Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present application relates to the technical field of terminals and, in particular, to a method for temperature compensation of a SAR sensor of a terminal and to a terminal. State of the art

[0002] SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) refers to the absorption rate of the fundamental electromagnetic wave of a mobile phone or wireless device. It is defined as the inductive electromagnetic field that is generated within the human body under the influence of an external electromagnetic field. The "SAR" value is used by the international scientific community to quantify and evaluate mobile phone radiation. With the development of mobile communications, portable mobile devices are playing an increasingly important role in daily life, and people are using mobile devices more and more frequently, with increasing usage time, such as mobile phones and tablets.

[0003] Currently, a temperature compensation mechanism is implemented in all SAR sensors in the mobile terminal to achieve a more accurate decision-making mechanism. However, problems still arise such as inaccuracy in temperature compensation leading to SAR sensor misfires; in cases of rapid temperature changes, some SAR sensors may be misfired, and such as Fig. Figure 1 shows an application scenario with faster temperature change: because the parasitic capacitance is the smallest within the period from t0 to t1, it can be detected that a person is moving away from it within the period from t0 to t1; at time t1, it is detected that a person is approaching because the change in parasitic capacitance exceeds a predetermined threshold; and the temperature of the wearable terminal reaches approximately 37°C after being held by the hand for a long time from t1 to t2, and then the hand leaves the terminal at time t2, and the system detects that a person is moving away from it; but because the temperature detection compensation mechanism of the SAR sensor cannot track the temperature change, the system only detects that a person is moving away from it at time t3; in fact, the system's decision from t2 to t3 is a false trigger.

[0004] Therefore, in some applications with rapid temperature changes, the urgent technical problem arises of how to prevent the terminal's SAR sensor from being falsely triggered.

[0005] US 9 871 545 B2 discloses an electronic device with the ability to distinguish between human tissue and non-human objects in the vicinity of a transmitting source. In this way, the transmitting power of the transmitting source can be selectively adjusted depending on whether human tissue or non-human objects are detected in the vicinity of the RF transmitter. Distinguishing between human tissue and other non-human objects in the vicinity of the transmitting source enables selective control of SAR adjustment. In this way, electronic devices can avoid some of the degradation of communication performance resulting from reducing transmit power to comply with SAR regulations by reducing transmit power when human tissue is detected nearby and not reducing transmit power when non-human objects are detected nearby (and no human tissue is present).DE 10 2005 041 050 A1 discloses a method for correcting an output signal of a radiation sensor, comprising the following steps: obtaining two or more temperature signals from a corresponding number of measurements of quantities relating to the temperature of the sensor at different times and / or at different locations, and correcting the output signal with reference to the temperature signals. It can be seen that a first trigger signal is sent to the processor when the predetermined value of the temperature change is exceeded, and that the processor sends a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor after receiving the first trigger signal, and then the SAR sensor activates a second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor in response to the first temperature control signal, thus the output data of the SAR sensor are compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor; Therefore, in some application scenarios with faster temperature changes, the SAR sensor output data is compensated by second-order temperature compensation together with the SAR sensor's first-order temperature compensation, ensuring that the SAR sensor's output data can follow the temperature change in real time and preventing the terminal from falsely triggering the SAR sensor due to a sharp temperature change from low to high or from high to low. If the temperature change does not exceed the predetermined value, the second-order temperature compensation may not be triggered, and the SAR sensor output data is still compensated by the SAR sensor's first-order temperature compensation; therefore, it can be ensured that the terminal will not falsely trigger the SAR sensor in various cases of temperature change.

[0024] The above-mentioned embodiments provide a method for temperature compensation of the SAR sensor of a terminal, comprising: receiving a first trigger signal sent from the temperature sensing device, wherein the first trigger signal is generated by the temperature sensing device upon detecting that the temperature change of the SAR sensor exceeds a predetermined value; then sending a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor based on the first trigger signal, wherein the first temperature control signal is used to instruct the SAR sensor to activate the second-order temperature compensation, and wherein the second-order temperature compensation, together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor, compensates the output data of the SAR sensor. It can be seen, that a first trigger signal is sent to the processor when the predetermined value of the temperature change is exceeded, and that the processor, after receiving the first trigger signal, sends a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor, and then the SAR sensor activates a second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor depending on the first temperature control signal, i.e., the output data of the SAR sensor is compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor; therefore, in some application scenarios with faster temperature changes, the output data of the SAR sensor are compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor, so that it is ensured that the output data of the SAR sensor can follow the temperature change in real time and it is avoided,The terminal may falsely trigger the SAR sensor due to a sharp temperature change from low to high or from high to low. If the temperature change does not exceed the predetermined value, the second-order temperature compensation may not be triggered, and the output data of the SAR sensor may still be compensated by the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor. Therefore, it can be ensured that the terminal may not falsely trigger the SAR sensor in various cases of temperature change. Short description of the characters

[0025] In order to explain the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application more clearly, the figures required for describing the embodiments are briefly presented below. Detailed design

[0026] The present application is explained in more detail below in connection with the figures.

[0027] Fig. 2 shows, by way of example, the schematic structural representation of a terminal provided by an embodiment of the present application. As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the terminal may comprise a temperature sensing device 1, a processor 2, and a SAR sensor 3. The temperature sensing device 1 is electrically connected to the processor 2 and is designed to send a first trigger signal to the processor 2 upon detecting that a predetermined value of the temperature change of the SAR sensor 3 is exceeded.

[0028] The processor 2 is electrically connected to the SAR sensor 3 and is configured to send a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor upon receiving the first trigger signal.

[0029] The SAR sensor 3 is configured to activate second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor 3 in response to the first temperature control signal, wherein the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor 3 compensates output data of the SAR sensor 3.

[0030] Optional, as in Fig. In order to detect the temperature of the SAR sensor, calculate the temperature change, and send the first trigger signal to the processor 2 upon detecting that the temperature change of the SAR sensor 3 exceeds the predetermined value, the temperature sensing device 1 may, in one embodiment, comprise a temperature sensor 11, a differential conversion circuit 12, and a comparator 13. In this case: The temperature sensor 11 is configured to send the measured temperature to the differential conversion circuit 12.

[0031] The differential conversion circuit 12 is electrically connected to the temperature sensor 11 and is configured to calculate the temperature change as a function of the temperature sent by the temperature sensor within a predetermined period of time, to determine a trigger voltage as a function of the temperature change and a predetermined thermoelectric conversion coefficient, and to send the trigger voltage to the comparator 13.

[0032] The comparator 13 is electrically connected to the differential conversion circuit 12 and is configured to compare the trigger voltage with a predetermined voltage and send a first trigger signal to the processor 2 if the trigger voltage is greater than the predetermined voltage. For example, the comparator may send a low level to one of the processor's chip pins to indicate that the first trigger signal is being sent to the processor. Of course, in a specific implementation, the comparator may also send a high level to one of the processor's chip pins to indicate that the first trigger signal is being sent to the processor.

[0033] In order for the temperature sensor 11 to measure the temperature change of the SAR sensor 3 in a timely manner, the temperature sensor can be arranged in the vicinity of the SAR sensor 3 in a real implementation, and the closer the temperature sensor 11 is to the SAR sensor 3, the better.

[0034] Optionally, the temperature sensor 11 may be a thermistor, and may also be other types of thermosensitive modules to monitor the temperature of the SAR sensor 3 in real time.

[0035] Optionally, the predetermined value can be set empirically, for example, it can be defined based on real-world tests for the effects of different SAR sensors on temperature compensation. For example, if the effect of the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor is better, then the predetermined value can be set larger; conversely, if the effect of the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor is not as good, then the predetermined value can be set smaller, and compensation can be performed using second-order temperature compensation.

[0036] Specifically, after the temperature sensor 11 sends the measured temperature to the differential conversion circuit 12, the differential conversion circuit 12 calculates the temperature change based on the temperature transmitted by the temperature sensor 11 within the predetermined time period. For example, the predetermined time period is one minute; if the temperature measured by the temperature sensor 11 at 2:48 PM on March 20, 2018 is 10°C and the temperature measured by the temperature sensor at 2:49 PM on March 20, 2018 is 12°C, then the temperature change is 2 and the predetermined time period is 1.

[0037] Thereafter, the differential conversion circuit 12 determines a trigger voltage depending on the temperature change and a predetermined thermoelectric conversion coefficient.

[0038] Specifically, the differential conversion circuit 12 can determine the trigger voltage according to the following equation I. Vout=K×|ΔTt|

[0039] In the above equation I, K stands for proportionality constant, ΔT stands for the temperature change within the predetermined time period t, V out for the trigger voltage. K is determined depending on the parameters of the differential conversion circuit 12.

[0040] From the above equation I, it can be seen that the differential conversion circuit 12 detects the temperature change, that within the predetermined period of time, the greater the temperature change, the larger the value of the trigger voltage, whereas within the predetermined period of time, the less the temperature change, the smaller the value of the trigger voltage, and that even in the extreme case where the temperature does not change within the predetermined period of time, the value of the trigger voltage is 0.Optionally, after determining the trigger voltage based on the above-mentioned equation I, the differential conversion circuit 12 may send the trigger voltage to the comparator 13, and the comparator 13 compares the trigger voltage with the predetermined voltage and sends the first trigger signal to the processor 2 if the trigger voltage is greater than the predetermined voltage; After receiving the first trigger signal, the processor 2 may send a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor 3; After receiving the first temperature control signal, the SAR sensor 3 may activate the second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor 3.On the other hand, a second trigger signal can be sent to the processor 2 when the trigger voltage is not greater than the predetermined voltage. Specifically, the second trigger signal can be sent to the processor 2 when the trigger voltage is less than or equal to the predetermined voltage. Upon receiving the second trigger signal, the processor 2 sends a second temperature control signal to the SAR sensor 3. After receiving the second temperature control signal, the SAR sensor 3 can deactivate the second-order temperature compensation, and only the first-order temperature compensation is performed for the SAR sensor. The predetermined voltage can be set differently depending on different application scenarios by amplitude modulating the predetermined voltage using a software program.

[0041] Specifically, after receiving the first temperature control signal, the SAR sensor 3 can perform the first-order temperature compensation according to the following equation II and the second-order temperature compensation according to the following equation III and the following equation IV; the SAR sensor 3 can perform the first-order temperature compensation according to the following equation II after receiving the second temperature control signal. ƒ(T)=ƒ(T0)+s(T−T0) according to the equation ƒ(T)=ƒ(T0)+s(T−T0)+r(T−T0)2 where r in equation III can be determined according to the following equation IV, r=Vout×F

[0042] Where T0 stands for normal temperature, T stands for current temperature, f(T0) stands for absorption rate of the fundamental electromagnetic wave at the temperature of T0, s stands for first-order compensation coefficient, V outstands for the trigger voltage, F stands for scaling factor and can change due to debugging depending on real test data, and r stands for second-order compensation coefficient.

[0043] It should be noted that from the perspective of the above-mentioned equations II and III, the second-order compensation increases by a secondary small amount compared to the first-order compensation, whereby this secondary small amount is negligible if the temperature change does not result in the trigger voltage being greater than the predetermined voltage, while this secondary small amount is not negligible if the temperature change results in the trigger voltage being greater than the predetermined voltage, and in this case the second-order temperature compensation can be activated, i.e. the output data of the SAR sensor are compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation.

[0044] Optionally, the SAR sensor may also be connected to an antenna through a separation module (series-connected large inductance or other, not limiting), or the detection may be performed by an antenna of a separate SAR sensor.

[0045] Optionally, a separate antenna can be arranged in a terminal to detect parasitic capacitance; after detecting the parasitic capacitance, the antenna sends the detected parasitic capacitance to the SAR sensor, then the terminal determines whether a person is approaching or moving away from the terminal depending on the difference between the parasitic capacitance received by the SAR sensor and the output data of the SAR sensor.

[0046] Specifically, if the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data of the SAR sensor is greater than a predetermined threshold, then it is determined that a person is approaching the terminal; if the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data of the SAR sensor is smaller than the predetermined threshold, then it is determined that a person is moving away from the terminal.

[0047] Optionally, the SAR sensor 3 can also be connected to the antenna of the terminal to receive the parasitic capacitance detected by the antenna. For example, in one embodiment, the SAR sensor 3 of the terminal 100 can be connected to a lower antenna 101 and an upper antenna 102 of the terminal to receive the parasitic capacitance detected by the antenna, see. Fig. 3.

[0048] Optionally, after receiving the parasitic capacitance detected by the antenna, the SAR sensor 3 can also detect that a person is approaching the terminal 100 if the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data is greater than the threshold value, or detect that a person is moving away from the terminal otherwise.

[0049] After detecting the parasitic capacitance, the terminal's antenna determines the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data written in a storage area, and determines whether a person is approaching or moving away from the terminal based on this difference. Because the parasitic capacitance is uncontrollable under sharp temperature changes, the influence of temperature on the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data is reduced by compensating the output data, so that it can be more accurately determined whether a person is approaching or moving away.

[0050] The technical solution of second-order compensation is explained in more detail below using a concrete example.

[0051] While the curve a in Fig. 4 is a response curve of the output data without second-order temperature compensation and only with first-order temperature compensation, curve b is a synthesis curve with not only second-order temperature compensation but also first-order temperature compensation. Fig. 4, it can be seen that when the temperature changes very quickly, the output data is adjusted only with the first-order temperature compensation for t1-t4, while the output data is adjusted with the first-order temperature compensation together with the second-order temperature compensation for t2-t3; from this figure, it can also be seen that the time period from t2 to t3 is very short, thus, when the temperature changes very quickly, the solution with the first-order temperature compensation together with the second-order temperature compensation can save the terminal decision time from t1-t2 and t3-t4 compared to the solution with only the first-order temperature compensation, and the change response time of the output data after the rapid temperature change is effectively shortened, so it can be more accurately determined whether the terminal is moving away.

[0052] From the above, it can be seen that a first trigger signal is sent to the processor when the temperature change exceeds the predetermined value, and the processor, after receiving the first trigger signal, sends the first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor, and then the SAR sensor activates the second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor in response to the first temperature control signal, that is, by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor, compensates the output data of the SAR sensor; Therefore, in some application scenarios with faster temperature changes, the SAR sensor output data is compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor, ensuring that the SAR sensor output data can follow the temperature change in real time and avoiding the problem of the terminal falsely triggering the SAR sensor due to a sharp temperature change from low to high or from high to low. When the temperature change does not exceed the predetermined value, the second-order temperature compensation may not be triggered, and the SAR sensor output data is compensated by the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor. Therefore, it can be ensured that the terminal will not falsely trigger the SAR sensor in various cases of temperature changes, thus reducing resource planning and power consumption of the terminal.

[0053] Based on the same technical idea, an embodiment of the present application also offers a method for temperature compensation of the SAR sensor of the terminal, which is used for a terminal comprising a processor, a temperature sensing device and a SAR sensor; as in Fig. 5, the method may include: S501: Receiving a first trigger signal sent from the temperature sensing device, wherein the first trigger signal is generated by the temperature sensing device upon detecting that the temperature change of the SAR sensor exceeds a predetermined value.

[0054] S502: Sending a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor based on the first trigger signal, wherein the first temperature control signal is used to instruct the SAR sensor to activate the second-order temperature compensation, and wherein the second-order temperature compensation, together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor, compensates the output data of the SAR sensor.

[0055] In order to reduce resource scheduling and power consumption of the terminal, after the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor has compensated the output data of the SAR sensor, a second trigger signal sent from the temperature sensing device can be received, wherein the second trigger signal is generated by the temperature sensing device upon detecting that the temperature change does not exceed the predetermined value; then, a second temperature control signal is sent to the SAR sensor in response to the second trigger signal, wherein the second temperature control signal is used to cause the SAR sensor to deactivate the second-order temperature compensation, and wherein the first-order temperature compensation is used to compensate the output data of the SAR sensor.

[0056] Optionally, the first-order temperature compensation can be performed according to the above-mentioned equation II and the second-order temperature compensation can be performed according to the above-mentioned equation III and equation IV.

[0057] Optionally, the temperature sensing device comprises a temperature sensor, a differential conversion circuit and a comparator, then before receiving the first trigger signal sent by the temperature sensing device, it is also included: The differential conversion circuit receives the temperature measured by the temperature sensor and calculates the temperature change depending on the temperature transmitted by the temperature sensor within a predetermined period of time; and determines a trigger voltage depending on the temperature change and a predetermined thermoelectric conversion coefficient and sends the trigger voltage to the comparator so that the comparator compares the trigger voltage with a predetermined voltage and sends a first trigger signal when the trigger voltage is greater than the predetermined voltage.

[0058] Optionally, the procedure may also include: that the SAR sensor receives the parasitic capacitance detected by the antenna of the terminal, and if the difference between the parasitic capacitance and the output data is greater than the predetermined threshold, it is determined that a person is approaching the terminal, otherwise it is determined that a person is moving away from the terminal.

[0059] In summary, the above-mentioned embodiments offer a method for temperature compensation of an SAR sensor of a terminal and a terminal, wherein a first trigger signal is sent to the processor when the predetermined value of the temperature change is exceeded, and wherein the processor sends a first temperature control signal to the SAR sensor after receiving the first trigger signal, and then the SAR sensor activates a second-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor in response to the first temperature control signal, i.e. compensates the output data of the SAR sensor by the second-order temperature compensation together with the first-order temperature compensation of the SAR sensor; Therefore, in some application scenarios with faster temperature changes, the SAR sensor output data is compensated by the second-order temperature compensation together with the SAR sensor's first-order temperature compensation, ensuring that the SAR sensor's output data can follow the temperature change in real time and avoiding the problem of the terminal falsely triggering the SAR sensor due to a sharp temperature change from low to high or from high to low; where the temperature change does not exceed the predetermined value, the second-order temperature compensation may not be triggered, and the SAR sensor output data is still compensated by the SAR sensor's first-order temperature compensation. Therefore, it can be ensured that the terminal will not falsely trigger the SAR sensor in various cases of temperature changes, thus reducing resource planning and power consumption of the terminal.

[0060] Based on the same technical idea, an embodiment of the present application provides another terminal which can be used to carry out the above-mentioned method sequence for temperature compensation of a SAR sensor of a terminal. Due to the above-mentioned Fig. The terminal structure shown in Figure 2 may also include a memory, wherein the memory can communicate with the processor via a bus.

The memory may be volatile memory, such as random-access memory (RAM); it may also be non-volatile memory, such as flash memory, hard disk drive (HDD), or solid-state drive (SSD); or it may also be a combination of one or more volatile memories and non-volatile memories.

[0062] The processor can be a central processing unit (CPU), a network processor (NP), or a combination of CPU and NP. It can also be a hardware chip. The aforementioned hardware chip can be an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), a programmable logic device (PLD), or a combination thereof. [0063] The memory is designed to store program instructions; The processor is configured to retrieve the program instructions stored in the memory and to perform the above-mentioned method for temperature compensation of a SAR sensor of a terminal according to the program obtained therefrom.
