Description

Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the field of mechanical processing of plant components, in particular for the post-harvest treatment of flower material by trimming leaves, among other things, as well as for the separation of fine particles (e.g. pollen) by sieving. State of the art

[0002] Devices for trimming plant material are known, as are devices for separating fine particles by rotation and sieving. Typical designs use specialized housing shapes and divide the functions among several devices. However, their combined use in a standardized container with modular functional units is not yet known. Object of the invention

[0003] The aim is to create a compact, easy-to-clean, modular device that enables both the trimming and sieving of plant components without requiring a separate housing. Solution to the task

[0004] The device comprises a standardized plastic container (7), in particular a standardized Eurobox or Euronorm container, which serves as a housing and support structure. A rotatable drum (1) is mounted in this container and is connected to a drive unit via a detachable plug-in system. The drum can be removed without tools.

[0005] The drive unit consists optionally of an electric motor (6) or a manual hand crank (10). Both drive types use a common coupling unit (4) for connection to the drum.

[0006] The drum is designed as an interchangeable functional element. In a first embodiment, it has a perforated outer surface along which a fixed cutting unit (2) made of an elastic plastic band is attached. This band has openings through which protruding plant parts are guided during rotation and mechanically cut off.

[0007] In a second embodiment, an alternative sieve drum (11) can be used. This drum has a fine sieve structure (e.g., stainless steel sieve or plastic mesh) on its outer surface. Dried plant material is moved within the drum as it rotates, whereby fine particles are separated and collected by the sieve. The cutting unit is not used in this embodiment.

[0008] The plastic container (7) provides complete mechanical support and positioning for the functional units. A separate housing is not required. The design is geared towards minimal material usage, modular cleaning, and simple manufacturing. All plant-contacting components are preferably made of food-grade plastic or stainless steel.

[0009] The device is equipped with a lid that completely covers the drum during operation. Depending on the version, the lid is either a flat, removable lid (13) or an integrated folding lid (12). This is connected to the container via a hinge or a flexible connection. Both versions prevent access during operation and allow for easy cleaning and drum replacement. Claims

[1] Device for the mechanical processing of plant materials, comprising: - a standardized plastic container (7) as a housing and carrying element, -a rotatably mounted drum (1 or 11) made of stainless steel or a functionally equivalent material, located inside the container, - a drive unit (6 or 10) for rotating the drum. [2] Device according to claim 1, characterized by , that the drive unit is optionally designed as an electric motor (6) or as a manually operated crank (10). [3] Device according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the drum is connected to the drive unit via a detachable coupling system (4). [4] Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the drum can be inserted and removed without tools. [5] Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by, that a fixed, flexible cutting unit (2) is provided along the outside of the drum, which is stretched against the drum (3), consisting of a flexible plastic band with openings through which protruding plant parts are guided and sheared off during drum rotation. [6] Device according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the drum is designed as an interchangeable functional element. [7] Device according to claim 6, characterized by , that instead of a cutting drum (1) a sieve drum (11) can be used, the outer surface of which has a fine perforation or mesh structure through which smaller plant components are separated during rotation. [8] Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by that all components that come into contact with plant material are made of food-grade plastic or stainless steel. [9] Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by , that the plastic container (7) is a standardized Eurobox or Euronorm container or a functionally comparable standard container. [10] Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by , that it is equipped with a lid (10) which is optionally designed as a removable flat lid (13) or as an integrated folding lid (12) which is connected to the container via a hinge or a flexible connection.
