Abstract

The invention relates to a method (100) for setting up a battery management system (3), comprising (101) determining usage criteria of an electrical energy storage device (2) over a predetermined usage period; (102) feeding the determined usage criteria into a neural network configured to issue a command to set up the battery management system (3) based on the determined usage criteria; and (103) setting up the battery management system (3) based on the command issued by the neural network. The invention further relates to a method (108) for setting up a neural network and to a motor vehicle (1) comprising an electrical energy storage device (2), a battery management system (3), a neural network module (4), and a control unit (5).
