Description

[0001] Many coffee machines in the lower price segment are relatively narrow and lightweight, which negatively impacts their stability. This often requires two hands to operate these machines—one to hold the machine to prevent it from tipping over, and the other to operate the machine. This leads to unpleasant coordination problems, especially with portafilter machines.

[0002] The invention of a base plate with retaining clips, as defined in claim 1, solves this problem. The weight of the base plate, combined with a correspondingly large base area and the silicone pads attached to the underside, provide the construction with sufficient stability to allow the portafilter to be operated with one hand.

[0003] Thanks to the four retaining clips that are anchored to the base plate with screws, the machine can be removed from the plate at any time, for example if liquid has run between the coffee machine and the base plate.

Claims

[1] Base plate for stabilizing coffee machines to prevent them from tipping over, characterized by that the base plate (1) with the retaining clips (2) fixed by screws (3) prevents the coffee machine from tipping over. [2] Base plate according to claim 1, characterized by that the base plate (1) is at least 25 mm, maximum 30 mm thick and has the dimensions 30x40 cm. [3] Floor plate according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the corresponding retaining clamps (2) are equipped with rubber profiles (5). [4] Floor plate according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the back of the base plate (1) is provided with anti-slip pads (7). [5] Floor plate according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the base plate (1) tapers upwards at an angle of 45 degrees.
