AI Technical Summary
Existing methods for assembling balustrades fail to efficiently center tubular handrail profiles on baluster posts without causing damage, particularly when dealing with varying diameters and pin sizes, and lack flexibility in mounting options.
A universal device comprising two base bodies with a pivoting fork and a clamping mechanism that accommodates different handrail diameters and pin sizes, allowing for secure attachment without damaging the tube surfaces.
Enables quick and damage-free assembly of tubular handrails on baluster posts, accommodating various diameters and pin sizes, with a flexible mounting system that prevents slipping.

Abstract
Description
[0001]The invention is a universal device for centering tubular handrail profiles on baluster posts with a pin-like end. The device is used temporarily during the assembly of balustrades to attach the handrail to the baluster post. (See drawing 1, part 1 device, part 2 post, part 3 handrail) The main components of the device are made of plastic to prevent damage to the tube surfaces. The device consists of two base bodies (21 and 22). The inner distance of the fork corresponds to the largest diameter or width of the handrail (1) and is tangentially aligned with the smaller diameters via a pivoting motion. This allows all commercially available handrails with diameters of 48.3, 42.4, and 33.7 mm to be centered. A slot is provided in the lower section, centrally located on the fork, to receive the pin on the post (2).The slot is designed to allow standard pin diameters of 10, 12, 14, and 16 mm to be clamped centrally. The base (22) is fixed by clamping the pin using two screws (23). For mounting stair railings, the fork can optionally be clamped with a force-fit connection, thus preventing the handrail from slipping. The design of the base (23) allows for quick and easy relocation of the mounting points.
