Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a glue stick container whose interior is filled with adhesive, a glue stick having a container whose interior is filled with adhesive, and a refill to be used for the glue stick. BACKGROUND OF THE STATE OF THE ART

[0002] A glue stick having a cylindrical adhesive-filled portion whose interior is filled with adhesive and a circular adhesive discharge port formed at the upper portion of the adhesive-filled portion for discharging the adhesive to the outside is known as such.

[0003] For example, when applying the adhesive to an edge of a square paper with such a glue stick, it is difficult to apply the adhesive to a corner portion of the paper.

[0004] As a method for overcoming this problem, it is possible to prepare another paper or the like, which is placed under the paper to which the adhesive is applied, so that the other paper or the like protrudes outward from the edge of the paper, and to apply the adhesive so that the adhesive overflows the edge of the paper to which the adhesive is applied. However, since it is necessary to prepare the other paper besides the actual paper to which the adhesive is applied, or the adhesive overflows from the paper to which the adhesive is applied, this constitutes a waste.

[0005] Incidentally, as another method for facilitating the application of adhesive to a square paper, a glue stick has been developed that has an adhesive-filled portion having a square tube shape whose interior is filled with adhesive, and a square adhesive discharge port on its upper side through which the prismatic adhesive is extruded. In such a glue stick, a cover for covering the upper side of the adhesive-filled portion and a cover-fixing tube to which the cover is fitted each have a square tube shape. One problem is that such a glue stick is less airtight than a conventional one having a cylindrical cover and a cylindrical cover-fixing tube.Specifically, although the corners of the square tube cover and the corners of the cover fixing tube are brought into close contact and tightly fitted, other side parts except the corners are not in close contact and tightly fitted, making it difficult to maintain high overall airtightness. Loss of airtightness causes malfunctions, such as premature drying of the adhesive in the adhesive-filled portion, which pushes forward the time limit for adhesive application, and premature drying of the adhesive at the contact surfaces between the cover fixing tube and the cover, hindering the attachment and detachment of the cover. RELATED DOCUMENTS OF THE PRIOR ART PATENT DOCUMENTS Patent Document 1: Unexamined Japanese Patent Application JP 2003-054194 Patentdokument 2: US 5 411 345 A

[0006] US 5,411,345 A discloses a glue stick. This glue stick has a cylindrical bottle as a container body, which has an adhesive filling space to be filled with adhesive and a non-circular adhesive outlet opening on its top. The glue stick also has a valve mechanism that allows adhesive to be discharged from the adhesive filling space to a wick. A removable cap is placed on a container body to protect the wick. The glue stick further has a space and notches for allowing air to escape. The space is located between the wick and an opening portion of the container body. The opening portion of the container body is arranged around the wick at the lower part of the wick. An upper portion of the container body has an outer surface against which the cap abuts when the cap is placed on the container body.Adjacent to this upper section, the container body has a threaded section where the cap sits when the cap is placed on the container body. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0007] It is an object of the present invention to provide a glue stick container, a glue stick with the container whose interior is filled with glue, and a refill to be used for the glue stick, which have high airtightness and excellent design flexibility with respect to the shape of an adhesive outlet port. SOLVING THE PROBLEMS

[0008] This object is achieved by a glue stick container having the features of claim 1. A glue stick is disclosed in claim 11. A refill is disclosed in claim 13. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0009] It should be noted that the term "circular" refers to a concept that includes a perfect circle consisting of points equally spaced from the center and shapes with a distortion or deviation consisting of points that are not exactly equally spaced from the center, such as an ellipse, which is close to a perfect circle.

[0010] As a preferable mode of the container body, there can be shown such a structure that the container body has an adhesive-filled portion having an adhesive discharge port at the upper side opening, and a body integrally provided with the adhesive-filled portion and having a gripping portion held by a user.

[0011] As another preferable mode of the container body, there may be mentioned such a structure that the container body has an adhesive-filled portion having the adhesive discharge port on the upper side and a body enclosing the adhesive-filled portion and having a gripping portion held by a user, the adhesive-filled portion being detachable from the body.

[0012] It is preferred that the adhesive outlet opening is located above an upper portion of the cover fixing tube.

[0013] As a preferred mode, a structure in which the adhesive discharge opening has a polygonal shape can be cited. Note that the term "polygonal" refers to a concept that encompasses shapes in which end portions of segments forming sides are smoothly continuous with each other. In other words, corners of the adhesive discharge opening can be rounded to such an extent that the adhesive does not remain behind the corners.

[0014] As a preferred mode of the cover fixing tube, a structure can be proposed in which the cover fixing tube has a rib for maintaining airtightness, which is provided along the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube and forms the engaging portion. Note that "the entire circumference" allows for any shape that can maintain airtightness, including a partially notched rib.

[0015] As a concrete example of the cover fixing tube, there can be shown such a structure that the cover fixing tube has a rib for maintaining airtightness, the rib also serving as a locking means for the cover to be locked to a closed position.

[0016] As another concrete example of the cover fixing tube, a structure can be shown in which the cover fixing tube has the rib for maintaining airtightness and a protrusion provided separately from the rib, which serves as a locking means for locking the cover to a closed position. For example, a relatively short protrusion or a relatively long edge formed continuously is suitable for the protrusion.

[0017] As another preferable mode of the cover fixing tube, there can be pointed out such a structure that the cover fixing tube has a surface for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube, the surface constituting the engaging portion.

[0018] It is preferable that the gap is filled with a material different from a material of the cover fixing tube in a manner that makes it difficult to affect the roundness of the engaging portion.

[0019] Furthermore, a glue stick according to claim 11 is characterized in that glue fills the glue filling portion (glue-filling portion or glue-filled portion) of the container according to any one of claims 1 to 10.

[0020] Preferably, the container has an adhesive pushing mechanism for gradually discharging the adhesive through the adhesive outlet opening.

[0021] Furthermore, the refill according to claim 13 is characterized in that the refill is to be used for such a glue stick in which glue fills the glue filling portion of the container according to claim 3, wherein the refill is constructed such that the glue outlet opening of the glue filling portion filled with glue is sealed in an openable manner, wherein the refill is attachable to and detachable from the body.

[0022] As a specific mode of refilling, there may be listed such a structure in which the adhesive discharge port is sealed with an airtight sheet or a refill cover, the refill being attachable to and detachable from the body in a state where the airtight sheet or the refill cover is removed.

[0023] As another specific mode of refilling, there may be mentioned such a structure in which the adhesive discharge port is sealed with the cover, and the refill is attachable to and detachable from the body. EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0024] The present invention constructed as described above is capable of providing a glue stick container, a glue stick with the container whose interior is filled with glue, and a refill to be used for the glue stick, which have high airtightness and excellent design flexibility with respect to the shape of an adhesive discharge port. [0025] The first embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to the Fig. 1 to 7 described.

[0026] A glue stick 1 according to this embodiment is constructed such that adhesive 3 fills the interior of a container 2.

[0027] As this is the case in the Fig. 1 to 7, the container 2 comprises: a container body 4 having an adhesive filling space (adhesive-filled space or adhesive-to-be-filled space) 41 that is filled with the adhesive 3 and a non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its upper side 441 for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside; an opening / closing mechanism 5 that can be in either a closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 with the outside is blocked in an airtight manner; or an open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 is capable of being discharged to the outside; and an adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42.

[0028] As this is the case in the Fig. 1 to 7, the container body 4 has an adhesive filling portion 43 having the adhesive outlet opening 42 on the upper side, and a body 44 integrally provided with the adhesive filling portion 43 and having a gripping portion 446 held by a user.

[0029] As this is the case in the Fig. As shown in Figures 2 to 7, the adhesive filling portion 43 has an inner surface 431 formed into a square tubular shape and integrally molded from synthetic resin together with the body 44. More specifically, the adhesive filling portion 43 is integrally formed with an inner periphery of the body 44, with only its upper tubular portion 432 formed into the square tubular shape projecting further than the upper surface 441 of the body 44.

[0030] As this is the case in the Fig. 1 to 7, the body 44 integrally encloses another portion of the adhesive filling portion 43 except the upper tubular portion 432, and an upper extension portion 442 of the body 44 extends in a dividing manner from the upper tubular portion 432 of the adhesive filling portion 43. Furthermore, a bottom end of the body 44 is closed by a bottom wall 443, and a support hole 444 relative to the adhesive pressing mechanism 6 is drilled in a central portion of the bottom wall 443. A distance L1 between an outer surface 445 of the body 44 and the inner surface 431 of the adhesive filling portion 43 is made approximately equal over the entire circumference, and the engaging portion 446 is provided on the outer surface 445 formed into a quadrangular tubular shape of the body 44.

[0031] As this is the case in the Fig. 1 to 6, the opening / closing mechanism 5 includes a cover fixing tube 51 provided on the container body 4 and having a perfectly circular engaging portion 511 on its outer side, and a detachable cover 52 fitted over the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0032] As this is the case in the Fig. 2 to 6, the cover fixing tube 51, which is specially molded from synthetic resin using a mold, is integrally formed with the top 441 of the upper extension portion 442 of the body 44. An inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 faces the upper tubular portion 432 of the container body 4 via gaps 513 open toward the top. The cover fixing tube 51 is shaped like a thin cylinder capable of elastically deforming in the radial direction and circumscribing the upper tubular portion 432 of the adhesive filling portion 43. In other words, the cover fixing tube 51 and the adhesive filling portion 43 are connected at only four corner portions 514 of the adhesive filling portion 43. Thus, the gaps 513 are respectively divided by the corner portions 514.The cover fixing tube 51 has a rib 515 with a semicircular cross section for maintaining airtightness, provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube 51, which rib 515 forms the engaging portion 511. In this embodiment, the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness is also a rib 516 serving as a locking means for locking the cover 52 toward the closed position (C). The rib 515 for maintaining airtightness is formed on the outer periphery of the upper portion of the cover fixing tube 51, and the cover fixing tube 51 is designed to be as short as possible. The adhesive discharge port 42 is located in front of a top 517 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0033] As this is the case in the Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 5 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 6, the cover 52 has a peripheral wall 521 formed into a cylindrical shape and a closing wall 512 closing an upper end of the peripheral wall 521, the peripheral wall 521 being configured to be capable of being fitted over the outer periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 and being detachable. The cover 52 is integrally molded from synthetic resin, with an inner rib 524 integral with an inner surface 523 thereof. The inner rib 524 has a semicircular cross section. The inner rib 524 is brought into close contact with the rib 515 and fitted thereto to maintain airtightness after climbing over the rib 515 with elastic deformation of the members. The upper part 411 of the body 44 has a contact wall 447 which comes into contact with an edge portion of the cover 52 beyond the rib 515 to maintain airtightness.

[0034] As this is the case in the Fig. 1, Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. 7, the adhesive pressing mechanism 6 has a threaded shaft 61 inserted through the bearing hole 444 of the body 44, a handle 62 for manual operation fixed to an outer end of the threaded shaft 61, and a lifter 63 screwed to the threaded shaft 61 in the adhesive filling section 43, wherein the adhesive 3 filling the adhesive filling section 43 can be pushed out through the adhesive outlet port 42 to the outside by rotating the handle 62 such that the lifter 63 is driven.

[0035] With such a structure, the body 44 can be held and the adhesive 3 can be applied to the intended papers or the like after rotating the handle 62 and exposing an upper portion of the adhesive 3 to the outside through the adhesive discharge port 42. In this situation, since the adhesive discharge port 42 has a polygonal shape, the adhesive 3 can be easily applied to a corner portion of a square paper. In particular, since the adhesive discharge port 42 is located in front of the upper portion (top) 517 of the cover attachment tube 51 according to the embodiment, high visibility of the upper end portion of the adhesive filling portion 43 is achieved, thereby constantly verifying the application area.

[0036] If it is not in use, as in the Fig. 1 and 5 to 7, the adhesive 3 filled into the adhesive filling portion 43 is sealed by the cover 52 fitted over the outer periphery of the cover fixing tube 51, whereby a change in quality due to drying can be prevented or restricted. In particular, since the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51 is formed into a perfect circle, as shown in Fig. 6, uniform close (tight) contact can be achieved over the entire circumference, thereby solving the problem that gaps generated in sections impair airtightness.

[0037] Furthermore, since the gaps 513 are provided between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the adhesive filling portion 43, the thickness of the cover fixing tube 51 can be comparatively thin and uniform over the entire circumference, and the engaging portion 511 can be formed into a perfectly perfect circle. Therefore, the airtightness can be high.

[0038] Furthermore, by forming the gaps 513, the cover fixing tube 51 becomes easy to elastically deform in the radial direction, allowing the cover 52 to be opened and closed smoothly even if the fitting strength (insertion strength) between the outer periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 and the inner periphery of the cover 52 is set higher. That is, causing a malfunction that hinders the attachment and detachment of the cover can be prevented. Therefore, in this aspect, the airtightness can be effectively high.

[0039] Furthermore, the gaps 513 can be spaces that accommodate the residues of the adhesive adhering to the outer periphery of the adhesive filling portion 43 by providing the gaps 513. Consequently, the problem that the adhesive adheres to the contact areas between the adhesive filling portion 43 or the body 44 and the cover 52 deteriorates the airtightness or hinders the attachment and detachment of the cover 52 can be prevented.

[0040] According to the embodiment, airtightness can be improved, and furthermore, excellent design flexibility can be achieved with respect to the shape of the adhesive discharge port 42. Therefore, both the problem of drying the adhesive 3 and the problem of difficulty in applying the adhesive 3 to a corner portion of a paper can be solved at once.

[0041] According to the embodiment, the container body 4 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 having the adhesive discharge port 42 at the top, and the body 44 integrally formed with the adhesive filling portion 43, and has the gripping portion 446 held by the user, making the assembly of the container body 4 simple and easy. Furthermore, although the adhesive filling portion 43 and the body 44 are integrally formed, the presence of the gaps 513 prevents a decrease in roundness, thereby maintaining airtightness.

[0042] Since the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference and constituting the engaging portion 511, and further, the inner rib 524 provided on the inner surface of the cover 52 fits closely to the engaging portion 511 formed on the undersurface side of the rib 515, airtightness can be highly maintained. Furthermore, according to this structure, the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness can also function as the rib 516 serving as the locking means for locking the cover 52 to the closed position (C). Consequently, the structure can be simplified, and a preferable use feeling can be obtained. Moreover, the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness is provided on the front side of the cover fixing tube 51, thus making it possible to shorten the cover fixing tube 51.Therefore, it is easy to obtain high visibility of the upper end portion of the adhesive filling portion 43, whereby the adhesive 3 can be accurately applied to paper or the like.

[0043] The glue stick 1 using the container 2 described above facilitates the application of the adhesive 3 and can effectively prevent or limit the drying of the adhesive 3. Second embodiment (Figures 8 and 9)

[0044] As this is the case in the Fig. 8 and Fig. 9, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 comprises the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with the adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 at its upper portion for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, and the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which the communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 with the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42.

[0045] As this is the case in the Fig. 8 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 9, the container body 4 has the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive outlet opening 42 at the top and the body 44 that closes the adhesive filling portion 43, and has the gripping portion 446 held by the user, with the adhesive filling portion 43 being provided to be detachable from the body 44. A refill 47 applicable to the glue stick 1, which will be described below, is configured to fill the adhesive filling portion 43 of the container 2 with the adhesive 3.

[0046] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 8, the opening / closing mechanism 5 is constructed in the same manner as the first embodiment. The elements equivalent to those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted. The cover fixing tube 51 of the opening / closing mechanism 5 is similarly formed into a perfect circular shape, but the cover fixing tube 51 is provided separately from the adhesive filling portion 43.

[0047] As this is the case in the Fig. 8 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 9, the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 has the threaded shaft 61 inserted through the bearing hole (not shown) of the body 44, whereby the adhesive 3 filled in the adhesive filling portion 43 can be pushed out to the outside through the adhesive discharge port 42 by rotating the handle 62 so as to drive the elevator 63. The threaded shaft 61 according to this embodiment includes a threaded shaft main body 611 arranged in the refill 7 described below, a handle shaft 612 inserted through the bearing hole in the body 44, and a coupling 613 for coupling the handle shaft 612 to the threaded shaft main body 611 in a detachable manner. An outer end of the handle shaft 612 is integral with the handle 62.The coupling 613 includes an outer member 614 recessed on the bottom end surface of the threaded shaft main body 611 and having internal teeth 615 on its inner periphery, and an inner member 616 provided on the handle shaft 612 and having external teeth 617 that releasably engage with the internal teeth 615 of the outer member 614. A turning operation force applied by the handle 62 can be transmitted to the threaded shaft main body 611 through the coupling 613. The handle 62 and the lifting device 63 are constructed in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and the elements equivalent to those of the first embodiment have the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted.

[0048] As this is the case in the Fig. 8 and Fig. As shown in Fig. 9, the refill 7 is constructed such that the adhesive outlet port 42 of the adhesive filling portion 43 filled with adhesive 3 is sealed in an openable manner, and the refill 7 is attachable to and detachable from the body 44. More specifically, the refill 7 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 formed into a square tubular shape and constituting a refill case, the lifter 63 slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion 43, the threaded shaft main body 611 screwed to the lifter 63, the adhesive 3 filling the adhesive filling portion 43 and surrounding the threaded shaft main body 611, and an airtight sheet 72 airtightly attached to the adhesive outlet port 42. The adhesive outlet opening 42 formed on the top of the adhesive filling section 43 has a quadrangular shape.

[0049] An elastic engagement portion 73 for stably holding the refill 7 in the body 44 is provided between an outer periphery of a bottom end portion of the refill 7 and an inner periphery of a bottom end portion of the body 44. The elastic engagement portion 73 includes a plurality of claws 731 protruding from the outer periphery of the bottom end portion of the refill 7 and unillustrated step portions formed on the inner periphery of the bottom end portion of the body 44. When the refill 7 is inserted into the body, the claws 731 elastically engage with the step portions so that the refill 7 is stably held in the body 44. An unillustrated through-hole is drilled in a central axis portion of the handle shaft 612, and a push rod 8 for removing the refill is inserted into the through-hole.An actuating flange 81, which is to be pressed when removing the refill 7, is provided at an outer end of the push rod 8.

[0050] When the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51, which is not shown, are formed between the outer periphery of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 provided integrally with the body 44.

[0051] With such a structure, the glue stick 1 can be divided into the replaceable refill 7 and other reusable parts for when the adhesive is used up, thus reducing the number of disposable parts and contributing to reducing environmental pollution. That is, in a situation where the adhesive 3 is used up, release from the elastic engagement in the elastic engagement portion 73 is achieved by pressing the actuating flange 81 so that the refill 7 can be pulled out of the body 44 and discarded (disposed of).Thereby, when the new refill 7 is inserted into the body 44, the outer member 614 provided on the threaded shaft main body 611 in the refill 7 engages with the inner member 616 provided on the handle shaft 612, and incidentally, the claws 731 provided on the outer periphery of the refill 7 engage with the shoulder portions provided on the inner periphery of the body 44, as a result of which the assembly of the refill 7 is completed.

[0052] The refill 7 according to this embodiment is constructed such that the adhesive outlet port 42 is sealed with the airtight sheet 72, and is attachable to and detachable from the body 44 in a state where the airtight sheet 72 is removed. The glue stick 1 is reused as a new glue stick by peeling off the airtight sheet 72 from the refill 7 inserted into the body 44 as described above.

[0053] Furthermore, the container body 4 according to the embodiment has the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive outlet opening 42 at the top, and the body 44 enclosing the adhesive filling portion 43 and having the gripping portion 446 held by the user. Incidentally, the adhesive filling portion 43 is detachable from the body 44. The refill 7 can be formed by filling the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive 3 and sealing the adhesive outlet opening 42 with the airtight sheet 72.

[0054] Moreover, with such a structure, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4, in other words, between the inner surface 512 of the cylindrical cover fixing tube 51 provided on the body 44 and the outer surface 435 of the square tubular adhesive filling portion 43 provided on the refill 7. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of use and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0055] Since the adhesive outlet port 42 is located in front of the top (upper portion) 517 of the cover fixing tube 51 when the adhesive filling portion 43 of the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, high visibility of the upper end portion of the adhesive filling portion 43 is obtained. Third embodiment (Fig. 10)

[0056] The glue stick 1 according to the third embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to Fig. 10 described.

[0057] As this is Fig. 10, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which the communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the refill 7 differs from the second embodiment described above.

[0058] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 10, the refill 7 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 formed into a quadrangular tubular shape and constituting a refill case, the lifter 63 slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion 43, the threaded shaft main body 611 screwed to the lifter 63, the adhesive 3 inserted into the adhesive filling portion 43 and surrounding the threaded shaft main body 611, and a refill opening / closing mechanism 74 that can be in either the closed state (C) in which the communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the adhesive filling portion 43 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside. The elements equivalent to those of the second embodiment bear the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted.

[0059] As this is Fig. 10, the refill opening / closing mechanism 74 includes a refill cover fixing tube 75 provided on the adhesive filling portion 43 and having a perfect circular engaging portion 751 on its outer side, and a detachable (removable) refill cover 76 fitted over the engaging portion 751 of the refill cover fixing tube 75.

[0060] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 10, the refill cap fixing tube 75, which is specifically molded from synthetic resin using a mold, is integrally formed with an upper part of the upper extension portion 433 of the adhesive filling portion 43. An inner surface of the refill cap fixing tube 75 faces the outer periphery of the adhesive filling portion 43 via gaps 753 open toward the upper side. The refill cap fixing tube 75 is like a thin cylinder capable of elastic deformation in the radial direction and circumscribes the upper tubular portion 432 of the adhesive filling portion 43. In other words, the refill cap fixing tube 75 and the adhesive filling portion 43 are connected at only four corner portions 754 of the adhesive filling portion 43. Thus, the gaps 753 are respectively divided by the corner portions 754.The refill cover fixing tube 75 has a rib 755 with a semicircular cross section for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference of the refill cover fixing tube 75, the rib 755 constituting the engaging portion 751. In this embodiment, the rib 755 for maintaining airtightness is also a rib 756 serving as a locking means for locking the cover 52 to the closed position (C). The adhesive discharge port 42 is disposed in front of an upper portion 757 of the refill cover fixing tube 75.

[0061] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 10, the refill cover 76 has a peripheral wall 761 formed into a cylindrical shape and a closing wall 762 closing an upper end of the peripheral wall 761, the peripheral wall 761 being configured to be fitted over the outer periphery of the refill cover fixing tube 75 and to be detachable (removable). The refill cover 76 is integrally molded from synthetic resin, and an inner rib 764 is formed integrally with an inner surface 763 thereof. The inner rib 764 has a semicircular cross section, and the inner rib 764 is brought into close contact with the airtightness-maintaining rib 755 and fitted thereon after climbing over the rib 755 with elastic deformation of the members. The adhesive filling portion 43 has a contact wall 434 that comes into contact with an edge portion of the refill cover 76 to beyond the rib 755 for maintaining airtightness.

[0062] When the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51, which is not shown, are formed between the outer periphery of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 provided integrally with the body 44.

[0063] By constructing the glue stick 1 in this way, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced, contributing to a reduction in environmental pollution in the same way as in the second embodiment. That is, in a situation where the adhesive 3 is used up, release from the elastic engagement in the elastic engagement portion 73 is achieved by pressing the actuating flange 81 so that the refill 7 can be pulled out of the body 44 and disposed of.

[0064] The refill 7 according to this embodiment is configured such that the adhesive outlet port 42 is sealed by the refill cover 76, and is attachable to and detachable from the body 44 in a state where the refill cover 76 is removed. The glue stick 1 becomes reusable as a new glue stick by removing the refill cover 76 of the refill 7, which is set in the body 44 as described above. The refill cover 76 removed from the adhesive outlet port 42 can be discarded without reuse.

[0065] Furthermore, the container body 4 according to the embodiment has the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive outlet opening 42 at the top and the body 44 enclosing the adhesive filling portion 43 and having the gripping portion 446 held by the user. Furthermore, the adhesive filling portion 43 is detachable from the body 44. The refill 7 may be configured such that the adhesive filling portion 43 is filled with the adhesive 3 and the adhesive outlet opening 42 is sealed with the refill cover 76.

[0066] Moreover, with such a structure, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4, in other words, between the inner surface 512 of the cylindrical cover fixing tube 51 provided on the body 44 and the outer surface 435 of the square tubular adhesive filling portion 43 provided on the refill 7. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0067] Since the adhesive outlet port 42 is arranged in front of the top part 517 of the cover fixing tube 51 when the adhesive filling portion 43 of the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, high visibility of the upper end portion of the adhesive filling portion 43 is obtained.

[0068] Furthermore, with such a structure as in this embodiment, the refill 7 has the adhesive filling portion 43 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, and the refill opening / closing mechanism 74, which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the adhesive filling portion 43 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained as in the refill 7 until the refill cover 76 is removed. Fourth embodiment (Fig. 11)

[0069] Next, the glue stick 1 of the fourth embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to Fig. 11 described.

[0070] As this is Fig. 11, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the refill 7 differs from the above-described first embodiment.

[0071] As this is Fig. 11, the refill 7 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 formed into a quadrangular tubular shape and constituting a refill case, the lifter 63 inserted into the adhesive filling portion 43 in a sliding manner, the threaded shaft main body 611 screwed to the lifter 63, the adhesive 3 that fills the adhesive filling portion 43 and surrounds the threaded shaft main body 611, and the opening / closing mechanism 5 for hermetically closing the adhesive outlet port 42 of the adhesive filling portion 43. The elements equivalent to those of the second embodiment bear the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.

[0072] As this is Fig. 11, the opening / closing mechanism 5 includes a cover fixing tube 51 provided on the container body 4 and having a perfectly circular engaging portion 511 on its outer side, and the detachable (removable) cover 52 fitted over the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0073] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 11, the cover fixing tube 51, which is specifically molded from synthetic resin using a mold, is integrally formed with the top of the upper extension portion 433 of the adhesive filling portion 43. The inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 faces the outer periphery of the adhesive filling portion 43 via gaps 513 open toward the top. The cover fixing tube 51 is like a thin cylinder capable of elastically deforming in the radial direction and circumscribes the upper tubular portion 432 of the adhesive filling portion 43. In other words, the cover fixing tube 51 and the adhesive filling portion 43 are connected at only four corner portions 514 of the adhesive filling portion 43. Thus, the gaps 513 are respectively divided by the corner portions 514.The cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 512 with a semicircular cross section for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube 51, and the rib 515 forms the engaging portion 511. In this embodiment, the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness is also the rib 516 serving as the locking means for locking the cover 52 to the closed position (C). The rib 515 for maintaining airtightness is formed on the outer periphery of the upper portion of the cover fixing tube 51, and the cover fixing tube 51 is designed to be as short as possible. The adhesive discharge port 42 is located in front of the upper portion 517 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0074] As this is Fig. As shown in Figure 11, the cover 52 is constructed in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and the elements equivalent to those of the first embodiment bear the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted. The adhesive filling portion 43 has the contact wall 434 for contacting the edge portion of the cover 52 beyond the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness.

[0075] By constructing the glue stick 1 in this way, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced, contributing to a reduction in environmental pollution in the same way as in the second embodiment. Thus, in a situation where the glue 3 is used up, release from the elastic engagement in the elastic engagement portion is achieved by pressing the actuating flange 81 so that the refill 7 can be pulled out of the body 44 and disposed of.

[0076] The refill 7 according to this embodiment is constructed such that the adhesive outlet opening 42 is sealed with the cover 52 and is attachable to and detachable from the body 44. The glue stick 1 is reused as a new glue stick by inserting the refill 7 into the body 44 as described above. The cover 52 attached to the refill 7 can be used as the cover 52 of the new glue stick 1.

[0077] Furthermore, the container body 4 according to this embodiment has the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive outlet opening 42 on the upper side, and the body 44 enclosing the adhesive filling portion 43 and having the gripping portion 446 held by the user. Incidentally, the adhesive filling portion 43 is detachable from the body 44. The refill 7 can be formed by filling the adhesive filling portion 43 with adhesive 3 and sealing the adhesive outlet opening 42 with the cover 52.

[0078] Furthermore, with such a structure, the gaps 513 for enabling elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4, in other words, between the inner surface 512 of the cylindrical cover fixing tube 51 provided on the refill 7 and the outer surface 435 of the square tubular adhesive filling portion 43 provided on the refill 7. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0079] Furthermore, with such a structure as in this embodiment, the refill 7 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, and the opening / closing mechanism 5, which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the adhesive filling portion 43 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness of the refill 7 can be maintained until the cover 52 is removed. Fifth embodiment (Fig. 12)

[0080] The glue stick 1 according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to Fig. 12 described.

[0081] As this is Fig. 12, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with the adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the refill 7 is different from that of the second embodiment described above.

[0082] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 12, the container body 4 has the adhesive filling portion 43 with the adhesive outlet port 42 on the upper side, and the body 44 enclosing the adhesive filling portion 43 and having the gripping portion 446 held by the user, the adhesive filling portion 43 being provided so as to be detachable from the body 44. The refill 7 applicable to the glue stick 1, which will be described below, is configured to fill the adhesive filling portion 43 of the container 2 with the adhesive 3.

[0083] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 12, the opening / closing mechanism 5 is constructed in the same manner as the first embodiment, with the same reference numerals assigned to the elements of the first embodiment, and their descriptions omitted. The cover fixing tube 51 of the opening / closing mechanism 5 is similarly formed into a perfectly circular shape, but the cover fixing tube 51 is provided separately from the adhesive filling portion 43.

[0084] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 12, the adhesive pressing mechanism 6 includes the threaded shaft 61 inserted through the unillustrated bearing hole of the body 44, the handle 62 for manual operation fixed to the outer end of the threaded shaft 61, and the elevator 63 screwed onto the threaded shaft 61 into the adhesive filling portion 43. The adhesive 3 filled into the adhesive filling portion 43 can be pushed out to the outside through the adhesive discharge port 42 by rotating the handle 62 to drive the elevator 63. The threaded shaft 61, the handle 62, and the elevator 63 of this embodiment are constructed in the same manner as the first embodiment. The elements equivalent to those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted.

[0085] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 12, the refill 7 is constructed such that the adhesive outlet port 42 of the adhesive filling portion 43 filled with adhesive 3 is sealed in an openable manner, and the refill 7 is attachable to and detachable from the body 44. More specifically, the refill 7 includes the adhesive filling portion 43 formed into a quadrangular tubular shape and constituting a refill case, the lifter 63 slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion 43, the adhesive 3 filled into the adhesive filling portion 43, and the airtight sheet 72 attached to the adhesive outlet port 42 in an airtight manner. A bottom side of the adhesive 3 is fixed to the lifter 63. The adhesive outlet opening 42 formed on the top of the adhesive filling section 43 has a quadrangular shape.

[0086] The elastic engagement portion 73 for stably holding the refill 7 in the body 44 is provided between the outer periphery of the bottom end portion of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the bottom end portion of the body 44. The elastic engagement portion 73 is configured in the same manner as in the second embodiment, and the elements equivalent to those in the second embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted. Release from the elastic engagement of the claws 731 with the shoulder portions can be achieved with a refill disassembly part, not shown, such as the refill disassembly push rod 8 (push bar) in the second embodiment.

[0087] When the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51, which is not shown, are formed between the outer periphery of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 provided integrally with the body 44.

[0088] With such a structure of the glue stick 1, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced to contribute to a reduction of environmental pollution in the same manner as in the second embodiment.

[0089] The refill 7 according to this embodiment is constructed in the same manner as the second embodiment such that the adhesive outlet port 42 is sealed with the airtight sheet 72, and is attachable to and detachable from the body 44 in a state where the airtight sheet 72 is removed. The glue stick 1 becomes reusable as a new glue stick by peeling off the airtight sheet 72 from the refill 7 inserted into the body 44 as described above.

[0090] Moreover, with such a structure, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4, in other words, between the inner surface 512 of the cylindrical cover fixing tube 51 provided on the body 44 and the outer surface 435 of the square tubular adhesive filling portion 43 provided on the refill 7. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0091] The modes explained below, which are not shown, are available. First modification of the fifth embodiment

[0092] The glue stick container according to a modification of the fifth embodiment of the present invention includes the container body having the adhesive filling space to be filled with adhesive and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top for discharging the adhesive to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism that can be in either the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the container body to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism for gradually discharging the adhesive through the adhesive discharge port. Only the structure of the refilling is different from that of the above-described fifth embodiment.

[0093] The refiller has the adhesive filling portion formed into a quadrangular tubular shape and constitutes a refill case, the elevator slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion, the adhesive filled into the adhesive filling portion, and the refill opening / closing mechanism, which can be either in the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the adhesive filling portion to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or in the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside. The bottom end portion of the adhesive is fixed to the elevator. The description of the elements equivalent to those in the fifth embodiment is omitted.

[0094] The refill opening / closing mechanism includes the refill cover fixing tube provided at the adhesive filling portion and the perfectly circular engaging portion on its outer surface, and the detachable refill cover fitted over the engaging portion of the refill cover fixing tube. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the third embodiment is omitted.

[0095] When the refill is mounted on the body, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the outer periphery of the refill and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube provided integrally with the body.

[0096] With such a structure of the glue stick, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced to contribute to reducing the environmental load in the same way as in the second embodiment.

[0097] The refill according to this modification is constructed in the same manner as the third embodiment such that the adhesive outlet port is sealed with the refill cap, and is attachable to and detachable from the body in a state where the refill cap is removed. The glue stick becomes reusable as a new glue stick by removing the refill cap of the refill set in the body in the manner described above. The refill cap removed from the adhesive outlet port can be discarded without reuse.

[0098] Furthermore, with such a structure, the gaps for enabling elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube and the outer surface of the container body, in other words, between the inner surface of the cylindrical cover fixing tube provided on the body and the outer surface of the square tubular adhesive filling portion provided on the refill. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0099] Furthermore, with such a structure as this modification, the refiller, similar to the third embodiment, has the adhesive filling portion having the adhesive filling space to be filled with the adhesive, and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top side for discharging the adhesive to the outside, and the refill opening / closing mechanism that can be either in the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the adhesive filling portion to the outside is blocked in the airtight manner, or in the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained as in the refilling until the refill cover is removed. Second modification of the fifth embodiment

Only the structure of the refilling is different from that of the above-described fifth embodiment.

[0101] The refill includes the adhesive filling portion formed into a square tube to form a refill container, the lifter slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion, the adhesive that is filled into the adhesive filling portion, and the opening / closing mechanism for hermetically closing the adhesive outlet port of the adhesive filling portion. The bottom end portion of the adhesive is fixed to the lifter. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the fifth embodiment is omitted.

[0102] The opening / closing mechanism includes the cover fixing tube provided on the container body and having the perfectly circular engaging portion on its outer surface, and the detachable cover fitted over the engaging portion of the cover fixing tube. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the fourth embodiment is omitted.

[0103] With such a structure of the glue stick, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced to contribute to reducing the environmental load in the same way as in the second embodiment.

[0104] The refill according to this modification is constructed in the same manner as the fourth embodiment, such that the adhesive outlet opening is sealed with the cover, and the cover is attachable to and detachable from the body. The glue stick is reused as a new glue stick by inserting the refill into the body in the manner described above. The cover attached to the refill can be used as the cover of the new glue stick.

[0105] Furthermore, in this structure, the gaps for enabling elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube and the outer surface of the container body, in other words, between the inner surface of the cylindrical cover fixing tube provided on the refill and the outer surface of the square tubular adhesive filling portion provided on the refill. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0106] Furthermore, with such a structure as this modification, the refill, similar to that of the fourth embodiment, has the adhesive filling portion having the adhesive filling space to be filled with the adhesive, and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top side for discharging the adhesive to the outside, and the opening / closing mechanism that can be either in the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the adhesive filling portion to the outside is blocked in the airtight manner, or in the open state in which adhesive can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained as in the refill until the cover is removed. Sixth embodiment (Fig. 13)

[0113] The elastic engagement portion 73 for stably holding the refill 7 in the body 44 is provided between the outer periphery of the bottom end portion of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the bottom end portion of the body 44. The elastic engagement portion 73 is configured in the same manner as in the second embodiment, and the elements equivalent to those in the second embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their descriptions are omitted. Release from the elastic engagement of the claws 731 with the shoulder portions can be achieved with a refill disassembly part, not shown, such as the refill disassembly push rod (push bar) 8 in the second embodiment.

[0114] When the refill 7 is mounted on the body 44, the spaces for allowing the elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51, which is not shown, are formed between the outer periphery of the refill 7 and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 provided integrally with the body 44.

[0115] By constructing the glue stick 1 in this way, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced to contribute to reducing the environmental load in the same way as in the second embodiment.

[0116] The refill 7 according to this embodiment is constructed in the same manner as the second embodiment such that the adhesive outlet port 42 is sealed by the airtight sheet 72, and is attachable to and detachable from the body 44 in a state where the airtight sheet 72 is removed. The glue stick 1 becomes reusable as a new glue stick by pulling the airtight sheet 72 away from the refill 7, which is inserted into the body 44 in the manner described above.

[0117] Furthermore, in this structure, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface 512 of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4, in other words, between the inner surface 512 of the cylindrical cover fixing tube 51 provided on the body 44 and the outer surface 435 of the square tubular adhesive filling portion 43 provided on the refill 7. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0121] The refill opening / closing mechanism includes the refill cover fixing tube provided at the adhesive filling portion and the perfectly circular engaging portion on its outer surface, and the detachable refill cover fitted over the engaging portion of the refill cover fixing tube. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the third embodiment is omitted.

[0122] When the refill is mounted on the body, the gaps for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the outer periphery of the refill and the inner periphery of the cover fixing tube provided integrally with the body.

[0123] By constructing the glue stick in this manner, the number of parts to be disposed of is reduced to contribute to reducing the environmental impact in the same manner as in the second embodiment.

[0124] The refill according to this modification is constructed in the same manner as the third embodiment such that the adhesive outlet port is sealed with the refill cap, and is attachable to and detachable from the body in a state where the refill cap is removed. The glue stick is reused as a new glue stick by removing the refill cap of the refill set in the body as described above. The refill cap removed from the adhesive outlet port can be discarded without reuse.

[0125] Furthermore, with such a structure, the gaps for enabling elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube and the outer surface of the container body, in other words, between the inner surface of the cylindrical cover fixing tube provided on the body and the outer surface of the square tubular adhesive filling portion provided on the refill. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0126] Furthermore, with such a structure as this modification, the refiller, similar to that of the third embodiment, has the adhesive filling portion having the adhesive filling space to be filled with adhesive and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top side for discharging the adhesive to the outside, and the refill opening / closing mechanism that can be either in the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the adhesive filling portion to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or in the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained as in the refilling until the refill cover is removed. Second modification of the sixth embodiment

[0127] The glue stick container according to a further modification of the sixth embodiment of the present invention includes the container body having the adhesive filling space to be filled with adhesive and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top side for discharging the adhesive to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism that can be in either the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the container body to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism for gradually discharging the adhesive through the adhesive discharge port. Only the structure of the refilling device differs from the above-described sixth embodiment.

[0128] The refill includes the adhesive filling portion formed into a square tubular shape and constituting the refill case, the lifter slidably inserted into the adhesive filling portion, the handle for slidably operating the lifter, the threaded shaft attached to the handle, the adhesive filled into the adhesive filling portion and surrounding the threaded shaft, and the opening / closing mechanism for hermetically closing the adhesive outlet port of the adhesive filling portion. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the sixth embodiment is omitted.

[0129] The opening / closing mechanism includes the cover fixing tube provided on the container body and having the perfectly circular engaging portion on its outer surface, and the detachable cover fitted over the engaging portion of the cover fixing tube. The description of the elements equivalent to those of the fourth embodiment is omitted.

[0130] With such a structure of the glue stick, the number of parts to be thrown away (disposed of) is reduced to contribute to reducing the environmental load in the same manner as in the second embodiment.

[0131] The refill according to this modification is constructed in the same manner as the fourth embodiment, in that the adhesive outlet opening is sealed with the cover, and the cover is attachable to and detachable from the body. The glue stick is reused as a new glue stick by inserting the refill into the body as described above. The cover attached to the refill can be used as the cover of the new glue stick.

[0132] Furthermore, with such a structure, the gaps for enabling elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube and the outer surface of the container body, in other words, between the inner surface of the cylindrical cover fixing tube provided on the refill and the outer surface of the square tubular adhesive filling portion provided on the refill. Consequently, the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above.

[0133] Furthermore, with such a structure as this modification, the refiller, similar to the third embodiment, has the adhesive filling portion having the adhesive filling space to be filled with adhesive and the non-circular adhesive discharge port on its top side for discharging the adhesive to the outside, and the opening / closing mechanism that can be in either the closed state in which communication of the adhesive filling space of the adhesive filling portion to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner, or the open state in which the adhesive can be discharged to the outside. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained as in the refiller until the cover is removed. Seventh embodiment (Fig. 14)

[0134] Next, the glue stick 1 according to the seventh embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to Fig. 14 described.

[0135] As this is Fig. 14, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 according to this embodiment includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the opening / closing mechanism 5 is different from the above-described first embodiment.

[0136] As this is Fig. 14, the opening / closing mechanism 5 includes the cover fixing tube 51 provided on the container body 4 and having the perfectly circular engaging portion 511 on its outer side, and the detachable cover 42 fitted over the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0137] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 14, the cover fixing tube 51, which is specifically molded from synthetic resin (plastic) using a mold, is integrally formed with the top 441 of the upper extension portion 442 of the body 44. The inner surface of the cover fixing tube 51 faces the upper tubular portion 432 of the container body 4 via the gaps 513 open in the upward direction. Thus, the gaps 513 are respectively divided (separated) by the corner portions 514.The cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 with a semicircular cross section for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube 51, the rib 515 constituting the engaging portion 511. In this embodiment, the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness and projections 518 provided separately from the rib 515 and serving as a locking means for the cover 52 to lock to the closed position (C). The projections 518 serving as the locking means are provided at positions closer to the upper end than the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness, and the projections 518 serving as the locking means and the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness are formed on the outer periphery of the upper portion of the cover fixing tube 51.According to this embodiment, a plurality of protrusions 518 with a semicircular cross-section are arranged at intervals along the circumferential direction. The adhesive outlet opening 42 is located in front of the upper part 517 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0138] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 14, the cover 52 has the peripheral wall 521 formed into a cylindrical shape and the closing wall 522 closing the upper end of the peripheral wall 521, the peripheral wall 521 being configured to be fitted over the outer periphery of the cover fixing tube 51 and detachable. The cover 52 is integrally molded from synthetic resin, and an inner rib 525 for maintaining airtightness and an inner rib 526 serving as the locking means are integrally formed on its inner surface 523. The inner rib 525 for maintaining airtightness has a semicircular cross section. The inner rib 525 is brought into close contact with and fitted to the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness after climbing over the rib 515, whereby the members undergo elastic deformation. The inner rib 526, which serves as the locking means, is provided adjacent to the inner rib 525 for maintaining airtightness and has a semicircular cross section. The inner rib 526 is brought into close contact with and fitted to the projections 518 serving as the locking means after climbing over the projections 518, thereby elastically deforming the elements. The upper part 411 of the body 44 has the contact wall 447, which comes into contact with the edge portion of the cover 52 beyond the airtightness-maintaining rib 515.

[0139] As described above, since the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference and constituting the engaging portion 511, and further, the inner rib 525 for maintaining airtightness provided on the inner surface of the cover 52 fits tightly against the engaging portion 511 formed on the undersurface side of the rib 515, airtightness can be maintained to a high degree. Furthermore, the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness and the protrusions 518 provided separately from the rib 515, which serve as the locking means for locking the cover 52 to the closed position (C).Consequently, the cover 52 can be locked to the closed position (C) when the inner rib 526 serving as the locking means climbs over the projections 518 serving as the locking means, simultaneously with improving the airtightness by the engagement of the airtightness maintaining rib 515 with the inner rib 525 for maintaining airtightness, whereby a preferable feeling of use can be obtained.

[0140] Furthermore, in such a structure, the gaps 513 for allowing the elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4 in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and therefore, the fundamental effects of the ease of application and the airtightness are obtained.

[0141] Of course, the structure of the opening / closing mechanism 5 in this embodiment can be applied to the second to sixth embodiments described above. Furthermore, the shape and position of the protrusions 518 serving as the locking means can be variously changed. For example, a protrusion serving as a locking means may be provided at a position closer to the bottom end than the airtightness maintaining rib. Eighth embodiment (Fig. 15)

[0142] Next, a glue stick 1 according to the eighth embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to Fig. 15 described.

[0143] As this is Fig. 15, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 according to this embodiment includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the cover fixing tube 51 in the opening / closing mechanism 5 is different from the seventh embodiment described above.

[0144] As this is Fig. 15, the opening / closing mechanism 5 includes the cover fixing tube 51 provided on the container body 4 and having the perfectly circular engaging portion 511 on its outer side, and the detachable cover 52 fitted over the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0145] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 15, the cover fixing tube 51, which is specifically molded from synthetic resin using a mold, is integrally formed with the top 441 of the upper extension portion 442 of the body 44. The inner surface of the cover fixing tube 51 faces the upper tubular portion 432 of the container body 4 via the gaps 513 open in the upward direction. The cover fixing tube 51 is like a thin cylinder capable of elastic deformation in the radial direction and circumscribes the upper tubular portion 432 of the adhesive filling portion 43. In other words, the cover fixing tube 51 and the adhesive filling portion 43 are connected at only four corner portions 514 of the adhesive filling portion 43. Thus, the gaps 513 are separated by the corner portions 514.The cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 with a semicircular cross section for maintaining airtightness provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube 51, the rib 515 constituting the engaging portion 511. In this embodiment, the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness and a projection 518 provided separately from the rib 515 and serving as a locking means for locking the cover 52 to the closed position (C). The projection 518 serving as a locking means is provided at a position closer to the upper end than the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness, and the projection 518 serving as the locking means and the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness are formed on the outer periphery of the upper portion of the cover fixing tube 51.According to this embodiment, the protrusion 518 is a rib with a semicircular cross-section formed continuously along the circumferential direction. The adhesive outlet opening 42 is located in front of the upper part 517 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0146] The cover 52 has a peripheral wall 521 formed into a cylindrical shape and the closing wall 522 closing the upper end of the peripheral wall 521, wherein the elements equivalent to those of the seventh embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.

[0147] As described above, the cover fixing tube 51 has the rib 515 for maintaining airtightness and the protrusion 518 provided separately from the rib 515, which serves as a locking means for locking the cover 52 into the closed position (C). Therefore, the same effects as in the seventh embodiment can be achieved.

[0148] Furthermore, in such a structure, the gaps 513 for allowing the elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4 in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and therefore, the fundamental effects in terms of ease of application and airtightness are obtained.

[0149] Of course, the structure of the opening / closing mechanism 5 of this embodiment can be applied to the second to sixth embodiments described above. Furthermore, the shape and position of the protrusion 518 serving as the locking means can be variously changed. For example, a protrusion serving as a locking means may be provided at a position closer to the bottom end than the airtightness maintaining rib. Ninth embodiment (Fig. 16)

[0150] Next, a glue stick 1 according to the ninth embodiment of the present invention is described with reference to Fig. 16 described.

[0151] As this is Fig. 16, the container 2 of the glue stick 1 according to this embodiment includes the container body 4 having the adhesive filling space 41 to be filled with adhesive 3 and the non-circular adhesive discharge port 42 on its top side for discharging the adhesive 3 to the outside, the opening / closing mechanism 5 which can be in either the closed state (C) in which communication of the adhesive filling space 41 of the container body 4 to the outside is blocked in an airtight manner or the open state (O) in which the adhesive 3 can be discharged to the outside, and the adhesive pushing mechanism 6 for gradually discharging the adhesive 3 through the adhesive discharge port 42. Only the structure of the opening / closing mechanism 5 is different from that of the seventh embodiment described above.

[0152] As this is Fig. 16, the opening / closing mechanism 5 includes the cover fixing tube 51 provided on the container body 4 and having the perfectly circular engaging portion 511 on its outer side, and the detachable cover 52 fitted over the engaging portion 511 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0153] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 16, the cover fixing tube 51, which is specifically molded from synthetic resin using a mold, is integrally formed with the top 441 of the upper extension portion 442 of the body 44. Thus, the gaps 513 are separated by the corner portions 514.The cover fixing tube 51 has an airtightness maintaining surface 515 provided on the entire circumference of the cover fixing tube 51, and the surface 519 forms the engagement portion 511. The airtightness maintaining surface 519 is formed on the outer periphery of the upper portion of the cover fixing tube 51, and the cover fixing tube 51 is designed to be as short as possible. The adhesive outlet port 42 is located in front of a top portion 517 of the cover fixing tube 51.

[0154] As this is Fig. As shown in Fig. 16, the cover 52 has the peripheral wall 521 formed into a cylindrical shape and the closing wall 522 closing the upper end of the peripheral wall 521. The peripheral wall 521 is configured to be fitted and detachable over the outer periphery of the cover fixing tube 51. The cover 52 is integrally molded from synthetic resin, and its inner surface 523 is configured to be brought into close contact with and fitted against the airtightness maintaining surface 519.

[0155] As described above, the cover fixing tube 51 has the surface 519 for maintaining airtightness around its entire circumference, and the surface 519 forms the engaging portion 511. Therefore, airtightness can be highly maintained. Furthermore, with such a structure, the gaps 513 for allowing elastic deformation of the cover fixing tube 51 are formed between the inner surface of the cover fixing tube 51 and the outer surface 435 of the container body 4 in the same manner as in the first embodiment, thereby achieving the fundamental effects of ease of application and airtightness.

[0156] Of course, the structure of the opening / closing mechanism 5 of this embodiment can be applied to the second to sixth embodiments described above.

[0157] The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above.

[0158] For example, the shape of the adhesive outlet opening can be a regular triangle, as shown in Fig. 17 is a regular hexagon, as shown in Fig. 18, a rectangle or other polygon not shown, except for a quadrilateral (square) in plan view. Furthermore, the adhesive discharge port having a shape with at least one corner portion can solve the problem regarding the ease of application as described above. Therefore, a sector can be cited as a good example of the shape of the adhesive discharge port. Furthermore, as shown in Fig. 19, the corners can be rounded to such an extent that the adhesive does not remain behind them, whereby an ellipse or other shape not shown is available. With such a structure, the gaps are provided in the same way as in the first embodiment, whereby the basic effects regarding ease of application and airtightness are achieved. Fig. 17, Fig. 18 and Fig. 19, the elements equivalent to those of the above-explained embodiments have been given the same reference numerals, and their description is omitted.

[0159] Although the outer shape of the engaging portion of the cover fixing tube is a perfect circle in the above-described embodiments, its outer shape is variable as long as the cover can come into uniform, close contact with the cover fixing tube over the entire circumference. Of course, it can be an ellipse, which is close to a perfect circle, or a round shape other than a perfect circle.

[0160] Although the above-described gaps are spaces filled with air, the gaps may be filled with a material different from the material of the cover fixing tube in such a way that it is difficult to influence the roundness of the engaging portion. The method for filling the gaps with the material different from the material of the cover fixing tube is variable as long as it is difficult to cause deformation of the cover fixing tube due to mold shrinkage, called sink marks. For example, inserting the material into the gaps separately after molding the gaps, molding the cover fixing and the material integrally by so-called two-color molding, or the like are available.

[0161] Of course, the airtight sheet or refill cover does not need to be removed after installing the refill on the body; it can be removed before installing the refill on the body.

[0162] The structure may be modified in various ways without departing from the scope of the present invention.
