Description

field of technology

[0001] The present invention relates to an actuating device for actuating a powershift element for a planetary gear. Furthermore, the invention relates to a powershift device for a planetary gear comprising such an actuating device, and to a planetary gear having such a powershift device. State of the art

[0002] Planetary gears comprise various planetary gear elements that can be mechanically coupled via a powershift element. DE 10 2017 210 972 A1 discloses an actuating device that includes a ball ramp mechanism for converting a rotary motion into a translational motion to actuate such a powershift element. Brief description of the invention

[0003] One object of the present invention was to provide an actuating device for actuating a powershift element for a planetary gear train, which has a high level of reliability and a compact design. This object is achieved by an actuating device for actuating a powershift element for a planetary gear train according to claim 1. The powershift element can be a frictional shifting element or a positive shifting element. The powershift element is designed to shift a planetary gear train while simultaneously transmitting torque, i.e., under load while driving. The planetary gear train can comprise one or more planetary gear stages, each of which can be designed as a minus or plus planetary gear stage. Each of the planetary gear stages can comprise a sun gear, a planet carrier that rotatably supports a planet gear train, and a ring gear. The planet gear train can mesh with the sun gear and the ring gear. The planetary gear can be integrated into a vehicle's axle drive and, additionally or alternatively, into a vehicle's automatic transmission. The vehicle can be a passenger car or a work machine.

[0004] The actuating device comprises a drive disk that is rotatable about a rotational axis. Means can be provided for limiting a translational movement of the drive disk in the direction of the rotational axis. The drive disk can have a central bore for the passage of a component of the planetary gear, e.g., a drive shaft of the planetary gear. The rotational axis of the drive disk can be a central axis of the entire actuating device. The actuating device further comprises a drive unit, e.g., a motor, for rotating the drive disk about the rotational axis. The drive unit can be arranged parallel to, but spaced from, the rotational axis. The drive unit can be an electric, hydraulic, and / or pneumatic motor.

[0005] In addition, the actuating device comprises a switching disc which is arranged coaxially to the drive disc and is axially displaceable along the axis of rotation in order to actuate the powershift element. The switching disc can have a central bore for the passage of a component of the planetary gear system, e.g. the drive shaft described above. The switching disc can have an outer diameter which is the same as or similar to the outer diameter of the drive disc. Means can be provided for limiting a rotational movement of the drive disc about the axis of rotation. The translational movement of the switching disc along the axis of rotation can actuate the powershift element directly or indirectly, i.e. via one or more intermediate components. In other words, the translational movement of the switching disc can result in the powershift element being engaged.Likewise, a translational movement of the switching disc in the opposite direction can lead to disengagement of the power switching element.

[0006] The actuating device further comprises a ball ramp mechanism, which can be arranged in the direction of the rotational axis between the drive disk and the switching disk. The ball ramp mechanism is designed to convert a rotational movement of the drive disk about the rotational axis into a translational movement of the switching disk along the rotational axis. For this purpose, the ball ramp mechanism can comprise one or more balls, which can be mounted in a ball cage. The balls can engage in ball receptacles formed either on the drive disk or the switching disk in order to lock these components against one another in a rotationally fixed manner about the rotational axis. At the same time, the other of the drive disk and the switching disk, i.e. the one that does not have ball receptacles, can comprise one or more ramps, each of which engages a ball of the ball ramp mechanism. The ramps can have a gradient - e.g.a linear gradient - which leads to a varying thickness - e.g. a linearly varying thickness - of the drive disk or the switching disk. At the same time, the ramps can extend in the circumferential direction of the drive disk or the switching disk. In other words, the ramps can have a varying extent along the circumferential direction, e.g. a linearly varying extent, in the direction of the axis of rotation. The balls of the ball ramp mechanism provided in the ball receptacles can each engage with a ramp of the ball ramp mechanism. When the drive disk is rotated about the axis of rotation by the drive unit, this can lead to the balls moving along the ramps of the ball ramp mechanism. Due to the gradient of the ramps, the rotational movement of the drive disk leads to a translational movement of the switching disk.If the powershift element is designed as a multi-plate clutch, the translational movement of the switching disc can serve to frictionally engage a first disc of the multi-plate clutch with a second disc of the multi-plate clutch to close the switching element. By converting a rotary movement of a drive unit into a translational movement via a ball ramp mechanism, the actuating device according to the invention thus enables space-saving, simple, and reliable actuation of a powershift element.

[0007] The actuating device further comprises a movement-limiting device for limiting a rotational movement of the drive disk about the rotational axis. By limiting the rotational movement of the drive disk about the rotational axis, a translational movement of the switching disk along the rotational axis is also limited. The movement-limiting device thus ensures that the drive disk and the switching disk are only moved within a predetermined range of motion. This ensures that a force exerted by the switching disk on the powershift element is also limited, thereby providing an actuating device for actuating a powershift element for a planetary gear with high reliability and effective operation.

[0008] In one embodiment, one of the drive disk and the switching disk comprises a guide groove, and the other of the drive disk and the switching disk comprises a guide projection engaging in the guide groove. The guide groove may extend along less than 180°, optionally along less than 150°, of the circumference of one of the drive disk and the switching disk. In one embodiment, the guide groove extends along approximately 120° of the circumference of one of the drive disk and the switching disk. The guide projection may be formed as a pin having a rectangular, e.g., square, or alternatively, round, cross-section. The rotational movement of the drive disk about the rotation axis may be limited by the movement of the guide projection in the guide groove. In other words, the guide projection may move from one end of the guide groove to the other end of the guide groove. Both ends of the guide groove can provide a mechanical stop. This embodiment provides a mechanically actuated movement limiting device that ensures high reliability and a compact and simple design. Alternatively or additionally, the movement limiting device can also be designed as an electrical movement limiting device. In one embodiment, such an electrical movement limiting device can be implemented by software that limits the rotational movement of the drive unit.

[0009] In one embodiment, the drive pulley comprises a spur gear segment for driving by the drive device. The spur gear segment can be provided on a segment of the outer circumference of the drive pulley. The spur gear segment can extend over half or less of the circumference of the drive pulley. In one embodiment, the circumferential extent of the spur gear segment can correspond to the circumferential extent of the guide groove. The spur gear segment can extend only in those sections of the circumference that are mechanically connected to the drive unit when the guide projection moves in the guide groove from one end of the groove to the other end. In one embodiment, the spur gear segment can extend along 150° or less of the circumference of the drive pulley—e.g., along approximately 120°—of the circumference of the drive pulley. This embodiment provides an actuating device with a compact design that allows easy integration into a planetary gear system.

[0010] In one embodiment, at least one gear stage is provided between the drive unit and the drive pulley to increase the torque of the drive unit. The gear stage can be designed as any desired type—e.g., as a spur gear, planetary gear, pinion gear, compound gear, or another type of gear. The gear stage can increase the torque of the drive unit by reducing the rotational speed of the drive unit. This enables a more compact drive unit, e.g., an electric motor, that can be more easily integrated into the actuating device. In one embodiment, two gear stages, e.g., a pinion gear and a compound gear, are provided between the drive unit and the drive pulley. Such a design enables a significant increase in torque and compact, simple integration of the drive unit into the actuating device.

[0011] In one embodiment, the actuating device further comprises a piston for actuating the powershift element. If the powershift element is designed as a multi-plate clutch, the piston can be configured to bring one set of plates of the multi-plate clutch into frictional engagement with another set of plates of the multi-plate clutch. In this embodiment, the actuating device is designed such that a translational movement of the switching disc is transmitted to the piston. The translational movement of the piston can be guided by a guide means, e.g., a toothing formed on the piston that is in sliding engagement with a toothing formed on a supporting component. Furthermore, an axial bearing, e.g., an axial ball bearing, which enables a relative rotational movement between the switching disc and the piston, can be provided. When the piston engages the powershift element, this can cause torque to be transferred from the powershift element to the piston. The thrust bearing ensures that such torque is not transferred to the shift disc.

[0012] In one embodiment, the switching disc comprises a guide element for guiding a translational movement and preventing a rotational movement of the switching disc. The guide element can be formed integrally with the switching disc or rigidly connected to it. The guide element can be mounted in a guide slot of a supporting component, in which it is translationally displaceable and which absorbs a torque about the rotational axis to prevent a rotational movement of the switching disc. The guide element can be designed as a guide pin. This embodiment ensures effective and reliable operation by providing highly precise conversion of the rotational movement of the drive disc into a translational movement of the switching disc.

[0013] The present invention further relates to a powershift device for a planetary gear train, comprising a powershift element and an actuating device for actuating the powershift element according to one of the previously described embodiments. The powershift element can be designed as described above, e.g., as a multi-plate clutch. Furthermore, the powershift device can comprise a hub, which can be formed by a single component or by several rigidly connected components. The hub can be provided coaxially to and radially within the drive disk and the switching disk, the powershift element, and the ball ramp mechanism. The hub can serve as a support element for the actuating device. In one embodiment, the hub supports the drive disk, e.g., it rotatably supports the drive disk—optionally via a radial bearing, in one embodiment via a radial roller bearing. The hub can also support the powershift element. If the powershift element is designed as a multi-plate clutch, the first set of plates can be connected to the hub in a rotationally fixed manner, but can be movable in the axial direction, e.g., in the direction of the rotational axis described above, to actuate the shifting element. In one embodiment, a toothing is formed on the hub that engages with a toothing of the first set of plates of the multi-plate clutch. The translational movement of the shifting disc, which can be transmitted to the piston, can cause a translational movement of the first set of plates of the multi-plate clutch.

[0014] Furthermore, the powershift element can be configured to mechanically couple the hub to a connecting element, which can be mechanically coupled to a planetary gear element of a planetary gear system. In other words, in this embodiment, the hub can be mechanically connected to the connecting element by actuating the powershift element. The powershift device can further comprise a coupling element for mechanically coupling the hub to a drive shaft of a planetary gear system. The coupling element can be designed as a coupling sleeve, which optionally has a toothing on its inner side. The toothing of the coupling sleeve can engage with a toothing on the hub and can be brought into engagement with a toothing on the drive shaft. In one embodiment, the coupling element can be moved translationally in the direction of the axis of rotation in order to mechanically engage or disengage it from the drive shaft. When engaged, the coupling element mechanically couples the drive shaft to the hub, which can be mechanically coupled to the connecting element by actuating the power shift element.

[0015] The present invention further relates to a planetary gear system with various planetary gear elements, which can be configured as described above. The planetary gear system further comprises a drive shaft and a powershift device according to one of the previously described embodiments. The drive shaft is mechanically coupled to one of the planetary gear elements, and the powershift device is configured to mechanically couple the drive shaft to another of the planetary gear elements. Regarding the design and advantages of the individual elements, reference is made to the above-described embodiments of the actuating device of the present invention. Brief description of the drawings TheFig. 1 shows a perspective view of a load switching device according to an embodiment of the present invention. The Fig. 2 shows the drive unit of the load switching device of the Fig. 1 in a detailed view. The Fig. 3 shows a sectional view of the load switching device of the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The Fig. 4 shows an exploded view of the load switching device of the Fig. 1 to 3. The Fig. 5 shows a movement limiting device of the load switching device of the Fig. 1 to 4. Detailed description of embodiments

[0016] The Fig. Figure 1 shows a powershift device 1 for a planetary gear according to an embodiment of the present invention. The powershift device 1 comprises an actuating device 2 for actuating a powershift element 3 of a planetary gear. The powershift element 3 is shown in the Fig. 3 to 5. In the present embodiment, it is designed as a multi-plate clutch. The multi-plate clutch 3 comprises a first set of plates and a second set of plates, wherein the first set of plates and the second set of plates can be brought into frictional engagement with one another to close the powershift element 3 and can be brought out of engagement with one another to open the powershift element. The actuating device 2 comprises a drive disk 4, which can be rotated about a - in the Fig. 3 - axis of rotation A, and a drive unit 5 for driving the drive disk 4 in rotation about the axis of rotation A. In the present embodiment, the drive unit 5 is designed as an electric motor with a rotation axis that is arranged parallel to, but spaced from, the axis of rotation A of the power switching device 1. Furthermore, the actuating device 2 comprises a switching disk 6 that is arranged coaxially to the axis of rotation A and is axially displaceable along the axis of rotation A. The drive disk 4 and the switching disk 6 are arranged coaxially to one another. As shown in the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, a ball ramp mechanism 7 is provided between the drive disk 4 and the switching disk 6. The ball ramp mechanism 7 comprises various balls 8, which, as shown in the Fig. 4, are guided by a ball cage 9.

[0017] In the present embodiment, a plurality of balls 8 are arranged at equal intervals around the circumference of the ball cage 9. On the switching disc 6, a separate ramp is provided for each of the balls 8. Each of the ramps extends in the circumferential direction of the switching disc 6 and leads to a different expansion of the switching disc 6 in the direction of the rotational axis A. In the present embodiment, each of the ramps of the switching disc 6 has a linearly rising guide surface for engagement with the balls 8. The drive disc 4 has a receptacle for each of the balls 8 in order to fix the balls 8 in a rotationally fixed manner relative to the drive disc 4. In the Fig. In the assembled state shown in Figure 3, for example, the balls 8 engage in the receptacles of the drive disk 4, so that both elements 4, 8 are fixed to one another in a rotational direction about the rotational axis A. At the same time, the balls 8 engage with the ramps formed on the switching disk 6. When the drive disk 4 is rotated about the rotational axis A, it takes the balls 8 with it, which roll along the ramps formed on the switching disk 6. Due to the different extension of the ramps in the direction of the rotational axis A, a rotational movement of the drive disk 4 about the rotational axis A leads to a translational movement of the switching disk 6 along the rotational axis A.

[0018] The actuating device 2 further comprises a piston 10, which has a disc-like shape. The piston 10 is translationally displaceable along the rotational axis A in order to transmit a translational movement of the switching disc 6 to the power shift element 3. An axial roller bearing 11 is provided between the switching disc 6 and the piston 10 to enable a relative rotational movement between these two parts. The drive disc 4, the balls 8 with the ball cage 9, the switching disc 6, the axial roller bearing 11, the piston 10, and the power shift element 3 are arranged one behind the other in this order in the direction of the rotational axis.

[0019] The power shift device 1 further comprises a hub 12. In the present embodiment, the hub 12 comprises several components that are fixedly fastened to one another. The hub 12 has, on the Fig. 1 to 5, the left side has an input section which has a toothing on its outer circumference. The toothing engages with a coupling element 13, which is designed as a coupling sleeve with a toothing on its inner circumference. Due to the engagement of the toothing of the hub 12 with the toothing of the coupling sleeve 13, the hub 12 and the coupling sleeve 13 are rotationally fixed, but can be moved translationally relative to one another in the direction of the rotation axis A. Such a translational movement of the coupling sleeve 13 along the axis A can be actuated by an actuator which is mechanically coupled to the coupling sleeve 13 and is not shown in the figures.

[0020] The hub 12 has a step at an intermediate section with a diameter that is larger than the input section. A radial ball bearing 14 is provided at this intermediate section for rotatably supporting the drive disk 4. The drive disk 4 is rotatably supported on the hub, ie, on the intermediate section of the hub 12, via the radial ball bearing 14. The ball bearing 14 is secured to the hub by a retaining ring 15 that is inserted into the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, is attached to the hub 12. The drive disc 4 is clamped to the radial ball bearing 14 such that any translational movement of the drive disc 4 in the direction of the rotation axis A is prevented. In other words, the drive disc 4 can rotate relative to the hub 12 via the radial ball bearing 14, but is prevented from moving translationally in the direction of the rotation axis A.

[0021] The hub 12 further comprises an output section which is inserted into the Fig. 1 to 5 on the right. The output section comprises two sections, both of which have a larger diameter than the intermediate section and the input section of the hub 12. As shown in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the first section of the output section, which faces the intermediate section, has a toothing on its outer circumference. The second section of the output section has a step on its inner circumference opposite the first section. As shown in the Fig. 3 to 5, the first set of plates of the multi-plate clutch 3 engages with the toothing of the first sub-section of the output section, so that it is axially displaceable along the axis of rotation A, but is fastened in a rotationally fixed manner about the axis of rotation A. The piston 10 also has a toothing on its inner circumference in order to engage the toothing on the outer circumference of the first sub-section of the output section of the hub 12. The second set of plates of the multi-plate clutch 3 is mechanically coupled to a connecting element 16. By translationally displacing the piston 10 via the switching disc 6 in the direction of the axis of rotation A, the piston 10 presses the first set of plates of the multi-plate clutch 3 against the second set of plates in order to bring about a frictional engagement and thus mechanically couple the hub 12 to the connecting element 16.In other words, by actuating the actuating device 2, the drive disk 4 is rotated, and this rotational movement is converted by the ball ramp mechanism 7 into a translational movement of the switching disk 6. The translational movement of the switching disk 6 is transmitted to the piston 10, which transmits it to the power shift element 3. To guide a translational movement of the switching disk 6 along the axis of rotation A and to prevent a rotational movement of the switching disk 6, a guide pin 17 is provided on the switching disk 6. The guide pin 17 engages in a guide slot (not shown), thereby enabling a translational movement along the direction of the axis of rotation A, but preventing a rotational movement of the switching disk 6 about the axis A.

[0022] To drive the drive pulley 4, the drive pulley 4 has a spur gear segment 18 provided on its outer circumference. In the present embodiment, the spur gear segment 18 extends only along approximately 120° of the outer circumference. This ensures a compact design and easy integration of the powershift device 1 into a planetary gear system. To increase the torque and reduce the rotational speed of the electric motor 5, two gear stages are provided: a pinion gear 19 and a compound gear 20. At the same time, the compound gear 20 and the pinion gear 19 allow the electric motor 5 to be arranged at a distance from the drive pulley 4.

[0023] The actuating device 2 of the present embodiment further comprises a Fig. 5. The movement limiting device 21 is formed by a guide groove 22 in the drive disk 4, which extends along a circumferential section, in this case from one end to the other end of the spur gear segment 18. Accordingly, the guide groove 22 also extends along approximately 120° of the circumference of the drive disk 4. The movement limiting device 21 further comprises a guide projection 23, which in this case is provided on the switching disk 6. The guide projection 23 engages with the guide groove 22. The guide groove 22 and the guide projection 23 can move relative to one another in the direction of rotation about the axis of rotation A within the range provided by the engagement of the guide projection 23 with one end of the guide groove and the other end of the guide groove 22 in the circumferential direction. As soon as the guide projection 23 rests against one of the ends of the guide groove 22, a relative rotational movement of the drive disk 4 relative to the switching disk 6 is limited. In other words, the movement limiting device 21 ensures that the drive disk 4 can only rotate relative to the switching disk 6 along a circumferential section at an angle of the spur gear segment 18. By limiting the relative rotational movement of the drive disk 4 relative to the switching disk 6, the translational movement of the switching disk 6 and thus the translational movement of the piston 10 and the first set of plates of the multi-plate clutch 3 are also limited. In the present embodiment, the spur gear segment 18, the powershift element 3, the ball ramp mechanism 7, and the movement limiting device 21 are coordinated to provide reliable, effective, and efficient actuation and release of the powershift element 3.

[0024] The load switching device 1 of the Fig. 1 to 5 can be installed in a planetary gear with various planetary gear elements and a drive shaft. Such a drive shaft can, as shown in the Fig. 3 by the reference numeral 24, coaxially and arranged within the hub 12. The drive shaft 24 can be mechanically coupled to an electric motor and can mechanically couple the motor to one or more planetary gear stages. The drive shaft 24 can comprise a toothing on its outer circumference. By axially displacing the coupling element 13 described above, the drive shaft 24 can be mechanically coupled to the hub 12 via its toothing and the toothing on the inside of the coupling element 13. In such an embodiment, a torque of the drive shaft 24 can be transmitted to the hub 12 via the coupling element 13. By actuating the actuating device 2, the hub 12 can be mechanically coupled to the connecting element 16 via the clutch 3. Consequently, a torque of the drive shaft 24 can be transmitted to the connecting element 16 via the coupling element 13, the hub 12 and the switching element 3.

[0025] One of the planetary gear elements of the planetary gear can be mechanically coupled to the connecting element 16. Another of the planetary gear elements, e.g., a ring gear, can be mechanically coupled to the hub 12. Such a ring gear is shown in the Fig.3 with the reference numeral 25. The ring gear 25 can be pressed into the hub 12 and abut against the inner step provided between the first and second subsections of the output section of the hub 12 to provide a mechanical stop. If the connecting element 16 is connected to one of the planetary gear elements and another of the planetary gear elements, e.g., the ring gear 25, is mechanically coupled to the hub 12, a speed of the planetary gear can be switched by actuating the clutch 3. Furthermore, an additional speed or, additionally or alternatively, a parking lock functionality can be provided by coupling the input shaft 24 to the hub 12 via the coupling sleeve 13.
