Description

[0001] The invention relates to a device for attaching a furnishing item to a rail provided with openings and running along the inner wall of a vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] A fastening system for attaching vehicle equipment to the interior wall of a vehicle is the subject of DE 10 2005 015 348 B4. The fastening system is designed for attaching vehicle equipment in vehicles and includes a fastening device with which vehicle equipment arranged in the vehicle can be securely connected to a rail on an interior wall of the vehicle. The fastening device comprises a swivel arm, which is attached at one end to the vehicle equipment by a screw connection (designed as a first fastening element) and at the other end to the rail on the interior wall by a second fastening element in the form of a support. The fastening requires a screw connection.

[0003] DE 10 2013 108 807 A1 relates to a fastening device for the detachable attachment of vehicle equipment to a rail fixed in a vehicle. The fastening device comprises a first fastening element, attachable to the rail, and a second fastening element, attachable to the vehicle equipment, which are connected to each other via a pivot arm. A third fastening element, attachable to the rail or the vehicle equipment, is also provided, along with a support arm that connects the third fastening element to the opposing fastening element. The device described in this publication also involves a permanent connection between the equipment and the vehicle, which can only be released with tools.

[0004] The task is therefore to provide a device for attaching a piece of furniture to a rail running along the inner wall of a vehicle and provided with openings, which enables the piece of furniture to be attached to the vehicle securely, yet quickly detachable.

[0005] This problem is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the dependent claims. The invention relates to a device for connecting a furnishing to a rail running along the inner wall of a vehicle and provided with openings, wherein a first pawl is rotatably mounted on the furnishing about an axis of rotation, and which has a first locking tooth on its front face pointing towards an opening. This locking tooth can be brought into locking engagement with a first side edge of this opening, or released from this engagement, by rotating the pawl about the axis of rotation. This results in a quick connection between the furnishing and the vehicle.

[0006] Preferably, the device has a bearing for a camshaft which runs parallel to the axis of rotation and, when rotated, acts on the rear side of the pawl opposite the front side, rotating the pawl around the axis of rotation. This results in simple and effective actuation of the pawl.

[0007] Preferably, the bearings for the camshaft and the axis of rotation are arranged within a housing that can be attached to the equipment. This has the advantage of a closed design and the ability to subsequently attach the housing to the vehicle equipment or the piece of equipment.

[0008] Preferably, the camshaft is rigidly connected to an actuating lever, the actuation of which allows the camshaft to rotate in its bearing. This enables simple and easy operation of the camshaft.

[0009] In a preferred embodiment, a second pawl is arranged on the axis of rotation, on the rear side of which the camshaft also acts, thereby allowing a second locking tooth, located on the front side of the second pawl opposite the axis of rotation, to engage in a locking engagement with a second side edge of the opening of the rail opposite the first side edge, or to be released from this engagement. This has the advantage that a stable fastening of the fixture is possible as soon as the device according to the invention is connected to the interior wall of the vehicle.

[0010] Preferably, the actuating lever has a locking slide to prevent unintentional release of the locking engagement. This prevents unintentional release.

[0011] In an advantageous embodiment, the rail has slot-shaped openings between adjacent openings for receiving the locking pawls for connecting a further connection system. This can be a connection system as described in DE 20 2019 106 517 U1.

[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the furnishing is a shelf. Alternatively, it can also be a mobile shelf trolley equipped with casters.

[0013] An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. These show: Fig. 1 A perspective view of the side interior wall of a vehicle with a shelf-like fixture attached to it; Fig. 2 A schematic, perspective representation of a rail arranged along the inner wall of a vehicle with a piece of equipment attached to it, designed as a mobile shelf trolley; Fig. 3 Two perspective views of a housing with a device arranged therein for attaching a furnishing item to a rail (not shown here) in the locked (left) and unlocked (right) position; Fig. 4 A representation of the in Fig. 3 Device shown in longitudinal section in the locked (left) and unlocked (right) position; Fig. 5 A representation according to Fig. 4 with additional illustration of the vehicle's inner wall and rail in locked (left) and unlocked (right) position; Fig. 6 An enlarged view of the in Fig. 3 - 5 device shown with additional illustration of a return spring in locked position in a side section; Fig. 7 A representation according to Fig. 6, partially cut, from above, also in locked position.

[0014] The problem and installation situation of the subject matter of the present invention are described in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 shown.

[0015] It is often necessary to install fixtures such as shelves or cabinets in vehicles, e.g., station wagons, vans, panel vans, or other vehicles used by companies or tradespeople. The challenge here is that the fixtures must be attached to the vehicle's interior in such a way as to ensure that they do not detach during sudden evasive maneuvers, braking, or accidents, preventing them from falling uncontrollably and injuring people. According to the state of the art, as described in the introduction, the fixtures are securely bolted to the vehicle's interior, for example, using rails arranged along the interior. Fig. Figure 1 shows the interior of a vehicle with an interior wall 4, which is the side wall of a van, and a rail 5 running along this interior wall 4, which is firmly connected to the interior wall 4. This rail 5 has openings 3 at regular intervals, which are square or rectangular in shape.

[0016] On the floor of the vehicle, which runs perpendicular to the inner wall 4, stands a racking unit 1, which in the illustrated embodiment comprises a plurality of drawers, transport cases, and trays that can be removed. The racking unit also has two side panels 21, by means of which it can be connected to both the side wall 4 and the floor of the vehicle. For this purpose, devices according to the invention for connecting this racking unit 1 to the rail 5 in the inner wall 4 are located approximately halfway up the side panels 21; these devices are described in more detail below.

[0017] The shelf is also attached to the vehicle floor using connecting devices that engage in a rail running along the floor, although these are not described in detail here. Double attachment, to both the side wall and the floor, may be necessary to achieve maximum stability. However, it may also be sufficient to attach the shelf at several points to the side wall or the rail 5.

[0018] Fig. Figure 2 shows an alternative design in which, instead of a shelf, a shelf trolley is connected to the vehicle as furnishing item 2. Also Fig. Figure 2 schematically shows the already in Fig. 1 shown rail 5 connected to the inner wall 4 of the vehicle with the rectangular openings 3 into which the devices according to the invention, connected to the furnishing item designed as a shelf trolley, engage.

[0019] The connection device according to the invention for the furnishings with the rail arranged in the vehicle is shown in the following. Fig. 3, Fig. 4, Fig. 5, Fig. 6 to Fig. 7.

[0020] Fig. Figure 3 shows a device according to the invention for attachment to a (not shown here) piece of equipment 1 with a housing 14, shown on the left in the locked position and on the right in the unlocked position. Inside the housing 14 is a bearing 6 for a camshaft 7, which is Fig. 3 is not immediately visible due to the closed representation. An actuating lever 15 is arranged on or fixedly connected to this camshaft 7. When actuated, the camshaft 7 is rotated within its bearing 6 from the locked position (left) to the unlocked position (right). The housing 14 has a number of mounting points, not specified in detail, for attaching it to the device. A pivot axis 8 runs parallel to the camshaft 7. Two pawls are rotatable around this axis. These pawls can be moved back and forth between two different positions by the camshaft 7 or by actuating the camshaft 7 with the aid of the actuating lever 15, as shown below. Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 is shown in detail.

[0021] Fig. Figure 4 shows the locked position on the left. The actuating lever 15 is therefore in contact with the housing 14, and the camshaft 7 is in a position where the cams mounted on it are parallel to the actuating lever 15. The pawl 10, which is mounted on the pivot 8, rests with its rear side 12 on the camshaft 7, causing the front side 13 opposite the rear side of the pawl 10 to point outwards. Fig. 4 (left) upwards, is pressed.

[0022] Furthermore, the camshaft 7 acts on a second pawl 16, which in the locked state ( Fig. 4, left) is pressed downwards so that the locking tooth 17 of the second pawl 16 is pressed downwards. The corresponding position of the camshaft 7 in the bearing 6 is achieved under the action of a spring 22, as is found in the Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 is shown schematically.

[0023] If you activate the in Fig. As the actuating lever shown in Figure 4 moves from the locked position (left) to the unlocked position (right), the camshaft 7 moves into a position where it presses on the back 12 of the pawl, thus generating a movement of the pawl around the axis of rotation 8, whereby the front 13 of the pawl 10 with the locking tooth 9 moves into the unlocked position, i.e. inwards or according to Fig. 4 moves downwards. The same thing happens with the second pawl 16 and its second locking tooth 17.

[0024] The arrangement becomes even clearer when in Fig. Figure 5 also takes into account the inner wall 4 of the vehicle with the rail 5 arranged thereon, which is provided with openings 3. Here it can be clearly seen that in the arrangement shown on the left, the device is locked to the rail 5 by the first locking pawl 10 engaging with the first locking tooth 9 on a first side edge 11 of the opening 3 inside the side wall 5, and the second locking pawl 16 engaging with the second locking tooth 17 on an opposite second side edge 18 of the opening 3 of the rail. The released position is again shown on the right.

[0025] The Fig. Figure 6 shows the arrangement in the locked state again in an enlarged view, but without the side wall and rail. Here, the force exerted on the camshaft 7 within the bearing 6 by a spring 22 is shown in particular. This spring is wound around the axis of rotation 8 and is supported against the housing 14 on one side and against the camshaft 7 on the other. This spring ensures that the camshaft 7 is pressed into the locked position. The transition from the locked position to the unlocked position by moving the actuating lever 15 therefore occurs against the force of the spring 22.

[0026] Fig. Figure 7 shows the arrangement from above in a partially cutaway view. A central plate 23 is particularly clearly visible here, which runs between the first pawl 10 and the second pawl 16 to separate them.

[0027] The device works as follows.

[0028] If the housing 14 is not yet attached to the fixture 1 or 2, it must first be connected to the fixture 1 or 2 using the fastening devices provided for this purpose, which are shown in the figures but not described in detail. This connection can be made by screwing, riveting, or, if necessary, gluing. After the housing 14 has been connected to the fixture 1 or 2, the fixture 1 or 2 can be placed in the vehicle and positioned in the area of the inner wall 4. The fixture is moved so close to the openings 3 of the rail 5 that, in the unlocked position, it is positioned according to the diagram. Fig. 3, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, right, the locking pawls 10 and 16 can be inserted into an opening 3 of the rail 5, as shown in Fig. 5, shown on the right. Then the actuating lever 15 is actuated to move the in Fig. 5, position shown on the left, is reached. Through the action of the camshaft 7, the pawls 10 and 16 then move upwards and downwards respectively, and the locking teeth 9 and 17 engage against the side edges 11 and 18 of the respective opening 3 within the rail 5. Afterwards, the locking slide 19 can be actuated into the actuating lever 15 to prevent unintentional release.

[0029] To detach the fitting 1 or 2 from the vehicle, proceed in reverse order. If necessary, first release the locking slide 19. Then, the operating lever 15 can be removed from the Fig. The locking pawls 10 and 16, along with their associated locking teeth 9 and 17, then pivot back into position and can be removed from the opening 3 together with the housing 14 and the complete furnishing 1.

[0030] The device according to the invention works in the same way on a shelf trolley as it does in Fig. Figure 2 is shown. It may be supplemented by further locking or connection options in the floor area of the vehicle, which are not shown in detail here.

[0031] In a simplified embodiment, not shown in the figures, it is also possible to use only one locking pawl, which then only bears against one side edge of the opening. This is particularly possible if a second device according to the invention has a locking pawl on the opposite side wall of the device, which interacts with the opening there in the opposite direction, so that the device can be clamped against the rail.

[0032] Furthermore, the invention can also be implemented without a camshaft. In this case, the axis of rotation is to be turned by other means, e.g. by a lever or handle arranged directly on it. QUOTES INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION
