Abstract
Description
Introduction:
[0001] Escape doors in buildings must not be locked to ensure that the building can be quickly and directly exited in an emergency. To be informed about the use of an escape door that is not intended for everyday use, a so-called escape door monitor is used [cf. Fig. 1]. This technical device is mounted on / below the opening device of the escape door in such a way that the opening device of the escape door can be used, but at the same time the escape door monitor is triggered by horizontal or vertical movement [cf. Fig. 2]. The escape door monitor signals the activation of the opening device with a loud acoustic or electronic main signal. The signal can only be deactivated using an authentication method (key, numeric code). Problem:
[0002] The escape door monitor protects escape doors from being opened outside of a hazardous situation. Unauthorized activation is indicated by an acoustic signal. If the unauthorized opening of the escape door is not detected by responsible personnel despite the acoustic signal, for example, due to absence, it is important to record the time of opening for insurance purposes. Task:
[0003] A solution must be found that makes it possible to record and visually display the last triggering time of an escape door monitor.
[0004] As of now, such a solution is not known on the market. Solution to the task:
[0005] The escape door monitor should have an electronic module that stores the last time the escape door monitor was triggered. Furthermore, an electronic display on the surface should be present, on which the last time the escape door monitor was opened can be read. The visual representation should be in the form of a date and time [cf. Fig. 3]. The stored value should be resettable using an authentication method (key, numeric code). Claims
[1] The right to protection extends to (1) An escape door monitor comprising an electronic module which automatically stores a time stamp when the escape door monitor is triggered. (2) An escape door monitor according to claim 1, characterized by that the stored time stamp is displayed on an electronic display integrated in the housing. (3) An escape door monitor according to claim 2, characterized by that the display shows the stored timestamp in monochrome or multi-color. (4) An escape door monitor according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that resetting the stored timestamp is only possible by means of authentication (key, code, etc.).
