AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional pendulum lamps often have gaps between the canopy and the ceiling due to uneven room ceilings, which compromises the visual protection provided by the canopy.

Method used

The use of a washer with an elastic part that creates a low-pressure connection between the canopy and the ceiling, ensuring a flush and gap-free termination.

Benefits of technology

This solution achieves a permanent, optimized termination between the canopy and the ceiling, eliminating visible gaps and enhancing the visual protection of the lamp.

Abstract

Washer for optimising the seal between the ceiling and the lamp canopy, characterized in that the washer (1) has a convex shape to accommodate the canopy, a central hole for the passage of the power cables and an elastic part (2) on the canopy side and that the diameter of the washer (1) is larger than commercially available lamp canopies (at least 10 cm).

Description

Pendulum lamps / suspended lamps of conventional design have a canopy which covers the power cables in the region of the ceiling suspension as a visual protection / visual screen. The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem that, owing to the construction of conventional baldachins in conjunction with possibly uneven room ceilings, the baldachins rarely connect flush to the room ceiling and gaps can remain between room ceiling and baldachin. This problem is solved by the features set out in claim 1. The invention achieves that an optimized termination is created between the canopy and the ceiling, so that no gaps are visible any longer. An embodiment of the invention will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. The following are shown: FIGS. 1-4 a lamp canopy with a power cable (3) leading to the luminaire and the ceiling-side washer (1). The power cables of the luminaire are led through the centrally arranged hole of the washer (1) and connected to the current-carrying lines on the room ceiling. Due to the baldness-side, elastic part (2) of the washer (1), a low pressure is built up on the baldness during appropriate assembly, and a permanent, optimized termination between baldness and room ceiling is thus achieved.List of reference characters1 Washer 2 Elastic part of washer 3 Lamp Baldach with power cable leading to the luminaire

Claims

Washer for optimizing the termination between room ceiling and lamp canopy, characterized in that the washer (1) overall has a convex formation for receiving the canopy, a central hole for the cable to pass through and an elastic part (2) on the canopy side, and in that the diameter of the washer (1) is greater than commercially available lamp canopy (at least 10 cm).
