Description
Field of invention
[0001] The invention relates to an extraction device for extracting dust particles and to such an extraction device having a processing area. State of the art
[0002] Extraction systems, particularly for dental ceramic workstations, are known from the prior art and are used especially during grinding operations to extract airborne ceramic particles. When processing dental ceramics, it is also essential that the operator is protected, particularly from the inhalation of ceramic particles into their respiratory tract and eyes. Especially at high rotational speeds of the grinding or milling tools, highly accelerated ceramic particles are frequently released in an almost uncontrollable manner. These particles are often propelled towards the operator, who must therefore wear at least eye and mouth protection. However, this protective equipment provides insufficient protection and also makes working conditions more difficult or worse, particularly hindering unimpeded breathing and a clear field of vision. Additional protective shields can be used to provide further protection. The extraction device should be positioned so that it acts as a kind of shield for the operator. However, this further restricts the field of vision and darkens the work area, thereby reducing product quality. Additional lighting can be used to illuminate the work area, but the simultaneous need for extraction and shielding components makes good illumination difficult. Furthermore, shadows are cast by the operator and the aforementioned components, leading to uneven illumination of the work area and a deterioration of visibility.
[0003] Solutions known from the prior art therefore offer poor occupational safety and / or limited visibility, resulting in low product quality. Furthermore, solutions known from the prior art are prone to malfunctions.
[0004] For example, theDE 90 14 485 U1 An extraction hood for extracting grinding dust generated during the processing of workpieces in the fields of dental technology, jeweling, engraving and related professions, consisting of a hood section closed at the lid end and in the direction towards the user's body and equipped with a viewing window and a light source at the lid end, which is open on both sides and in the direction away from the user's body, and with a grate arranged at the bottom, which opens into an extraction chamber below, wherein the extraction hood is connected to a toggle lever system under spring tension, which maintains any desired position and wherein a drawer, which can be covered by a dust filter opposite the extraction nozzle, is arranged below the grate at the bottom of the extraction hood as a storage space for precious metal grinding dust.
[0005] The WO 2021 / 243455 A1 reveals a lighting system with a negative pressure inlet, comprising a lighting structure with at least one light-emitting element, which so The lighting structure is dimensioned to illuminate a specific area and includes a lighting support structure extending from one end of the structure, allowing for repositioning of the lighting structure relative to the other end. The lighting structure incorporates an air duct extending along its length, which can be connected to a vacuum system at the other end. Description of the invention
[0006] The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the problems known from the prior art, i.e. to provide a robust solution that enables good occupational safety and good visibility conditions as well as leading to high product quality.
[0007] The problem is solved by a suction device according to claim 1 and a processing area according to claim 13. Further features that further develop the invention are contained in the dependent claims.
[0008] An extraction device according to the invention for extracting dust particles comprises a main body with an extraction tunnel having an extraction opening and a discharge opening, wherein the dust particles occurring in front of the extraction opening during operation can be captured and discharged through the extraction tunnel from the discharge opening, a coupling device for attaching the main body to a processing area, a light arrangement for illuminating the processing area, wherein the light arrangement has a frame along which at least one light element is arranged, extending substantially over the entire frame, wherein the frame centrally encloses a viewing opening, wherein the light element is directed towards the processing area during operation, and wherein the light arrangement is attached to the top of the main body by means of a clamping mechanism, and an electrical circuit for activating and deactivating the light arrangement.wherein the frame has an opening at the top, so that the frame (210) is essentially U-shaped or horseshoe-shaped. The opening extends in particular over the entire width of the suction opening or the main body.
[0009] A single, elongated light element can be provided, adapted to the frame geometry, i.e., shaped in a curved form. Such a light element could, for example, be a light strip. Alternatively, several light elements can be provided, lying side by side and following the frame geometry, for example, several LEDs arranged side by side to form a strip.
[0010] The frame surrounding the viewing opening in the center is arranged around the viewing opening.
[0011] According to the invention, a light element directed towards the processing area means that it illuminates the processing area. If several light elements are provided, they are preferably all directed towards the processing area.
[0012] According to the invention, the light arrangement in the area of the opening is designed without light elements.
[0013] According to the invention, the processing area is understood to be, for example, a worktable or workplace in a dental laboratory, or the place where, for example, the dental ceramic is processed / milled.
[0014] Parts or components of the extraction system that are located away from the processing area during operation are described as being positioned at the top. Accordingly, parts positioned at the bottom are close to the processing area, those at the front are close to the operator during operation, and those at the rear are farther away from the operator during operation.
[0015] An extraction device according to the invention offers in particular the advantage that the light arrangement can be positioned directly and safely near the extraction opening, thereby improving the visibility conditions in the processing area compared to known solutions.
[0016] The opening is preferably at least 7 cm wide, more preferably at least 10 cm wide, and even more preferably at least 15 cm wide. This improves visibility.
[0017] The problem is further solved by a lighting arrangement for an extraction device, for illuminating a work area, wherein the lighting arrangement has a frame along which at least one light element is arranged, extending substantially over the entire frame, the frame enclosing a viewing opening in the center, the light element being directed towards the work area during operation, and an electrical circuit for activating and deactivating the lighting arrangement, wherein the frame has an opening at the top, which extends in particular over the entire width of an extraction opening of the extraction device or of a main body of the extraction device. It is also possible to attach such a lighting arrangement directly to a dental tool, e.g., a drill, thereby minimizing shadowing by the tool itself.
[0018] Preferably, the light arrangement that solves the problem underlying the invention can be attached to an extraction device or furthermore has a stand element by means of which the light arrangement can be positioned on a processing area.
[0019] The features described below, which define the extraction device according to the invention, can be transferred in the same way to the light arrangement that solves the problem underlying the invention.
[0020] Preferably, the extraction device also has a transparent protective cover positioned in front of the light element. This protects the light element from damage caused by ceramic dust, thereby increasing the robustness of the extraction device.
[0021] Preferably, the upper part of the viewing aperture is also frameless or transparent. This allows the field of vision to be enlarged or improved.
[0022] Preferably, the light element extends over a lower area of the frame. This improves visibility in the processing area, thereby increasing product quality.
[0023] Preferably, the extraction device further comprises a transparent protective plate which is attached to the extraction device in front of the viewing opening and, in particular, is detachably attached to the extraction device. The transparent protective plate is also free of light elements in its upper area. In this way, occupational safety can be increased without impairing visibility in the work area.
[0024] Preferably, the frame is attached to the transparent protective plate. This allows for a minimal installation space, ensuring that visibility in the processing area is not impaired despite additional protective elements.
[0025] Preferably, the frame is attached to the main body by means of the transparent protective plate, in particular via a clamping mechanism. Alternatively, the transparent protective plate can be attached to the main body by means of the frame. Another alternative is that the frame and the transparent plate can be attached to the main body independently, preferably with a common fastening device for both. With the three aforementioned preferred embodiments, it is possible to easily remove the frame with the transparent protective plate from the main body, thus enabling quick and safe cleaning.
[0026] Since the frame is essentially U-shaped or horseshoe-shaped, visibility in the processing area can be improved.
[0027] Preferably, the frame has two lateral legs, which are further preferably curved and particularly preferably curved inwards. In this way, the visible area of the machining area can be increased, thereby improving visibility in the machining area.
[0028] Preferably, the parts of the light element arranged along the frame are inclined towards each other. If several light elements are provided, they are preferably arranged inclined towards each other. Inclined towards each other means that the parts of the light element or the light elements are essentially directed towards a common point or a common central area of the processing area.
[0029] In this way, the lighting conditions in the processing area can be improved, which in turn can improve the visibility conditions in the processing area.
[0030] Preferably, all parts of the light element, or all light elements, have the same inclination. This increases the uniformity of illumination in the work area, thereby improving visibility in that area.
[0031] Preferably, the discharge opening is designed as a coupling device. This provides a space-saving and cost-effective solution.
[0032] Preferably, the extraction device further comprises an electrical connection for connecting the extraction device to the work area. An electrical connection is understood to be a connection through which the extraction device can be connected to an electrical power source, so that the lighting arrangement can be supplied with electrical current. This eliminates the need for a power supply or energy storage device in the immediate vicinity of the lighting arrangement, thereby reducing the required installation space and improving visibility.
[0033] Preferably, the electrical connection is located at the coupling device and is wireless. This eliminates the need for external power cables to supply the lighting system, which are particularly prone to malfunctions and short circuits in dusty working environments. This improves the safety and robustness of the extraction system.
[0034] Preferably, an electrical conductor runs from the electrical connection to the light element through the extraction tunnel. This also eliminates the need for external power cables to supply the lighting assembly with electricity.
[0035] Preferably, the electrical cable runs from the electrical connection to the lighting elements in a cable duct. This protects the electrical cable from rapidly moving ceramic particles in the extraction tunnel, thereby increasing the robustness of the extraction system.
[0036] Preferably, the extraction opening is shaped as an extraction funnel. This increases the extraction effect, thereby increasing the efficiency of the extraction device.
[0037] Preferably, the main body is curved forwards by approximately 180°. In this way, the main body itself can be used as an additional shielding component, thereby increasing the protective effect of the extraction device.
[0038] Preferably, the suction opening is covered with a grid. This prevents larger objects, such as tool parts or dental ceramic components, from unintentionally entering and clogging the suction tunnel. This improves the robustness of the suction device.
[0039] Preferably, the extraction device also includes a magnifying element in the area of the viewing opening, which is in particular frameless or has a transparent frame. This allows for further improvement of visibility in the processing area.
[0040] A machining area according to the invention comprising a worktable can be coupled to a suction device as described above. Brief description of the characters
