Abstract
Description
[0001] These are two silicone half-shells, minimum thickness 1.27 mm, with a non-stick coating. They are placed around a paint roller in use, whether wet or dry, and are tightly enclosed in a rigid plastic sleeve, minimum thickness 1.00 mm. The plastic sleeve is a circular cylinder without a lid, sized to fit the paint roller.
[0002] The shape of the half-shells corresponds to a cut-open cylinder, which has a recess in the form of a hole for the steel bracket on one side, thus tightly enclosing the paint roller to prevent it from drying out.
[0003] The outer dimensions of the half-shells and the plastic cover must be coordinated so that they fit tightly together and the plastic cover stays in place. This cover is used for wet or dry storage of the paint roller for extended periods, i.e., days to weeks, to avoid the need to rinse it out.
[0004] The half-shells can be turned inside out after removing the wet paint roller, ensuring a clean side is always available for storage. The dried paint on the half-shells can be easily cleaned, disposed of in the trash, and reused. The half-shells can be manufactured in various sizes, including plastic sleeves, to fit the paint roller size. Explanation drawing 1 page closed 2 recess for steel bracket 3 Page closed 4 Bottom open
Claims
[1] The silicone half-shells, minimum thickness 1.27 mm, non-stick coated, can be turned inside out, cleaned and thus used again and again. [2] The combination of silicone half-shells and a slide-on plastic cylinder ensures reliable protection against drying out of the paint roller
