Abstract
Description
[0001] The "Boxgrill" mobile gas top-heat grill is an innovative grilling system that combines the advantages of classic top-heat technology in a flexible and space-saving design. This grill can be quickly assembled and disassembled without screws, allowing for uncomplicated transport and space-saving storage. Unlike conventional top-heat grills, which place the grill grate as close as possible to the burner, this grill's grate is positioned lower to allow for traditional grilling. A transversely mounted infrared burner ensures even heat distribution and a generous grill opening, making the grill more versatile and user-friendly – ideal for grill enthusiasts who value mobility and compactness.
[0002] Top-heat grills are high-temperature grills that generate temperatures of up to 800°C to heat the food quickly and intensively from above. This technology was originally developed for the catering industry to prepare steaks in the shortest possible time with a flavorful crust and a juicy interior, and has now also become established in the home.
[0003] Unlike conventional grills, where the heat comes from below, top-heat grills feature a ceramic infrared burner at the top. Most models allow for continuous adjustment of the grill height, allowing the distance from the heat source to be varied and the intensity to be precisely controlled. High-quality units are usually made of heat-resistant stainless steel and feature drip trays to minimize smoke and flames caused by dripping fat.
[0004] Top-heat grills are predominantly stationary devices that are hardly suitable for mobile use due to their size, weight, and the necessary connections. A mobile version does not currently exist, as this type of grill requires a stable surface and a reliable gas or electricity source.
[0005] Another problem is the limited cooking ability for larger cuts of meat. While the extreme heat from above creates a good crust, it is not enough to cook thicker or larger cuts of meat evenly through to the core. These appliances are therefore especially designed for smaller cuts such as steaks. Furthermore, the extreme heat presents technical challenges: Top-heat grills must be made of particularly heat-resistant materials to withstand the stresses. This makes them heavier and more complex to construct. Operation also requires special care to avoid injury, making them less flexible than conventional grills.
[0006] To solve the existing problems of top heat grills, a novel concept is being developed that improves mobility and handling and ensures optimal heat distribution: • The grill is designed as a stainless steel, plug-in system without screws. This construction allows for easy transport and quick assembly, making it more mobile and flexible than conventional stationary top-heat grills. The absence of screws also simplifies assembly and disassembly. • Instead of placing the grill grate as close as possible to the burner, it is positioned lower. This increases the distance from the burner, allowing for traditional grilling like a conventional gas grill. Heat distribution is more even, reducing the risk of overheating. This concept improves control over the grilling process and ensures that even larger cuts of meat are cooked more evenly. • The infrared burner is installed horizontally, creating a larger opening for the grill. This arrangement makes it easier to load and unload food, as there's more space, and allows for even heat distribution across the entire grill surface. The larger opening also makes the grill more versatile and user-friendly. Claims
[1] Claim 1: A top-heat grill with a design and size specifically designed for use by two to four people. The size of the grill grate corresponds approximately to a DIN A4 page. [2] Claim 2: A transversely installed infrared burner which ensures even heat distribution over the entire grill surface and, due to its design, allows a generous opening of the grill at the front, which makes it easier to insert and remove the food. [3] Claim 3: A plug-in system for assembling the grill that does not require any screws, including the detailed design of the plug-in system, which allows for easy assembly, disassembly and space-saving storage.
