Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a spacer fastening system for arranging spacers on the reinforcement of concrete structures according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] The function of spacers in the formwork of concrete structures is to maintain defined distances between the reinforcement, which is usually installed in mat form, and the formwork elements, ensuring a defined cover of the installed reinforcement and its precisely defined arrangement within, for example, a concrete wall. This is highly relevant to the durability of concrete structures and is particularly evident in construction defects that can be identified due to non-compliance with these principles.

[0003] The design of spacers can vary greatly, both in terms of their shape and the material used. Furthermore, a variety of different fastening methods are known for arranging these spacers on the reinforcement mesh, which in turn can be made of different materials.

[0004] The aim is to increasingly automate the attachment of spacers to application mats or to implement them with accelerated and standardized tools in order to reduce manual work and achieve greater uniformity in the arrangement of the spacers on the application mats.

[0005] In addition to the arrangement of fastening elements in the form of fastening wires directly into a spacer made of concrete, for example, before it hardens, other fastening elements are also known in the prior art. More complex forms include fastening clips, which are often made of plastic and are inserted into the not yet hardened spacer body during its production and, after it has hardened, are used to connect it to advertising mats.

[0006] Both in the case of fastening wires arranged in spacers and in the case of plastic clips, for example, these fastening means are permanently and uniformly connected to the spacer body in a non-detachable manner and usually consist of bodies cast into the spacer.

[0007] From the publication DE 20 2021 104 302 A, a carrier plate for receiving fastening elements on spacers is known, in which a flat carrier plate with fastening projections is arranged in a spacer, wherein on the side facing away from the spacer, engagement receptacles or surfaces for separate fastening means are provided.

[0008] This solution thus already reveals a separation of the actual fastening means, for example a fastening wire, from the spacers, which in this case has special points of engagement via the carrier plate, to which a fastening wire, for example, can then engage.

[0009] However, the problem of how this fastening of such a spacer to a reinforcement mesh, for example using a wire connection, can be further automated and, in particular, accelerated with the aid of binding machines capable of creating a wire connection of defined strength and tension in a fraction of a second has not yet been resolved. To date, no spacers are known that are suitable for this specific form of fastening using a binding machine and also enable easy-to-use and secure fastening with such a binding machine.

[0010] Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide a spacer with corresponding fastening elements that support or enable an arrangement with a binding machine.

[0011] This object is achieved by spacers with fastening elements according to claim 1.

[0012] The further subclaims relate to advantageous developments of this inventive solution.

[0013] The central inventive concept of the present spacer fastening system is that this fastening system comprises, on the one hand, a spacer support plate, which is arranged as a type of adapter plate between a spacer and another structural element, namely a support body. This support body is attached to the spacer support plate and, in turn, serves to attach it to the reinforcement of a concrete structure.

[0014] It should also be noted here that this support body is not itself the fastening element for the reinforcement in the sense of, for example, clips made of plastic or other fastening elements known in the art with which a spacer can be fastened directly to the reinforcement. Rather, the support body is also merely a connecting element which in turn must first be fastened to the reinforcement. This means that on the one hand we have the spacer support plate which is connected to the spacer itself and is the connecting element to the support body, but on the other hand we also have the support body which is fastened to this spacer support plate in order to serve as the fastening means for the entire spacer fastening system to the reinforcement. This means that this support body must also first be connected to the reinforcement in order to connect the spacer to the reinforcement via this fastening system.

[0015] The key advantages of this new design lie in the fact that both the spacer support plate and the support body can be adapted to suit the application requirements. Another very important advantage is that the support bodies are designed to have support body sections that are particularly easy to attach to the reinforcement, especially since these are attachment extensions that extend beyond the connecting surface of the spacer support plate and thus also beyond the base surface of the spacer itself, which roughly corresponds to the connecting surface.

[0016] This means that this attachment extension runs perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the spacer and the direction of the spacer effect between the reinforcement and the formwork, and parallel to the alignment of the reinforcement mesh or the reinforcement bars. Due to its parallel alignment to the reinforcement bars, this attachment extension on the support body is ideally suited for attachment to the reinforcement bars. This solution also advantageously allows for work to be carried out entirely from the front.

[0017] This fastening option is particularly advantageous in terms of workflow, as a spacer equipped with the spacer support plate according to the invention is provided with a support body and is then, for example, placed frontally on a reinforcement mat or held against it. Assuming that one of the installer's hands is required for this, the other hand remains free, which can then be used to connect these fastening extensions on the support body to a reinforcement bar, for example, by mechanical wiring.

[0018] The particularly advantageous aspect of the workflow is that this can be ideally implemented in combination with wire tying machines, which, as hand tools, enable semi-automation of the arrangement of the spacers on the reinforcement mesh by attaching the wire tying machines to the fastening extensions and wiring these directly to a reinforcement bar located behind the fastening extension.

[0019] Depending on the design of the invention, top and / or bottom fastening extensions can be connected in this way to a reinforcing bar, onto which the spacer is placed using the spacer fastening system according to the invention. Alternative designs can also provide, for example, that one section of the support body is merely hooked into the reinforcement mat, while the second section of the support body is designed as a fastening extension and can be firmly connected to the reinforcing bar, for example, using a wire binding machine.

[0020] Further stabilization of the connection to the reinforcement is achieved by the spacer support plate having a connecting surface facing the reinforcement, which expediently has support recesses into which the reinforcement bars then engage or with which the spacer system is placed on the reinforcement bars before the fastening extensions are then bonded to the reinforcement bars.

[0021] In this context, it is also relevant that the fastening extensions on the support body can already be designed such that they are fastened to a rear reinforcing bar, for example using a wire tying machine, whereas the support recess in the connecting surface of the spacer support plate rests on the reinforcing bars in front of them, which run transversely to the rear reinforcing bars. The background to this is that reinforcement mats are composed of reinforcing bars running transversely to one another, with a front layer of reinforcing bars running in front of a rear layer arranged transversely to these. In this respect, one embodiment of the support body is designed such that the actual support body sections of the fastening extensions intended for fastening are designed such that they are arranged on rear reinforcing bars, thus further improving the strength of the connection.

[0022] Since there is a variability in these spacer fastening system components, both in terms of the spacer carrier plate and the carrier bodies that interact with this spacer carrier plate, a number of solutions are explained in more detail below using drawings. Fig. 1 a perspective view of a spacer carrier plate 1 and a schematically indicated spacer, in which lateral groove-shaped channels are provided for receiving connecting areas on the carrier bodies; Fig. 2 the design according to Fig. 1 in a perspective top view; Fig. 3 a variant of the spacer carrier plate 1 with inwardly facing groove-shaped channels 10, which are accessible through a top-side receptacle 21, into which the carrier body 4 is inserted with its connecting regions 7 to the connecting receptacles 3; Fig. 4 a perspective side view of the fastening system according to Fig. 3 with schematically shown spacer 2; Fig. 5 a side view of a further variant of the spacer carrier plate 1 comprising an opening 14 for receiving the carrier body 4 and underside fastening elements 17 for engagement in a schematically shown spacer 2; Fig. 6 a perspective top view of the design according to Fig. 6, in which in particular the upper support recesses 20 for the reinforcement bars 19 are illustrated.; Fig. 7 a perspective bottom view of the design according to Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, in which the fastening elements 17 to the spacer 2 are clearly visible as well as the opening 11' in a side surface 12 of the spacer support plate 1, which leads into the opening 14; Fig. 8 a design of the clip-like carrier body 4 with the connecting areas 7 for engagement in the groove-shaped channels 10 of the previously presented solutions; Fig. 9 a variant of the support body 4, which has clamping extensions 15 as fastening extensions 5, which can engage behind a reinforcing bar 19 in order to carry out a pre-fixing of the spacer 2, which is then completed by the final fastening of the fastening extensions 5; Fig. 10 shows a further design of the carrier plate 1, in which the fastening elements 17 are not shown for the sake of simplicity, a special design of the carrier body 4 in a straight design inserted into tunnel guide channels 22, wherein here too a support recess 20 runs between these tunnel guide channels 22; Fig. 11 a support body 4 consisting of 2 parallel legs 13, which are connected to the support body 4 via a transverse section 9 for receiving in the design according to Fig. 10 and Fig. 12 of an installation situation of a spacer 2 on reinforcing bars 19.

[0023] The design shown according to Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows the spacer support plate 1 inserted into a spacer 2, which may, for example, be a cast concrete body. In principle, the technical advantages of the invention as a fastening system can also be realized if, for example, the support plate is formed directly in one piece with the spacer 2, but it is assumed that it is also particularly advantageous for insertion into concrete spacers.

[0024] This practical design of the spacer support plate 1 has groove-shaped channels 10 running parallel to each other at the edges, into which the support body 4 with its connecting areas 7 is inserted. For this purpose, the view of Fig. 8 is helpful, whereby it can be seen that in this combination a carrier body 4 with connecting areas 7 can engage in these groove-shaped channels, wherein the design is such that the carrier body 4 is designed as a spring-elastic component consisting of 2 approximately parallel carrier body sections 8 and 8', which are spread open for insertion into the edge-positioned groove-shaped channels on the spacer carrier plate 1 and then clamped with its connecting areas 7 in these groove-shaped channels 10.

[0025] It is viewed Fig. 8 clearly shows that this is a coordinated design which causes the support body 4 to snap into these groove-shaped channels 10 on the spacer support plate 1 and, due to a parallel offset course of the connecting areas 7 on the support body 4, has fastening extensions parallel to the connecting surface 6 of the spacer support plate 1, which can then be used for fastening to a reinforcing bar. It is clear that in this way the fastening extensions 5 run above the connecting surface 6 of the spacer support plate 1 and are suitable for being fastened adjacent to another reinforcing bar of a reinforcement mat running transversely behind the reinforcing bar.

[0026] This is particularly advantageous in order to achieve a permanently aligned and firm connection between the spacer 2 and the reinforcement mat 19. This means that the spacer 2 is placed on a reinforcement bar 19 via the spacer fastening system with its support recess 20, as is also shown in Fig. 12. The fastening extensions 5 of the support body 4, which are connected to the spacer support plate 1, are positioned transversely to the orientation of the spacer 2 itself on the rear reinforcement bar 19 and can be firmly connected to them, for example, using a wire binding machine.

[0027] It is clear that in this way a firm connection is created below and above the reinforcement bar 19, onto which the spacer 2 with the support recess 20 on the spacer support plate 1 is placed, and the spacer 2 also has no possibility of twisting in any way or changing its alignment, which is why this is a particularly advantageous fastening means with a strong definition of alignment.

[0028] The combination of the view according to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 with Fig. 12 also illustrates a further advantageous aspect of this design, namely that, as previously explained, the carrier body 4 is resiliently clamped with its connecting regions 7 into the parallel openings 11 in the groove-shaped channels 10. Before the wiring is carried out, the parallel free ends of the fastening extensions 5 of the carrier body 4 are spaced from one another at approximately the same distance as in the rear region connected by the transverse section that connects the carrier body sections 8 to the carrier body 4.

[0029] The view of Fig. 12, however, illustrates that the wire binding process, for example by a wire binding machine, results in a wire binding 18 on these parallel legs 13 of the fastening extensions 5, resulting in these being firmly wired to the reinforcing bar 19 and no longer being guided parallel to each other, but rather being brought closer together in the connection area of the wire binding 18. This naturally leads to a further reinforcement of the clamping connection of the connection areas 7 of the support bodies 4 in the groove-shaped channels 10 on the spacer support plate 1, as shown in Fig. 12 becomes apparent.

[0030] This also applies to the Fig. 12 above shown connecting area, which is connected to each other via the transverse section 9. Here, too, the parallel carrier body sections 8 are pressed together by the wire binding 18, resulting in a reinforcement of the clamping connection of the connecting area 7 into the groove-shaped channels 10 on the spacer carrier plate 1.

[0031] In relation to this, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 an alternative design in which the insertion of the support body 4 into the connection receptacles 3 in the spacer support plate 1 takes place from the inside of the spacer support plate 1. For this purpose, a structural solution is provided in which a receptacle 21 is provided on the upper connection surface 6 of the spacer support plate 1 for reinforcement, which leads to the groove-shaped channels 10, which are open and aligned towards the central region of the connection surface 6 and not at the edge to the outside, as is the case in the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 was shown.

[0032] Therefore, in order to use the design of the carrier body 4 shown in design 8, for example, it is necessary not to insert it as in the design according to Fig. 1, but rather to compress the carrier body 4, thereby pressing the parallel carrier body sections 8 toward each other so that they can be inserted into the receptacle 21. The width of the receptacle 21 is adapted to how tightly the carrier body can be pressed together with its parallel legs 13.

[0033] It is relevant here that the receptacle 21 is designed in such a way that even when the carrier body sections 8 are later joined together, for example when wiring them to a reinforcement bar, the secure hold of the carrier body 4 on the spacer support plate 1 is still ensured. However, it is also intended to connect the free ends of the fastening extensions 5, as shown in Fig. 8 in the representation of the support body 4, to be wired to a reinforcing bar 19 in such a way that they are not as in Fig. 12 shown in front of the reinforcement bar are guided close to each other but that they are wired on both sides of the reinforcement bar, so that the narrowing of the parallel guidance of the carrier body sections 8 does not occur to the extent as in Fig. 12 is shown.

[0034] The Fig. 5 to 7 show a third design of the spacer support plate 1 according to the invention, which no longer has parallel groove-shaped channels 10 into which the support body 4 engages with its connecting regions 7, but here the solution is provided to lead a continuous opening 14 in the form of a flat channel through the spacer support plate 1, which ends in two parallel side surfaces 12 of the spacer support plate 1 provided openings 11. It is particularly in Fig. 5 clearly shows that the opening 14 completely penetrates the spacer support plate 1.

[0035] Here, for example, an interaction with the carrier body 4 in a clip design according to Fig. 9 is provided, in which this carrier body section 8', which is designed to be straight, functions as a connecting region 7 to this opening 14. This means that the connecting region 7 connected to the transverse section 9 is pushed into the opening 14, wherein the distances between the carrier body sections 8 and 8' are selected such that a clamping in the channel of the opening 14 already occurs and thus the carrier body 4 is already pre-fixed in this opening 14.

[0036] What is relevant to the invention in this design of the support body 4 is that the fastening extensions 5 and 5' are specially designed in that they are designed as clamping extensions 15. These are suitable for engaging behind the fastening rods 19 when the spacer fastening system is placed on a reinforcement mat, thus achieving an initial fastening through this clamping alone.

[0037] However, it is also important here that it is a clamping extension 15 which is designed to protrude beyond the connecting surface 6 and thus also the base surface of the spacer 2, i.e. not a conventional clamping clip of a spacer 2 as is known in the prior art, but a carrier body 4 which is suitable for being firmly connected to a reinforcing bar 19 via, for example, a wire binding machine.

[0038] This solution can also ensure that both the fastening extension 5, which ends as an extension of the connecting area 7 in the transverse section 9, and the clamping extension 15 are jointly grasped during the binding process, so that with one binding process both clamping extensions 15 are connected to the reinforcing bar 19 and also to each other and thus the front and rear fastening extensions 5, 15 are wired together enclosing the reinforcing bar 19, which results in a particularly strong connection.

[0039] In addition, it is advantageous here that a whole series of spacers 2 can already be fastened to a reinforcement via these clamping extensions 15, in order then, after a previous arrangement of a plurality of spacers 2 via this spacer fastening system, for example with a wire binding machine, to fix these already positioned spacers 2 in a single operation by the corresponding creation of a wire binding 18.

[0040] Fig. 10 and Fig. 11 shows two further structural solutions that differ from the previously mentioned ones in that, on the one hand, the connecting receptacles 3 are arranged on the top side as a tunnel guide channel 22, like a bore in the spacer support plate 1. The fastening elements 17 present on the bottom side in an arrangement in concrete spacers 2 are not shown here.

[0041] A support body 4 is now inserted into these tunnel guide channels 22. The support body 4 is designed to extend in one plane and is formed from two parallel legs 13 that are connected to each other via a transverse section 9. Here, too, two fastening extensions 5 are created in this manner, which can then be connected to a reinforcing bar 19 that is guided in a support recess 20, which in turn is arranged between the tunnel guide channels 22.

[0042] It is advisable, for example, to ensure by means of a stop or a shape on the support body 4 that it is fixed in a defined position within these tunnel guide channels 22 and does not shift arbitrarily, especially if the spacer support plate 1 is arranged vertically on a reinforcement. Therefore, for example, a stop or a clamp is arranged on the parallel legs in the area of the connecting area 7, which is shown here in the drawing in Fig. 11 is not shown.

[0043] Finally, it has already been Fig.12, on the one hand, a reinforcement mat 19 is shown in detail, which here has reinforcing bars 19 arranged crosswise. Here, an arrangement of a spacer 2 using the spacer fastening system according to the invention is shown graphically as an example. The spacer 2 has a spacer carrier plate 1, which is firmly connected to this spacer 2. The spacer carrier plate 1 is equipped with a carrier body 4, which is already fastened to a vertically extending reinforcing bar 19 via a wire binding 18.

[0044] It is clear here that the support body 4 in this design has an upper and lower fastening extension 5, which rests on the reinforcing bar 19, in order to be able to arrange this quickly and efficiently on the reinforcement mat, for example using a wire binding machine. It can also be seen that a support recess 20 in the connecting surface 6 of the spacer support plate 1 is placed in a form-fitting manner on the curve of the reinforcing bar 19, in this case the horizontally running reinforcing bar 19, whereby this leads to an even better connection of the spacer fastening system to the reinforcing bar 19, on which the connecting surface 6 rests. It is also clear that here the originally parallel support body sections 8 are guided to one another by the wire binding 18 and are firmly wired to the reinforcing bar 19.
