Description

Technical area

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of folding poles, in particular to a pivot joint with a locking control device and a foldable pole assembly. State of the art

[0002] Foldable pole assemblies are the central supporting structure of folding furniture (e.g. folding chairs, folding beds) and portable devices, whose center of gravity lies in the rotating connecting joints - a lockable joint node to fix the extension of the pole and to store it in a foldable manner.

[0003] Existing foldable pole assemblies (such as folding chair supports) often use pin- or knob-type locking joints, which have obvious shortcomings: 1) Inconvenient operation: Unlocking requires two-handed operation (e.g., pulling the pin and turning the nut), and quick folding with one hand is impossible. 2) Insufficient reliability: Pins can accidentally come loose, leading to locking failure, and knobs can loosen due to vibration. 3) Exposed structure: The locking parts are exposed and prone to contamination or mechanical damage. 4) Large space requirement: The external locking mechanism increases the volume of the joints and compromises the compactness of the folding.

[0004] Therefore, it is necessary to find a technical solution to the above problem. Content of the invention

[0005] In order to solve the technical problems of the prior art, this invention aims to provide a swivel joint with a locking control device and a foldable rod assembly to solve the above-mentioned technical problems.

[0006] To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the invention offers the following technical solutions: Swivel joint with a locking control device, comprising: a first connecting part and a second connecting part which are rotatably connected, wherein a locking cavity is provided between the first connecting part and the second connecting part; wherein a pressure cavity is provided on the first connecting part or the second connecting part; a locking member mounted in the locking cavity, the locking member having a locking position and an unlocking position within the locking cavity; wherein the first connecting member and the second connecting member do not rotate relative to each other when the locking member is in the locking position, and wherein the first connecting member and the second connecting member rotate relative to each other when the locking member is in the unlocking position; an elastic member mounted in the locking cavity, the elastic member abutting the locking member so that the locking member is in the locked position; and a pressure part mounted in the pressure cavity, a first part of which abuts the locking part and a second part of which is exposed from the first connecting part or the second connecting part; wherein, when the pressing part is pressed, the locking part is in the unlocking position; and wherein, when the pressing part is released, the locking part is in the locking position.

[0007] Preferably, the first connecting part and the second connecting part are provided with mounting recesses, wherein, when the first connecting part and the second connecting part are connected to each other, the positions of the mounting recesses of the first connecting part and the second connecting part correspond to each other; wherein the locking part comprises a projection that is displaceable in a mounting recess of the first connecting part and the second connecting part; wherein, when the locking part is in the locking position, the projection is arranged entirely within the mounting recess of the first connecting part or the second connecting part; wherein, when the locking part is in the unlocking position, the projection is arranged between corresponding mounting recesses of the first connecting part and the second connecting part.

[0008] Preferably, one of the two connecting parts is provided with a boundary plate having a through hole and the other with a post having a through hole, wherein the first connecting part and the second connecting part are connected to the through hole of the boundary plate by bolts through the post.

[0009] Preferably, the locking member is provided with a recessed bore, wherein the locking member is arranged outside the post through the recessed bore when the locking member is mounted in the locking cavity.

[0010] Preferably, the second part of the pressure part is a cap portion exposed outside the pressure cavity, and the first part is a pressure foot extending into the locking cavity and abutting the locking part.

[0011] Preferably, a limiting projection is provided at the end of the pressure foot, which prevents the pressure part from being displaced from the locking cavity.

[0012] Preferably, the number of pressure feet is two, wherein, when the pressure feet extend into the locking cavity, the limiting plate is arranged between two of the pressure feet and blocks the relative movement of the two pressure feet.

[0013] Preferably, the first connecting part and the second connecting part are both provided with interfaces for connection to a rod part.

[0014] Preferably, this pivot joint further comprises two articulated reinforcement plates which are articulated to one another, wherein two of the articulated reinforcement plates are each connected to the first connecting part and the second connecting part.

[0015] A foldable pole assembly having the pivot with a locking control device, comprising a pivot with a locking control device as mentioned above and a pole member attached to the pivot with a locking control device.

[0016] In the present invention, a locking cavity is provided between the connecting parts, and an elastic part, a locking part and a pressing part are arranged in the locking cavity, and by the pressing action of the pressing part, the locking part overcomes the elasticity of the elastic part and releases from the locking position, so as to realize the instantaneous unlocking and free rotation of the rod assembly, which is easy to operate, and the unlocking operation is easy to operate, and the operation can be folded quickly and efficiently by one-hand operation.

[0017] In the present invention, a locking part is provided in the locking cavity, and both the locking and unlocking are located in the locking cavity, which is very reliable and avoids the occurrence of problems such as accidental disengagement leading to failure of the locking and easy loosening of the knob due to vibration.

[0018] The locking member of the present invention is subjected to the elastic force of the elastic member within the locking cavity. After the pressure member is released, the elastic member automatically pushes the locking member into the locking position, ensuring that the rod assembly is rigidly locked in the unfolded state and significantly improving the anti-vibration displacement capability. Furthermore, the locking member and the elastic member are arranged within the locking cavity, reducing the exposed parts, reducing the volume of the joint, and providing good folding compactness. [0026] Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of the structure of a foldable pole assembly having the pivot joint with a locking control device of the present invention.

[0027] As in Fig. 1 to 18, a foldable pole assembly with the pivot joint with a locking control device comprises a pivot joint with a locking control device 100 and a pole part 200 which is attached to the pivot joint with a locking control device 100, and by connecting the pivot joint with a locking control device 100, the pole parts 200 can be rotated relative to each other, and the pole parts 200 can be locked together by the pivot joint with a locking control device 100 so that the pole parts 200 can be folded and unfolded.

[0028] As in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the swivel joint with a locking control device 100 comprises a first connecting part 110, a second connecting part 120, a locking part 130, a pressing part 140 and an elastic part 150.

[0029] As in Fig. 4 to 14, the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are rotatably connected to each other, wherein both the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are provided with an interface 111 for connecting the rod part 200.

[0030] Specifically, in this embodiment, the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are provided to have a circular structure 112 at one end and an interface 111 having a shape adapted to the shape of the rod part 200 at the other end. When the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are connected to each other, they can be coaxially provided through the end of the circular structure 112 and screwed together. Moreover, the bolts between the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are not locked, and the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can also be rotated relative to each other, so that the rod parts 200 connected between the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can be folded or unfolded relative to each other, that is, the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are articulated relative to each other.

[0031] Preferably, one of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 is provided with a post 113 and the other with a limiting plate 121, the post 113 and the limiting plate 121 being provided with through holes 114. When the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are connected, the through hole 114 on the post 113 corresponds to the through hole 114 on the limiting plate 121, and the bolt is screwed into the post 113 from outside the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120 and passed through the through hole 114 of the limiting plate 121 to cooperate with the nut to connect the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 to each other. In particular, in this embodiment, the first connecting part 110 is provided with a post 113, and the second connecting part 120 is provided with a limiting plate 121.

[0032] Preferably, the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are both provided with an articulated reinforcement plate 160 when connected, wherein one end of the articulated reinforcement plate 160 is connected to the interface 111 of the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, and the other end is connected to the junction of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120. In particular, the articulated reinforcement plate 160, as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 12, provided in two parts, one end of which is connected to the interface 111 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120, and the other end of which is connected to the end of the circular structure 112 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120, whereby the connection between the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can be strengthened;Furthermore, the articulated reinforcing plates 160 are rotatably connected to the junction of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120, so that the articulated reinforcing plates 160 do not interfere with the rotation of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 relative to each other, and by means of the articulated reinforcing plates 160, it is possible to reinforce the articulated connection between the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 to prevent the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 from being detached from each other.

[0033] When the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are connected to each other, a locking cavity 100a is formed therein, and the elastic part 150 and the locking part 130 are mounted in the locking cavity 100a where the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are connected; the locking part 130 has a locking position and an unlocking position within the locking cavity 100a, and the locking part 130 can be moved between the locking position and the unlocking position, thereby locking or unlocking the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 from each other, so that the rod parts 200 connected between the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can be rotated relative to each other;the elastic member 150 is provided in the locking cavity 100a and against the locking member 130 and is capable of generating an elastic force on the locking member 130 to hold the locking member 130 in the locking position, and preferably the elastic member 150 is fitted onto the post 113;

[0034] As in Fig. 14 and Fig. 18, one of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 is further provided with a pressing cavity 100b, the pressing part 140 being arranged within the pressing cavity 100b, the pressing part 140 comprising a first part and a second part, the first part of the pressing part 140 being pressed against the locking part 130 within the locking cavity 100a, the second part of one of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 being exposed to be pressed on the outside; When the pressure member 140 is pressed against the locking member 130, this causes the locking member 130 to overcome the elastic action of the elastic member 150 and move from the locking position to the unlocking position, allowing the first connecting member 110 and the second connecting member 120 to rotate relative to each other. However, when the pressure member 140 is released, the locking member 130 is moved from the unlocking position to the locking position by the elastic force of the elastic member 150, and the first connecting member 110 and the second connecting member 120 are locked together, preventing them from rotating relative to each other.

[0035] Specifically, in this embodiment, the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are each provided with a mounting recess 115 at the end of the circular structure 112. When the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are connected to each other, the mounting recesses 115 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 correspond to each other and together form a locking cavity 100a for receiving the locking part 130. The shape of the locking part 130 fits into the mounting recess 115 and has a projection 133 that can be mounted in the mounting recess 115 and moved in the mounting recess 115 to move the locking part 130 into the locking cavity 100a. The locking part 130 is in an unlocking position (in an unlocked state).when the projection 133 of the locking part 130 is arranged within the locking cavity 100a completely within the mounting recess 115 of the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, and the locking part 130 is located partially in the mounting recess 115 of the first connecting part 110 and partially in the mounting recess 115 of the second connecting part 120, that is, the locking part 130 is in a locking position (in a locked state) when the projection 133 is arranged between the mounting recess 115 corresponding to the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120, wherein the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are blocked by the locking part 130 against rotation relative to each other, and the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are locked together.,

[0036] Preferably, the elastic member 150 is a spring, and a spring recess 131 is provided on one side of the locking member 130. When both the locking member 130 and the elastic member 150 are mounted in the locking cavity 100a, the locking member 130 is snapped onto one end of the elastic member 150 by means of the spring recess 131, and the other end of the elastic member 150 is pressed against the side wall of the locking cavity 100a (at the bottom of the mounting recess 115 of the first connecting member 110 or the second connecting member 120), so that the elastic member 150 can exert a resilient force on the locking member 130. Specifically, in this embodiment, the elastic member 150 is disposed within the first connecting member 110.

[0037] Preferably, the pressure member 140 is a circular cap structure having a second part of a cap portion 141 protruding from the locking cavity 100a and a first part of two pressure feet 142 provided below the cap portion 141; during assembly, the pressure member 140 is used to press the locking member 130 by extending the pressure member 140 into the locking cavity 100a against the locking member 130.

[0038] Preferably, the pressure part 140 is as shown in Fig. 10 and Fig. 11, further provided with a limiting projection 1421 to limit the disengagement of the pressing part 140 within the locking cavity 100a.Specifically, in this embodiment, the restricting protrusion 1421 is provided on the pressing foot 142, and both pressing feet 142 are provided with the restricting protrusion 1421, wherein the size of the two restricting protrusions 1421 is larger than the size of the mounting holes. During assembly, the two pressing feet 142 can be pressed to move relative to each other, so that the distance between the two restricting protrusions 1421 becomes smaller, and the pressing feet 142 can be inserted into the locking cavity 100a through the mounting holes; when no pressure is applied, the distance between the two pressing feet 142 is restored, and the distance between the restricting protrusions 1421 is larger than the size of the mounting holes, thereby restricting the pressing feet 142 and preventing the pressing feet 142 from coming out.

[0039] Preferably, the pressure part 140 protrudes at least partially from one of the two parts provided with a limiting plate 121, the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, wherein the width of the limiting plate 121 is slightly smaller than the width between the two pressure feet 142, and wherein the pressure feet 142 are arranged on each side of the limiting plate 121 when they are inserted into the locking cavity 100a, and due to the action of the limiting plate 121, it is difficult for the two pressure feet 142 inserted into the locking cavity 100a to move relative to each other, so that the limiting projection 1421 can always limit the pressure feet 142 in the locking cavity 100a.

[0040] As in Fig. 13 and Fig. 14, the locking part 130 can overcome the elastic action of the elastic part 150 when the pressure part 140 is pressed, the locking part 130 is located completely within the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, and the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are not locked together and can be rotated; as shown in Fig. 15 to 18, the locking part 130 is in a locking position and the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are locked when the pressing part 140 is not pressed and the locking part 130 is arranged partially in the mounting recess 115 of the first connecting part 110 and partially in the mounting recess 115 of the second connecting part 120 under the action of the elastic part 150.

[0041] Preferably, the locking member 130 is also provided with a recessed bore 132 bypassing the post 113, the post 113 passing through the recessed bore 132 when the locking member 130 is mounted in the locking cavity 100a, and the locking member 130 can also rotate about the post 113.

[0042] The rod part 200 is a straight or irregular rod, at one end of which a first mounting hole is provided, and the interfaces 111 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 are also provided with a second mounting hole; after the rod part 200 is inserted into the interface 111 of the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, the rod part 200 can be secured in the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120 by screwing in the first mounting hole and the second mounting hole.

[0043] In use, the foldable rod assembly of the swivel joint with a locking control device 100 can be used on a folding chair, wherein the rod set is used as a support frame for the folding chair; when the folding chair is to be unfolded, the rod part 200, which is connected to the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120, is unfolded by 180 degrees, at which time the locking part 130 is in a locking position within the locking cavity 100a;When the folding chair needs to be folded, the pressing part 140 is pressed, and the pressing part 140 presses the locking part 130 to be in an unlocked position in the locking cavity 100a, so that the rod parts 200 connected to the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can be rotated relative to each other. At this moment, the mounting recesses 115 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 do not correspond to each other, and the locking part 130 overcomes the elastic force of the elastic part 150 in the mounting recesses 115 of either the first connecting part 110 or the second connecting part 120, and the rod parts 200 of the first connecting part 110 and the second connecting part 120 can be rotated at will, so that the folding chair is folded.

[0044] It will be appreciated that the foldable pole assembly having a pivot with a locking control device 100 may be provided in more than one group in the folding chair as desired.

[0045] The above-described embodiments are only a few of the embodiments of the invention. Those skilled in the art will recognize various modifications and improvements of the present invention as long as they do not deviate from the inventive spirit.
