DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0009] With reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 6, the present disclosure provides a cable connector with a bidirectional anti-disconnection function (hereinafter referred to as a cable connector). The cable connector includes an insulating cylinder body 100, an insulating housing 300, and a guide pin assembly 400.
[0010] The insulating cylindrical body 100 has a plurality of penetration holes 12. A blocking part 121 is formed in each of the penetration holes 12. A first direction D1 and a second direction D2 opposite to the first direction D1 are defined in the insulating cylindrical body 100. The first direction D1 and the second direction D2 run parallel to the penetration hole 12.
[0011] The guide pin assembly 400 is inserted in advance in the first direction D1 or the second direction D2 into the insulating cylinder body 100. The guide pin assembly 400 includes a plurality of guide pins 4. The guide pins 4 are inserted into a respective penetration hole 12. The guide pins 4 each have a first limiting segment 41 and a second limiting segment 42, and the first limiting segment 41 has at least one return arm piece 52. In some embodiments, there are multiple return arm pieces 52, but there is no limitation in this regard. Reference is made to Fig. 6, wherein the reversing arm pieces 52 of the respective guide pins 4 are blocked by the respective blocking parts 121 in the first direction D1.
[0012] The insulating housing 300 is a hollow tubular member and has a closed housing end (no reference numeral) and an open housing end (no reference numeral). The closed housing end has a plurality of socket holes 321. The insulating housing 300 encloses the insulating cylinder body 100 with the guide pin assembly 400 inserted therein. The insulating cylinder body 100 with the guide pin assembly 400 inserted therein is substantially enveloped by the insulating housing 300 in the second direction D2, and the respective socket holes 321 each communicate with one of the respective penetration holes 12. Reference is made to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, wherein the insulating housing 300 is formed with a plurality of inner blocking edges 37 at locations corresponding to the respective socket holes 321. The insulating housing 300 further substantially includes a plurality of through-holes 36 communicating with the respective socket holes 321. The respective penetrating holes 36 and the respective socket holes 321 are arranged adjacent to each other. The respective through-holes 36 establish communication between the respective socket holes 321 and the respective penetrating holes 12. An inner dimension of the through-hole 36 is larger than an inner dimension of the socket hole 321, so that the inner blocking edges 37 are formed in the insulating housing 300.
[0013] Reference is made to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, wherein a diameter R1 of the second limiting segment 42 of the respective guide pins 4 is larger than a diameter R2 of the first limiting segment 41, resulting in a diameter difference. Due to the diameter difference, a first outer flange 45 is formed on the respective guide pins 4, wherein the respective first outer flanges 45 correspond to the respective inner blocking edges 37. Thus, the first outer flanges 45 each correspond to the respective inner blocking edges 37, so that after inserting the second limiting segment 42 of the respective guide pins 4 into the corresponding bushing holes 321, the first outer flange 45 of the respective guide pins 4 is blocked by the respective inner blocking edges 37 in the second direction D2.
[0014] The first limiting segment 41 of the respective guide pins 4 is blocked by the blocking part 121 via the reversing arm piece 52. A section defined between the first limiting segment 41 and the second limiting segment 42 of the respective guide pins 4 is blocked by the inner blocking edge 37 via the first outer flange 45. Thus, the guide pins 4 are each limited by and positioned between the insulating cylinder body 100 and the insulating housing 300.
[0015] Thus, after assembling the cable connector of the present disclosure, the reversing arm pieces 52 of the respective guide pins 4 are blocked by the respective blocking parts 121 in the first direction D1, preventing the guide pins 4 from being pulled out in the first direction D1 and thus providing a pull-out prevention function in the first direction D1. The first outer flange 45 formed between the first limiting segment 41 and the second limiting segment 42 of the respective guide pins 4 is blocked by the respective inner blocking edges 37 in the second direction D2, preventing the guide pins 4 from being pulled out in the second direction D2 and thus providing a pull-out prevention function in the second direction D2.Thus, the cable connector of the present disclosure has the bidirectional pull-out prevention function in that the two directions (the first direction D1 and the second direction D2) are opposite to each other, and the pull-out of the respective guide pins 4 is prevented in either direction.
[0016] Reference is made to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, wherein the closed housing end of the insulating housing 300 has a plurality of sleeve tubes 32 projecting in the second direction D2, such that the sleeve tubes 32 each have the socket hole 321.
[0017] The details are as follows. Reference is made to Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, wherein the guide pins 4 each further comprise a third limiting segment (without reference numeral). The third limiting segment lies between the two ends of the first limiting segment 41. A second outer flange 43 is formed by being concavely enclosed by the outer circumference of the third limiting segment. Reference is made to Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 6, Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, wherein the guide pin assembly 400 includes a plurality of peel-off protection units 5 and a plurality of the guide pins 4. A neck constriction part (without reference numeral) is formed on a rear half portion of the first limiting segment 41 of the respective guide pins 4, as shown in Fig. 6. The peel-off protection unit 5 has a mounting part 51, with the reversing arm piece 52 extending from the mounting part 51. The mounting part 51 is arranged in the neck constriction part of the first limiting segment 41 and is blocked by the second outer flange 43 in the second direction D2 (which prevents the mounting part 51 from moving in the second direction D2). An included angle is formed between the reversing arm piece 52 and the guide pin 4. An extended distal end of the reversing arm piece 52 is blocked by the blocking part 121, as shown in Fig. 6. The blocking part 121 is a stepped blocking part formed on an inner wall of the penetration hole 12.
[0018] Reference is made to Fig. 1 to Fig. 5 and Fig. 8, wherein the insulating cylindrical body 100 includes at least one domed unit 23 for stably securing the insulating cylindrical body 100 in the insulating housing 300. The insulating housing 300 includes at least one locking slot 334 corresponding to the domed unit 23. In some embodiments, there are two domed units 23 and two locking slots 334, but this is not to be construed as a limitation.
[0019] Essentially, the open housing end of the insulating housing 300 is provided with two slot grooves 33 arranged opposite each other in the second direction D2. An inner slot end 331 is formed at a distal end of the slot groove 33. The slot groove 33 is formed such that an open slot end 332 lies at the open housing end of the insulating housing 300. The open slot end 332 and the inner slot end 331 are opposite each other, and the open slot end 332 faces in the first direction D1. Two locking projections 333 protrude from positions close to the inner slot end 331 of the respective slot grooves 33 and are arranged opposite each other, so that the locking slot 334 is defined by the two locking projections 333 and the inner slot end 331.
[0020] Therefore, when the insulating cylinder body 100 is accommodated in the insulating housing 300, the respective domed units 23 are inserted into the respective locking slots 334, thereby fixing the insulating cylinder body 100 and the insulating housing 300 and preventing them from detaching from each other in the opposite directions.
[0021] The insulating cylinder body 100 is a one-piece configuration (not shown) or a two-piece configuration as shown in Fig. 1 to Fig. 6 and Fig. 8. The two-part configuration is provided for illustrative purposes but is not intended to be limiting. The insulating cylinder body 100 includes a cylindrical member 1 and a frame member 2. The frame member 2 is formed in a cross shape, but is not limited thereto. The cylindrical member 1 has the plurality of penetration holes 12 and a first insertion slot 11 having a shape corresponding to the shape of the frame member 2. The frame member 2 is correspondingly inserted into the first insertion slot 11 of the cylindrical member 1. The frame member 2 has the two curved units 23 protruding from the cylindrical member 1.
[0022] Essentially, the cylindrical element 1 has two mounting slots 13 that are similar to the slot groove 33, which is why the mounting slots 13 each also have a locking slot. Thus, the respective curved units 23 of the frame element 2 are first locked and snapped into the locking slot of the respective mounting slots 13, so as to fasten the frame element 2 in the cylindrical element 1. Then, the curved units 23 of the frame element 2 are each further locked and snapped into the locking slot 334 of the respective slot grooves 33, so as to fasten the frame element 2 and the cylindrical element 1 to the insulating housing 300. The closed housing end of the insulating housing 300 has a second insertion slot 35 with a shape that corresponds to the shape of the frame element 2.A front portion of the frame element 2 is inserted into the second insertion slot 35 in a corresponding manner and protrudes from the closed housing end of the insulating housing 300.
[0023] Reference is made to Fig. 9, the cable connector of the present disclosure further includes an insulating enclosure housing 700. The insulating enclosure housing 700 encloses the insulating cylinder body 100, the insulating housing 300, and the guide pin assembly 400 in a pre-assembled state, thus completely assembling the cable connector.
[0024] Although the disclosure has been described with reference to specific embodiments, those skilled in the art may make numerous modifications and variations therein without departing from the scope and spirit of this disclosure as set forth in the claims.
