Description
Background of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a fitting arrangement for a lift-slide sash comprising a profile rail with a base section and two side sections projecting from the base section, a drive rod movably guided in the profile rail, an energy storage device which is fastened on the one hand to the profile rail and on the other hand to the drive rod, wherein a pin is provided for fastening the energy storage device to the profile rail, which pin extends through a first bore in a first mounting section of the energy storage device and engages in two recesses of the two side sections.
[0002] Such a fitting arrangement is known, for example, from EP 3 527 764 A1.
[0003] Lift-and-slide sashes with such hardware arrangements are used on windows or, in particular, doors. In a raised position, the lift-and-slide sash can be moved along a building-fixed track to open or close a building opening. In a lowered position, the lift-and-slide sash is immovable and closes the building opening. To raise or lower the lift-and-slide sash, a handle is typically turned. By turning the handle, the drive rod and, if necessary, other hardware components can be used to move rollers of carriages, for example, away from or closer to carriages mounted on the sash, thereby raising or lowering the sash. In order to reduce the forces required to operate the handle, it is generally known to support the drive rod on the lift-and-slide sash with springs via the energy storage device.
[0004] EP 3 527 764 A1 describes a fitting assembly for a lifting-sliding element that is displaceable along a guide rail and can be transferred from a lowered position, in which the lifting-sliding element is immovable, to a raised position in which the lifting-sliding element is displaceable. The fitting assembly comprises a lifting device for lowering and raising the lifting-sliding element, which comprises an actuating lever, at least one lifting element, and a transmission gear with at least one drive rod, via which the at least one lifting element is drivingly coupled to the actuating lever. The fitting assembly further comprises a gas pressure spring, which is drivingly coupled to the lifting device in such a way that it counteracts the weight force of the lifting-sliding element during both the lowering and the raising of the lifting-sliding element. The fitting assembly can comprise a faceplate that can be firmly attached to the lift-and-slide element, along which the drive rod is slidably guided, with one end of the gas pressure spring being coupled to the drive rod and the other end of the gas pressure spring being coupled to the faceplate. The gas pressure spring comprises a cylinder and a piston rod accommodated by the cylinder, which is displaceable relative to the cylinder. To connect the cylinder to the faceplate, a tab is provided on the base of the cylinder. This tab is attached by means of a fastening element to two flanges that protrude perpendicularly from the first faceplate.
[0005] A similar arrangement is known from EP 2 918 762 A1. EP 2 918 762 A1 describes in particular a lifting / sliding door arrangement comprising a stationary frame, a horizontally displaceable door leaf and a lifting device for raising and lowering the door leaf, wherein the lifting device comprises a manually operable handle and a transmission gear with a pull rod coupled for movement to the handle, wherein a damper device is provided which, when the door leaf is lowered, exerts a damping force on the pull rod opposite to the direction of movement of the pull rod, wherein the damper device is arranged laterally next to a section of the pull rod. The pneumatic or hydraulic damper device comprises a cylinder and a piston displaceable relative to the cylinder.A profile rail connected to the door leaf forms a U-shaped boundary of a groove, which serves both to accommodate the pull rod and the damper device. A bearing block is provided to connect the cylinder to the profile rail. This bearing block is also located within the groove and is secured to the profile rail by a bolt or rivet. Object of the invention
[0006] It is an object of the invention to simplify the assembly of a power-assisted fitting arrangement for a lift-slide sash. Description of the invention
[0007] This object is achieved according to the invention by a fitting arrangement having the features specified in claim 1, a wing arrangement according to claim 15 and a locking arrangement according to claim 16. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims and the description.
[0008] According to the invention, a fitting assembly is provided for a lift-and-slide sash. The lift-and-slide sash is typically used as part of a door or window.
[0009] The fitting assembly comprises a profile rail with a base section and two side sections protruding from the base section. In other words, the profile rail has a U-shaped cross-section. Typically, the open end of the U-shaped cross-section is oriented toward the lift-and-slide sash when mounted on the lift-and-slide sash. Thus, the profile rail can enclose a receiving space for additional fittings. The profile rail can also be referred to as a faceplate.
[0010] The hardware assembly also includes a drive rod that is movably guided within the profile rail. When used with a lift-and-slide sash with this hardware assembly, the drive rod transmits the movement of a handle to a lifting device, such as a carriage.
[0011] The fitting assembly further comprises an energy storage device, which is attached on one side to the profile rail and on the other side to the drive rod. When the drive rod moves along the profile rail, which corresponds to a lowering of the lift / slide sash, the energy storage device is charged. In other words, potential energy is stored in the energy storage device. This slows down the lowering of the lift / slide sash. Furthermore, the risk of the handle snapping into the closed position is reduced. When the drive rod moves along the profile rail, which corresponds to a raising of the lift / slide sash, the potential energy stored in the energy storage device is released. This assists in the raising of the lift / slide sash.
[0012] To secure the energy storage device to the profile rail, a pin is provided that extends through a first hole in a first mounting section of the energy storage device and engages in two recesses in the two side sections. Thus, a first end of the energy storage device is immovably supported on the profile rail.
[0013] According to the invention, a one-piece retaining element with two fixing sections engages into a groove of the pin on either side of the first mounting section. In other words, the pin has two grooves that are arranged on either side of the mounting section when mounted. The grooves are thus each located between the first mounting section of the energy storage device and an adjacent side section of the profile rail. The retaining element is designed as a one-piece component with two fixing sections. One of the fixing sections of the retaining element engages into each of the grooves of the pin.
[0014] During installation, the energy storage device is typically first positioned within the profile rail. To secure the energy storage device to the profile rail, the pin can then be easily pushed through the recesses in the side sections and the first hole in the first mounting section of the energy storage device. The retaining element is then positioned on the pin so that the fixing sections each engage in one of the grooves. This secures the pin along its axis. Installation is thus possible without tools and in just a few simple steps. Furthermore, an energy storage device secured in this way can be easily retrofitted. For this purpose, it is sufficient that the corresponding recesses in the profile rail and a mounting point on the drive rod are present.
[0015] The retaining element can be designed to lock into the pin's grooves. This prevents the retaining element from accidentally detaching from the pin. Only a small locking force is required when installing the retaining element.
[0016] Preferably, the fixing sections are each formed with receiving slots that are open on one side. This facilitates the arrangement of the fixing sections in the grooves of the pin. The inside width of the receiving slots can decrease in some areas from the closed to the open end, thus enabling locking on the pin. Alternatively, the inside width of the receiving slots can be at least as large as the diameter of the pin in the region of the grooves. The retaining element can thus be arranged on the pin with particularly little effort, in particular essentially without any forces acting between the pin and the retaining element.
[0017] For captive fixation, the retaining element can be locked to the profile rail. To do this, the retaining element can be rotated around the pin after the fixing sections have been positioned on the pin.
[0018] The retaining element preferably has a U-shaped body in cross-section, which is particularly preferably locked into the profile rail. This allows the retaining element to be secured to the profile rail. This additionally ensures that the fixing sections of the retaining element do not detach from the pin. The U-shaped cross-section achieves a compact design of the retaining element. In particular, the retaining element can overlap the energy storage device.
[0019] The body of the retaining element can have two projections that engage with recesses on both side sections of the profile rail. This allows for a simple locking mechanism between the retaining element and the profile rail. The recesses can extend over the entire length of the profile rail.
[0020] Advantageously, the projections extend only over a portion of the body remote from the fixing sections. This further simplifies the assembly of the retaining element. Particularly if the retaining element has receiving slots open on one side, the retaining element can first be pre-positioned on the pin. Then, by pivoting the retaining element about the pin's axis, the projections on the retaining element are brought into engagement with the recesses on the profile rail. The distance between the projections and the fixing sections can be at least 2 cm, in particular at least 4 cm.
[0021] Preferably, the body of the retaining element covers the energy storage device at least partially, particularly in the area where the energy storage device is attached to the drive rod. In particular, the body of the retaining element can cover a second mounting section for attaching the energy storage device to the drive rod. This overlap ensures that the energy storage device does not detach from the drive rod. This simplifies the installation of the fitting assembly on the lift-and-slide sash. The body of the retaining element can also protect the energy storage device from access or damage.
[0022] Preferably, an eccentric bolt is provided for fastening the energy storage device to the drive rod, which bolt extends through a second bore of a second mounting section of the energy storage device and is rotatably mounted on the drive rod. During assembly, the energy storage device is typically first placed onto the eccentric bolt via the second bore. The pin is then pushed through the first bore and the recesses in the profile rail. By setting a suitable rotational position of the eccentric bolt, this can be achieved essentially without force. The eccentric bolt can then be rotated, in particular by 180°, in order to eliminate play between the energy storage device and the profile rail or the drive rod and to preload the energy storage device.
[0023] If the energy storage device is sufficiently powerful to ensure low-resistance raising and lowering of the sash, there is a certain risk that a handle controlling the drive rod will snap from a closed to an open position. This risk can be reduced by taking the measures described below.
[0024] A locking mechanism can be provided to lock the drive rod to the profile rail in a defined sliding position, which corresponds in particular to a lowered position of the lift-and-slide sash. The desired security is thus achieved by releasably securing the drive rod to the profile rail. When operating the handle, the locking mechanism of the drive rod can be overcome with moderate force.
[0025] Preferably, the locking mechanism comprises a housing part mounted on the profile rail, in which at least one spring-loaded ball is guided, and at least one recess in the drive rod for engagement of the at least one ball. The housing part with the spring-loaded ball can be easily mounted on the profile rail.
[0026] The fitting assembly can comprise a rotatable handle and a gear mechanism, wherein the gear mechanism causes the drive rod to move along the profile rail when the handle is rotated. The gear mechanism thus converts the rotation of the handle into a translation of the drive rod. The translation achieved by the handle and the gear mechanism reduces the force required to raise and lower the lift-and-slide sash. The energy storage device provided according to the invention further reduces the force required.
[0027] It is preferably provided that the gear has a gear box, a gear nut which can be rotated in the gear box about a rotational axis, and a leaf spring fixed in the gear box, wherein the leaf spring is supported on an outer surface of the gear nut in a defined rotational position of the gear nut, which corresponds in particular to a lowered position of the lift / slide sash, such that the gear nut can be locked in this defined rotational position. The rotational axis of the gear nut typically corresponds to a rotational axis of the handle. The gear nut can have a flat section on the outer surface for the leaf spring to bear against. When the gear nut or the handle is in the defined rotational position, the leaf spring rests under spring tension on the gear nut, in particular the flat section. The gear nut is shaped such that a flat section is required to rotate the handle orThe leaf spring must first be tensioned more strongly to move the gear nut from the defined rotational position. This allows the defined rotational position to be secured directly on the gear.
[0028] The energy storage device can comprise a gas spring. The gas spring can provide a high spring force in a small space and low weight.
[0029] Alternatively or additionally, the energy storage device can comprise a damper element. The damper element can operate hydraulically or pneumatically. When the drive rod moves, corresponding to a lowering of the lift-and-slide sash, energy is dissipated (converted into heat) in the damper element. When the drive rod moves in the opposite direction, corresponding to a raising of the lift-and-slide sash, typically no energy is dissipated in the damper element. The damper element can thus operate in a direction-dependent manner, with a damping effect being generated in particular only in one direction.
[0030] It can be provided that an additional energy storage device is attached to the profile rail on one side and to the drive rod on the other. This can provide greater power support for heavy lift / slide panels. The additional energy storage device can be attached to the profile rail and drive rod in the same way as the (first) energy storage device.
[0031] The fitting assembly can further comprise at least one carriage with a mounting part for attachment to the lift-and-slide sash and with at least one roller, which is moved away from or closer to the mounting part when the drive rod moves along the profile rail. The carriage thus causes a lift-and-slide sash with the fitting assembly to be raised or lowered when the drive rod moves.
[0032] The present invention also includes a leaf assembly for a door or window, comprising a lift-and-slide leaf and a fitting assembly according to the invention as described above. The fitting assembly is preferably attached to the lift-and-slide leaf. The energy storage device or another energy storage device of the fitting assembly can, in particular, be retrofitted to the leaf assembly.
[0033] Also within the scope of the present invention is a closure assembly for a building opening comprising a frame fixed to the building and a sash assembly according to the invention as described above. The frame typically includes a track on which the lift-and-slide sash (in the raised state) can be moved to open or close the building opening.
[0034] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description, the claims, and the drawings. According to the invention, the above-mentioned and further-described features can be used individually or in combination in any convenient way. The embodiments shown and described are not intended to be exhaustive, but rather are exemplary in nature for describing the invention. Detailed description of the invention and drawing
[0035] The invention is illustrated in the drawing and described using exemplary embodiments. [0036] Figure 1 shows a locking arrangement 10in the form of a lift-and-slide door for a building opening not shown in detail. The locking arrangement 10 has a lift-and-slide wing 12 and a building-solid frame 14 (symbolically shown only) which surrounds the building opening. On the floor side, the frame includes a (symbolically shown only) guide rail 16. In a raised position, the lift-and-slide sash 12 can be moved along the guide rail 16 to selectively close or open the building opening. In a lowered position, the lift-and-slide sash 12 is immovable.
[0037] In order to move the lift-slide sash 12 into the raised or lowered position, a fitting arrangement 20 The lift-slide sash 12 and the fitting assembly 20 can be used together as a sash assembly 22 be referred to.
[0038] The fitting arrangement 20 has a rotatable handle 24A rotation of the handle 24 is transmitted via a gear 26 on a Figure 1 concealed drive rod, which is in a profile rail 28 The longitudinal movement of the drive rod is transmitted via a generally known deflection to one or more carriages 30 The carriages 30 each have a mounting part that can be fixed to the lifting-sliding wing 12 32 and typically several rollers 34 When the drive rod moves in a first direction along the profile rail 28, the rollers 34 of the carriages 30 are moved away from the mounting part 22 or the lift-and-slide sash 12 in the vertical direction to raise the lift-and-slide sash 12. When the drive rod moves in the opposite direction, the rollers 34 are moved closer to the mounting part 22 or the lift-and-slide sash 12 in the vertical direction to lower the lift-and-slide sash 12.
[0039] Figure 2shows the profile rail 28 of the fitting assembly 20 in a partially sectioned view. Figure 3 is an enlarged section of Figure 2 The fitting arrangement 20 has an energy storage device 36 which is fixed on the one hand to the profile rail 28 and on the other hand to the drive rod 38 To fasten the energy storage device 36 to the profile rail 28, a pin 40 which has a first bore 42 in a first assembly phase 44 of the energy storage device 36. To fasten the energy storage device 36 to the drive rod 38, an eccentric bolt 46 which has a second hole 48 in a second assembly phase 50 the energy storage device 36. The eccentric bolt 46 is rotatably mounted on the drive rod 38.
[0040] The energy storage device 36 is designed here as a gas spring with a damper element. When the lifting / sliding wing 12 is lowered, whereby in the illustrated embodiment the two mounting sections 44, 50 of the energy storage device 36 approach each other, the gas spring is compressed. The spring force thus counteracts the weight force acting on the lifting / sliding wing 12. In addition, the damper element creates a speed-dependent damper force that counteracts the lowering movement. When the lifting / sliding wing 12 is raised, whereby the two mounting sections 44, 50 of the energy storage device 36 move away from each other, the energy storage device 36 releases potential energy. In other words, the spring force supports the lifting of the lifting / sliding wing 12. Preferably, no damper force counteracts the lifting.
[0041] The process of mounting the energy storage device 36 on the profile rail 28 and on the drive rod 38 is described in the Figures 4, 5 , 10 and 11 illustrated.
[0042] Figure 4 shows an initial state in which the drive rod 38 is already arranged in the profile rail 28. The eccentric bolt 46 is mounted on the drive rod 38. In Figure 4 It can be seen that the profile rail 28 has a U-shaped cross-section, with two side sections 52 from a base section 54 (compare Figure 3 ) away. The side sections 52 are aligned parallel to each other and perpendicular to the base section 54. In each of the two side sections 52 there is a recess 56 designed to insert the pin 40.
[0043] In a first assembly step, the energy storage device 36 is arranged in the profile rail 28, wherein the eccentric bolt 46 is inserted into the second bore 48, see Figure 5 . Then, the pin 40 is inserted so that it engages in a first of the recesses 56, the first hole 48 and a second of the recesses 56, compare Figure 5 . The eccentric bolt 46 is rotated so that the insertion of the pin 40 is possible when the energy storage device 36 is relaxed; this rotational position of the eccentric bolt 46 is in Figure 6 shown. After the pin 40 has been inserted, the eccentric bolt 46 is rotated by 180° so that the energy storage device 36 is slightly preloaded between the pin 40 and the eccentric bolt 46; this rotational position is shown in Figure 7 shown.
[0044] Preferably before turning the eccentric bolt 46, the pin 40 is secured by means of a Figures 8 and 9 shown holding element58 secured; the rotation of the eccentric bolt 46 can alternatively also take place after the attachment of the holding element 58 to the pin 40. The holding element 58 has two fixing sections 60 for engaging in grooves 62 (compare Figure 4 ) of the pin 40. Between and beyond the grooves 62, the diameter of the pin 40 is larger than in the area of the grooves 62. In the embodiment shown, the holding element 58 also has an elongated body 64 with U-shaped cross-section, compare in particular Figures 8 and 9 The fixing sections 60 are formed on the body 64. The holding element 58 is a single, one-piece, or in other words, monolithic component. The fixing sections 60 are each provided with a receiving slot open on one side. 66 provided.
[0045] The grooves 62 of the pin 40 are spaced apart so that they lie on both sides of the first mounting section 44 of the energy storage device 26 and between the side sections 52 of the profile rail 28. The spacing of the fixing sections 60 corresponds to the spacing of the grooves 62. The holding element 58 is arranged such that the fixing sections 60 are each received between the first mounting section 40 and the adjacent side section 52, see Figure 10 . For this purpose, the retaining element 58 with the receiving slots 66 is pushed onto the pin 40 so that the fixing sections engage in the grooves 62. The retaining element 58 can then be locked onto the pin 40.
[0046] Finally, the holding element 58 is rotated around the pin 40 so that the body 64 covers the energy storage device 36, see Figure 11 .The holding element 58 is locked to the profile rail 28. To establish the locking, the holding element 58 has two lateral projections 68 on, compare also Figures 8 and 9 The projections 68 are spaced apart from the fixing sections 60 so as not to hinder the arrangement of the fixing sections 60 on the pin 40. When the holding element 58 is pivoted, the projections 68 engage with recesses 70, which extend at the free end of the side sections 52 along the profile rail 28, compare Figure 12 .
[0047] In Figure 12 It can also be seen that the holding element 58 engages laterally between the energy storage device and the adjacent side section 42 of the profile rail 28. Furthermore, it can be seen that the drive rod 38 is guided between the energy storage device 36 and the base section 54 of the profile rail 28.
[0048] Figure 13shows an enlarged view of the gear 26. To the handle 24 (compare Figure 1 ) is via a square 72 a gear nut 74 The gear nut 74 contributes to the translation of the rotary movement of the handle 24 into a displacement of the drive rod 38 along the profile rail 28. To prevent the handle 24 from accidentally springing out of the closed position (lowered lift-slide sash 12) due to the spring force of the energy storage device 36, a locking mechanism is provided for the gear nut 74. On a gear box 76 of the gear 26 is via a spring holder 78 a leaf spring 80 fixed. In Figure 13 The leaf spring 80 extends approximately perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. In the illustrated rotational position of the gear nut 74, which corresponds to the lowered position of the lift-slide sash 12, the leaf spring 80 rests under pretension on an outer surface 82the gear nut 74. The outer surface 82 is shaped such that when the gear nut 74 is rotated from the illustrated rotational position, the leaf spring 80 is initially deformed more strongly and then relaxed. This secures the closed position of the handle 24.
[0049] To secure the drive rod 38 in the position which corresponds to the lowered position of the lift-slide wing 12, the drive rod 38 can alternatively or additionally be locked by a locking mechanism in the gear nut 74 84 be locked to the profile rail 28, see Figure 14 . The locking mechanism 84 comprises a housing part 86, that is fixed to the side sections 52 of the profile rail 28. Two balls 88 are guided in the housing part 86 and are held by springs 90 pre-tensioned towards the drive rod 38. The drive rod 38 has recesses 92which are located at the height of the balls 88 when the lift-and-slide sash 12 is in the lowered position. The balls 88 are then pressed into the recesses 92 by the springs 90. This secures the drive rod 38 in this position.
[0050] In Figure 15 is another fitting arrangement 20' The fitting arrangement 20' of Figure 15 Its structure and function essentially correspond to the previously described fitting arrangement 20; therefore, please refer to the previous description. The differences are primarily explained below.
[0051] In the fitting arrangement 20' a U-shaped holding element 58' which is in Figure 17 Two fixing sections 60 are connected by a connecting section 94connected to each other. The holding element 58' is also a single, one-piece, or in other words, monolithic component. The fixing sections 60 each have a receiving slot 66, which allows the holding element 58' to be attached to a pin 40' , compare Figure 16 To do this, the receiving slots 66 are pushed onto the pin 40' in the area of the grooves 62. In other words, the retaining element 58' is clipped onto the pin 40'.
[0052] In summary, the invention relates to a power-assisted fitting assembly for a lift-and-slide sash. An energy storage device is attached at one end to a profile rail and at the other end to a drive rod that is slidably guided in the profile rail. To attach the energy storage device to the profile rail, a pin extends through an eyelet of the energy storage device and engages in recesses in the profile rail. The pin has two grooves. A retaining element comprises two interconnected fixing sections. The retaining element engages the grooves of the pin on both sides of the energy storage device. The fixing sections are arranged within the profile rail. This fixes the pin in its axial direction. List of reference symbols
