AI Technical Summary
Existing soil cultivation devices face challenges in reliably transitioning between working and transport positions, particularly with narrow row spacings, leading to potential collisions between tool carriers on the boom and base segment when folding.
A hydraulic coupling control device is used to synchronize the movement of height guide devices on the base segment and tool carriers, automatically lowering them when moving from the working to the transport position, ensuring collision-free folding and maintaining tool carrier positions without impairing movement.
This solution allows for safe and collision-free folding, enabling a working width of up to 6 meters and reducing lateral reach in the transport position, ensuring efficient soil cultivation and transport without tool carrier interference.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a soil tillage device for row crops according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] Such a soil tillage implement is described in DE 10 2015 016 884 B4 and EP 1 616 471 A2. The soil tillage implement is intended for tilling, in particular weeding, row crops and comprises a frame that extends transversely to the direction of travel in the working position. To accommodate larger working widths, such frames typically have a base segment and, at each of the two free ends of the base segment, a boom that can be folded toward the base segment. The base segment thus forms the centerpiece of the frame and is therefore usually also used to accommodate a coupling device for attaching the soil tillage implement to a towing vehicle.
[0003] In order to fold the soil tillage implement into a less protruding transport position, particularly for transport over public roads, a folding device is provided in the case of a foldable frame design for moving the foldable booms between the working position and the transport position, which is folded at least approximately, preferably at least, by 90 degrees, in particular upright. A plurality of tool carriers are arranged on the frame, i.e., the base segment and the booms, each via a height control device. In this soil tillage implement, the height control device can be designed as a parallelogram and have a remotely adjustable actuator, so that the associated tool carrier can be remotely lowered and raised relative to the frame.
[0004] Soil cultivation tools assigned to individual rows of plants are arranged on the tool carriers. The soil cultivation tools are used to maintain the row of crops to which they are assigned and can be designed as finger wheels, hoe shares, chisels, harrows, or similar. In the working position, the frame is usually carried by the towing vehicle at an adjustable height above the field, from where the soil cultivation tools are lowered to the ground via tool carriers that interact with height control devices. In order to assign the soil cultivation tools to a row of plants, the tool carriers are usually arranged equidistant from one another on the frame. The distance at which the tool carriers are arranged on the frame can correspond to the row spacing of the plants in the area to be cultivated.
[0005] Adapting the arrangement of the tool carriers on the frame to the rows of plants to be worked can lead to problems when moving the booms into the transport position, particularly where row spacing is particularly narrow. To assume the transport position, it has previously been standard practice to move all tool carriers into their raised position using the height control devices in order to generate additional ground clearance, so that the height control devices extend at least partially vertically above the frame. In the area where the booms are arranged on the base segment, however, this can lead to a collision, as tool carriers arranged on the boom are folded over tool carriers arranged on the base segment, particularly when folded by at least 90 degrees.
[0006] The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a soil tillage implement that can be reliably moved between the working position and the transport position, particularly when the tool carriers are arranged at a short distance from one another. Preferably, it should be possible to arrange the tool carriers directly in the transition area between the base segment and the boom without compromising reliable movement between the working and transport positions.
[0007] This object is achieved according to the invention in that the folding device and at least the height guide devices of tool carriers arranged on the base segment are coupled to one another by a preferably hydraulic coupling control device in such a way that each time a boom is moved from the working position into the transport position, the height guide devices of tool carriers arranged on the base segment move the tool carriers into a position lowered relative to the frame.
[0008] The invention makes use of the knowledge that a collision can be reliably avoided by automatically lowering tool carriers arranged on the base segment, since the critical installation space in the transition area between the base segment and the boom is freed up for tool carriers arranged on a boom that fold over to assume the transport position. The booms enable the soil tillage implement to achieve a working width of up to 6 meters or more. Soil tillage tools for tilling a single row of plants can be arranged on a tool carrier, with the tool carrier preferably being arranged vertically above the row of plants to be tilled on the frame. Preferably, a tool carrier can carry soil tillage tools for tilling two adjacent rows of plants, with the tool carrier in the working position preferably being arranged on the frame above, between the rows of plants to be tilled. The folding device comprises one folding actuator per boom, which is preferably designed as a hydraulic cylinder. The height control device can comprise at least one parallelogram linkage and has an adjustment actuator, which is preferably hydraulically, pneumatically, or electrically remotely adjustable. The coupling control device is preferably hydraulically designed.
[0009] The soil tillage implement is moved from the working position to the transport position by means of the coupling control device according to a predetermined movement sequence: The at least one boom begins to fold by means of the folding device, causing the height control devices of the tool carriers arranged on the base segment to lower the respective tool carriers, thus freeing up the installation space for the folding tool carriers of the at least one boom. The height control devices of the soil tillage implement can be controlled in groups or, preferably, individually. The soil tillage tools can thus be raised via the tool carriers, preferably individually, i.e., can be moved into a raised position without contact with the ground.
[0010] In the working position of the soil tillage implement, the tool carriers are typically located in an intermediate position from which they can follow the soil contour in a vertical direction. While tool carriers arranged on at least one boom are preferably raised and held in a raised position by means of their height-guiding devices to assume the transport position, the tool carriers arranged on the base segment are initially raised and then returned to the working position, if this corresponds to the maximum lowered position, or lowered further so that they are lowered relative to the frame. In the lowered position, the height control devices are located below a plane defined by the longitudinal direction of the frame, i.e., the base segment and / or at least one boom, and the direction of travel, and thus runs at least approximately horizontally when the soil tillage implement is in the working position. When the transport position is assumed, the plane is divided into several sub-planes, namely one sub-plane per frame element. The sub-planes are defined by the longitudinal direction of the base segment or boom and the direction of travel, so that the sub-plane of a boom in the transport position is at least approximately vertically aligned.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, the height control devices of tool carriers arranged on a boom are coupled to the coupling control device in such a way that each time a boom is moved from the working position into the transport position, the height control devices on tool carriers arranged on a boom move the tool carriers into a raised position. In the working position, the tool carriers are usually in an intermediate position so that they can follow the ground contour. Compared to the working position, the tool carriers on the booms are therefore raised. Compared to the working position, the height control devices on the tool carriers arranged on at least one boom are located in the raised position substantially above a plane spanned by the longitudinal direction of the boom and the direction of travel."Above" here refers less to the direction of gravity than to the fact that the height control devices are moved from the intermediate position, particularly the lowered position, to the raised position, from the starting position on one side of the plane, through the plane to the other side of the plane. As a result of this embodiment, the soil tillage implement has a reduced transverse overhang in the folded transport position.
[0012] Furthermore, a soil tillage implement according to the invention is preferred which comprises at least one support wheel which is arranged on the frame, in particular a boom, via a remotely adjustable pivoting device, preferably on the side facing away from the tool carriers. The soil tillage implement can preferably comprise at least one support wheel per boom. It is also conceivable for at least one support wheel to be arranged on the base segment. The at least one support wheel rolls on the ground in the working position of the soil tillage implement and thus guides the frame at an adjustable height. The at least one support wheel can be pivoted vertically relative to the frame by means of the pivoting device.
[0013] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, the at least one pivoting device is coupled to the coupling control device in such a way that each time a boom is moved from the working position into the transport position, the pivoting device pivots the at least one support wheel into a lifting position. In the working position of the soil tillage implement, the at least one support wheel is lowered by means of the pivoting device to an adjustable distance from the frame so that it rolls on the ground. To assume the transport position, the at least one support wheel is pivoted into a lifting position which removes contact with the ground so that the support wheel is raised. In the lifting position, the at least one support wheel is located at least partially in a plane spanned by the longitudinal direction of the frame and the direction of travel. The advantage here is that the transverse outreach of the soil tillage implement is reduced in transport position.
[0014] In a further advantageous development of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, the height-guiding devices are each configured to move the tool carrier into positions spaced at least 30 centimeters, preferably at least 40 centimeters apart. The spaced positions can be assigned to the lowered position and the raised position. The soil tillage implement is thus configured to raise the soil tillage tools at least 30 centimeters, preferably at least 40 centimeters, above ground level, so that the crops to be tended can be granted sufficient clearance, for example, during turning operations.
[0015] The height guide devices can each be configured to lower the circumference of a guide wheel attached to the tool carrier to a distance below a plane spanned by the longitudinal direction of the frame, i.e. the base segment and / or the boom, and the direction of travel, which distance corresponds to at least twice the diameter of the guide wheel and / or to raise the circumference of the guide wheel at least approximately into this plane.
[0016] The soil tillage implement according to the invention is further advantageously developed in that the height guide devices have a detachable fastening device, which is preferably designed as a clamping device, for arranging the tool carriers on the frame, so that the tool carriers can be arranged at adjustable intervals transversely to the direction of travel on the frame. Preferably, the frame, i.e. the base segment and the at least one boom, is designed as an H-profile, so that it has fastening surfaces for the form-fitting arrangement of the fastening device. A tool carrier can also be easily removed by means of the detachable fastening device, so that the number of tool carriers arranged on the frame can be varied. The tool carriers can be adapted particularly expediently to the row width of the rows of plants to be cared for by means of the fastening devices.Preferably, the soil tillage tools of two tool carriers arranged next to each other on the frame work a row of plants together.
[0017] In a further preferred embodiment of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, at least the height-guiding devices of tool carriers arranged on a boom are lockable, preferably in the folded transport position of the soil tillage implement. A suitable locking device can be hydraulic or mechanical.
[0018] In another preferred embodiment of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, the coupling control device is designed as a hydraulic master circuit, so that each time a boom is moved from the working position to the transport position, the height control devices of tool carriers arranged on the base segment can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the lowered position, the height control devices of tool carriers arranged on a boom can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the raised position, and / or the pivoting device can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the excavation position. The coupling control device designed as a master circuit thus ensures safe and collision-free folding. The coupling control device can comprise at least one sensor element configured to monitor the assumption of the lowered position of tool carriers arranged on the base segment and / or the transport position of the booms. Preferably, the height control devices of tool carriers arranged on the base segment can be controlled by the coupling control device based on the data from the sensor element, so that in the transport position, these height control devices are prevented from being moved into a raised position.
[0019] In a further preferred embodiment of the soil tillage device according to the invention, the frame has the base segment and two booms, wherein the booms are arranged in front of the base segment in the direction of travel and can be folded about a horizontal axis.
[0020] In a further development of the above-described embodiment of the soil tillage implement according to the invention, the base segment and the booms are arranged superimposed adjacent to the horizontal axes, in particular transversely to the direction of travel.
[0021] In order to move a soil tillage implement, which can be designed according to one of the above embodiments, with a frame which, in the working position, extends transversely to the direction of travel and has a base segment and two booms which can be folded to the base segment, from the working position into a transport position, into which the booms are folded upright by at least approximately 90 degrees by means of a folding actuator each, wherein a plurality of tool carriers are arranged on the frame, the position of which relative to the frame is controlled by a respective height guide device, it is provided that the tool carriers arranged on the base segment are moved into a lowered position relative to the frame as soon as the folding actuators begin to fold the booms from the working position into the transport position.
[0022] In an advantageous further development of the movement of the soil tillage implement from the working position into the transport position, it can be provided that support wheels and tool carriers arranged on the booms are raised relative to the frame as soon as the folding actuators begin to fold the booms.
[0023] Further details of the invention can be found in the example description and the drawings. The drawings show Fig.1 a soil tillage implement according to the invention in working position in perspective view, Fig.2 the soil tillage implement in transport position in perspective view, Fig.3 the soil tillage implement according to Fig.2 in rear view, and Fig.4 the soil tillage implement according to Fig.2 in top view.
[0024] A soil tillage implement 1 designed as a hoe for row crops is in Fig.1in working position. The soil tillage implement 1 comprises a frame 2, which has a central base segment 2A and two booms 2B that can be folded to the base segment 2A and, in the working position shown, extends transversely to the direction of travel F. The base segment 2A serves, among other things, for the arrangement of an attachment device 4 by means of which the soil tillage implement 1 can be coupled to a towing vehicle (not shown). The two booms 2B adjoin the free ends of the base segment 2A transversely to the direction of travel F and are arranged in front of the base segment 2A in the direction of travel F. By means of a folding device 3, which has two folding actuators designed as hydraulic cylinders 3', the booms 2B can be moved from the at least approximately horizontal working position into an upright transport position folded at least approximately 90 degrees, as in Fig.2 For this purpose, from the working position, as shown in Fig.1As shown, the hydraulic cylinders 3' are actuated so that their piston rods are retracted, whereby the booms 2B are folded into the transport position about a horizontal axis 5. The base segment 2A and the booms 2B are arranged overlapping in the area of the horizontal axis 5 transversely to the direction of travel F.
[0025] The soil tillage implement 1 further comprises a plurality of tool carriers 6a-6i arranged transversely to the direction of travel F on the frame 2. The tool carriers 6a-6i are each arranged on the base segment 2A or one of the booms 2B via a remotely adjustable height control device 7a-7i and carry soil tillage tools 9a assigned to individual plant rows 8, as well as soil tillage tools designed as harrows 9b. In this soil tillage implement 1, the height control devices 7a-7i comprise a parallelogram suspension 10, which can be deformed in an adjustable manner by an actuator 11, in this case designed as a hydraulic cylinder, and is thus remotely adjustable. By targeted deformation of a parallelogram suspension 10 by means of the actuator 11, the assigned tool carrier 6a-6i can be supported at an adjustable height relative to the frame 2.
[0026] For arranging the tool carriers 6a-6i on the frame 2, the height guide devices 7a-7i have a detachable fastening device designed as a clamping device at their front free end. The tool carriers 6a-6i can thus be attached to the base segment 2A and the outriggers 2B at intervals adjusted to the row spacing of the plant rows 8. The frame 2 can be designed as an H-profile, with the clamping device having two fastening claws that encompass the H-profile and can be braced against each other.
[0027] The soil tillage tools 9a, which are assigned to individual plant rows 8, are designed in this soil tillage device 1 in the direction of travel F as hoe protection rollers, hoeing knives and finger wheels and are supplemented by the trailing harrows 9b. The tool carriers 6a - 6i are arranged transversely to the direction of travel F on the frame 2 between two plant rows 8 to be tilled, so that hoe protection rollers and finger wheels arranged on adjacent tool carriers 6a - 6i jointly till a plant row 8 and the harrows and harrows 9b are guided between two adjacent plant rows 8. The tool carriers 6a - 6i also carry a leading guide wheel 12, via whose distance from the tool carrier 6a - 6i the working depth of the soil tillage tools 9a, 9b can be adjusted. The distance between guide wheel 12 and tool carrier 6a - 6i can be manually adjustable, for example by means of a crank, or remotely adjustable, for example hydraulically operated.
[0028] The soil tillage implement 1 further comprises two support wheels 14, each arranged via a remotely adjustable pivoting device 13 on the side of the frame 2 facing away from the tool carriers 6a - 6i. The support wheels 14 are arranged on the outriggers 2B in this soil tillage implement 1 and roll on the soil to be tilled when the soil tillage implement 1 is in the working position, so that the frame 2 is supported thereon. By means of the pivoting devices 13, the support wheels 14 can be pivoted up into a lifting position, which removes contact with the soil and Fig.2 - 4 is shown.
[0029] In the Fig.1In the working position of the soil tillage implement 1 shown, all tool carriers 6a - 6i are in an intermediate position in which the respective guide wheel 12 rolls on the ground and the actuators 11 are decoupled from the height guide devices 7a - 7i, so that the tool carriers 6a - 6i or the soil tillage tools 9a, 9b attached thereto can follow the soil contour by means of the guide wheel 12 interacting with the parallelogram suspension 10. In order to move the soil tillage implement 1 into the Fig.2 , 3 and 4The folding device 3 is provided to move the tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on the booms 2B to the transport position shown. It should be noted that the tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on the booms 2B fold over the tool carriers 6d - 6f arranged on the base segment 2A. In order to avoid collisions between the height guide devices 7a - 7i on the booms 2B and tool carriers 6a - 6i arranged on the base segment 2A, a coupling control device is provided: the folding device 3 and the height guide devices 7d - 7f of tool carriers 6d - 6f arranged on the base segment 2A are coupled to one another by means of the coupling control device in such a way that each time the booms 2B are moved from the working position into the transport position, the height guide devices 7d - 7f of tool carriers 6d - 6f arranged on the base segment 2A move the tool carriers 6d - 6f into a position lowered relative to the frame 2.In the lowered position, the actuators 11 of the height control devices 7d - 7f are preferably completely retracted, so that the parallelogram suspensions 10 extend downwards from the base segment 2A and thus release the installation space for the folding parts of the soil tillage implement, in particular in the area above the lying axles 5, as . Fig.3 shows.
[0030] In the lowered position, the height control devices 7a - 7i are located substantially below a plane 15A, 15B, 15B`, which is defined by the longitudinal direction of the frame 2, i.e. the base segment 2A and / or the boom 2B, and the direction of travel F and thus runs at least approximately horizontally in the working position of the soil tillage implement 1. The plane 15A, 15B, 15B' is divided into several sub-planes 15A, 15B, 15B' by assuming the transport position, namely one sub-plane 15A, 15B, 15B' per frame element 2A, 2B: The sub-planes 15A, 15B, 15B' are spanned by the longitudinal direction of the base segment 2A or boom 2B and the direction of travel F, so that the sub-plane 15B, 15B' of a boom 2B in the transport position is at least approximately vertically aligned.
[0031] The height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i of tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on a boom 2B are also coupled to the coupling control device such that each time a boom 2B is moved from the working position to the transport position, the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i of tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on a boom 2B move the tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i into a raised position. In the raised position, the actuators 11 of the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i are preferably fully extended, so that the parallelogram suspensions 10 extend upward from the booms 2B and thus occupy the freed-up installation space in the transport position, particularly in the area of the horizontal axes 5.In the raised position, the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i are located substantially above the plane 15A, 15B, 15B`, which is spanned by the booms 2B and the direction of travel F, as shown. Fig.3 and 4 In the transport position, the height guide devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i are thus located between the partial levels 15B, 15B', as Fig.3"Above" thus refers less to the direction of gravity than to the fact that the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i are moved from the lowered position to the raised position, i.e., from the starting position on one side of the plane 15B, 15B' through the plane 15B, 15B' to the other side of the plane 15B, 15B'. The soil tillage implement 1 thus has a reduced transverse overhang in the folded transport position, with the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i of the tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on the booms 2B being lockable in the transport position. Unintentional pivoting of these tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i could, for example, endanger other road users and is thus effectively prevented.
[0032] The tool carriers 6a - 6i are in the working position of the soil tillage implement 1 at least approximately in the lowered position. In order to protect the crops when driving into a wedge situation or when turning on the area to be cultivated, the soil tillage tools 9a, 9b can be raised per tool carrier 6a - 6i via the height control devices 7a - 7i that interact with the respective tool carriers 6a - 6i. For this purpose, the respective tool carrier 6a - 6i is moved into its raised position. In order to continue to provide the crops with sufficient freedom of movement as they grow, the lowered and raised positions can be at least 40 centimeters apart. The height control devices 7a - 7i are thus each designed to move the tool carriers 6a - 6i into positions at least 40 centimeters apart. By combining Fig.3 and 4It can be seen that the height guide devices 7a - 7i are each designed to lower the circumference of the guide wheel 12 to a distance A below the plane 15A, 15B, 15B', which lies between one and two times the diameter of the guide wheel 12 and / or to raise the circumference of the guide wheel 12 at least approximately into this plane 15A, 15B, 15B'.
[0033] The pivoting devices 13, via which the support wheels 14 are pivotably arranged on the booms 2B, are also coupled to the coupling control device such that each time a boom 2B is moved from the working position to the transport position, the pivoting device 13 pivots the respective support wheel 14 into a lifting position. In the lifting position, the support wheels 14 are located at least partially in the plane 15B, 15B', so that the soil tillage implement 1 has a further reduced transverse overhang in the transport position, as Fig.4 shows.
[0034] The coupling control device in this soil tillage implement 1 is designed as a hydraulic master circuit, so that each time a boom 2B is moved from the working position into the transport position, the height control devices 7d - 7f of tool carriers 6d - 6f arranged on the base segment 2A can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the lowered position, the height control devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i of tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on the booms 2B can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the raised position and the pivoting devices 13 can be controlled exclusively in the direction of the excavation position. The hydraulic cylinders 3' of the folding device 3, the actuators 11 of the height control devices 7a-7i, which are designed as hydraulic cylinders, and the pivoting devices 13, which also have a hydraulic actuator, are interconnected by means of the hydraulic master circuit in such a way that the movement of the soil tillage implement 1 follows a predetermined movement sequence. The soil tillage implement 1 can thus be moved from the working position to the transport position particularly easily, safely, and effectively, while avoiding operating errors and collisions. The following steps are performed: . Folding the boom 2B from the working position extending transversely to the direction of travel F, as in Fig.1shown, into the transport position angled by at least approximately 90 degrees by means of the folding device 3, lowering tool carriers 6d - 6f arranged on the base segment 2A by means of the respective height guide devices 7d - 7f, raising tool carriers 6a - 6c, 6g - 6i arranged on the booms 2B by means of the respective height guide devices 7a - 7c, 7g - 7i, and / or raising the support wheels 14 by means of the pivoting devices 13.
