Description

[0001] Common muzzles are made of a rigid material such as metal or plastic and comprise a structure of bars or ribs that enclose the dog's mouth. These muzzles prevent biting but allow the dog to pant and drink. However, there is a risk that the dog could ingest unwanted substances, lick wounds, or injure other parts of the body through the bars.

[0002] The invention defined in claim 1 is based on creating an attachment for muzzles that prevents the dog from ingesting unwanted food, licking wounds, or causing injuries, while still allowing the dog to pant and drink unhindered. This attachment must be dimensionally stable to withstand attempts to peel it off and impact, while also being easy to attach and remove from the muzzle.

[0003] This problem is solved by the features listed in claim 1.

[0004] The invention ensures that the dog is fully protected without restricting its breathing or freedom of movement. The attachment encloses the muzzle at the front, sides, and bottom, with air holes on the sides and front to ensure ventilation. Additionally, there are slits on the lower front section to drain condensation, and a round cutout on the top ensures optimal nasal ventilation.

[0005] An advantageous embodiment of the invention is described in claim 3. The dimensionally stable construction ensures that the attachment does not slip even during intensive attempts to remove the leash and safely protects the dog.

[0006] An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to Fig. 1 to 3. They show: ** Fig. 1** the muzzle with the attachment attached in side view, ** Fig. 2** the muzzle with the attachment removed,

[0007] In the figures, the attachment is shown with **1 (hooking mechanism)**, **2 (front of the attachment)**, **3 (air holes on the sides)**, **4 (air holes on the front)**, **5 (slots for condensation water)**, **6 (round recess on the top)**, **7 (side cover)** and **8 (lower protection area)**.

[0008] Fig. Figure 1 shows the attachment securely hooked onto the muzzle, with the air holes on the sides and front, as well as the slits for condensation, clearly visible. Fig. 2 the attachment is removed so that the hooking mechanism is visible. Fig. 3 shows the mechanism in detail that ensures that the attachment remains secure and dimensionally stable on the muzzle. Claims

[1] Muzzle attachment that can be attached to a muzzle and has a front, characterized by that the attachment (1) is dimensionally stable and encloses the front (2) of the muzzle in order to prevent unwanted food intake, wherein the attachment (1) is provided with air holes (3, 4) on the sides and the front in order to ensure ventilation. [2] Attachment according to claim 1, characterized by that the attachment (1) has slots (5) on the lower front part that allow condensate to drain away. [3] Attachment according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the attachment (1) has a round recess (6) on the upper front side to optimise the ventilation of the dog's nose. [4] Attachment according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the side cover (7) of the attachment encloses the muzzle on the sides and thus offers additional protection against attempts to remove it. [5] Attachment according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the lower protective area (8) of the attachment encloses the muzzle from below in order to increase stability.
