Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL AREA
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of vehicle braking devices, and in particular to an electromechanical brake and a locking device used therefor. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] An electromechanical brake is a device that enables braking through a motor-driven brake caliper. Compared to conventional brakes with hydraulic lines, it offers advantages such as fast response times, simple structure, and ease of maintenance. As vehicles evolve towards electrification and intelligence, electromechanical brakes have become a development trend in braking systems because they are easier to integrate with electrical control systems. Since the electromechanical brake is located in the vehicle's wheel hub, reconciling compactness and functionality presents a design challenge.
[0003] In conventional hydraulic braking systems, the hydraulic pressure in the brake cylinder is maintained by a hand or foot brake to activate the parking brake. Electromechanical brakes often incorporate a locking device to implement the parking brake function, such as a pin driven by an electromagnetic actuator that engages the transmission mechanism to lock the brake. However, such systems require the electromagnetic actuator to be continuously energized while the vehicle is parked, and a failure of the electromagnetic actuator can result in a failure of the parking brake. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EXECUTION FORMS
[0031] Fig. Figure 1 shows an assembly diagram of an electromechanical brake comprising a rotary shaft 97, a shock absorber 92, a bearing 94, a tie rod lever 93, a brake disc 95, and a vehicle wheel 96, as well as an electromechanical brake 100 according to embodiment d, which is driven by a motor to clamp the brake disc 95 with a brake caliper to generate a braking force. During assembly, the electromechanical brake 100 is mounted on the tie rod lever 93, and at the same time, the electromechanical brake 100 is housed in a compact space within the wheel hub 96.
[0032] With reference to Fig. 2 to Fig. Section 16 describes the electromechanical brake 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The electromechanical brake 100 has a modular design and essentially comprises the brake motor 1, the main module 3, the brake caliper module 5, and the electronic control unit 4. The main shaft 301, coupled to the brake motor 1, is housed in the main module 3, the direction in which the main shaft 301 runs being defined in this document as the axial direction. Under the action of the brake motor 1, the main shaft 301 rotates in a first direction to drive the brake caliper module 5 to perform the braking process, that is, to generate friction with the brake disc 95, with a pawl wheel 33 being fixedly arranged on the main shaft 301.
[0033] With reference to Fig. 4 The main shaft 301 comprises a front end 302 and a rear end 303. The front end 302 of the main shaft 301, i.e., the end near the brake caliper module 5, forms the threaded pin of the ball screw mechanism 304, while the ratchet wheel 33 is arranged at the rear end 303 of the main shaft 301, which is spaced apart from the brake caliper module 5. A worm gear 32 can be arranged in the middle section of the main shaft 301 (between the front end and the rear end) to receive the torque from the brake motor 1, wherein at least one section of the output shaft 11 of the brake motor 1 can be designed as a worm shaft 11, which is oriented in a direction transverse to the axial direction and meshes with the worm gear 32 for torque transmission (see Fig. 9) Alternatively, the brake motor 1 can also drive the main shaft 301 via a gear. The main shaft 301 is driven by the brake motor 1 to rotate in a first direction and drives the piston 305 via the ball screw nut mechanism, so that the brake caliper module 5 clamps the brake disc 95 to perform the braking function.
[0034] On the other hand, a locking device 8 is provided which interacts with the ratchet wheel 33 and functions as a parking brake. The locking device comprises the following: a pawl 81, wherein the pawl 81 has an active end 811 and can be positioned between a rest position in which the active end 811 is separated from the ratchet wheel (as shown in Figure 1). Fig. 10 and Fig. 11), and a working position in which the active end 811 is engaged with the ratchet wheel (as shown in Fig. (as shown in Figure 13), can rotate; and an actuator and a return element, wherein the actuator moves the pawl from the rest position to the working position and the return element returns the pawl from the working position to the rest position. The pawl wheel and the active end of the pawl are configured such that the active end 811, in the working position, interferes with the pawl wheel 33 to prevent the pawl wheel 33 from rotating in a second direction opposite to the first direction and to prevent the pawl 81 from returning to the rest position.
[0035] In some embodiments, the main module 3 of the electromechanical brake comprises the main housing 31 and the end cover 39, wherein the first end of the main housing 31 is connected to the brake caliper module 5 and the second end of the main housing 31, which is opposite the first end, is closed by the end cover 39. The space between the main housing 31 and the end cover 39 accommodates the main shaft 301, the ratchet wheel 33, the worm gear 32, and the locking device 8. In a first embodiment, the locking device 8 is arranged in the end cover 39. Specifically, the end cover 39 comprises, with reference to Fig. 5, in some embodiments, a main part (lower part) which essentially serves to cover the position of the ratchet wheel in the main housing, and an additional part (upper part) which essentially serves to cover the position of the worm shaft in the main housing, wherein in the additional part of the end cover an additional chamber 391 is provided which receives the actuating element of the locking device 8, wherein the actuating element is the electromagnet 82 which is arranged in the additional chamber 391 of the end cover. In this embodiment, the rotating shaft 83 of the ratchet 81 is connected via the opening 392 of the end cover and the corresponding opening of the main housing (not shown in the figure), wherein the ratchet 81 is rotatably attached to the rotating shaft 83, for example, the rotating shaft 83 passes through the shaft hole 810 of the ratchet 81. In the in Fig. In the specific embodiment shown in Figure 8, the pawl 81 is axially positioned on the rotating shaft 83 by the joints 831 and 832 and with the corresponding retaining rings 833 and 834, while the opposite ends 835 and 836 of the rotating shaft 83 are press-fitted to the openings of the end cover 39 and the main housing 31. In this embodiment, the return element is the torsion spring 84, which is arranged on the rotating shaft 83 and connected to the pawl 81.
[0036] More precisely, with reference to Fig. 7, the first end 841 of the torsion spring 84 is attached to the hook section 817 of the pawl 81, while the other end 842 of the torsion spring is attached, for example, to the first projection 394 of the end cover, the torsion spring 84 being pre-compressed or pre-stretched to provide the restoring force. Furthermore, a second projection 393 is arranged on the end cover, the function of which is to limit the pawl 81 when the elastic element returns the pawl to its initial position, the second projection 393 being, in some embodiments, encased in a damping material to provide damping and reduce impact noise.
[0037] In some embodiments, the active end 819 of the pawl 81 extends along the axial direction and is used to make contact with the actuator, such as the executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82, and to receive current (shown in Fig. 8) In this first embodiment, the pawl 81 and the ratchet wheel 33 are located on the same plane, being substantially on the side of the ratchet wheel facing the worm gear of the brake motor, and the pawl 81 receives the rotational force through the axially extending active end 819.
[0038] With reference to Fig. 10 to Fig. 13 The ratchet wheel 33 rotates in the first plane with the main shaft 301, the pawl 81 being configured to rotate in the first plane, and in the rest position the pawl 81 is located on the radial outside of the ratchet wheel 33 (on the worm gear side), the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33 being located on the outer circumference of the ratchet wheel 33. In some embodiments, the operative end 811 is configured as a hook section, the hook section of the operative end 811 engaging in one of the locking teeth 331 on the outer circumference of the ratchet wheel in the working position, thereby causing a locking action. More specifically, using the example of Fig. 13, the counterclockwise rotation corresponds to the first direction of rotation of the ratchet wheel 33 when it receives drive from the brake motor 1, and when the brake motor 1 is no longer operating, the ratchet wheel 33 tends to rotate in the second direction opposite to the first direction (clockwise). Fig. 13) to rotate, whereby the locking tooth 331 engages the hook section of the operative end 811, thereby causing the locking action, and in this state the locking tooth 331 remains locked to the operative end 811 even when the electromagnet 82 is de-energized and its executing end 821 is retracted. However, if the ratchet wheel 33 rotates again under the action of the brake motor 1 in the first direction (counterclockwise in Fig. 13) rotates, the restoring force of the torsion spring 84 causes the locking tooth 331 to move the pawl 81 into the rest position, thereby simultaneously releasing both the pawl 81 and the ratchet wheel 33.
[0039] With reference to Fig. According to the present invention, the electromechanical brake 3 employs a modular design and comprises the main module 3 and the brake caliper module 5, which is attached to the far end of the main module 3, with a fastening nut 61 and a sealing ring 62 arranged between them. The main module 3 comprises the main housing 31 and the end cover 39, the main housing 31 containing the drive shaft 301, the ball screw nut mechanism 304, the ratchet wheel 33, the worm gear 32, and the locking device 8. The first end 311 of the main housing 31 is connected to the brake caliper module 5, and the second end 312 of the main housing 31, opposite the first end, is closed by the end cover 39. The brake motor 1 and the electronic control unit 4 are integrated on opposite sides of the main module 3, for example, on a first side 313 and a second side 314.It is understood that the brake motor 1 and the electromagnet 82 of the locking device 8 are controlled by the electronic control unit 4. Specifically, as in . Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the brake motor 1 and the electromagnet 82 are connected to the electronic control unit 4. When controlling the parking brake, the electronic control unit 4, as soon as a parking brake signal is received, controls the brake motor 1, causing the main shaft 301 to rotate in the first direction and thereby actuate the brake caliper module 5 to build up the specified braking torque by clamping the brake disc 95. Subsequently, the electronic control unit 4 controls the electromagnet 82, causing it to act on the pawl 81 and rotate it from the rest position to the working position. At this point, the gap between the hook section of the operative end of the pawl 81 and the locking teeth 331 of the pawl wheel 33 may not be aligned (for example, as shown in Figure 4). Fig. 12), then the electronic control unit controls the brake motor 1 so that it rotates slightly in the second direction (for example, by the position of one tooth) to bring the operative end 811 of the pawl into the working position, as shown in Fig. Figure 13 shows that the pawl 81 engages with the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33, at which point the electromagnet 82 and the brake motor 1 can be de-energized. Since the pawl 81 is engaged with the ratchet wheel 33, the brake caliper module 5 can maintain the braking torque even when the power supply to the electromagnet 82 and the brake motor 1 is switched off. This eliminates the need for the electromagnet 82 to continue operating when the vehicle is in the parking brake state, thereby reducing the risk of damage to the electromagnet 82 due to prolonged operation. To restart the vehicle, only the brake motor 1 needs to be activated so that the ratchet wheel 33 rotates in the first direction, the pawl 81 returns to its rest position under the guidance of the locking teeth of the ratchet wheel 33 and the action of the return element, until the parking brake is next applied.
[0040] With further reference to Fig. In some embodiments, the maximum engagement depth c of the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33 with the pawl 81 is greater than 3 mm. For example, the maximum engagement depth c of the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33 is 4.5 mm to ensure stability during engagement. Furthermore, the second moment arm L2 from the operative end of the pawl 81 to the center of rotation is more than three times the first moment arm L1 from the active end to the center of rotation. For example, in the illustrated embodiment, the second lever arm L2 is 39.3 mm and the first lever arm L1 is 7 mm, with L2 being more than five times L1. This arrangement can reduce the displacement d of the electromagnet 82.On the other hand, the pawl 81 can have a counterweight section 818, so that the center of gravity of the pawl is closer to the center of rotation, which reduces the performance requirements of the electromagnet 82, so that the electromagnet 82 can have a lower thrust force and therefore a smaller volume.
[0041] With further reference to Fig. 15 and Fig. 16. The end cover 39, pre-assembled with the locking device 8, is mounted on the main housing 31, so that a first sealing element 318 is arranged between the main housing 31 and the end cover 39 to provide a seal between them. The electronic control unit 4 is then mounted on the main module 3. The end cover 39 has a connection that links the electromagnet 82 to the electronic control unit 4, and the second sealing element 396 is arranged around this connection. The main housing 31 also has a connection facing the electronic control unit, at which the output shaft 11 of the brake motor is exposed. A position sensor can be attached to this connection so that the angular position of the output shaft is monitored by the electronic control unit 4. A connecting line from the brake motor 1 to the electronic control unit 4 can be arranged, for example, via the additional opening 310.The third sealing element 317 surrounds the output shaft 11 of the brake motor 1 and the opening 310 to provide additional sealing. It is evident from the above structure that the electromechanical brake according to the first embodiment of the present invention has a compact design, a reasonable arrangement, simple assembly, and a modular structure to facilitate subsequent maintenance.
[0042] With further reference to Fig. 17 to Fig. Section 27 describes the second embodiment according to the present invention, wherein in this second embodiment only the rear wall 40 of the electronic control unit is used instead of the electronic control unit 4, and other identical components are identified with the same reference numerals. In this embodiment, the second end of the main housing 31 of the main module 3 has a cylindrical recess, and the end cover 39 is also substantially disc-shaped. In this embodiment, the locking device 8 is also substantially integrated into the end cover 39, and the actuating element, i.e., the electromagnet 82, is provided on the main housing 31. Specifically, an electromagnet chamber 318 is arranged in the side wall of the cylindrical recess, in which the electromagnet 82 is housed, and the end cover 39 also has a wall 399 (see Figure 27). Fig. 20), which corresponds to the cylindrical contour of the electromagnet 82, so that the electromagnet 82 is positioned between the main housing 31 and the end cover 39 during installation and is in contact with both when installed. With reference to Fig. 19 the active end 821 of the electromagnet 82 is aligned with the locking pawl 81 when installed, and the connection opening on the back of the electromagnet 82 is aligned with the electronic control unit 4.
[0043] With further reference to Fig. Figure 20 shows that the inside of the end cover 39 has a mounting hole 390 for the rotational shaft 83 of the pawl, as well as holes 397 and 398 for the first positioning pin 68 and the second positioning pin 69. Additionally, the inside of the end cover 39 has several reinforcing ribs extending from the mounting hole 390. One end of the rotational shaft 83 is fitted into the mounting hole 390, passes through the shaft hole 810 of the pawl 81, and is axially positioned by a retaining ring 833.An accordion spring 843 is mounted on the first positioning pin 68 and on the second positioning pin 69, wherein the first end 844 of the accordion spring 843 is attached to the first positioning pin 68, the curved section 845 surrounds the second positioning pin 69 and its second end 846 abuts the pawl, wherein this second end 846 is designed, for example, as a stem or collar to better support the arm of the operative end 811 which is connected to the pawl.
[0044] With further reference to Fig. Figure 21 illustrates the specific structure of the pawl 81. The pawl 81 comprises a first arm 812 extending from the shaft hole 810, a second arm 813, and a third arm 814. The end sections of the first arm 812, the second arm 813, and the third arm 814 extend axially to the operative end 811, the active end 819, and the counterweight section 818, respectively. The operative end 811 serves to interact with the pawl 33 in the manner described above in connection with the first embodiment, and the active end 819 receives the thrust force of the electromagnet 82. The counterweight section 818 is configured as the center of gravity of the pawl near its center of rotation. Fig. 21 to Fig. Figure 25 shows that, with the pawl 81 rotating in a second plane parallel to the first plane of rotation of the ratchet wheel 33, and further spaced away from the brake module 5, the pawl 81 rotates in a second plane parallel to the first plane. In some embodiments, the pawl 81 overlaps at least partially in the axial direction with the ratchet wheel 33, with the operative end 811, the active end 819, and the counterweight section 818 each extending axially from the second plane to the first plane and being located radially outside the ratchet wheel. Specifically, during the rotation of the pawl between the rest position and the working position, the active end 819 and the counterweight section 818 are always located radially outside the ratchet wheel 33, while the interaction of the operative end 811 with the locking teeth of the ratchet wheel essentially corresponds to that in the first embodiment, which is why it is not described further here. This arrangement allows the locking device 8 to increase the dimensions of the main module 1 only slightly in the axial direction, without increasing the dimensions in other directions, thus making the main module 1 more compact.
[0045] With further reference to Fig. 26 and Fig. The end cover 39 has a disc-shaped form and can be installed in the cylindrical recess of the main housing 31, with a sealing element 691 provided between the two. Similarly, the connection of the electromagnet 82 and the end of the motor's output shaft extend to the electronic control unit 4.
[0046] With further reference to Fig. 28 to Fig. Section 36 describes the third embodiment according to the present invention. In this embodiment, an adapter 41 is provided between the electronic control unit 4 and the electromagnet 82 as well as the brake motor 1, wherein the adapter 41 is configured as shown in Fig. Figure 36 shows a clamping element 43 for receiving the electromagnet 82. The adapter 41 also includes several positioning holes 441. Furthermore, on its rear side facing the electronic control unit 4, the adapter 41 includes a socket 610, which is connected to two terminals 611 of the electromagnet and to three terminals 612 of the three-phase brake motor 1.
[0047] With reference to Fig. 30 and Fig. Figure 31 shows the locking device combined with the end cover 39, as well as the separate locking device. In some embodiments, the end cover 39 is equipped with at least one positioning post 395, which is inserted into the mounting hole of the main housing to absorb the reaction force acting on the end cover when the ratchet wheel and pawl engage. Furthermore, in this third embodiment, the return element is an accordion spring similar to that in the second embodiment, wherein the rotary shaft 83, due to the impossibility of creating an opening at the corresponding location in the main housing, is configured to have a first cylinder section 837, a second cylinder section 838, and a transition section 839. In this third embodiment, the first cylinder section 837 and the second cylinder section 838 are offset and connected to each other by the transition section 839.The first cylinder section 837 passes through the positioning support 63 and is inserted into the opening of the end cover, while the second cylinder section 838 is inserted into the positioning hole 315 of the main housing 31, the positioning hole 315 being configured to accommodate both the second cylinder section 838 and the transition section 839, thereby suppressing the rotation of the rotating shaft 83. The rotating shaft 83 passes through the pawl 81, the operative end 811 of the pawl 81 interacting with the pawl wheel 33 in the manner described in detail above in the first embodiment. With reference to... Fig. 37 to Fig. Section 45 describes the fourth embodiment of the electromechanical brake 100 according to the present invention. The electromechanical brake 100 has a modular design and essentially comprises the brake motor 1, the main module 3, the brake module 5, and the electronic control unit 4. The electronic control unit 4 can be connected to the brake motor 1 and the actuating mechanism of the locking device 8, e.g., an electromagnet, via the adapter 41. The main module 3 can comprise the main housing 31 and the end cover 39, in which the main shaft 301 connected to the brake motor 1 is housed. The main shaft 301 is driven by the brake motor 1 to rotate in a first direction in order to drive the brake module 5 for the braking process, that is, to generate frictional contact with the brake disc 95. A ratchet wheel 33 is fixedly arranged on the drive shaft 301.
[0048] What's next in Fig. As shown in Figure 38, the electromechanical brake according to the present invention comprises the main module 3, with the brake module 5 attached to the remote end of the main module 3. The main module 3 comprises the main housing 31 and the end cover 39, and the main shaft 301, the ball screw nut mechanism 304, the ratchet wheel 33, the worm gear 32, the locking device 8, and the adapter 41 are housed within the main module 31. The first end of the main housing 31 is connected to the brake module 5, while the second end of the main housing 31, opposite the first end, is closed by the end cover 39.The brake motor 1 and the electronic control unit 4 are integrated on opposite sides of the main module 3. The output shaft of the brake motor 1 is inserted into the main housing 31 to mesh with the worm gear on the main shaft 301. The end of the output shaft can extend to the electronic control unit 4, and a sensor detects the angular position of the brake motor 1's output shaft. The operation of the brake motor 1 and the actuating mechanism of the locking device 8 is controlled by the electronic control unit 4, which can be connected to the brake motor 1 and the electromagnet 82, for example, via the adapter 41.
[0049] With further reference to Fig. 39 and Fig. Figure 40 shows a perspective view of the assembled and disassembled states of the locking device 8. The locking device 8 comprises: a locking device housing 89, a pawl 81 connected to the locking device housing 89 via the rotating shaft 83, the pawl 81 comprising an operative end 811 and capable of rotating between a rest position and a working position, and in the rest position the operative end 811 of the pawl 81 being separated from the ratchet wheel 33, while in the working position it is engaged with the ratchet wheel 33. The locking device 8 further comprises an actuating element n and a return element, wherein the actuating element rotates the pawl 81 from the rest position to the working position and the return element returns the pawl 81 from the working position to the rest position. The ratchet wheel 33 and the operative end 811 of the pawl are configured to engage the operative end 811 with the ratchet wheel 33 in the working position to prevent the ratchet wheel 33 from rotating in the second direction opposite to the first direction and to prevent the pawl 81 from returning to the rest position.
[0050] In some embodiments, the locking device housing 89 comprises a first cavity 891 for receiving the actuating element and a second cavity 890 for receiving the rotary shaft 83, the pawl 81, and the return element. In some embodiments, the actuating element is the electromagnet 82. The electromagnet 82 can be substantially cylindrical and have terminals 822 for electrical connection and an extending end 821 for linear displacement 821 (see Fig. 44) include. The first cavity 891 can be configured to match the shape of the electromagnet 82; for example, the first cavity 891 can be configured as a cylindrical cavity corresponding to the cylindrical electromagnet. In alternative embodiments, the actuating element can have any other suitable structure, and the shape of the first cavity 891 can be adapted accordingly. In alternative embodiments, the actuating element can be any other component capable of driving the movement of the pawl.
[0051] In some embodiments, the first cavity 891 and the second cavity 890 are separated from each other by a partition 8971. The partition 8971 has an opening 897 that allows the executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82 to pass through it. The executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82 can move through this opening 897 and thus act on the pawl 81, which is described in detail below. As in Fig. As shown in Figure 39, the electromagnet 82 can be inserted into the first cavity 891 from the end of the first cavity 891 opposite the partition wall 8971, the shape of the first cavity 891 limiting the electromagnet 82 in a radial direction.
[0052] In some embodiments, the second cavity 890 comprises opposing walls 893 and 894, and the rotating shaft 83 is connected between the mounting holes 892 of the opposing walls 893 and 894, for example by rivets or other fasteners. The pawl 81 includes a shaft hole 810 for being placed on the rotating shaft 83. In some embodiments, washers 931 and 932 may also be provided, wherein the washers 931 and 932 are also placed on the rotating shaft 83 and are located on both sides of the pawl 81, thus positioning these washers 931 and 932 between the pawl 81 and the opposing walls 893 and 894 to axially constrain the pawl 81. In some embodiments, the locking pawl 81 includes corresponding recesses 913 for the washers 931 and 932.Washers 931 and 932, for example, can be made of suitable material such as plastic, rubber or metal.
[0053] In some embodiments, the return element is an accordion spring 843 mounted on a pin 899 extending from the opposite walls 893 and 894. In the illustrated embodiment, there are two pins 899 connected to the upper wall 893. The accordion spring 843 comprises a first end 844 connected to the first pin, a curved section 845 that is guided around the second pin, and a second end 846 that can be fitted near the operative end 811 of the pawl 81, thereby providing the return force by the elastic force of the accordion spring 843. In an alternative embodiment, the return element can also be a coil spring, a disc spring, or the like, mounted on the locking device housing and exerting an elastic force on the pawl 81.In some embodiments, the second end 846 of the accordion spring 843 is configured with a barb 8431 to limit the pawl 81 and to prevent the pawl 81 from disengaging from the second end 846 in the event of vibrations or shocks.
[0054] In some embodiments, the locking device 8 further comprises a stop pin 85 extending from one of the opposing walls 893 and 894, the stop pin 85 being configured to limit the pawl 81 when the pawl 81 is returned from the working position to the rest position under the action of the return element, for example, the accordion spring 843. In some embodiments, the stop pin 85 is encased in a buffer sleeve 851, such as a layer of rubber, to prevent the noise that occurs when the pawl 81 strikes the stop pin 85.
[0055] In some embodiments, the pawl 81 comprises an active end 819 that is in contact with the actuating element, for example, with the executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82, to receive the force that sets the pawl 81 into rotation, wherein the shaft hole 810 of the pawl 81 is located between the operative end 811 and the active end 819. To make the overall structure of the locking device 8 compact, the active end 819 is positioned closer to the shaft hole 810 than the operative end 811, thereby shortening the lever arm for the electromagnet 82, which increases the capacity requirement of the electromagnet 82 and thus its volume. In some embodiments, the active end 819 is designed with a counterweight section 818, such that the center of gravity of the pawl 81 is located near the shaft hole 810, which reduces the capacitance requirement of the electromagnet 82. In other embodiments, the operational end 811 comprises an axial extension that extends perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the pawl 81 and thereby interacts with the ratchet wheel 33. In an alternative embodiment, the operational end 811 can have a pawl, a hook, a bolt, or any other structure that can engage with the ratchet wheel 33.
[0056] As in Fig. 40 to Fig. As shown in Figure 42, the locking device 8 is first pre-assembled, including the mounting of the electromagnet 82, the pawl 81, the accordion spring 843, and the stop pin 85 in the locking device housing 89. In this case, when the executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82 extends or retracts due to a control signal, the pawl 81 rotates with the rotating shaft 83 as its center point in the plane along the aa direction, corresponding to the rotation between the rest position and the working position. After installation, the rotation range of the pawl 81 is limited by the stop pin 85 and the pawl wheel 33.
[0057] The pre-assembled locking device 8 is installed in the main housing 31. In some embodiments, the housing 89 of the locking device 8 may have limiting features for fitting with the main housing 31, wherein the wall 894 may, for example, include a projection 895 that is aligned and fitted with a groove 310 on a platform of the main housing 31, whereby these limiting features ensure that the locking device 8 retains its position when subjected to the reaction force of the ratchet wheel 33.Furthermore, the locking device housing 89 includes screw holes 896 for connection to screws 91 that pass through the wall of the main housing 31. In the illustrated embodiment, for example, the locking device housing 89 has screw holes 896 at two corners of one end, where the actuating element is located, which are aligned with the openings 319 of the main housing 31. The screw 91 passes through this opening 319 and is connected to the screw hole 896 of the locking device housing 89. The limiting features and the screw connection work together to secure the locking device 8 in the main housing 31. In an alternative embodiment, the locking device 8 can also be fastened in the main housing 31 in another suitable manner, for example by a snap connection, a combination of fasteners, or adhesive and limiting elements.
[0058] Out of Fig. 41 and Fig. As can be seen in Figure 43, the adapter 41 is also mounted in the main housing 31, the adapter 41 comprising a socket 610, the socket 610 being exposed on the end face of the main housing 31 facing the electronic control unit 4 in order to establish a connection to the adapter during the mounting of the electronic control unit 4. Furthermore, the adapter comprises several terminals 611 and 612, one part 611 of the several terminals being used for connection to the actuating mechanism of the locking device 8, and another part 612 of the several terminals being connected to the brake motor 1. The actuating element, such as the electromagnet 82, comprises a terminal 822 connected to the adapter, the terminal 822 being able to be located at the rear end of the electromagnet 82 opposite the executing end 821. In the Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 43, the terminals 822 of the electromagnet 82 are aligned with the end cover 39 of the main housing during assembly in the main housing 31, and the wires between the terminals 822 of the electromagnet and the terminals 611 of the adapter 41 can be welded together. As shown in Fig. 44 and Fig. As shown in Figure 45, in an alternative embodiment the terminals 822 of the electromagnet 82 can also be arranged at the same end as the active end 821, and when mounted in the main housing 31 the terminals 822 of the electromagnet 82 are aligned with the adapter 41.
[0059] The electronic braking device according to the exemplary embodiment can operate as follows: During normal driving operation, the electronic control unit 4 controls the brake motor 1 based on the stroke or input force of the brake pedal to rotate the main shaft 301 in a first direction, thereby generating a braking torque in the brake module 5 that corresponds to the stroke of the brake pedal or the input force, whereby the pawl 81 of the locking device is always held in the rest position by the return element during this process. When a parking brake signal is received during the operating state of the parking brake (for example, by the handbrake or electronic parking brake), the electronic control unit 4 controls the brake motor 1 to rotate the main shaft 301 in a first direction and thereby cause the brake module 5 to generate a predetermined braking torque, so that the brake caliper clamps the brake disc 95.The electronic control unit 4 then controls the actuating element to rotate the pawl 81 from the rest position to the working position, as indicated by the arrow a in . Fig. 45 is shown, wherein the operative end 811 of the pawl 81 does not need to be aligned with the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33, then the brake motor 1 is controlled to rotate slightly in the opposite direction (for example, the position of one tooth), so that the operative end 811 of the pawl moves into the working position to engage with the locking teeth 331 of the ratchet wheel 33 (by snapping into the gap 330 between the locking teeth 331), at this time the electromagnet 82 and the brake motor 1 can be de-energized. Since the operative end 811 of the pawl and the pawl wheel 33 are configured in the working position for the operative end 811 to interact with the pawl wheel 33 in order to prevent the pawl wheel 33 from rotating in a second direction opposite to the first, it is also prevented that the pawl 81 rotates into the rest position. Therefore, the brake module 5 can maintain the braking torque even when the power supply to the electromagnet 82 and the brake motor 1 is switched off. This means that the electromagnet 82 does not need to remain permanently energized when the parking brake is engaged, thus reducing the risk of damage to the electromagnet 82 from prolonged operation. When the vehicle is restarted, the electronic control unit 4 causes the brake motor 1 to rotate the main shaft 301 slightly in the first direction. This causes the ratchet wheel 33 to rotate in the first direction due to the design of the ratchet teeth 331, releasing the pawl 81. The return element then returns the pawl 81 to its rest position until the next parking brake application.
[0060] Above, an electromechanical brake according to the various embodiments of the present invention has been described. In the design of the locking device in each of the above-mentioned embodiments, the size is an important factor, as discussed above in conjunction with… Fig. As described in Figure 1, the size of the locking device implementing the parking brake function must be as small as possible due to the limited installation space of the electromechanical brake itself. The design of the locking device's pawl is particularly important, as it is closely related to the size of the electromagnet. On the one hand, it is desirable that the displacement of the executing end 821 of the electromagnet 82 be as small as possible, while at the same time ensuring sufficient displacement of the operative end. Therefore, in some embodiments, as in Figure 1, the size of the locking device implementing the parking brake function must be as small as possible. Fig. Figure 14 shows the locking device configured such that the distance of movement c of the operative end 811 of the pawl 81 during the movement of the pawl 81 from the rest position to the working position is more than three times the distance of movement d of the active end 819 of the pawl 81. In some embodiments, the distance of movement c of the operative end 811 of the pawl 81 is more than five times the distance of movement d of the active end 819 of the pawl 81; for example, c is about 0.8 mm, while d is more than 4.5 mm. In the embodiment shown in Fig.In the embodiment shown in Figure 8, the active end 819 and the operative end 811 are located on the same side of the shaft hole 810, whereas in other embodiments, the active end 819 and the operative end 811 are located on opposite sides of the shaft hole 810. The ratio of the aforementioned displacements can be achieved by positioning the active end 819 close to the axis of rotation, i.e., the shaft hole 810. The smaller displacement of the active end 819 corresponds to a smaller displacement of the electromagnet 82 and smaller dimensions.
[0061] In some embodiments, the pawl 81 further comprises a counterweight section 818 located on the second side of the shaft hole 810 opposite the first side, such that the center of gravity of the pawl 81 is close to the shaft hole 810. In some embodiments, the distance between the center of gravity of the pawl 81 and the shaft hole 810 is less than 1 cm. When the center of gravity of the pawl 81 is close to the pivot point, the pawl 81 can rotate with a lower actuating force, and to reduce displacement, the active end 819 is located closer to the pivot point, resulting in a smaller actuating torque. The addition of the counterweight section 818 enables such a small torque to ensure the rotation of the pawl 81.The counterweight section 818 can be realized in various ways, but to avoid significantly increasing the volume, the material can be changed, for example by choosing a heavier metal, or an extension can be designed along the axial direction to increase the weight. To avoid significantly increasing the volume, the maximum distance of the operative end 811 to the rotating shaft 83 is more than three times the maximum distance of the counterweight section 818 to the rotating shaft 83, for example, more than five times. Therefore, the counterweight section has a small radial size, and the weight is achieved primarily through the extension along the axial direction. In the third and fourth embodiments, the counterweight section 818 is arranged at the active end 819 and extends axially from it in both directions, such that the active end 819 has a greater thickness than the operative end. In the second embodiment, the pawl 81 comprises a first arm 812 extending from the shaft hole 810, a second arm 813, and a third arm 814, wherein the ends of the first arm 812, the second arm 813, and the third arm 814 are configured as the operative end 811, the active end 819, and the counterweight section 818, respectively. In the various embodiments, the operative end 811, the active end 819, and / or the counterweight section 818 have an axial extension.
[0062] Furthermore, the locking device 8 can be pre-assembled separately for the various embodiments, whereby either the end cover 39 can be used as a carrier for the individual parts, or, as shown in the fourth embodiment, a separate locking device housing 89 can serve as a carrier for the individual parts. This arrangement allows the locking device 8 to be pre-assembled in separate production lines and easily installed in or assembled with the main housing, which is manufactured in another production line, thus avoiding the problem of an excessively long production line.
[0063] The electromechanical brake according to the present application has a compact design, so that the actuating element of the locking device does not need to be supplied with power during parking brake application, thus preventing failure due to prolonged power supply. Furthermore, the special design of the locking pawl reduces the requirements for the power and dimensions of the electromagnet.
[0064] The specific embodiments described above in this application serve only to further illustrate the principles of this application, with the individual components being clearly depicted or described to make the principles of the present invention easier to understand. Persons skilled in the field may make various modifications or changes without altering the scope of protection of the present application. It should therefore be assumed that these modifications or changes are included in the scope of protection of the present application.
