wire (the distance that the contact section 2 moves until the contact section 2 comes into surface contact with the covered conductor wire) becomes longer. The reason why several types of coated conductor wires with different diameters can be clamped is that the stripping device 1 is equipped with four cylindrical contact sections 2. If the stripping length is longer than in Fig. 2, the distance that each contact section 2 moves in the longitudinal direction of the wire is also greater.
[0020] The following explains an example of a stripping method using the above-mentioned stripping device. The sheath 11 of the covered conductor wire 10 is made of soft silicone in this example. In this example, the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 are removed simultaneously. Therefore, the notch 17 formed in the covered conductor wire 10 extends from the surface of the sheath 11 to the layer of the metal foil 12.
[0021] When a work start signal is input to the control unit, the holding unit holding the covered wire 10 containing the notch 17 moves, and the covered wire 10 is placed between the four contact portions 2 spaced apart from each other. Next, the first air cylinder of the moving device 3 is driven so that the four contact portions 2 approach each other, and these contact portions 2 come into surface contact with an end face of the covered wire 10 that is closer to the end than the notch 17. That is, the covered wire 10 is clamped between the four contact portions 2 (which is in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2). Then, when the second air cylinder of the moving device 3 is driven, the four contact portions 2 enclosing the covered conductor wire 10 move in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 toward the end face, thereby stripping the end faces of the covering 11 and the metal foil 12 that are closer to the end than the notch 17.
[0022] As described above, in the sheath stripping device 1, a plurality of contact portions 2 having lengths in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 move to the end face in the longitudinal direction of the conductor wire to strip the sheath 11 while the contact portions 2 are in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the covered conductor wire 10. Therefore, the contact area of the contact portion 2 with the covered conductor wire 10 is smaller than in the conventional technique (for example, the method shown in Fig. 8) is larger, generating a larger frictional force between the contact portion 2 and the sheath 11, so that deformation of the sheath 11 can be prevented. In addition, since the contact area is increased, pressure is dispersed, and a large force is not applied to a portion of the sheath 11, so that the sheath 11 is less likely to deform. Therefore, even if the material of the sheath 11 is a soft material, the sheath 11 can be effectively removed. Even if the portion of the sheath 11 to be removed is long, the same effect as described above can be achieved, and the sheath can be successfully removed.
[0023] The “stripping device” according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 3 to 5, where Fig. 3 to 5, the same components as in the first embodiment described above are designated by the same reference numerals and explanations are omitted.
[0024] The Fig. The stripping device 101 shown in Figures 3 to 5 is used to strip the sheath 11 of the Fig. 7, for example, as in the first embodiment. The stripping device 101 includes a holding unit (not shown) configured to hold the covered wire 10, two contact portions 102 that are in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the covered wire 10 and clamp the covered wire 10 therebetween, a moving device 3 configured to move the respective contact portions 102, and a control unit (not shown). The holding unit and the moving device 3 have the same configuration as in the first embodiment.
[0025] Each contact section 102 includes numerous metal plates 122 arranged at intervals along the length of the covered conductor wire 10, and a base 121 to which the numerous plates 122 are attached. The numerous plates 122 protrude from the base 121 toward the covered conductor wire 10. As shown in Fig. 5, each plate 122 is provided with a V-shaped groove 122a in which the covered conductor wire 10 is arranged.
[0026] As in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the two contact portions 102 move toward each other to position the covered conductor wire 10 in the groove 122a of each plate 122, and come into surface contact with the end face of the covered conductor wire 10 that is closer to the end than the notch 17. That is, the inner surface of the groove 122a is in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the covered conductor wire 10. In this way, the plate 122 of one contact portion 102 and the plate 122 of the other contact portion 102 are alternately arranged in the longitudinal direction of the conductor wire, with the covered conductor wire 10 sandwiched between the two contact portions 102. Furthermore, a space is provided between the alternately arranged plates 122 in the longitudinal direction of the conductor wire. These two contact portions 102 are moved in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 toward the end face, being in surface contact with the end face of the covered conductor wire 10 which is closer to the end than the notch 17, so that the covering 11 of the covered conductor wire 10 is stripped off.
[0027] The contact sections 102 have a plurality of plates 122 forming protrusions, with the covered conductor wire 10 clamped between the protrusions. The contact sections 102 can strip the covering 11 to prevent deformation of the covering 11 by using a plurality of plates 122. Since each plate 122 is thin, its tip presses into the covering 11 to prevent slipping. Therefore, the covering 11 can be removed more reliably.
[0028] The following explains an example of a stripping method using the above-mentioned stripping device 101. The sheath 11 of the covered conductor wire 10 is made of soft silicone in this example. In this example, the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 are removed simultaneously. Therefore, the notch 17, which is preliminarily formed in the covered conductor wire 10, extends from the surface of the sheath 11 to the layer of the metal foil 12.
[0029] When a work start signal is input to the control unit, the holding unit holding the covered lead wire 10 including the notch 17 moves, and the covered lead wire 10 is placed between the two contact portions 102 spaced apart from each other (the one shown in Fig. 3). Next, the first air cylinder of the moving device 3 is driven so that the pair of contact portions 102 approach each other and these contact portions 102 come into surface contact with an end face of the covered wire 10 that is closer to the end than the notch 17. That is, the covered wire 10 is clamped between the two contact portions 102 (the Fig. 4 and Fig. 5). Subsequently, when the second air cylinder of the moving device 3 is driven, the two contact portions 102 that clamp the covered conductor wire 10 move in the longitudinal direction of the covered conductor wire 10 toward the end face, as a result of which the end portions of the cover 11 and the metal foil 12 that are closer to the end than the notch 17 are stripped off.
[0030] Like the sheath stripping apparatus 1 of the first embodiment, the sheath stripping apparatus 101 described above can effectively remove the sheath 11 even when the material of the sheath 11 is a soft material or when the stripping portion of the sheath 11 is long.
[0031] The “stripping device” according to a third embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to Fig. 6 explained. In Fig. 6, the same components as in the first embodiment described above are designated by the same reference numerals, and explanations are omitted.
[0032] One in Fig. The stripping device 201 shown in Figure 6 has four contact sections 202 instead of the four contact sections 2 of the stripping device 1 of the first embodiment and otherwise has the same configuration as the stripping device 1. The stripping device 201 serves to strip the sheath 11 of the Fig.7, for example, as in the first embodiment.
[0033] Each contact portion 202 is made of metal and has a cylindrical shape. The contact surface of the contact portion 202 with the covered conductor wire 10, i.e., the outer peripheral surface of the contact portion 202, is provided with unevenness to increase the frictional force. In this example, the unevenness is formed by knurling. Furthermore, the unevenness on the outer peripheral surface of the contact portion 202 can be created by sandblasting or shot peening.
[0034] The contact portion 202 can prevent deformation of the sheath 11 by increasing the contact area with the sheath 11 and can strip the sheath 11. Furthermore, since the contact portion 202 has the above-mentioned unevenness formed on the contact surface with the covered conductor wire 10, the frictional force on the contact surface can be increased and slippage can be prevented, so that the sheath 11 can be stripped more reliably.
[0035] The stripping method of the stripping device 201 is the same as that of the stripping device 1 of the first embodiment, so an explanation is omitted.
[0036] Like the sheath stripping apparatus 1 of the first embodiment, the sheath stripping apparatus 201 described above can effectively remove the sheath 11 even when the material of the sheath 11 is a soft material or when the stripping portion of the sheath 11 is long.
[0037] Although in the above-described embodiment, an example was explained in which the moving means moves the contact portion with respect to the fixed covered conductor wire, the moving means may move the covered conductor wire with respect to the fixed contact portion in the present invention.
[0038] In the above-described embodiment, an example was explained in which the sheath 11 and the metal foil 12 of the covered conductor wire 10, which is a shielded conductor wire with a five-layer structure, are removed, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the sheath stripping apparatus of the present invention can also be applied to a covered conductor wire with a two-layer structure in which a core wire is surrounded by a sheath. The number of layers to be removed from the outer surface of the covered conductor wire is also not particularly limited.
[0039] It should be noted that the above-described embodiment merely illustrates a typical form of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. That is, various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the invention. It should be understood that such modifications are included within the scope of the present invention as long as they still maintain the structure of the present invention.
