Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a modular system for presenting merchandise. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a sales display with presentation devices.

[0002] Typically, merchandise is presented in shop windows, display cases, and on counters using storage boxes, display cases, packaging boxes, trays, or standardized displays. Individual items and the highlights of a collection are visually emphasized on pedestals with appropriate mounting brackets.

[0003] Since retail products, such as watches, jewelry, and accessories, vary considerably in size, shape, value, material, and other characteristics, they are typically presented on displays within the retailer's available sales area. This diversity means that the displays lack a uniform appearance. Most often, individual stands, displays, and trays are simply placed side-by-side and one behind the other in one or more rows. The greater the number of items, the more disorganized, cluttered, and unattractive the overall presentation becomes. Furthermore, the spacing between individual displays requires more space, which is then unavailable for displaying additional items. Standardized displays, on the other hand, can often only be adapted to the available sales area to a limited extent, or not at all.

[0004] The invention is based on the objective of providing a device that, like a modular system, consists of standardized components (modules) and can be flexibly adapted to the available sales area as well as the type and number of goods to be presented. The device can (theoretically) be expanded or reduced in size without limit. This facilitates the presentation of a large number of different products and simultaneously creates an organized, clear, and harmonious overall effect.

[0005] The system forms a functional unit and offers suppliers maximum flexibility according to their respective requirements and individual needs. The products can be placed precisely where they will attract the most attention. This is achieved through the features of the protection claims.

[0006] The invention's solution is based on the fundamental idea that every item for sale – whether a unique piece or part of a product range – should, within the overall presentation, attract the desired attention from the audience. Furthermore, interested buyers should be provided with important information about the brand, logo, price, product category, and, if applicable, model name.

[0007] This goal is to be achieved by designing the sales display from individual components in a clear and organized manner, ensuring a tidy presentation, conveying a high-quality design, and simultaneously showcasing the maximum number of items in the smallest possible space. Furthermore, the system should be flexibly configurable and expandable as needed to meet individual requirements.

[0008] The presentation device consists of three basic modules: base, cushion and clamp modules, as well as additional components (cushions, clamps, back panel, cover plate (so-called "wild card"), front rail, price tag, logo plate, stand module). 1. Substructure modules

[0009] The use of substructure modules offers the possibility of arranging presentation modules on several levels at different heights or in a stair-like fashion.

[0010] The base modules can be stacked to any height. Their base area corresponds precisely to that of the cushion and clamp modules.

[0011] The adaptation of the overall presentation to specific local conditions, as well as to the type, number and size of the products on display, is possible at any time, even retrospectively.

[0012] The modules are connected to each other underneath the floor by clamps. The modules are made of fiber-reinforced plastic. 2. Cushion and brace modules (presentation modules)

[0013] Presentation modules are designed to hold cushions or cushion rolls (cushion modules) or clips (clip modules) as product carriers. Products can be placed on cushions or cushion rolls or clips in two rows on two levels on each module. The modules are made of fiber-reinforced plastic.

[0014] Single or multiple modules can be placed on the sales floor either directly together with a base plate or on one or more substructure modules.

[0015] Furthermore, their orientation can be in one or more directions – even opposing ones.

[0016] Multiple modules can be placed side-by-side and / or one behind the other on the same level, or at different heights within a row. Individual items, such as highlights of a collection, can be emphasized. Furthermore, single or group placements with just one or a few modules are possible to group products by theme or within specific categories. 3. Pillows, bolster pillows

[0017] To securely and permanently fix the displayed items, which can vary considerably in size, shape, weight, etc., the cushions used as supports must be correspondingly flexible. They are therefore designed to be suitable for mounting larger, bulkier items in their unfurled state and, when compressed, to fit even small, delicate items perfectly.

[0018] Each cushion has a holder on the front for the price tag and QR code. Because the price tag with the QR code is easily accessible, inventory checks and stocktaking are simplified and accelerated. The holder snaps into place on the cushion using its long, narrow side. Two spare price tag holders are included in the rear row of modules for each cushion.

[0019] Larger sales displays can also be equipped with one or more roll cushions. These are placed on two adjacent cushion modules instead of regular cushions. This allows individual models to be highlighted within the overall presentation. 4. Clasps

[0020] The clamp modules are equipped on two levels with two horizontally and parallel grooves each for receiving clamps.

[0021] Sales items can be variably placed and presented in an organized and clear manner on the clips attached to the clamp module or to the back panel, which is also grooved. 5. Back panel

[0022] Each cushion or clip module can be fitted with a matching back panel. The back panel is available in three different sizes. The medium and large back panels each feature three horizontal and parallel grooves into which clips can be placed to hold merchandise.

[0023] Above the grooves, lettering, logos and other branding marks can also be applied to the available free space. 6. Cover plate (Wild-Card)

[0024] Each cushion module can be fitted with a cover plate ("wild card") instead of a cushion. The wild card can highlight the special features of the displayed goods, such as material, technology, special properties, or a manufacturer's warranty. Specific themes can also be highlighted for individual products or product groups.

[0025] In larger display variants, the unprinted wild card serves as a placeholder or spacer between individual modules.

[0026] The Wild Card is also used alongside a stand module with hanging device (item 9). 7. Front rail

[0027] Cushion modules and brace modules in the first row can be fitted with an aluminum front rail on the front face, which contains a print, e.g. brand, logo, model name or other markings and information.

[0028] Individual topics can also be designated, allowing for the creation of small special placements for products related to that topic. 8. Logo plate

[0029] Instead of a cushion or clamp module, a logo plate with a printed design can also be integrated into the device using two base modules. This alternative can be particularly advantageous for larger presentations or sales displays without a back panel. 9. Stand module

[0030] Each cushion module can be fitted with a stand module instead of a cushion. The stand module is a molded plastic part with a recess for the stand and an opening for a chain, cord, or similar support. Excessive chains and cords that might detract from the overall appearance are neatly tucked away beneath the module, resulting in a high-quality and tidy presentation.

[0031] When using a stand module on the cushion module, the remaining space must be filled with a wild card (without a print).
