Abstract

A transport system comprising: a plurality of support structures installed above ground level, each support structure comprising vertical columns and horizontal beams; a plurality of transport lines supported by the support structures, the transport lines arranged at vertical intervals to form a multi-stage transport configuration; a plurality of vehicle units suspended from the respective transport lines and designed for movement along predefined transport routes; power supply lines operationally connected to the transport lines to provide the vehicle units with electrical energy for propulsion; propulsion mechanisms provided in the vehicle units to enable forward and reverse movement along the transport lines;and station structures equipped with cranes for the maintenance and handling of the vehicle units, characterized in that: the plurality of transport lines is designed for independent operation within a common structural frame; and the plurality of transport lines includes at least one upward-direction transport line and at least one downward-direction transport line designed for simultaneous bidirectional transport.
