AI Technical Summary
Existing rockers for electric vehicle current collectors lack mobility and deformation compensation, requiring complex bearing arrangements that are cumbersome and prone to wear under high loads and dynamic forces.
A rocker design featuring a torsion spring connected to a lever arrangement and a bearing device, functioning as both a torque transmission and spring device, which decouples longitudinal and transverse forces, allowing for adaptive load compensation and reduced wear.
This design results in a lightweight, compact, and robust current collection system that reduces the load on the rocker, prevents damage from high-frequency loads, and simplifies assembly and maintenance, while minimizing the risk of overloading and excessive wear.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a rocker for a current collector of a vehicle, having at least one first contact strip which is connected to a first lever arrangement which is coupled to a first bearing device, and to a second lever arrangement which is coupled to a second bearing device, wherein the first bearing device and the second bearing device are articulated to a current collector linkage.
[0002] Electric vehicles often have pantographs (e.g., single-arm or scissor-type pantographs, etc.) that collect current from a contact wire or conductor rail, etc., and supply electricity to the vehicles' electric drives. Particularly at high speeds, large forces act on a pantograph. These include, on the one hand, contact forces between the contact strips of a pantograph's switch and the contact wire or conductor rail, etc., and, on the other hand, aerodynamic forces from dynamic pressure.
[0003] It is therefore important to effectively spring the rocker, which contacts the contact wire or the conductor rail, etc. via one or more contact strips, in order to relieve the load on the current collector rod and to avoid contact losses between the current collector and the contact wire or the conductor rail, etc.
[0004] EP 2 644 433 A2, for example, is known from the prior art. It shows a pantograph with a pantograph rod and a tiltable rocker, which rests on a contact wire via contact strips. The pantograph rod has an upper arm and a lower arm, as well as a pneumatic actuator, supports the rocker, and is articulated on a vehicle. The actuator allows the rocker to be raised and lowered.
[0005] Furthermore, WO 02 / 32714 A1 describes a frame rocker for a current collector of an electric vehicle, wherein two stiffened frames are articulated to two contact strips. The frames have frame tubes in which torsion springs run. The rocker is connected to a center shaft of the current collector via these torsion springs. A first torsion spring is coupled to a first end of the center shaft, and a second torsion spring is coupled to a second end of the center shaft. The torsion springs are connected in a rotationally fixed manner to retaining pieces connected to the center shaft via bearing elements.
[0006] Furthermore, EP 0 844 131 A1 also discloses a frame rocker with contact strips for a current collector of an electric vehicle. The contact strips are rigidly connected to retaining elements connected to a center shaft of the current collector via U-shaped spring clips, whose legs extend transversely to a vehicle's longitudinal direction.
[0007] Furthermore, EP 1 361 103 B1 discloses a rocker for a pantograph of an electric vehicle, which is connected to an upper arm of the pantograph via lever devices, shafts, and springs designed independently of the shafts. The shafts are mounted axially and radially in support tubes. Torques are introduced into the shaft via the lever devices, and corresponding reaction torques are generated by the springs, with the springs being connected to the shafts on the one hand and to the support tubes on the other. US 2002 / 086558 A1 discloses a pantograph for a rail vehicle, wherein a rocker with contact strips is coupled to a pantograph linkage, according to the prior art.
[0008] The approaches mentioned in their known forms have the disadvantage that the rockers or the contact strips do not have a pronounced mobility compared to rods or upper arms or crown shafts and that deformations are hardly compensated and / or that complex bearing arrangements, which for example have shafts and springs, are provided between the rocker and the upper arm.
[0009] The invention is based on the object of providing a rocker which is further developed compared to the prior art and which is structurally simple but nevertheless designed to withstand loads, also with regard to dynamic loads.
[0010] According to the invention, this object is achieved with a rocker of the type mentioned at the outset, in which a first torsion spring is fixedly connected to a lever of the first lever arrangement and in a rotationally fixed manner via a displaceable bearing to the first bearing device, or the first torsion spring is rotationally fixedly connected to a lever of the first lever arrangement and in a rotationally fixed manner via a displaceable bearing to the first bearing device, wherein the first torsion spring is simultaneously a torque transmission device and a spring device between the first lever arrangement and the first bearing device.
[0011] This results in a particularly lightweight, compact, yet robust, and low-wear current collection arrangement. Complex bearing arrangements between the rocker and the current collector linkage, such as shafts encased in coil springs, are eliminated. The arrangement according to the invention can be implemented with a small number of components, which also exhibit low component complexity.
[0012] The first torsion spring functions both as a torque transmission device and as a spring device. Contact forces transmitted from a contact wire or conductor rail via the first contact strip are transferred to the first torsion spring via the first lever arrangement. Due to the applied torsional moments, the first torsion spring is twisted. Due to the corresponding torsional spring stiffness, corresponding reaction spring forces counteract the applied torsional moments. Loading and unloading processes of the first contact strip and the first lever arrangement are cushioned, thereby achieving a mechanically decoupled rocker bearing.
[0013] The first torsion spring is decoupled from forces acting on the rocker in the vehicle's longitudinal and transverse directions.
[0014] This rocker bearing is adapted to loads caused by contact forces and aerodynamic forces, including high-frequency dynamic loads. Length changes in the first torsion spring, e.g., caused by torsion of the first torsion spring, are compensated for by the movable bearing. This relieves the load on the rocker and prevents damage, especially under heavy and / or high-frequency loads.
[0015] It is advantageous if the first torsion spring is mounted in a form-fitting and pre-tensioned manner.
[0016] If the first torsion spring is firmly connected to a lever of the first lever assembly, this simplifies assembly and disassembly. For assembly, the first lever assembly or a lever of the first lever assembly simply needs to be threaded into the first bearing device with the pre-mounted first torsion spring and then connected to the bearing device.
[0017] Preloading the first torsion spring results in a suspension behavior adapted to a defined load case.
[0018] An advantageous embodiment is obtained if the first bearing device has a clamping piece to which the first torsion spring is connected.
[0019] This allows for a favorable modularity of the rocker bearing. For example, it makes it possible to subsequently replace the clamping piece while retaining the first bearing device, which can be connected to the pantograph linkage, in order to replace the first torsion spring with a different torsion spring (e.g., due to wear or a change in the load case).
[0020] It is helpful if the first bearing device has a first housing, wherein the first torsion spring is arranged within the first housing.
[0021] This measure protects the first torsion spring from environmental influences (e.g. moisture and particles, etc.).
[0022] In order to promote simple and rapid replacement of the clamping piece and the first torsion spring and at the same time to protect the clamping piece from environmental influences, it can further be provided that the clamping piece is connected to the first housing in a rotationally fixed and detachable manner and is arranged within the first housing.
[0023] The simple and rapid replaceability of the first torsion spring is further improved if a first receiving device is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a lever of the first lever arrangement and rotatably to the first housing, wherein the first torsion spring is connected to the first lever arrangement via the first receiving device.
[0024] The first receiving device thus acts as an adapter for the first torsion spring on the one hand and the first lever arrangement on the other hand.
[0025] An advantageous solution is achieved if a second contact strip is provided which is connected to a third lever arrangement which is coupled to the first bearing device, and to a fourth lever arrangement which is coupled to the second bearing device, wherein a third torsion spring, which is simultaneously a torque transmission device and spring device between the third lever arrangement and the first bearing device, is fixedly connected to a lever of the third lever arrangement and non-rotatably connected via a displaceable bearing to the first bearing device or is non-rotatably connected via a displaceable bearing to a lever of the third lever arrangement and fixedly connected to the first bearing device.
[0026] It is advantageous if the third torsion spring is connected to the tensioning piece.
[0027] Due to a separation of the first torsion spring and the third torsion spring by means of the tensioning piece, the first torsion spring and the third torsion spring can adapt almost independently of each other to respective load conditions on the first contact strip and the second contact strip, whereby the rocker according to the invention has a low tendency to overload, damage caused thereby and a low tendency to excessive wear.
[0028] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments.
[0029] Examples include: Fig. 1: A schematic representation of an exemplary current collector as a side view, Fig. 2: A schematic representation of an exemplary first embodiment of a rocker according to the invention as a first side view, wherein a first contact strip is visible, Fig. 3: A schematic, sectional representation of the exemplary first embodiment of a rocker according to the invention as a second side view, wherein a first contact strip and a second contact strip are visible and wherein torsion spring elements are connected to a clamping piece via movable bearings, and Fig. 4: A schematic, sectional representation of a section of an exemplary second embodiment of a rocker according to the invention as a side view, wherein a first contact strip and a second contact strip are visible and wherein torsion spring elements are connected to lever arrangements via movable bearings.

[0035] The first contact strip 13 and the second contact strip 14 are parallel to a vehicle transverse axis 25, which Fig. 1 appears projecting. The first bearing device 18 and the second bearing device 19 are aligned parallel to a vehicle longitudinal axis 26, ie rotated by 90° to the first contact strip 13 and the second contact strip 14 due to the first lever arrangement 15, the second lever arrangement 16, the third lever arrangement 17 and the fourth lever arrangement.
[0036] In Fig. 2 An exemplary first embodiment of a rocker according to the invention is disclosed as a schematic first side view.

[0043] The second contact strip 14, the third lever arrangement 17, the fourth lever arrangement, the third receiving device 36 and the fourth receiving device are arranged in relation to one another and are of the same construction as the first contact strip 13, the first lever arrangement 15, the second lever arrangement 16, the first receiving device 34 and the second receiving device 35, but are connected to the first housing 20 and the second housing rotated by 180° with respect to the first contact strip 13, the first lever arrangement 15, the second lever arrangement 16, the first receiving device 34 and the second receiving device 35.
[0044] A first torsion spring 21 is provided within the first housing 20 and is firmly connected to the first receiving device 34 by means of a screw connection, and thus firmly connected to the second lever 28 of the first lever arrangement 15.
[0045] A second torsion spring 22 is provided within the second housing and is firmly connected to the second receiving device 35, and thus to the fourth lever 30 of the second lever arrangement 16, by means of a screw connection.

[0048] The first torsion spring 21, the second torsion spring 22, the third torsion spring 23 and the fourth torsion spring have rectangular cross sections.
[0049] The first torsion spring 21 and the third torsion spring 23 are connected in a rotationally fixed manner via movable bearings to the first bearing device 18, the second torsion spring 22 and the fourth torsion spring are connected in a rotationally fixed manner via movable bearings to the second bearing device 19. This is illustrated by way of example with the first torsion spring 21 and the third torsion spring 23 in connection with Fig. 3 described.
[0050] The first torsion spring 21, the second torsion spring 22, the third torsion spring 23 and the fourth torsion spring are twisted under load due to their fixed and rotationally fixed bearings.
[0051] The first torsion spring 21, the second torsion spring 22, the third torsion spring 23 and the fourth torsion spring are simultaneously torque transmission devices and spring devices between the first lever arrangement 15, the second lever arrangement 16, the third lever arrangement 17 and the fourth lever arrangement on the one hand and the first bearing device 18 and the second bearing device 19 on the other hand.
[0052] In Fig. 3 That exemplary first embodiment variant of a rocker according to the invention of a pantograph of a rail vehicle is shown schematically, which is also shown in Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 is shown. Therefore, some of the same reference numerals are used.
[0053] In contrast to Fig. 2 , which shows a first side view of the seesaw, is in Fig. 3 a sectioned second side view of the seesaw is shown, which reveals a view of the seesaw rotated by 90° with respect to the first side view.
[0054] The rocker comprises a first contact strip 13, a second contact strip 14, a first lever arrangement 15, a Fig. 2 shown second lever arrangement 16, a third lever arrangement 17, a fourth lever arrangement (not visible), a first bearing device 18 and a Fig. 2 shown second bearing device 19, which is provided with a first receiving device 34, a Fig. 2 shown second receiving device 35, a third receiving device 36 and a non-visible fourth receiving device.
[0055] A first torsion spring 21 is connected to the first receiving device 34 and a second receiving device 35 is connected to Fig. 2 shown second torsion spring 22, a third torsion spring 23 is connected to the third receiving device 36 and a fourth torsion spring (not visible) is connected to the fourth receiving device.
[0056] The first contact strip 13 is connected to the first receiving device 34 via the first lever assembly 15, with the first lever assembly 15 and the first receiving device 34 being screwed together. The first receiving device 34 is rotatably connected to a hollow cylindrical first housing 20 of the first bearing device 18 via a first roller bearing 37. The first housing 20 is formed from a fiber composite material and functions as a rocker box. The first roller bearing 37 is screwed to the first housing 20.
[0057] According to the invention, it is also conceivable for the first housing 20 to be made of a metallic material. The first receiving device 34 has a first groove 39 on its end face, into which a first end of the first torsion spring 21, made of spring steel, is clamped and screwed.
[0058] According to the invention, it is also conceivable to form the first torsion spring 21, for example, in a fiber composite material.
[0059] The first torsion spring 21 has a rectangular cross-section and is mounted via its second end in a rotationally fixed, form-fitting manner and displaceable in the direction of its longitudinal axis 43 and in the direction of a longitudinal extension of the first contact strip 13, i.e., in the direction of a width of the first torsion spring 21 or in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis 43, in a second groove 40 of a metallic, cylindrical clamping piece 44 assigned to the first bearing device 18. The height of the rectangular cross-section of the first torsion spring 21 is small in relation to the length of the first torsion spring 21.
[0060] The second groove 40 is milled out on a first end face of the clamping piece 44. Appropriate mechanical machining of the clamping piece 44 in the region of the second groove 40 ensures that the first torsion spring 21 slides into and out of the second groove 40 with little resistance.
[0061] The first torsion spring 21 is pre-tensioned after the first receiving device 34 is connected to the first housing 20.
[0062] It is therefore possible that mechanical stresses in the first torsion spring 21, ie a mechanical stress on the first torsion spring 21, are reduced, whereby the first torsion spring 21 is relieved on the one hand and, on the other hand, flexibly reacts to loads due to contact forces between the first contact strip 13 and a Fig. 1 reacts to the contact wire 24 shown.
[0063] The clamping piece 44 is connected to the first housing 20, ie to the first bearing device 18 via Fig. 3 The fastening means are connected by means of screwing, i.e., detachably, by means of non-visible fastening means known from the prior art. The fastening means are connected to the clamping piece 44 via corresponding, also non-visible recesses in the first housing 20.
[0064] Due to the screw connection of the clamping piece 44 to the first bearing device 18 and the rotationally fixed, displaceable mounting of the first torsion spring 21 in the clamping piece 44, the first torsion spring 21 is rotationally fixed and displaceably connected to the first bearing device 18.
[0065] A third groove 41 is provided on a second end face of the clamping piece 44, via which the third torsion spring 23 is connected in a rotationally fixed and displaceable manner to the first bearing device 18. The third torsion spring 23 is further connected to a third receiving device 36 by clamping it into a fourth groove 42, which is provided on the end face of the third receiving device 36, and by screwing. The third torsion spring 23 is designed in the same way as the first torsion spring 21 with regard to material, geometry, connection technology to the clamping piece 44 and to the third receiving device 36, and alignment.
[0066] The third torsion spring 23 has the same longitudinal axis 43 as the first torsion spring 21.
[0067] The first torsion spring 21, the third torsion spring 23 and the clamping piece 44 are arranged within the first housing 20.
[0068] A housing longitudinal axis of the first housing 20 and the longitudinal axis 43 of the first torsion spring 21 and the third torsion spring 23 extend into one another.
[0069] According to the invention, it is also conceivable to dispense with the third torsion spring 23 and to connect the first torsion spring 21 to the first receiving device 34 and the third receiving device 36.
[0070] The third receiving device 36 is rotatably connected to the first housing 20, ie to the first bearing device 18, via a second rolling bearing 38, which, like the first rolling bearing 37, is screwed to the first housing 20.
[0071] The third lever arrangement 17 is screwed to the third receiving device 36.
[0072] The third lever arrangement 17 is in turn connected to the second contact strip 14.
[0073] The first housing 20 is screwed to a holding piece 45 of the first bearing device 18 by means of fastening means not visible and known from the prior art. Via the holding piece 45, the first bearing device 18 is articulated to a first crown rod end of a Fig. 1 shown crown rod 4 of the pantograph, ie connected to a pantograph rod 1.
[0074] The second bearing device 19 is structurally identical to the first bearing device 18 with respect to its connection to the crown rod 4. The second bearing device 19 is pivotally connected to a second crown rod end of the crown rod 4.
[0075] The second housing and its housing contents with the second torsion spring 22 and the fourth torsion spring are structurally and functionally identical to the first housing 20 and its housing contents.
[0076] The second housing is arranged and aligned parallel to the first housing 20.
[0077] No stiffening frames, etc., are provided between the first lever arrangement 15 and the third lever arrangement 17, nor between the second lever arrangement 16 and the fourth lever arrangement. The rocker according to the invention is designed as a frameless rocker or as a rocker with individually sprung contact strips.
[0078] In Fig. 4 A section of an exemplary second embodiment of a rocker according to the invention of a pantograph of a rail vehicle is shown schematically as a sectioned side view.
[0079] The exemplary second embodiment of a rocker according to the invention is similar to the exemplary first embodiment, which is shown for example in Fig. 3 shown. Fig. 4 therefore partly the same reference numerals as in Fig. 3 used.
[0080] In contrast to Fig. 3 shows Fig. 4 a rocker in which a first torsion spring 21 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner via a displaceable bearing to a lever of a first lever arrangement 15 and fixedly to a first bearing device 18. Further torsion springs (not shown) are connected in the same way to further lever arrangements (not shown) and to a further bearing device (also not shown).
[0081] The first bearing device 18 and the further bearing device have a first housing 20 and a further housing which, in contrast to the exemplary first embodiment of a rocker according to the invention, are formed from a metallic material.
[0082] In contrast to Fig. 3 are the ones in Fig. 4 The first torsion spring 21 shown and the other torsion springs not shown are made of a fiber composite material. List of names
