Abstract
Description
Conventional toilets with a toilet rim have a specific construction in which the rim is attached to the upper rim of the toilet bowl. The toilet flush rim is a horizontal rim that extends along the upper inner rim of the toilet bowl and is positioned above the level of water in the bowl. The flushing mechanism of these toilets provides that the flushing water is passed through the toilet flushing rim to efficiently clean the inner surface of the toilet bowl. The flushing edge helps distribute the water uniformly and thus ensure thorough cleaning.WC cleaning pieces, also known as WC stones, have already been used for a long time for cleaning, disinfection and fragrancing toilets under the rim of the bowl (so-called rim blocks) and in the water box (in-tank blocks or cister blocks). In recent years, the aesthetic and performance have become increasingly important. This led, for example, to the development of solid or gel-like or liquid scent rinses, which are partly offered in multi-chamber containers and thus allow the combination of a cleaning agent, which is dispensed upon actuation of the toilet rinse, with a permanent room fragrancing.Solutions are known from the prior art in which a cleaning product is applied to the surface of the toilet bowl.EP 2 141 221 A1 discloses an adhesive cleaning product comprising a substantially flat adhesive surface for being adhered to a surface, such as the wall of the toilet bowl, and an opposite active surface, preferably rounded, facing outwards and subjected to the action of water flow, for example the flushing water of the toilet. The cleaning product is packaged as a disposable applicator. The cleaning product is present in a dish. The applicator includes handle portions connected to the shell. Finally, closure means are provided on the device 100. The closure means are for example in the form of a peelable foil which is firmly connected to the outer ring or to the shell itself. The cleaning product from the prior art is packaged as a disposable applicator. The cleaning product is present in a dish. The applicator includes handle portions connected to the shell. The cleaning product has a substantially flat adhesive layer. Finally, closure means are provided on the disposable applicator to prevent the products from sticking together prior to use. The closure means are for example in the form of a peelable foil which is firmly connected to the outer ring or to the shell itself.Newer rimless toilets, also referred to as "rim-free toilets" or "rimless toilets", differ in their construction from conventional toilets having a toilet rim. These modern toilets are characterized by the absence of a horizontal rim at the upper inner rim of the toilet bowl. The flush-edgeless construction offers several advantages. On the one hand, it facilitates cleaning, since there is no flushing edge on which deposits and bacteria could collect. This contributes to a more hygienic environment and reduces the cleaning effort. The flushing technology in rimless toilets is designed so that the flushing water effectively and uniformly reaches the entire inner surface of the toilet bowl. This allows for thorough cleaning and helps minimize unpleasant odors. The known toilet cleaning pieces, also known as toilet blocks, are aligned with toilets with a flushing rim. However, because of the different construction and in particular the different flushing water flow, the solutions are not suitable for flush-edgeless toilets.Furthermore, the solutions known from the prior art are not environmentally lasting, since expensive packaging is required. Thus, there is a need for cleaning products that overcome these disadvantages. These disadvantages are overcome by the invention in accordance with the aspects described below.According to a first aspect, a first self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body is described, comprising:a molded body having a planar bottom side and a top side; andan adhesion layer which is arranged at least on the planar underside of the molded body, wherein the adhesion layer is formed from a water-soluble material, andonly on contact with a moistened surface becomes self-adhesive,wherein the adhesion layer has a thickness in a range between 1 μm to 1 mm, preferably between 10 μm to 50 μm.The solution according to the invention is ecologically more durable than the solutions known from the prior art, since it is possible to dispense with expensive packaging. FIG. 10 b : The self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to the sixth embodiment with rinsing water flow FIG. 11 a : packaging unit with a detergent shaped body according to the first embodiment FIG. 11 b : packaging unit with a detergent shaped body according to the second embodiment.FIG. 1 shows the self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body (10) according to a first embodiment comprising:a molded body (20) having a planar underside (21) and an upper side (22); and an adhesion layer (31) which is arranged at least on the planar underside (21) of the molded body (20), wherein the adhesion layer (31) is formed from a water-soluble material and becomes self-adhering only upon contact with a moistened surface (40), wherein the adhesion layer (31) has a thickness in a range between 10 μm and 3 mm.The shaped body is preferably free of adhesion promoters, such that the adhesion effect is substantially effected by the water-soluble film.FIG. 2 shows a use of the self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body 10, wherein the shaped cleaning agent body 10 is applied with the planar underside 21 to a wetted sanitary surface 40. The adhesive layer 31 is formed from a water-soluble material and becomes self-adhesive only upon contact with a moistened surface 40.The one adhesion layer 31 is arranged on the planar underside 21 of the molded body 20.However, the adhesion layer is not necessarily limited to the lower surface 21. The solution according to the invention is ecologically more durable than the solutions known from the prior art, since it is possible to dispense with expensive packaging. This is because the adhesive layer, which is formed from a water-soluble material, becomes self-adhesive only upon contact with a moistened surface. Closure means to prevent the products from sticking together prior to use are thus not necessary. The product according to the invention, on the other hand, has an adhesive layer formed from a water-soluble material and only becomes self-adhesive when in contact with a moistened surface. The adhesion layer has a thickness in a range between 1 μm and 1 mm, preferably 10 μm to 50 μm. In the range indicated, it has been found preferred that the self-adhesive capacity of the surface can be reduced, especially in the case where the products are stored in a dry environment. On contact with a moistened surface, the adhesion layer, the thickness of which is in the stated range, on the other hand, preferably becomes tacky and does not have any residues after the detergent shaped body has been rinsed off.In particular, it has been found that an adhesive layer thinner than the lower limit of the specified range does not become sufficiently self-adhesive on a wetted surface.Further, it has been found that an adhesive layer thicker than the upper limit of the stated range leaves aesthetically unappealing residues on the surface of the sanitary article.FIG. 3 shows the self-adhering detergent molded body according to a second embodiment. The first adhesive layer 31 is formed of a water soluble material and becomes self-adhesive only upon contact with a wetted surface 40. A second water-soluble adhesion layer 32 is disposed on the upper surface 22 of the molded body 20 and serves as a protective film. The first adhesion layer 31 and the second adhesion layer 32 are at least partially embodied in a non-connected manner, so that a certain distance is found between the two.FIG. 4 ashows the shaped cleaning agent body 10 according to the second embodiment on the wetted sanitary surface 40 before rinsing. The second adhesion layer 32 is arranged on the top side 22 of the molded body 20 before rinsing.FIG. 4 bshows the shaped cleaning agent body 10 on the moistened sanitary surface 40 after the rinsing. The second adhesion layer 32 is released from the upper side 22 of the molded body 20 with the rinsing, while the first adhesion layer 31 ensures the adhesion to the surface 40.FIG. 5 ashows a use of the self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body 10 according to a third embodiment, wherein the shaped cleaning agent body 10 is applied with the planar underside 21 on a wetted sanitary surface 40. The adhesive layer 31 is preferably formed from a water-soluble material and becomes self-adhesive only upon contact with a moistened surface 40. The one adhesion layer 31 is arranged on the planar underside 21 of the molded body 20. However, the adhesion layer is not necessarily limited to the lower side 21... the molded body 30 has a first inflection point 25FIG. 5 bshows the shaped cleaning agent body 10 according to the third embodiment on the wetted sanitary surface 40 during the rinsing. The water is advantageously passed over the surface of the shaped body 20. This is achieved in that the molded body 30 has a first inflection point 25. Furthermore, the molded body has a second inflection point 27 and an apex point 26 which is arranged between the first inflection point 25 and the second inflection point 27. During the rinsing, the water flow is first conducted via the first inflection point 25 and then flows off via an apex and finally via the second inflection point 27. It has been found that such a water flow guidance improves the rinsing behavior. The fragrances and cleaning active agents contained in the molded body can preferably be released into the rinsing water.FIG. 7 a : top view of a self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to a fourth embodiment. The molded body (20) has a planar underside (21) which forms a plane in the x-y direction and an upper side (22); and an adhesion layer (31) which is arranged at least on the planar underside (21) of the molded body (20), characterized in that the underside (21) of the molded body (20) has an n-fold axis of symmetry along the z-axis, wherein n≥3.FIG. 7 b : top view of a self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to the fourth embodiment during rinsing. In contrast to the solutions from the prior art, the solution according to the invention takes into account the peculiarities of rimfree toilets. Rim-type toilets refer to toilets designed without a traditional flushing rim (rim). These toilets have a smooth, rimless inner shell, which facilitates cleaning since less dirt and germs can collect in regions that are difficult to access.Dispensing with the flushing rim also enables more effective flushing, since the water reaches the outlet directly without being interrupted by a rim. Rimfree toilets have become popular in some countries because they are considered more hygienic and easier to clean. In a rim-type toilet, water flow is different from conventional toilets with a flushing rim. In a rim-type lavatory, there is no flushing rim, meaning that the water flows directly from one or more nozzles into the lavatory trough. This design is intended to help distribute the water more effectively over the entire inner surface of the toilet bowl. The self-stick shaped detergent body of the present invention addresses the flow control of a different type in that the design of rimfree toilets aims to effectively direct the flow of water over the entire inner surface of the toilet bowl. The symmetry according to the invention shows a preferred flow via the shaped detergent body and thus an improved rinsing behavior and adhesion capacity, which is to be explained in more detail below:The symmetrical shaped body according to the invention with a round bottom presents an efficient flow dynamics allowing the water to flow evenly around the body. This is shown in the following figure:Due to the higher rotational symmetry of the lower side of the detergent shaped body, a lateral water flow may help to distribute the rinsing water evenly around the entire body, resulting in an even cleaning. In particular, it will help provide efficient flow dynamics when the water flows around the body. This can improve the cleaning efficiency because the water is uniformly passed through the entire molded body. Thus, "dead zones" in which the water does not circulate well can be minimized in a rotationally symmetrical body, since the shape does not change upon rotation. Lateral water flow helps to break through these dead zones and ensure that all areas of the body are reached.Further, turbulence is minimized because the flow around the body is more uniform. Turbulence can lead to the fact that dirt particles are not rinsed off effectively, in particular in the case of a lateral water flow such as is present in the case of rimfree toilets. The uniform rinsing of the body also improves the adhesion of the body to the surface in that the adhesion layer is not unevenly detached. Uniform flushing helps the pressure act uniformly on the surface. If the water flow is non-uniform, this may lead to local pressure differences that could non-uniformly remove the adhesion layer. Uniform rinsing reduces the likelihood that the adhesion layer will adhere more strongly to specific sites than to others. This helps to ensure consistent detachment over the entire surface. Overall, the symmetry according to the invention thus shows a preferred flow via the shaped detergent body and thus an improved rinsing behavior and adhesion capacity.FIG. 8 : The self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to the fifth embodiment in side view. The shaped body 20 has a planar underside 21, which forms a plane in the x-y direction, and an upper side 22; and an adhesion layer 31, which is arranged at least on the planar underside 21 of the shaped body 20, characterized in that the underside 21 of the shaped body 20 has an n-fold axis of symmetry along the z-axis, wherein n≥3. 3. the top side 22 of the molded body 20 has at least one apex 26 in the z-direction.FIG. 9 : Top view of a self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to a sixth embodiment. The shaped body ( 20) has a first plane of symmetry ( 71) perpendicular to the planar underside ( 21) in the y-z direction. Furthermore, the shaped body ( 20) has a second plane of symmetry ( 72) perpendicular to the planar underside ( 21) in the x-z direction.FIG. 10 a : The self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to the sixth embodiment in side view. This shows a shaped body (20) having a planar underside (21) which forms a plane in the x-y direction and an upper side (22); and an adhesion layer (31) which is arranged at least on the planar underside (21) of the shaped body (20). 10 b : The self-adhering shaped cleaning agent body according to the sixth embodiment, showing the flow of rinsing water. The solution according to the invention of this embodiment takes into account the peculiarities of rimfree toilets, in contrast to the solutions from the prior art. The symmetry according to the invention shows a preferred flow via the shaped detergent body and thus improved rinsing behavior and adhesion capacity. Due to the higher rotational symmetry of the lower side of the detergent shaped body, a lateral water flow may help to distribute the rinsing water evenly around the entire body, resulting in an even cleaning. In particular, it will help provide efficient flow dynamics when the water flows across the entire body. This uniform flow guidance is preferred due to the mirror-symmetrical geometry of the body. This can improve the cleaning efficiency because the water is uniformly supplied over the entire molded body. In particular, turbulence is minimized since the flow around the body is more uniform. Turbulence can lead to the fact that dirt particles are not rinsed off effectively, in particular in the case of a lateral water flow such as is present in the case of rimfree toilets.Overall, the mirror-symmetrical geometry according to the invention therefore shows a preferred flow via the shaped detergent body.FIG. 11 a : packaging unit with a detergent shaped body according to the first embodiment. FIG. 11 b : packaging unit with a detergent shaped body according to the second embodiment. The solution according to the invention is ecologically more durable than the solutions known from the prior art, since it is possible to dispense with expensive packaging. The first adhesion layer and the second adhesion layer are at least partially unconnected, so that a certain distance is found between the two. This makes it possible for the second adhesion layer to be able to be released from the upper side of the molded body even shortly after rinsing, and for the fragrances and cleaning active agents contained in the molded body to be released. It is possible, unlike in the prior art, to completely dispense with an outer packaging of the individual shaped cleaning agent bodies 10, 12. In particular, the entire packaging unit 5 can be manufactured substantially free of fossil synthetic polymer materials. The structure of the shaped detergent bodies (comprising a shaped body and an adhesion layer) and the shape of the body having a planar underside and a non-planar upper side are particularly suitable for the packaging unit described here having a plurality of shaped bodies which manage without an outer packaging. A body with a flat underside and a non-planar upper side, in particular with an apex, improves the stackability. The flat underside of the body thereby ensures a stable bearing surface on another surface. This enables a reliable and stable stacking of a plurality of bodies one above the other without easily slipping or tilting. The flat underside makes optimum use of the available space for stacking. There are no irregular bulges or asperities that could inefficiently utilize the space between stacked bodies. The apex on the top helps the uppermost bodies in a stack to adhere better to each other. This reduces the risk of slipping or shifting of the upper bodies.Advantages have been shown in particular in the case of a packaging unit with detergent tablets which have a water-soluble second adhesion layer which is arranged on the non-planar upper side of the tablet. This reduces the risk of slipping or shifting of the upper bodies. If, in connection with the various aspects of the invention described above, an adhesion layer which is arranged at least on the planar underside of the shaped body is described, this means that it covers the planar underside at least partially, preferably substantially completely. This does not exclude that the adhesion layer also protrudes beyond the edge of the underside or other parts, such as the upper side of the molded body, are covered with the same or a further adhesion layer. If, in connection with the various aspects of the invention described above, an adhesion layer which is arranged at least on the upper side of the shaped body is described, this means that it covers the upper side at least partially, preferably substantially completely. This does not exclude that the adhesion layer also protrudes beyond the edge of the upper side or other parts, such as the underside of the molded body, are covered with the same or a further adhesion layer. The following compositions were used for the detergent molded body:Alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS)305530Olefin sulfonate10510Fatty alcohol ethoxylate1155Alkyl polyglycosides C12-14884Sodium Sulfate342049Dyes111Fragrances661The compositions were provided with a water-soluble film as claimed.List of Reference Numerals for the First Embodiment:10 Self-adhering detergent molded body 20 Molded body 21 Lower side Molded body 22 Upper side Molded body 26 Apex Molded body 31 Adhesion layer 40 Wet surface of sanitary articleList of reference numbers for the second embodiment: 10 Self-adhering cleaning agent molded body 20 Molded body 21 Lower side Molded body 22 Upper side Molded body 26 Apex Molded body 31 Adhesion layer 40 Moist surface of sanitary articleList of reference numbers for the third embodiment: 10 Self-adhering cleaning agent molded body 20 Molded body 21 Lower side Molded body 22 Upper side Molded body 25 First inflection point 26 Apex Molded body 26 Second inflection point 31 Adhesion layer 40 Moist surface of sanitary articleList of reference numbers for the fourth embodiment: 10 Self-adhering cleaning agent molded body 20 Molded body 21 Lower side Molded body 22 Upper side Molded body 31 Adhesion layer which substantially completely surrounds the molded body 40 Sanitary surfaceList of Reference Numerals for the Fifth Embodiment:List of reference numbers for the fifth embodiment: 10 Self-adhering cleaning agent molded body 20 Molded body 21 Lower side Molded body 22 Upper side Molded body 31 Adhesion layer 40 Sanitary surface 70 N-fold axis of rotationList of reference numbers for the sixth embodiment: 10 Self-adhering cleaning agent shaped body 20 Shaped body 21 Underside Shaped body 22 Upper side Shaped body 31 Adhesion layer 40 Sanitary surface 71 Plane of symmetry in the y-z direction 72 Plane of symmetry in the x-z directionList of reference numerals for the seventh embodiment: 5 Packaging unit 10 Self-adhering detergent molded body according to one embodiment 12 Self-adhering detergent molded body according to another embodiment 50 Packaging body 55 LidReferences included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
