[1] Light source for mounting in a luminaire (12), wherein the light source (4) has at least one mounting base (6, 15) for placing on at least one mounting platform (2) of the luminaire (12), so that by sliding the at least one mounting base (6, 15) of the light source (4) onto the at least one mounting platform (2) of the luminaire (12), the at least one fastening base (6, 15) can be brought into a position in which at least one fastening element (13) of the luminaire (12) at least partially overlaps the at least one fastening base (6, 15) of the light source (4), so that the light source (4) is fastened to the luminaire (12) by the at least one fastening element (3) of the luminaire (12). [2] Light source according to claim 1, wherein the at least one mounting base (6, 15) has at least one passage (10) for the at least one fastening element (3) of the luminaire (12), which passage enables the placement of the at least one mounting base (6, 15) on the at least one platform (2) of the luminaire (12).
