Description

[0001] The invention relates to a work platform for persons, with at least one support frame.

[0002] The use of photovoltaic elements to generate electricity has been increasingly observed in Germany for several decades. Photovoltaic elements are installed, for example, on fenced-off areas and, if necessary, tracked to follow the sun's path.

[0003] Photovoltaic panels are also regularly installed on roofs. Large roofs are preferred, such as those of agricultural or commercial buildings. These roofs often have the disadvantage of not being fall-proof. Access to these roofs is prohibited due to the risk of falling through.

[0004] This risk of falling through the roof is not eliminated by covering such a roof with photovoltaic elements. Photovoltaic elements themselves are not fall-through resistant, and accidents have already occurred. When unauthorized persons have attempted to carry out necessary repairs or replacements on photovoltaic elements themselves, penetrations through the glass photovoltaic elements and the roofs themselves have occurred.

[0005] Even with a suitable work platform, working on roofs that are not fall-proof is still limited. Work can only be carried out from the platform, and many tasks cannot then be performed with the necessary care.

[0006] The invention is based on the objective of demonstrating a work platform of the aforementioned type with which all work can be carried out carefully even on a roof that is not fall-through resistant.

[0007] This problem is solved according to the invention in that the work platform is suspended from the support frame and that each person is connected to the support frame in a person-carrying manner via personal protective equipment with a pull rope, wherein the support frame has lifting means for at least one lifting device.

[0008] In the work platform according to the invention, the existing support frame serves two purposes: firstly, to hold the work platform, and secondly, to secure the persons working on the work platform. For this purpose, the personal protective equipment (PPE) with a pull rope, which persons in this work environment already wear, is connected to the support frame. If a fall occurs, the pull rope secures the person to the support frame, thus advantageously preventing further fall and any impact injuries.

[0009] Furthermore, the support frame is designed to include lifting rigging for a lifting device. The lifting device allows the support frame to be lifted above a roof. Both the work platform and the haul ropes of the personal protective equipment are suspended from the support frame or connected to it in a way that supports the person. Since the work platform is located below the support frame, people exiting the platform also occur at a level below the frame. The support frame is thus positioned at a greater height, and the haul ropes of the personal protective equipment connected to it run at a more favorable, steeper angle.

[0010] According to a first further development of the invention, the work platform is designed in a basket-like shape. The head shape can be created, for example, by a railing that, when closed, protects people from falling out, but has doors for opening so that people can step out onto the roof.

[0011] The work platform preferably has a platform-like floor with elastic support sections arranged along its outer edge. Suspended from the support frame, the work platform can be brought close to the roof using the lifting device and the support frame, and then carefully lowered onto the roof. The platform is lowered using the provided support sections, which are elastically designed. These support sections are preferably tubes arranged along the edges of the floor.

[0012] A further embodiment of the invention provides that the work platform is suspended from the support frame by means of ropes. The ropes can be steel cables with the necessary load-bearing capacity. The work platform preferably has attachment points for the ropes on its outer surface.

[0013] In a further embodiment of the invention, the support frame is provided to be a frame. The frame preferably has corner areas, to which eyelets are assigned. The eyelets preferably form lifting points for the lifting device, but they also serve as suspension points for the work platform on the frame.

[0014] To further develop the invention, the frame can be made of steel. A crane can be used as the lifting device, the crane cable of which can be attached to the support frame.

[0015] For the workers, the connection of the personal protective equipment's pull cord to the carrying frame is designed using connecting elements that can be moved along the frame. These connecting elements can be moved on the frame, thus improving the workers' freedom of movement.

[0016] An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1: a perspective view of a roof to which a work platform according to the invention is approached; Fig. 2: a perspective view of the work platform according to Fig. 1 and Fig. 3: a side view of the work platform according to Fig. 1 after they were placed on the roof.

[0017] The in Fig. The roof 1 shown consists of several flat roof sections. Above the roof 1, the work platform 2 according to the invention is suspended from a crane cable 9, and two persons 3 are accommodated in the work platform 2.

[0018] The crane cable 9 has a hook 4 at its end. Four chains 5 are attached to the hook 4; these chains do not lead to the work platform 2, but to a frame 6 above the work platform 2. The frame 6 is a support structure for the work platform 2, as the work platform 2 is suspended from the frame 6 by cables 7.

[0019] The work platform 2 has a railing 8 that keeps the persons 3 safely on the work platform 2.

[0020] Fig. Figure 2 shows the work platform 2 at an enlarged scale. The work platform 2 has a platform-like floor 10, to which the railing 8 is attached. The persons 3 stand on the floor 10 and some hold onto the railing 8. Each person 3 is additionally secured by personal protective equipment with a haul rope 11, as the haul rope 11 is connected to the frame 6 via ring-shaped connectors 12.

[0021] The frame 6 is rectangular. In each corner, a frame section 6' with eyelets is arranged, increasing the frame cross-section. Two eyelets are provided in each corner, positioned one above the other. The chains 5, by which the frame 6 is suspended from the crane cable 9, are attached to the upper eyelets. The cables 7, by which the work platform 2 is suspended from the frame 6, are attached to the lower eyelets.

[0022] The work platform 2 has 10 attachment sections 13 at its edges in a plane below the ground. These are shaped like tubes.

[0023] Fig. Figure 3 shows that the work platform 2, with its attachment sections 13, is positioned on the roof 1. One person 3 has left the work platform 2 and is performing work. They are secured to the frame 6 via the tether 11 of their personal protective equipment. The other person 3 remains on the work platform 2 and operates the crane, which is guided by the crane cable 9.
