Description

[0001] The invention relates to a stirrer for mixing materials in the craft sector such as adhesives, mortar, etc.

[0002] Agitators for mixing materials are already known, for example, from the publication DE 20 2013 000 516 U1. They comprise an agitator and a shaft extending from the agitator. The shaft connects the agitator to a drive unit, which can be used to set the agitator in rotation.

[0003] To stir or mix materials, the agitator is placed in a container containing the material to be mixed. During mixing, the agitator comes into contact with the bottom of the container, at least temporarily, to ensure that the material at the bottom is also subjected to the mixing process.

[0004] The problem is that the agitator wears out relatively quickly on the free end due to contact with the bottom of the container, which significantly shortens the service life of the agitator.

[0005] Based on this, it is the object of the invention to provide an agitator which, despite simple and cost-effective production, has a high durability and service life.

[0006] The object is achieved by an agitator having the features of independent patent claim 1. Preferred embodiments are the subject of the subclaims.

[0007] According to a first aspect, the invention relates to a stirrer designed for mixing building materials such as tile adhesive or mortar. The stirrer comprises a stirring element and a shaft projecting from the stirring element. The stirring element has at least one base section and at least one helical section which, starting from the base section, extends at least partially in a helical manner around the shaft. The helical section is preferably fixed to the shaft in the region of a free end. A wear part is detachably attached to the underside of the base section opposite the shaft and can be replaced as needed.

[0008] The agitator is designed as a mixing basket. The mixing basket is characterized by the fact that the spiral section—apart from its attachment points—is spaced apart from the shaft, creating a gap between the shaft and the spiral section through which the material to be mixed can be conveyed.

[0009] The wear part is located at the free end of the agitator basket, so that during agitation, it comes into contact with the bottom of the container in which the agitation process takes place. In other words, the wear part forms a free end of the agitator and thus frequently comes into contact with the agitated container in which the mixing process takes place, causing friction and thus wear of the wear part.

[0010] The base section is annular and / or circumferentially closed. Furthermore, the wear part is annular with at least one internal opening, so that the material to be mixed can be conveyed upward through the internal opening of the wear part during rotation.

[0011] The technical advantage of the agitator is that, thanks to the replaceable wearing part, the service life of the agitator is not limited by the rapidly wearing lower part of the agitator, which often comes into contact with the bottom of the container in which the agitation process takes place, but the agitator can continue to be used after the wearing element has been replaced.

[0012] The outer diameter of the wear part can be selected to be larger than the outer diameter of the base section in order to also provide wear protection for the base section on the outer circumference.

[0013] According to one embodiment, the wear part can be connected to the base section by at least one connection point that creates a positive and / or frictional connection. This ensures the replaceability of the wear part while simultaneously ensuring that the wear part is sufficiently well fixed to the base section.

[0014] According to one embodiment, the wear part is detachably attached to the base section by several angularly distributed screw connections. This allows the wear part to be firmly attached to the base section, but can be removed if necessary.

[0015] According to one embodiment, a plurality of openings are provided on the base section. The openings are preferably bores that completely penetrate the base section, specifically in a direction parallel or substantially parallel to the shaft. A plurality of openings having internal threads, for example in the form of blind holes, are provided on the wear part. In this case, an opening in the base section and an opening in the wear part preferably correspond to one another in such a way that a screw can be screwed through the opening in the base section into an internal thread of the wear part. This allows for a technically simple and stable attachment of the wear part to the base section.

[0016] According to one embodiment, the screw heads of the screws protrude above the top of the base section. This has the advantage that the screw connection can be deactivated by grinding or cutting off the screw heads, which is advantageous because the screw connection often contains material residues due to the use of the agitator in hardening materials, making conventional loosening of the screw connections impossible.

[0017] According to one embodiment, several threaded bolts protrude upward from the wear part. Several openings are provided in the base section. The threaded bolts correspond to the openings in the base section such that a threaded bolt can be passed through an opening in the base section, allowing the wear part to be secured to the base section by means of a nut mounted on the threaded bolt. This creates an alternative fastening option, which in turn offers the possibility of deactivating the screw connection by grinding down or cutting off the threaded bolts and nuts.

[0018] According to one embodiment, the wear part is made of metal, in particular a hard metal. This can significantly reduce wear on the wear part.

[0019] Alternatively, the wearing part can also be made of plastic, for example hard plastic, in particular a plastic with a Shore D hardness greater than 75.

[0020] The terms "approximately", "substantially" or "about" mean, in the sense of the invention, deviations from the exact value by + / - 10%, preferably by + / - 5% and / or deviations in the form of changes that are insignificant for the function.

[0021] Further developments, advantages and possible applications of the invention will also become apparent from the following description of embodiments and from the figures.

[0022] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments and the figures. They show: Fig. 1 shows an example of an agitator in a side view, partially in section; and Fig. 2 shows an example of a top view of the base section.

[0023] Figure 1shows a stirrer 1. The stirrer 1 has a stirring element 2, by means of which materials, in particular building materials such as tile adhesive, mortar, or other mixtures consisting of solids and liquid components, can be mixed or stirred. In order to set the stirrer 1 in rotation, the stirrer 1 has a shaft 3 that is elongated and whose longitudinal axis forms the axis of rotation of the stirrer 1.

[0024] The stirring element 2 comprises a base section 2.1 and at least one, in the illustrated embodiment a pair of helical sections 2.2, which protrude upwards from the base section 2.1 and extend in a twisted manner around the shaft 3. The helical sections 2.2 are preferably connected to the base section 2.1 in the region of their first free ends and to the shaft 3 in the region of their second free ends.

[0025] The base section 2.1 is, for example, self-contained and extends in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft 3. The base section 2.1 can, for example, be annular, in particular circular. The shaft 3 is preferably centered with respect to the base section 2.1.

[0026] The shaft 3 is preferably connected to the base section 2.1 via a cross strut 2.3, which runs perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the shaft 3. The cross strut 2.3 is preferably connected at its free end to opposite regions of the base section 2.1. This ensures that the rotational forces introduced via the shaft 3 are transferred to the base section 2.1.

[0027] To increase the durability of the agitator 1, a wear part 4 is provided on the base section 2.1. The wear part 4 is located on the underside, i.e., on the side of the base section 2.1 opposite the shaft 3, so that during a stirring process, it comes into contact with the bottom area of a container. As a result, the wear part 4 is worn first by friction, not the base section 2.1 itself.

[0028] The wearing part 4 can be removably fixed to the base section 2.1 using various fastening methods and can thus be replaced. The fastening can be achieved, for example, by screwing, hooking, clamping, or other force- and / or form-fitting connections.

[0029] In the illustrated embodiment, the wearing part 4 is attached to the base section 2.1 by means of screw connections. The base section 2.1 has a plurality of openings through each of which a screw 6 can be passed. In the illustrated embodiment, a plurality of blind hole-like openings 4.2 are provided in the wearing part 4, with each opening 4.2 of the wearing part 4 corresponding to an opening in the base section 2.1. An internal thread is provided in each of the openings 4.2 of the wearing part 4, so that a screw 6, which extends through the opening in the base section 2.1, can be screwed into this internal thread, thus fixing the wearing part 4 to the base section 2.1.

[0030] The screw heads 6.1 of the screws 6 preferably protrude from the top of the base section 2.1, where "top" indicates the direction in which the free end of the shaft 3 is located. This has the advantage that, to replace the wearing part 4, the screw heads 6.1 can be removed, for example, by grinding, and the wearing part 4 can then be detached from the base section 2.1. This significantly simplifies the replacement of the wearing part 4, since the stirring element 2 is often covered with material residue due to a large number of mixing processes, thus enabling a technically very simple removal of the wearing part 4 from the base section 2.1.

[0031] In an alternative embodiment, it is possible for several upwardly projecting threaded bolts to be provided on the wearing part 4. These threaded bolts are provided on the wearing part 4 in such a way that when the wearing part 4 is attached to the base section 2.1, a threaded bolt is guided through an opening in the base section 2.1 in such a way that a section of the threaded bolt protrudes above the top of the base section 2.1. A nut can be screwed onto the protruding parts of the threaded bolt in order to fasten the wearing part 4 to the base section 2.1. With this embodiment, too, it is possible to detach the wearing part 4 from the base section 2.1 in a technically simple manner by removing the protruding part of the threaded bolt or a nut located thereon and then separating the wearing part 4 from the base section 2.1.

[0032] The wearing part 4 is preferably, as in Figure 2 shown, is ring-shaped, in particular circular, with an inner opening 4.1. Preferably, the outer contour of the wear part 4 is adapted to the outer contour of the base section 2.1. This means, in particular, that the wear part 4 protrudes beyond the base section 2.1 on the outer circumference, so that wear protection for the base section 2.1 also exists on the outer circumference.

[0033] The wear part 4 is preferably made of metal, in particular of a hard metal. However, other materials are also conceivable for the wear part 4, for example, a wear part made of plastic, in particular of a plastic with a Shore D hardness greater than 75 (hard plastic).

[0034] The invention has been described above using exemplary embodiments. It is understood that numerous changes and modifications are possible without departing from the scope of protection defined by the patent claims. List of reference symbols
