Description

[0001] The invention relates to an insulating glass pane having the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Such an insulating glass pane is known from DE 10 2004 043 581 A1. The insulating glass pane has a frame-shaped spacer made of thermoplastic material and arranged between two glass panels. The known bar is a metallic hollow profile rod. Furthermore, a bar holder is disclosed, which is designed as a bar end piece and has means for anchoring to the spacer. At least one bar holder per bar is designed such that the bar can be inserted into the holder with its end transverse to its longitudinal direction. Even if the bar holders rest against the surface of the glass panel when the bar is inserted, it can happen that the still plastic spacer is undesirably deformed due to the forces occurring during this process.

[0003] An insulating glass pane of the type mentioned above with a thermoplastic spacer is also known from DE 295 14 622 U1. A glazing bar insert arranged between the glass panels has bars that are thinner than the specified distance between the two glass panels. The bars have end pieces that rest against the glass panels and are bonded to at least one of the glass panels.

[0004] DE 602 05 958 T2 discloses a starting material for muntins, which is produced by roll-forming decoratively coated layered or sheet material, such as steel. From DE 101 63 844 C1, galvanized sheet metal is known as a suitable material for end pieces of a muntin frame. US 2019 / 0316408 A1, which is not generic, discloses a window retrofit kit comprising magnetic window frame elements configured for positioning on an inner periphery of the window frame. The window retrofit kit further includes a removable muntin frame, the muntins of which are provided with muntin end pieces, each with a magnetic element, in order to magnetically couple the muntin frame to the magnetic window frame elements and to enable the muntin frame to be removed from the window frame again.

[0005] The invention is based on the object of improving the quality of insulating glass panes with inserted glazing bar inserts and of further reducing the risk that the spacer is undesirably deformed or damaged when the glazing bar insert is attached.

[0006] This object is achieved by an insulating glass pane having the features specified in claim 1, a glazing bar insert having the features specified in claim 4, a glazing bar holder having the features specified in claim 7, a method having the features specified in claim 10, and a spacer strip having the features specified in claim 13. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0007] The insulating glass pane according to the invention contains at least two glass panels and a frame-shaped spacer made of a plastic-based material. A glazing bar insert is attached to the spacer. The spacer and the glazing bar insert are arranged between the two glass panels. The insulating glass pane contains at least one pair of two magnets. The two magnets cooperate to position and hold the glazing bar insert in the insulating glass pane. In particular, the two magnets of the pair of magnets are in contact with each other. One of the magnets of the pair of magnets can be inserted into the spacer. The other magnet of the pair of magnets can be arranged in the glazing bar insert. In one embodiment, the other magnet can be attached to the glazing bar insert.

[0008] One of the magnets in the pair of magnets can be a hard magnet. The other magnet in the pair can be a soft magnet. A hard magnet is made of a hard magnetic material and can also be called a permanent magnet. A soft magnet is made of a soft magnetic material, such as ferromagnetic steel or iron.

[0009] The inventive glazing bar insert for an insulating glass pane has at least one bar with at least one end configured for attachment to the spacer. At least one magnet is arranged at the end of the bar configured for attachment to the spacer, and is movable along the longitudinal direction of the bar. The bar insert consists of at least a single bar. The bar can have two ends configured for attachment to the spacer. A magnet is arranged at at least one of the two ends. However, the bar insert can also contain an arrangement of several intersecting bars. Such an arrangement is sometimes also referred to as a "bar frame." The bars can be thin-walled hollow profile bars, into the end of which a bar end piece is inserted, which is configured for attachment to the spacer.

[0010] The sash holder according to the invention for fastening the sash insert to the spacer of the insulating glass pane contains at least one magnet. The sash holder is designed to hold the magnet on the sash insert or on the spacer. The sash holder can be formed integrally with the magnet, in particular from a soft magnetic material. The sash holder can consist of a single part if it is designed as a magnet. A one-piece sash holder can be designed to be inserted into the spacer. Alternatively, the sash holder can consist of several parts. The sash holder can comprise the at least one magnet and a magnet holder, in particular made of plastic. The magnet, in particular the hard magnet, is movably arranged in the sash holder, specifically in a manner movable along the longitudinal direction of the sash. The rung holder can be designed as a rung end piece. The rung end piece can be inserted into one end of a hollow rung. A rung holder designed as a rung end piece can, in particular, contain a magnet made of a hard magnetic material.

[0011] In the method according to the invention for producing an insulating glass pane with a glazing bar insert held in place by magnetic force, the spacer made of a plastic-based material is applied in a frame-like manner to a first of the glass panels. The spacer runs along the edges of the glass panel. At least one magnet is inserted into the spacer. This can be done before or after the spacer is applied to the first glass panel. The magnet can be contained in a glazing bar holder which is inserted into the spacer. The glazing bar insert is then attached to the frame-like spacer, which is located on the first glass panel and is provided with at least one magnet. One magnet in the glazing bar insert and one magnet in the spacer interact to form a pair of magnets which hold the glazing bar insert in position. After the glazing bar insert is attached, the frame-shaped spacer is joined to a second of the glass panels, so that the spacer and the glazing bar insert are located between the first and second glass panels. Further process steps, such as gas filling, can be performed intermediately or subsequently in a conventional manner.

[0012] For example, a plastic strand can be used as a spacer, which is applied to the first glass panel with a predetermined thickness. The strand can, in particular, be made of a thermoplastic material. A method and a device for applying a plastic strand as a spacer are known from DE 44 33 749 A1. After the plastic strand has been applied to the first glass panel, the at least one magnet or the bar holder is inserted into the strand. The strand can still be plastically deformable.

[0013] Alternatively, a prefabricated plastic strip, which is processed from a roll and is known, for example, from DE 102 12 359 A1, can be used as a spacer. The spacer strip has a rectangular cross-section with two wide sides and two narrow sides. Each of the narrow sides is designed to be placed on one of the glass panels. With this alternative, at least one magnet or the bar holder can first be inserted into one of the wide sides of the spacer strip. The spacer strip, equipped with at least one magnet, is then applied to the first glass panel.

[0014] The invention has significant advantages: Attaching a glazing bar insert to a spacer made of a plastic-based material, especially from a still-plastic strand, can be carried out more easily and effectively. This significantly simplifies the assembly process during the manufacture of the insulating glass pane. When attaching the glazing bar insert to the frame-shaped spacer, essentially only the magnetic forces act on the spacer. These forces are very low. This minimizes the risk of the spacer becoming undesirably deformed or damaged during attachment. Nevertheless, the holding forces from the magnets are sufficient to hold the glazing bar insert securely in position. Once the insulating glass pane is fully assembled, the glazing bar insert is held precisely and securely inside the insulating glass pane. The magnetic attachment of the glazing bar insert to the spacer allows the glazing bar insert to be positioned between the two glass panels in such a way that the glazing bar insert does not touch either of the glass panels. This is particularly advantageous when the glass panels have a coating on their inward-facing surface. The glazing bar holders and magnets also do not touch the glass panels. The insertion of the glazing bar holders into the spacer can be easily automated. This ensures very precise positioning of the glazing bar insert in the frame-shaped spacer or in the insulating glass pane. Overall, the appearance and quality of insulating glass panes with an inserted glazing bar frame can be improved.

[0015] In one embodiment of the invention, the spacer strip can contain several magnets, which are inserted at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the spacer strip. This can be advantageous for the efficient production of insulating glass panes in standard formats.

[0016] In a further embodiment of the invention, one of the magnets of the magnet pair or the rung holder containing it can be inserted into the spacer. The other magnet of the magnet pair or the rung holder containing it can be arranged in the rung insert, in particular movable at one of its ends. In particular, the hard magnet can be arranged in the rung insert and the soft magnet in the spacer. In particular, at least one magnet is arranged at each end of the rung. A rung holder can contain two or more magnets in order to provide a higher holding force for the rung insert.

[0017] The at least one magnet can be movably arranged in the magnet holder, specifically movable along the longitudinal direction of the rung. In one embodiment, the at least one magnet can be movably attached to the rung holder. A linear guide can be provided for the magnet in order to movably guide the magnet along the longitudinal direction of the rung. The rung insert and / or the magnet holder can contain the linear guide. The magnet can have a cylindrical section with which it sits in the linear guide and is displaceable relative to the magnet holder and / or the rung insert. The magnet can have a recess in the insulating glass pane for contacting the other magnet of the magnet pair. This creates a positive connection between the magnets, which increases the holding forces of the magnet pair. An additional magnet can be fixed in the rung holder. The additional magnet is immovably attached to the magnet holder.

[0018] In a further embodiment, the rung holder can have at least one projection. The projection allows the rung holder to be inserted into the rung insert or the spacer. The projection can be formed integrally with the magnet or the magnet holder. The projection is designed to hold the rung holder in the rung insert or in the spacer. For this purpose, the projection can have a tip for piercing the spacer. The projection can be designed as a pointed spike. The projection can contain sharp-edged extensions and / or barbs for holding the magnet in the spacer and / or the rung.

[0019] Further details and advantages of the invention are explained using exemplary embodiments of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. Identical and corresponding components are provided with identical reference numerals. They show: Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an insulating glass pane according to the invention, Figure 2 shows a front view of the insulating glass pane of the Figure 1 , Figure 3 an enlarged view of area III of the Figure 2 , Figure 4 a perspective view of the Figure 3 shown area without rung insert, Figure 5 a plan view of a rung holder according to the invention for insertion into a spacer, Figure 6 a sectional view of the rung holder of the Figure 5 , Figure 7 a sectional view of a rung holder according to the invention for insertion into a rung insert, Figure 8 a perspective view of the rung holder of the Figure 7 , Figure 9 an enlarged and sectional view of a section of a variant of an insulating glass pane according to the invention, Figure 10 four variants of bar holders according to the invention for insertion into a spacer, Figure 11 a view similar Figure 9to a further variant of the invention, Figure 12 a view similar Figure 9 to a further variant of the invention, Figure 13 a view similar Figure 9 to a further variant of the invention, Figure 14 a view similar Figure 7 on a variant of a rung holder for insertion into a rung insert, Figure 15 a perspective view of the rung holder of the Figure 14 .

[0020] In the Figures 1 and 21 shows an insulating glass pane 1 according to the invention, which contains a first glass panel 2, a second glass panel 3, a frame-shaped spacer 4, and a glazing bar insert 5. The glazing bar insert 5 contains a plurality of glazing bars 6. The glazing bars 6 have ends 7 which are designed to be attached to the spacer 4. The spacer 4 consists of a plastic-based material and is applied in a frame-like manner along the edges to the first glass panel 2. As a spacer, a plastic strand made of a pasty mass with a predetermined desired thickness can be applied to the first glass panel 2 in a manner known per se. Alternatively, a spacer strip can be used as the spacer 4 in a manner known per se.

[0021] The rung insert 5 is positioned and held in the frame-shaped spacer 4 with the aid of rung holders 8 and 9, cf. Figures 3 to 8. The rung holder 8 is inserted into the end 7 of the hollow rung 6. The rung holder 9 is inserted into the spacer 4. The rung holder 8 contains two magnets 10 and 12 and a magnet holder 20. The rung holder 9 contains two magnets 11 and 13 and a magnet holder 21. The magnets 10 and 11 attract each other and form a magnet pair 28, which holds the rung insert 5 to the spacer 4. The magnets 12 and 13 also attract each other and form another magnet pair 29. For fixing, the magnet holder 20 has a plurality of projections 22, which are designed as barbs to make it more difficult to pull the rung holder 8 out of the rung 6. The rung holder 8 thus forms an end piece of the rung 6. The magnet holder 21 has projections 23, which are pressed into the spacer 4.The projections 23 are pointed and / or sharp-edged in order to anchor the rung holder 8 in the still plastic strand of the spacer 4.

[0022] The rung holder 8 contains additional magnets 24 and 25, which are fixed in the magnet holder 20. The additional magnet 24 is assigned to the magnet 10 and the additional magnet 25 to the magnet 12. The magnet holder 20 also contains linear guides 26. The linear guides 26 run in the longitudinal direction of the rung 6. Each of the magnets 10, 12 is slidably mounted with a cylindrical section in the respective linear guide 26 relative to the magnet holder 20. The magnets 10 and 12 are hard magnets. The magnets 11 and 13 as well as the additional magnets 24 and 25 are soft magnets. Before the rung holder 8 is installed in the end 7, the magnets 10 and 12 are fully seated in the magnet holder 20 and are in contact with the additional magnets 24, 25, see Figure 7. The additional magnets 24, 25 prevent the magnets 10, 12 from accidentally falling out of the linear guides 26 when the rung insert 5 is installed.

[0023] After the frame-shaped spacer 4 has been applied to the first glass panel 2, a bar holder 9 is inserted into the spacer 4 at the appropriate position for each end 7. If necessary, counter-holding can be provided to prevent the spacer 4 from being accidentally moved. The prepared bar insert 5, which contains a bar holder 8 at each end 7, is then attached to the spacer 4. When the bar insert 5 is attached to the spacer 4, the magnet 10 is attracted to the magnet 11. If there is a small gap 31 between the two bar holders 8 and 9 due to dimensional tolerances, the magnet 10 is pulled slightly out of the linear guide 26 until it comes into contact with the magnet 11, see. Figure 3 To ensure this, a greater force of attraction acts between magnets 10 and 11 than between magnets 10 and 24. For this purpose, the additional magnet 24 can have a significantly smaller cross-section than magnets 10 and 11. The magnet cross-section is determined in a section perpendicular to the linear guide 26. The cross-section of the additional magnet 24 can be less than a quarter of the cross-section of magnet 10. The same applies to magnets 12, 13 and the corresponding additional magnet 25. The magnet pairs 28, 29 at each end 7 hold the glazing bar insert 5 securely and precisely between the glass panels 2 and 3. In a manner known per se, a sealing compound can then be applied in the area outside the spacer 4 between the two glass panels 2 and 3.

[0024] The Figure 9shows an intermediate stage in the manufacture of the insulating glass pane 1, which is prepared for the placement of the second glass panel 3 onto the spacer 4. The spacer 4 has been applied in a frame-like manner to the first glass panel 2. The glazing bar holder 9 is formed integrally with the magnet 15 from a soft magnetic material. The magnet 15 contains a projection or extension 23 in the form of a pointed mandrel 33, see top left in Figure 10 , with which the rung holder 9 was inserted into the spacer 4. The rung holder 8 is inserted into the end 7 of the hollow rung 6 and contains only one magnet 14, cf. Figures 14 and 15 , and is otherwise similar to the rung holder described above for the Figures 7 and 8 Then the rung insert 5 was placed on the spacer 4 so that the magnet 14 interacts with the magnet 15 and forms the magnet pair 28. In the illustration of the Figure 9It can be seen that the spacer 4 has a rectangular cross-section with two opposite broad sides 41 and 42 and two opposite narrow sides 43 and 44. If the spacer 4 is designed as a spacer strip, the narrow sides 43, 44 are each designed to be placed on the respective glass panel 2, 3. For this purpose, the narrow sides 43, 44 can have grooves and / or steps in a manner not shown but known per se for receiving adhesive which bonds the spacer 4 to the glass panels 2, 3. The magnet 15 is inserted into the spacer 4 from the broad side 42 facing the inside of the insulating glass pane 1. The opposite broad side 41 remains intact. This can be advantageous if the spacer strip is provided on its broad side 41 with a water vapor-impermeable film in a manner known per se.

[0025] As a variant, to improve the fastening, the magnet 15' can be provided with barbs 34 on its mandrel 33, see bottom left in Figure 10 In a further variant, the magnet 17 contains a recess 36 which is conical, see top right in Figure 10 and Figure 11 The end of the magnet 16 facing the magnet 17 is shaped to fit the recess 36 and contains a cone for this purpose. This improves the positioning of the rung insert 5 and increases the holding force of the magnet pair 28 consisting of the magnets 16 and 17. In the case of the Figure 10 and in Figure 12 In the variant shown, the recess 36' in the magnet 17' and the corresponding end of the magnet 16' are spherical. Furthermore, the embodiments of the Figures 11 and 12 in the same way as the embodiment of the Figure 9 designed.

[0026] In the Figure 13In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the muntin holder 9 is also formed in one piece with the magnet 19, but is inserted into the spacer 4 from the outward-facing broad side 41. This can be advantageous if the spacer 4 was applied to the glass panel 2 as a plastic strand and the magnet 18 is then inserted into the still plastic strand. More space is available on the outside of the spacer 4 for a device for inserting the magnet 19. The pointed mandrel 33 is pierced through the spacer 4 and protrudes from the spacer 4 on the inward-facing broad side 42. To insert the muntin insert 5, a corresponding distance 45 of the end 7 from the spacer 4 is therefore required. In this embodiment, the magnet 18 is also mounted in the muntin holder 8 by means of a linear guide 26.An additional magnet 24 can also be provided here, although not shown. The magnet pair 28 consisting of magnets 18 and 19 thus holds the rung insert 5 in position with a positive fit. List of reference symbols
