Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a ceiling mounting for a decorative arrangement.
[0002] A decorative arrangement can generally be attached to a ceiling using drill holes and wall plugs. This type of attachment is cumbersome with suspended ceilings.
[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a simple method of ceiling mounting. This is achieved by a ceiling mounting, a decorative arrangement, and a fastening arrangement according to the main claims; embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims and the description.
[0004] The ceiling mount is used to attach a decorative arrangement to the metal support rails of a ceiling. It comprises a magnetic carrier with at least one permanent magnet and a cable connector to which a suspension cable can be attached. The cable connector is attached to the magnetic carrier.
[0005] In one embodiment, the magnet carrier can have several permanent magnets arranged around a central point. In a special embodiment, four permanent magnets are arranged radially around the center at angular offsets of 90° each.
[0006] The support cable can be detachably attached to the ceiling mount.
[0007] The decorative arrangement comprises a ceiling mount of the type described above, a decorative object (e.g., a flower pot), and a support cable. The decorative object is attached to the support cable, and the support cable is attached to the cable connection of the ceiling mount.
[0008] The fastening arrangement according to the invention comprises a ceiling mounting or a decorative arrangement of the type mentioned above, as well as at least one metallic support rail of a ceiling. The permanent magnet of the ceiling mounting is magnetically attached to the support rail.
[0009] In one embodiment, the support rails form intersections where several support rails cross at right angles. The center of the magnet carrier is aligned with one of these intersections.
[0010] In one embodiment, each of the permanent magnets is magnetically attached to one of the support rails.
[0011] The use of permanent magnets according to the invention enables quick and easy attachment to the metallic support rails. This significantly reduces the effort and time required for installation.
[0012] The decorative arrangement can be easily attached to and removed from various points on the ceiling. This offers flexibility in use and adaptation to different room configurations.
[0013] The use of permanent magnets offers the above advantages while ensuring a stable and secure attachment of the decorative arrangement. This minimizes the risk of accidents or damage.
[0014] The ceiling to which the mounting system is attached can contain sound-absorbing elements. This helps to reduce noise and improve room acoustics.
[0015] The optional housing around the ceiling mount gives the entire setup a neat and attractive appearance. This is particularly advantageous in office environments or living spaces.
[0016] The invention is particularly applicable to so-called suspended ceilings or Armstrong ceilings.
[0017] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figures, which show: Fig. 1 a fastening arrangement according to the invention in a perspective view from the side below; Fig. 2 the fastening arrangement according Fig. 1 in side view; Fig. 3 a ceiling mounting and sectionally a support cable of the mounting arrangement in exploded view.
[0018] The Fig. Sections 1 to 3 are described together. A fastening arrangement 1 according to the invention comprises a decorative arrangement 2 which is attached to a ceiling 3. At least parts of the ceiling can be considered as part of the fastening arrangement 1.
[0019] The decorative arrangement 2 includes, in particular, a decorative element 21 suspended from a support cable 22. In the present case, the decorative element 21 is a flower pot.
[0020] The support cable 22 is attached to the ceiling 3 by means of a ceiling fixing 23. The ceiling 3 has a multitude of horizontally oriented metallic support rails 31 arranged in a rectangular pattern. The support rails 31 carry horizontally arranged infill elements 32, which close the gaps formed between the support rails 31. The infill elements 32 are designed, in particular, as sound-absorbing elements. Such ceilings 3, also known as suspended ceilings or Armstrong ceilings, are frequently found in office buildings.
[0021] Intersection points 31K are formed by support rails 31 at points where several support rails meet, particularly at right angles. To attach the decorative arrangement 2 to the ceiling 3, the ceiling fixing 23 is installed at such an intersection point 31K.
[0022] The ceiling mounting 23 has a magnetic carrier 232 with at least one permanent magnet 231. The permanent magnet 231 interacts magnetically with one of the support strips 31 and thus holds the magnetic carrier 232 to the ceiling 3.
[0023] In the present example, the magnet carrier 232 has four magnets arranged radially around a common center 232Z, wherein the permanent magnets are arranged circumferentially offset by 90° in the circumferential direction around the center 232Z.
[0024] The center 232Z is aligned with the intersection point 31K. The four permanent magnets 231 are aligned with the four support rails 31K extending radially from the intersection point. Thus, each of the four permanent magnets 231 can form a magnetic connection with one of the support rails 31. The center 232Z lies in the extension of the support cable 22.
[0025] The ceiling mounting has a cable connection 233 to which the suspension cable is attached. The cable connection 233 has an opening 2330 through which the suspension cable 22 passes. This opening 2330 has a smaller diameter than a suspension cable thickening 221 of the suspension cable 22, the suspension cable thickening 221 being located above the opening 2330 and therefore unable to slide through the opening 2330.
[0026] The cable connection 233 is attached to the magnetic carrier 232, in a detachable manner, in particular by a bayonet fitting or by a screw connection. The support cable 22 is thus suspended from the ceiling mounting 23. In an alternative embodiment, the cable connection 233 can be formed integrally with the magnetic carrier 232.
[0027] An optional, in particular removable, housing 234 surrounds the magnetic carrier 232 and the cable connection 233. The housing 234 has a cylindrical shape. The housing 234 is detachably connected to the magnetic carrier 232 and / or the cable connection 233, for example, by a bayonet fitting. Reference symbol list 1 Mounting arrangement 2.
