3882 results about "Seeder" patented technology

A seeder is a stamp-type leatherworking tool used in leather carving. It is predominantly used in floral designs to represent the seeds in the center of a flower, hence the name. Similar to other stamp-type tools, it is held vertically over the leather and struck with a wooden or rawhide mallet to create an impression in the surface of the leather. The seeder creates a small circular impression, often similar to the asterisk symbol (*) with a hole in the middle.

A method and apparatus to be mounted upon a planter row unit for delivering liquid fertilizer to the bottom of a trench without contacting the seed to be planted is disclosed and claimed. The system as claimed and described is adapted for mounting to substantially all modern row units employing floating row units. The method and apparatus as described does not interfere with existing down pressure or seed placement systems as found on modern row crop planters. As described and implemented, the method and apparatus is more compact and lighter in weight than the prior art. The attached assembly for a seed planting unit works in combination with a seed trench opener to form a trench for the deposit of liquid fertilizer offset from and parallel to the later formed seed trench. The apparatus allows directed liquid fertilizer delivery in close proximity to the seed trench with minimal disruption of said seed trench. The attachment includes a single disk blade disposed forward of the seed trench forming unit. The single disk blade is disposed at an angle of four degrees or less from the line defining the direction of travel of the seed planting implement in combination with a furrow strap. The attachment includes a selectively adjustable down force structure and a selectively adjustable depth control mechanism.

Self-watering planter employing capillary action water transport mechanism

The self-watering assembly is used in combination with a conventional planter having flow hole apertures formed within a base thereof. The assembly includes a set of water-permeable flow hole inserts each including a portion of capillary material such as spandex. The flow hole inserts are inserted into a flow hole of the planter for direct contact with soil positioned therein. The flow hole inserts are sized and shaped to securely fit within the flow hole preventing soil from falling out of the flow hole and preventing roots from growing through the flow hole. Additional capillary material, also formed of spandex, couples an interior of a water reservoir to the capillary material of the water-permeable inserts. By using spandex as the capillary material, sufficient capillary flow may be achieved to properly water even medium to large sized plants. By employing water-permeable inserts for insertion into the planter wherein the inserts have capillary material mounted therein, water can be more effectively drawn into the soil of the planter as compared to many self watering planters wherein the planter merely rests on capillary material. Also, upon removal of the planter from the water reservoir, the inserts typically remain mounted within the flow holes of the planter such that soil from the planter is prevented from falling out of the planter via the flow holes. Entirely conventional planters may be employed thereby reducing overall costs which permit the customer a wide choice of planter shapes and sizes.

Cultivation method for improving yield of wheat

The invention relates to a high-yield culture technique of wheat, including land preparation, seeding, fertilizer application, watering and disease and insect control; the high-yield culture technique is characterized in that: the pattern of double sowing in one ridge with equal row distance and band seeding with broad width is adopted for sowing, and a wheat seeder with broad width is used for sowing. The high-yield culture technique has the advantages that: as the land occupying space of a single plant of wheat is enlarged, the leaves of wheat are not crowed, thus chemical weed killing effect can be greatly improved; the enlargement of the growing area of a single plant is beneficial to a robust individual and good lodging resistant effect; on the basis of fine-seeding, tillering is increased, the development of colony is reasonable, grains are not crowded, the growth state of competing for fertilizer, water and nutrition does not exist among individuals, the wheat has robust growth and strong adverse resistance, the high-yield culture technique is beneficial to large spike cultivars to form more spikes, and multi spike cultivars to form large spikes, thus facilitating larger spikes and more grains and obviously improving yield. The enlargement of the nutrition adsorption area of an individual plant is good for the development of the root system and the enhancement of vitality, and the late green functional period of wheat is prolonged, which can relatively delay the aging time of wheat and is beneficial to increasing wheat grain weight.
