Abstract

An event-driven alerting system (100) for real-time detection and notification of disruptions in the supply chain, wherein the system (100) comprises: an event acquisition unit configured to acquire event data from one or more internal enterprise systems and external information sources; an event processing unit configured to normalize, validate, correlate, and analyze the acquired event data to generate one or more composite operational events; a disruption detection unit configured to detect, classify, and prioritize one or more disruption events in the supply chain based on the generated composite operational events;a predictive risk assessment unit designed to determine the probability of disruption, operational severity, and potential chain reactions across one or more supply chain units; an impact analysis unit designed to assess dependency relationships between suppliers, logistics service providers, production facilities, distribution centers, and other operational units to determine the business impact associated with each detected disruption; an alert generation unit configured to generate prioritized alert notifications based on the severity of the disruption, its operational impact, the responsibilities of those involved, and predefined notification policies;a stakeholder notification unit configured to automatically transmit generated alerts to one or more designated stakeholders via one or more communication channels; and a processing unit configured to coordinate the operation of the event acquisition unit, event processing unit, incident detection unit, predictive risk assessment unit, impact analysis unit, alert generation unit, and stakeholder notification unit, wherein the system (100) continuously acquires operational event data, dynamically detects incident events, predicts cascading operational impacts, prioritizes generated alerts, and automatically notifies relevant stakeholders in real time to improve supply chain resilience, business continuity, and decision-making.
