AI Technical Summary
Existing soil processing rollers face challenges in providing reliable lubrication to components located in different radial areas relative to the roll-off axle, leading to potential excessive wear and inefficient torque transmission.
The soil processing roller features a dual lubrication system with staggered lubricating agents, where a first lubricant is positioned closer to the roll-off axis and a second lubricant is located further away, with an overflow connection allowing excess lubricant to circulate between the two areas, ensuring efficient lubrication of components across various radial distances.
This dual lubrication system effectively distributes lubricant across components in different radial areas, reducing wear and ensuring reliable torque transmission with a minimal amount of lubricant, thus enhancing the operational efficiency and longevity of the soil processing roller.
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a soil cultivation roller which can be used, for example, to compact soil such as asphalt.
[0002] To achieve a higher and more uniform degree of compaction, particularly when compacting asphalt, it is known to use soil cultivation rollers for such compaction processes. These rollers have an unbalanced arrangement with a plurality of unbalanced masses arranged at circumferential intervals around the roller's axis of rotation, each of which can be driven to rotate around its associated axis of rotation. Depending on the phase and direction of rotation of the unbalanced masses or their centers of mass relative to each other, the rotation of these unbalanced masses can, in oscillation mode, superimpose a substantially tangential oscillation torque on the rotational movement of such a soil cultivation roller around its axis of rotation, or, in vibration mode, exert a force on the soil cultivation roller that is substantially orthogonal to the roller's axis of rotation.
[0003] The various components designed to achieve such oscillation or vibration operation are essentially positioned and movable within the interior of a soil cultivation roller, surrounded by a roller shell. To ensure adequate lubrication for these rotating components, which are rotatably mounted in various bearing areas and / or transmit torque, it is necessary to maintain lubricant or a lubricant circulation system within the roller's interior.
[0004] A soil cultivation roller according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from JP H06 287908 A. In this soil cultivation roller, an inner housing is arranged concentrically to a roller shell in a volume surrounded by the roller shell, in which two unbalanced masses are rotatably arranged about axes of rotation eccentric to an axis of rotation of the roller shell. An annular volume is formed between the inner housing and the roller shell, the region of which lies below the roller axis of rotation in the vertical direction and forms a first lubricant sump into which the lower region of the inner housing immerses. A second lubricant sump is formed in a region of the inner housing that lies below the roller axis of rotation in the vertical direction. The upper level of the second lubricant sump lies above the upper level of the first lubricant sump in the vertical direction. As the soil cultivation roller rotates, the unbalanced masses, positioned eccentrically to the roller's axis of rotation, repeatedly move through the lubricant in the second lubrication sump, particularly via the bearing areas that allow them to rotate. Heat transfer to the lubricant in the first lubrication sump via the inner housing prevents excessive heating of the lubricant in the first sump.
[0005] DE 19 10 031 A1 discloses a soil cultivation roller in which a lubricant sump is formed inside a roller shell in a lower region in one vertical direction. During the rotation of the soil cultivation roller, lubricant is repeatedly pumped from the lubricant sump into a region in which an unbalanced mass, rotatable concentrically to a roller axis of rotation, is mounted at its two axial end regions.
[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide a soil cultivation roller, in particular for a soil compactor, in which reliable lubrication of components provided in a roller interior in various radial areas with respect to a roller rotation axis of the soil cultivation roller is achieved.
[0007] According to the invention, this problem is solved by a soil cultivation roller, in particular for a soil compactor, comprising: a roller shell rotatable about a roller axis of rotation and surrounding a roller interior, an unbalance arrangement with a plurality of unbalance masses arranged at circumferential distances from one another about the roller axis of rotation, wherein each unbalance mass is capable of being driven to rotate about an associated unbalance axis of rotation, an unbalance drive with an unbalance motor and an unbalance gear system, wherein the unbalance gear system comprises at least one drive gear that can be driven to rotate by the unbalance motor and, in association with each unbalance mass, an output gear connected to it for common rotation, wherein each drive gear is coupled to at least one output gear for torque transmission, a first lubricant sump arranged in a vertical direction below the roller axis of rotation, wherein the first lubricant sump is filled or fillable with lubricant up to a first lubricant sump level having a first distance in the vertical direction from the roller axis of rotation, a second lubricant sump arranged in the vertical direction below the roller axis of rotation, wherein the second lubricant sump is filled or fillable with lubricant up to a second lubricant sump level having a second distance in the vertical direction from the roller axis of rotation, wherein the second distance is smaller than the first distance, a lubricant conveying arrangement for conveying lubricant from the first lubricant sump to the second lubricant sump, an overflow connection between the first lubricant sump and the second lubricant sump,In the operation of the lubricant conveying arrangement, when the second lubricant sump level is reached and / or exceeded, lubricant flows from the second lubricant sump into the first lubricant sump via the overflow connection.
[0008] By providing two radially staggered lubricant sumps, the system creates the possibility of lubricating components located or moving through the radial levels covered by these sumps, thus protecting them from excessive stress and aging. Simultaneously, this radial staggering of the lubricant sumps, the transfer of lubricant from the first sump to the second, and the ability to discharge excess lubricant from the second sump back into the first, create a cascade-like arrangement of the lubricant sumps with a continuous lubricant circulation system. Thus, with a comparatively small amount of lubricant used overall, and therefore avoiding the need to overfill the roller interior with lubricant, system areas positioned at different radial distances to the roller rotation axis can be reliably supplied with the amount of lubricant required for their lubrication.
[0009] For low-wear and reliable torque transmission, at least one drive gear, preferably each drive gear, can mesh with at least one output gear, and / or at least one output gear, preferably each output gear, can be connected to its associated unbalanced mass for common rotation about the unbalanced mass's axis of rotation. To generate the direction of action tangential or orthogonal to the roller's axis of rotation by means of the unbalanced arrangement, it is proposed that the unbalanced mass's axis of rotation be eccentric and / or parallel to the roller's axis of rotation. This results in efficient lubrication of components located at different heights.Components arranged at radial levels with respect to the roller rotation axis can be used with a comparatively small amount of lubricant, thus avoiding the need to fill the roller interior with an excessive amount of lubricant.
[0010] In order to collect or distribute lubricant from the first lubricant sump upwards by the lubricant conveying arrangement and direct it into the second lubricant sump, it is proposed that a lubricant collection unit open upwards in the vertical direction above the roller rotation axis be provided, and that a lubricant flow connection be provided between the lubricant collection unit and the second lubricant sump to direct lubricant collected in the lubricant collection unit into the second lubricant sump.
[0011] For efficient collection, the lubricant collection unit can comprise a trough-like lubricant collection element, preferably widening upwards in a funnel-like manner in the vertical direction.
[0012] The roller shell can be rotatably supported on a support arrangement about the roller's axis of rotation. The support arrangement comprises a rotatable support assembly part that is non-rotatably connected to the roller shell and a stationary support assembly part that rotatably supports the rotatable support assembly part. The first and second lubricant sumps can be located within a space formed in the support arrangement. This allows the two lubricant sumps to be sealed against lubricant leakage to the outside within the two support assembly parts.
[0013] In order to achieve efficient use of the interior space provided in the support arrangement, it is proposed that the first lubricant sump be provided essentially entirely within the rotatable part of the support arrangement, or / and that the second lubricant sump be provided essentially entirely within the stationary part of the support arrangement.
[0014] For force transmission coupling or torque transmission coupling with the roller shell, the unbalance masses can be rotatably mounted on the rotatable support assembly part, on which the roller shell is also supported, about their unbalance rotation axes.
[0015] The at least one drive gear and the driven gears can be arranged in a first area of the interior of the support assembly, which is essentially formed within the rotatable support assembly part. This makes it possible, particularly if the first lubricant sump is also provided in this area, to position a driven gear, positioned vertically below the roller's axis of rotation, at least partially within the first lubricant sump. It should be noted in this context that when the soil cultivation roller rotates around its axis of rotation, the unbalanced masses also move around the roller's axis of rotation with their unbalanced axes of rotation, successively moving into a position below the roller's axis of rotation and within the first lubricant sump.
[0016] To ensure that the lubricant collection unit is always positioned in an area that is upper in the vertical direction or above the roller rotation axis, it is proposed that the lubricant collection unit be provided on the stationary support assembly part, and that the lubricant flow connection be formed in the stationary support assembly part and / or in a second area of the support assembly interior that is essentially formed in the stationary support assembly part.
[0017] In order to provide a simple flow connection between the two lubricant sumps, it is proposed that a limiting element be provided on the stationary support assembly part, which limits the second lubricant sump in the direction of the roller rotation axis, and that at least one lubricant passage opening of the overflow connection be provided in the limiting element.
[0018] In order to enable simple drive access to the at least one drive gear, the roller rotation axis can penetrate the lubricant passage opening and / or the lubricant passage opening can be arranged essentially concentrically to the roller rotation axis.
[0019] To drive the unbalance masses, the unbalance gear system can comprise two drive gears and an unbalance gear unit, wherein at least one of the drive gears can be driven to rotate by the unbalance motor via the unbalance gear unit.
[0020] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, one of the drive gears can be driven by the unbalance motor via the unbalance gear unit to rotate about a drive gear axis that is preferably concentric with the roller's axis of rotation, and another of the drive gears can be driven directly by the unbalance motor to rotate about the drive gear axis. It should be noted in this context that a direct drive connection means that the drive gear driven in this way is coupled to a drive element of the unbalance motor for common rotation without the possibility of speed reduction, reversal of rotation, or change of phase. For this purpose, for example, torque-transmitting shafts or the like can be used.
[0021] The unbalanced gear unit can be designed as a rotary position adjustment gear, whereby the rotational position of one of the drive gears about the axis of rotation of the drive gear is adjustable relative to the rotational position of the other drive gear about the axis of rotation of the drive gear. For example, the unbalanced gear unit can comprise a planetary gear set. In such a design, it is preferably also provided that the unbalanced gear unit itself does not cause any change in rotational speed, or that the drive gear driven by it rotates at the same speed as the drive gear directly driven by the unbalanced motor. Only during a phase in which a change in the relative rotational position of the two drive gears is to be effected do they inevitably have temporarily different rotational speeds.
[0022] For a compact design, the unbalanced gear unit can be arranged in a second area of the carrier assembly interior, which is essentially formed in the stationary carrier assembly part.
[0023] In order to lubricate the unbalanced gear unit and its components via the second lubrication sump, a portion of the unbalanced gear unit positioned vertically below the roller's axis of rotation can be at least partially submerged in the second lubrication sump. It should also be considered that, during operation, the movement of components of the unbalanced gear unit around the roller's axis of rotation may periodically bring them into the area of the second lubrication sump, where they can be coated with lubricant.
[0024] For a lubricant delivery arrangement that is easy to design yet efficient, this arrangement can include at least one output gear, preferably all output gears, or / and at least one drive gear, preferably all drive gears.
[0025] For efficient conveying, it may further be provided that the lubricant conveying arrangement includes a plurality of conveying projections provided on the rotatable support assembly part.
[0026] The invention further relates to a soil cultivation machine, in particular a soil compactor, comprising at least one soil cultivation roller constructed according to the invention.
[0027] The present invention is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. These show: Fig. 1 a side view of a soil cultivation machine designed as a soil compactor with a soil cultivation roller; Fig. 2 a longitudinal section view of a soil cultivation machine Fig. 1 usable soil cultivation roller; Fig. 3 an axial view of the soil cultivation roller of the Fig. 2 , which defines the cutting plane of the Fig. 2 Illustrated; Fig. 4, detail IV in Fig. 2 enlarged; Fig. 5 a perspective, partially cutaway view of the soil cultivation roller of the Fig. 2 ; Fig. 6 a perspective view of a lubricant collection element of the soil cultivation roller of the Fig. 2 ; Fig. 7 a front view of the lubricant collection element of the Fig. 6 in the direction of VII in Fig. 6 ; Fig. 8 a side view of the lubricant collection element of the Fig. 6 in the direction of VIII in Fig. 6 Fig. 9 a longitudinal sectional view of the lubricant collection element of the Fig. 6 , cut along a line IX-IX in Fig. 8 Fig. 10 shows a cross-sectional view of the lubricant collection element of the Fig. 6 , cut along a line XX in Fig. 7 .
[0028] In Fig. 1 A soil cultivation machine designed as a soil compactor is generally designated by 10. The soil cultivation machine 10 comprises a rear carriage 12 on which a drive unit and drive wheels 16, driven by this unit for moving the soil cultivation machine 10 on a surface 14, are provided. A control platform, generally designated by 18, is also provided on the rear carriage 12, from which an operator can control the soil cultivation machine 10.
[0029] The rear carriage 12 is articulatedly connected to a front carriage, generally designated 20. A soil cultivation roller 22 is mounted on the front carriage 20 around a point relative to the plane of the drawing. Fig. 1 The orthogonal roller rotation axis is rotatably supported. The front carriage 20 surrounds the soil cultivation roller 22 in a frame-like manner. At its two axial end regions, the soil cultivation roller 22 is supported, for example, by elastic suspensions on the front carriage 20.
[0030] It should be noted that the in Fig. 1 The illustrated soil cultivation machine 10 is only one example of such a soil cultivation machine. For example, a soil cultivation machine could also have a soil cultivation roller on the rear carriage 12, and in particular, when equipped with two soil cultivation rollers, at least one, preferably each, soil cultivation roller can be driven to rotate in order to move the soil cultivation machine 10 forward on the subsoil 14. Also in the case of the Fig. 1 In the depicted soil cultivation machine 10, the soil cultivation roller 22 can be driven to rotate about its roller axis by one of its associated roller drive motors. However, the movement of the soil cultivation machine 10 over the subsoil 14 can also be generated solely by driving the drive wheels 16.
[0031] The Fig. 2 bis 5 Figure 1 shows the structure of a soil cultivation roller 22 that can be used with the soil cultivation machine 10. The soil cultivation roller 22 comprises a cylindrical roller shell 24 surrounding the roller rotation axis W of the same, which surrounds a roller interior 26 or closes off radially to the outside.
[0032] An unbalance arrangement, generally designated 28, is provided in the interior of the roller 26. In the illustrated embodiment, the unbalance arrangement 28 comprises two unbalance masses 301, 302, arranged at a circumferential distance from each other around the roller axis of rotation W, or arranged opposite each other with respect to the roller axis of rotation W. Each of the unbalance masses 301, 302 is rotatable about an unbalance axis of rotation U that is parallel to and eccentric with respect to the roller axis of rotation W, wherein preferably the unbalance axes of rotation U of the unbalance masses 301, 302 have the same radial distance from the roller axis of rotation W. The unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2 can be driven to rotate about the respective unbalance axis U, so that a mass center M of the unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2 which is eccentric with respect to the respective unbalance axis U rotates about the respective associated unbalance axis U.
[0033] The unbalance masses 301, 302 of the unbalance arrangement 28 are rotatably supported at their two axial end regions in the interior of the roller 26 by respective bearing arrangements 36, 40. For this purpose, two support rings 32, 34, generally also referred to as discs, are provided in the interior of the roller 26 at an axial distance from each other along the roller rotation axis W and fixed to the inside of the roller shell 24, for example by welding. Fig. 2 The unbalance masses 301, 302 are rotatably mounted on a carrier disc 38, which is fixed to the carrier ring 34, for example by screws, via bearing units 36 on the right-hand support ring 34. Fig. 2 The unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2 are located in the end areas recognizable on the left via respective bearing units 40 on a subsequent, in particular also with reference to the Fig. 4 The carrier arrangement 42, described in detail, is rotatably supported.
[0034] The in Fig. 4 The more detailed support arrangement 42 comprises a stationary support assembly part, generally designated 44, which can, for example, be supported on the front carriage 20 by an elastic suspension as previously mentioned. The stationary support assembly part 44 is therefore not rotatable about the roller axis of rotation W. The support arrangement 44 further comprises a rotatable support assembly part, generally designated 46, which rotates about the roller axis of rotation W when the soil cultivation roller 22 rotates.
[0035] The rotatable support assembly part 44 comprises an essentially disc-shaped housing part 48, which is fixed in its radially outer area, for example by screwing, to the support ring 32 and on which the unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2 are rotatably supported via the bearing units 40.
[0036] A further, essentially disc-shaped housing part 50 of the rotatable support assembly part 46 is fixed at a cylindrical extension 49 of the housing part 48, for example by means of screws, in its radially outer region. At its radially inner region, the housing part 50 is rotatably mounted about the roller rotation axis W on a substantially ring-shaped housing part 54 of the stationary support assembly part 44, which is elongated in the direction of the roller rotation axis W, via a bearing unit generally designated 52.
[0037] An unbalance motor 58 of an unbalance drive 59 is mounted on an end cover 56, which is fixed to the housing part 54 of the stationary support assembly part 44, for example by means of screws. The unbalance motor 58 can be, for example, a hydraulic motor or an electric motor, which, by means of a drive element 60, for example a drive pinion, drives the unbalance masses 301, 302 to rotate about their respective unbalance axes U in the manner described below.
[0038] A first hollow shaft 62 meshes with the drive element 60, so that the first hollow shaft 62 can be driven by the drive element 60 to rotate about the roller's axis of rotation W. A drive shaft 64 meshes with the first hollow shaft 62. At its axial end region furthest from the hollow shaft 62, the drive shaft 64 carries a first drive gear 66 and is rotatably mounted on the housing part 48 of the rotating support assembly part 46. The first drive gear 66 meshes with an output gear 68 1 associated with the unbalanced mass 30 1 or connected to it for common rotation about its unbalanced axis of rotation U. The first drive gear 66, which is coupled to the unbalance motor 58 via the first hollow shaft 62 and the drive shaft 64 directly for rotation about a drive gear axis A corresponding to the roller rotation axis W, drives the unbalance mass 30 1 to rotation.
[0039] The first hollow shaft 62 forms, at its axial end furthest from the unbalance motor 58 and coupled to the drive shaft 64 for common rotation, a first sun gear 70 of an unbalance gear unit designed as a planetary gear and generally designated 72. On a second hollow shaft 74 surrounding the drive shaft 64, a second sun gear 76 of the unbalance gear unit 72 is formed at its axial end adjacent to the first sun gear 70.
[0040] On a planet gear carrier 78, which surrounds the roller rotation axis W in a ring-like manner, sets of planet gears 80, 82, each axially adjacent to the other and each assigned to one of the two sun gears 70, 76, are rotatably mounted. A first ring gear element 86, surrounding the first sun gear 70 and providing a first ring gear 84, is assigned to the set of planet gears 70 that mesh with the first sun gear 70. A second ring gear 88, meshing with the second sun gear 76, is assigned to the planet gears 82 on a second ring gear element 90. While the second ring gear element 90 is fixedly, and in particular rotationally, mounted on the housing part 54 of the stationary carrier assembly part 44, the first ring gear element 86 is mounted in the second ring gear element 90 by a Fig. 5 The actuator 92 is rotatably mounted about the roller rotation axis W with respect to the second ring gear element 90. The actuator 92 can, for example, comprise a worm gear drive that interacts with the first ring gear element 86.
[0041] A second drive gear 94 is non-rotatably connected to the axial end of the second hollow shaft 74, furthest from the second sun gear 76. The second drive gear 94 lies axially directly adjacent to the first drive gear 66 and meshes with a drive gear 68 2 associated with the unbalance mass 30 2 .
[0042] If the first hollow shaft 62, which also directly drives the drive shaft 64, is driven by the unbalance motor 58 to rotate about a drive gear axis A corresponding to the roller rotation axis W, then, due to the fact that in the illustrated embodiment of the unbalance gear unit 72 the two sun gears 70, 76, the two ring gears 84, 88 and also the planet gears 80, 82 each have the same diameter relative to each other, the rotation of the drive element 60 is transmitted without change in speed to the second drive gear 94, which drives the unbalance mass 30 2 to rotate at the same speed and direction of rotation as the unbalance mass 30 1.
[0043] If the phase relationship between the unbalanced masses 301 and 302, which rotate at the same speed, is to be changed, the first ring gear element 86 is rotated about the roller's axis of rotation W. During this rotation, this causes a change in the rotational speed of the second hollow shaft 74 relative to the rotational speed of the first hollow shaft 62, and consequently also a temporary change in the rotational speed of the unbalanced mass 302 driven by the second drive gear 94. This results in a change in the phase relationship of the center of mass M of the unbalanced mass 302 relative to the phase relationship of the center of mass M of the unbalanced mass 301. Once the desired extent of the phase change is reached, the rotational movement of the first ring gear element 86 is stopped, so that both unbalanced masses 301 and 302 then rotate at the same speed again.
[0044] By adjusting the phase position of the centers of mass M of the two unbalanced masses 301, 302, it becomes possible to switch the unbalanced arrangement 28 between different operating states. If the two unbalanced masses 301, 302 are arranged such that, as in Fig. 2 It is recognizable that the centers of mass M of the unbalanced masses have the same phase orientation, and thus the force vectors occurring at the unbalanced masses 301, 302, which are orthogonal to the respective unbalanced rotation axis U, are parallel to each other and oriented in the same way. These forces add up constructively, so that in every rotational position of the unbalanced masses 301, 302, a force orthogonal to the roller rotation axis W acts on the soil cultivation roller 22, and the unbalanced arrangement 28 thus operates in a vibratory mode. If the phase orientation of the centers of mass M is changed by relative rotation of the unbalanced masses 301, 302 from the position shown in the diagram, the force vectors acting on the unbalanced roller 22 is also affected. Fig. 2 The positioning shown is changed by 180° without phase shift, resulting in a phase shift of 180° between the centers of mass M of the unbalance masses 301, 302. In this way, the forces acting on the unbalance masses 301, 302 during their rotation are superimposed such that a periodically changing torque is exerted on the soil cultivation roller 22 about the roller's axis of rotation W. In this state, the unbalance arrangement 28 operates in oscillation mode. By changing the phase position of the centers of mass M of the unbalance masses 301, 302 between the two previously mentioned relative positions by acting on the unbalance drive unit 72, the unbalance arrangement 28 can thus be switched between vibration and oscillation modes.
[0045] It should be noted that the unbalance arrangement 28 can also be configured with a different number of unbalance masses. For example, four unbalance masses can be provided at an angular distance of 90° to each other around the roller axis of rotation W, with unbalance masses diametrically opposite each other with respect to the roller axis of rotation W forming a pair of unbalance masses. In this pair, the two unbalance masses are driven by one of the two drive gears to rotate together, i.e., to rotate at the same speed and in the same direction. By acting on the unbalance gear unit 72, the phase relationship of the centers of mass of the two pairs of unbalance masses can be changed relative to each other. This makes it possible to vary the magnitude and orientation of a force, which is essentially orthogonal to the roller axis of rotation W, during the vibration operation of the unbalance arrangement 28 in rotational operation.
[0046] To achieve this rotational movement of the unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2, the unbalance gear unit 72, the drive gears 66, 94 and the output gears 68 1 , 68 2 driven by these to rotate form an unbalance gear system of the unbalance drive 59, generally designated 96. In order to protect the various rotating components of this unbalance gear system 96, which mesh with each other, and also the bearing units supporting these components from excessive wear, liquid lubricant, for example oil or the like, is contained in a carrier assembly interior 98 formed in the support arrangement 42. To seal this carrier assembly interior 98 against the escape of lubricant, sealing units 100 are assigned to the unbalance masses 30 1 , 30 2 with respect to the housing part 48 of the rotating carrier assembly part 46 against the escape of fluid. The rotating support assembly part 46 is tightly sealed off from the stationary support assembly part 44 by a sealing unit 101.
[0047] The interior of the support assembly 98 comprises a first area 102, which, particularly with regard to its axial extent, is essentially formed within the rotatable support assembly part 46 and is bounded between the housing parts 48 and 50 thereof. The first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98 also contains the two drive gears 66 and 94, as well as the output gears 681 and 682.
[0048] The interior of the support assembly 98 further comprises a second area 104, which, particularly with regard to its axial extent, is essentially formed within the stationary support assembly part 44 and is bounded radially outwards by the housing part 54 thereof and axially by the end cover 56, which carries the unbalance motor 58. On the second ring gear element 90, which is rigidly mounted on the housing part 54, a disc-like limiting element 106 with a lubricant passage opening 108, for example concentric to the roller rotation axis W, is carried at the axial end of the second ring gear element 90, which faces the first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98.
[0049] In the support arrangement 42, a first lubricant sump 110 is formed essentially in the first area 102 of the interior space 98 of the support arrangement, and a second lubricant sump 112 is formed essentially in the second area 104 of the interior space 98 of the support arrangement. With the soil cultivation roller 22 not rotating and the unbalanced masses 301, 302 not driven to rotate, the first lubricant sump 110 contains lubricant up to a first lubricant sump level N1. Due to gravity, the first lubricant sump level N1, which is generally located in the vertical direction H below the roller axis of rotation W, has a first distance D1 in the vertical direction H from the roller axis of rotation W.
[0050] The second lubricant sump 112 has a second lubricant sump level N 2, which is essentially defined by the lubricant passage opening 108, which also essentially provides an overflow connection 114, or by the area of which, in the vertical direction H downwards, has the greatest distance to the roller rotation axis W. This distance D 2 of the second lubricant sump level N 2 is, as the Fig. 4 This clearly shows that the distance D1 of the first lubricant sump level to the roller rotation axis W is smaller than the distance D1 of the first lubricant sump level to the roller rotation axis W. Since, apart from the lubricant passage opening 108 which essentially provides the overflow connection 114, there is no flow connection between the second lubricant sump 112 and the first lubricant sump 110, the second lubricant sump 112 is essentially always filled with lubricant up to the second lubricant sump level N2 or to the lowest region of the lubricant passage opening 108 in the vertical direction H.
[0051] During rotation of the soil cultivation roller 22, and especially when the unbalanced masses 301, 302 are driven to rotate, the unbalanced masses 301, 302, arranged at a radial distance from the roller's axis of rotation W, and the output gears 681, 682 connected to them for common rotation move successively into or through the area of the first lubricant sump 110. In doing so, not only the areas of the output gears 681, 682 and the unbalanced masses 301, 302 driven by them that move through the first lubricant sump 110 are also moved into the first lubricant sump 110.The lubricant is not simply moved through this area and thereby moistened with lubricant, but rather, due to the rotation, particularly of the output gears 681, 682, lubricant is flung from the first lubricant sump 110 essentially into the entire volume of the first region 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98, and especially upwards in the vertical direction H. The drive gears 66, 94, which are in mesh engagement with the output gears 681, 682, also contribute, due to their contact with the output gears 681, 682, to the lubricant being flung into the first region 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98 and especially upwards in the vertical direction H. The output gears 681, 682, and possibly the drive gears 66, 94, which move through the first lubricant sump 110, also contribute to the lubricant being flung into the first region 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98, and especially upwards in the vertical direction H.The drive gears 66, 94 also essentially form a lubricant conveying arrangement 116, through which lubricant from the first lubricant sump 110 is distributed in the first area 102 of the interior of the support arrangement 98 and conveyed upwards in the vertical direction H, as indicated by arrows in . Fig. 4 as indicated.
[0052] To distribute lubricant essentially throughout the entire volume of the first area 102 of the interior of the carrier assembly 98, conveying blades acting as conveying vanes can also be provided on the side of the component 50 of the rotating carrier assembly part 46 facing the first area of the interior of the carrier assembly 98. These blades are arranged in the circumferential direction, following one another approximately radially, and extend in a manner that is approximately radially oriented. Fig. 5 Visible conveying projections 115 are provided. As the soil cultivation roller 22 rotates, the conveying projections 115 move through the first lubricant sump 110, carrying lubricant upwards, which then drips down onto components located above the first lubricant sump 110. These conveying projections 115, which also contribute to enhanced heat dissipation, thus form part of the lubricant conveying arrangement 116.
[0053] On the stationary support assembly part 44, in particular the housing part 54 thereof, a lubricant collection unit, generally designated 118, is arranged in an area lying in the vertical direction H above the roller rotation axis W. This unit comprises a [details of which are described below with reference to the] Fig. 6 bis 10 A lubricant collection element 120, described in more detail, is attached to the housing part 50, for example by screws. It is essentially open upwards in the vertical direction H and can collect lubricant accumulating or dripping from the upper part of the first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98. The lubricant collected by the lubricant collection element 120 reaches the second area 104 of the interior of the support assembly 98, and thus the second lubricant sump 112, which is essentially formed therein, via a channel-like lubricant flow connection 122, which is formed particularly in the housing part 54 of the stationary support assembly part 44 and, for example, also in the second ring gear element 90.
[0054] When the first lubricant sump 110 is filled with lubricant up to the level of the first lubricant sump N1 during rotation, the level of the first lubricant sump 110 will drop below the level of the first lubricant sump N1 present when the machine is stationary. This occurs because lubricant is also thrown into the upper part of the first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98, and some of this lubricant flows into the second area 104 of the interior of the support assembly 98 via the lubricant flow connection 122. However, the level of the first lubricant sump 110 will not drop below the level of the first lubricant sump N1 present when the machine is stationary. This drop will not be so low as to prevent sufficient wetting of the components of the lubricant delivery arrangement 116 moving through the first lubricant sump 110. The fill level of the second lubricant sump 112, however, always corresponds essentially to the level of the second lubricant sump N2.
[0055] During operation, i.e., when the soil cultivation roller 22 and, in particular, the unbalance masses 301, 302 rotate, components of the unbalance gear unit 72, which is essentially located in the second area 104 of the interior of the support assembly 104, move through the second lubrication sump 112. This applies especially to the two ring gears 84, 88, the planet gear carrier 78, and the planet gears 80, 82 rotatably mounted thereon. As a result, all areas of the unbalance gear unit 72 successively come into contact with the lubricant present in the second lubrication sump 112. The sun gears 70, 76 are also lubricated by contact with the planet gears 80, 82.
[0056] The continuous conveying of lubricant by means of the lubricant conveying arrangement 116 from the first lubricant sump 110 to the second lubricant sump 112 ensures that the portion of the lubricant conveyed into the second area 104 of the interior of the support arrangement 98, which would cause the second lubricant level N 2 to be exceeded, leads to a permanent outflow of lubricant from the second lubricant sump 112 or the second area 104 of the interior of the support arrangement 98 via the overflow connection 114 or the lubricant passage opening 108 into the first lubricant sump 110. A lubricant circulation is thus established, in which the conveying or...The centrifugal action of the drive gears 66, 94, the output gears 681, 682, 683, and the conveying projections 115 ensures that all components located in the first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98, particularly those of the unbalanced gear system 96, are wetted with lubricant. This also applies in particular to the bearing units located in this area that support rotating system components. A portion of this lubricant distributed in the first area 102 of the interior of the support assembly 98 reaches the second area 104 of the interior of the support assembly 98 and the second lubricant sump 112 provided there via the lubricant collection element 120 and the lubricant flow connection 122, thus serving to adequately lubricate, in particular, the unbalanced gear unit 72.Due to the cascade-like arrangement of the two lubricant sumps 110, 112, it is ensured that lubricant can be reliably distributed to components positioned at significantly different levels in the vertical direction H or moving in these areas.
[0057] The in the Fig. 6 bis 10 The illustrated lubricant collection element 120, which is essentially trough-shaped, has, in the illustrated embodiment, two end walls 124, 126 and a bottom wall element 128 arranged between them. The bottom wall element 128 closes off the lubricant collection element 120, which is generally open upwards in the vertical direction H, downwards and also laterally. The end walls 124, 126 and the bottom wall element 128 can be held together, for example, by screw bolts passing through openings 129, 131 and securing the lubricant collection element 120 to the housing part 50.
[0058] The end wall 124, which is positioned adjacent to the stationary support assembly part 44, has a through-opening 130 through which lubricant collected in the lubricant collection element 120 can flow into the lubricant flow connection 122. It should be noted that, depending on the design, the end wall 124 can also be provided directly by the stationary support assembly part 44, and / or that the lubricant collection element 120 can also be manufactured in one piece, for example as a cast element.
[0059] In order to achieve an improved collection effect for the lubricant collection element 120 with a comparatively compact design, the end wall 126, which is located further away from the stationary support assembly part 44, can be curved away from the stationary support assembly part 44 in its area extending upwards in the vertical direction H over the bottom wall element 128, in order to further support the funnel-shaped design of the lubricant collection element 120.
[0060] Finally, it should be noted that in the carrier order 42, as is particularly evident in Fig. 4 It can be seen that in various areas, openings can be formed that are closed off by end elements 132, through which lubricant can be filled into or drained from the interior of the carrier arrangement 98.
