Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a meat grinder with cutting elements and a conveyor screw rotatably mounted in a housing, which is connected to a knife spindle. The various cutting elements include, for example, a perforated disc, knives, and / or pre-cutters.
[0002] In a known meat grinder, the knife pin is connected at one end to the conveyor screw in a rotationally fixed manner and, starting from the connection point with the conveyor screw, has an axially running support section on which the rotationally fixed knives are mounted. This ensures that the knives rotate at the same speed when the conveyor screw rotates. The perforated discs mounted adjacent to the knives are supported stationary on the meat grinder housing during such a rotation and have a central hub through which the knife pin passes. Known knife pins have different cross-sections, e.g. according to DE 26 49 305 C3 and US 4,018390 A a support section for the knife is square-shaped and according to DE 20 2020 102 505 U1 a support section in the shape of a dihedral with a chamfer on one edge for coding. Furthermore, it is known from DE 809 769 B to use a knife pin with a cross-section in the form of an asymmetrical polygon.
[0003] From documents DE 26 49 305 C3, DE 20 2020 102 505 U1, and US 4,018390 A, it is known to provide a detachable connection between the screw conveyor and the knife pivot. The detachable connection shown is a screw connection, which has the advantage that the cutting elements and knife pivot can be replaced. Here, the knife pivot has an external thread section that is screwed into a threaded bushing on the screw conveyor. However, practice has shown that such a screw connection has the disadvantage that it is difficult or impossible to loosen after a long period of use. The application of high torques when loosening the screw connection can lead to damage to the components.
[0004] Other connections between the screw conveyor and the knife pivot are shown in DE 100 26 825 C2, namely a keyway connection, or in DE 80 32 323 U1, namely a press connection. These connections also allow for easy installation of the knife pivot, but are no longer removable after prolonged use.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide a meat grinder with a drivable auger conveyor, in which the knife pin can be easily connected to and detached from the auger conveyor. During operation of the meat grinder, it should be ensured that the torque of the auger conveyor is transmitted to the knife pin and thus to the knives.
[0006] This object is achieved with a meat grinder having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.
[0007] This meat grinder, in a known manner, has a conveyor screw mounted in the meat grinder housing, which can be driven in particular by an electric motor. A knife pin is mounted on this conveyor screw in a rotationally fixed manner, one end of which is detachably held on the conveyor screw. The meat grinder further comprises at least one cutting set, wherein a cutting set can comprise various cutting elements. Such cutting elements are, for example, perforated discs and pre-cutters fixedly supported on the meat grinder housing. Such cutting elements further comprise knives mounted in a rotationally fixed manner on a support section of the knife pin, which interact with adjacent perforated discs to mince the meat. What is new is that the knife pin is inserted with one end, the insertion end, into a bearing bore of the conveyor screw. This is not a press fit.To ensure torque transmission from the conveyor screw to the knife pin, the insertion end of the knife pin is adapted to the shape of the bearing bore.
[0008] In one embodiment, the shape of the knife pin remains unchanged in the axial direction, i.e., in the conveying direction. The cross-section of the supporting section of the knife pin and the connecting section with the conveyor screw at the insertion end of the knife pin can be any polygonal cross-section, for example, a so-called dihedral with two parallel torque transmission surfaces.
[0009] The cross-sectional shape of the supporting section and the connecting section at the insertion end of the knife pin can be the same or different.
[0010] The shank end of the knife spindle has a larger circumference than the support section on which the knives rest. The cross-sectional shape of the shank end and the support section can be the same or different. Regarding the cross-section of the shank end and the support section, it is important to ensure rotational drive.
[0011] In one embodiment of the meat grinder, the cross-sectional shape of the insertion end and the support section of the knife pin are identical. However, the insertion end has a larger circumference, projects beyond the support section in the radial direction, preferably starting from the central axis, the support section is evenly projected beyond the insertion end circumferentially. Due to the larger cross-section of the insertion end, a stop surface is formed in the transition area between the insertion end and the support section. This stop surface serves as a stop for a fastening ring. This fastening ring has a correspondingly large opening so that it can be
[0012] The lower end of the support section can be pushed up to the stop surface. This opening in the mounting ring is large enough that rotation of the knife pivot is not hindered. On the other hand, the opening is so small that the mounting ring does not fit over the insertion end of the knife pivot.
[0013] In a further embodiment, the support section of the knife pin and the insertion end of the knife pin have a different cross-sectional shape or an identical cross-sectional shape, but in a radially offset arrangement, so that the insertion end projects beyond the support section, if not circumferentially, then at least at several circumferential points or sections, and in the transition area between the insertion end and the support section, one or more stop surfaces for the separate fastening ring are formed on the circumferential side.
[0014] When assembling the knife pivot, the fastening ring is inserted with its insertion end into the bearing bore of the screw conveyor. The fastening ring, which is pushed onto the knife pivot and rests against the stop surface of the knife pivot, is then connected to the screw conveyor. This connection is a detachable connection, with the fastening ring and the screw conveyor having matching connecting elements, namely suitable positive and / or non-positive connections, e.g., a screw connection or a tongue and groove connection, preferably a screw connection.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment, the fastening ring has an external thread on its circumferential surface, and the conveyor screw has a matching internal thread. For this purpose, a cylindrical bushing with a corresponding internal thread is provided at the output end in front of the bearing bore in the conveyor screw. In this embodiment, the fastening ring is also pushed over the support section up to the stop surface, and the insertion end of the knife pin is inserted into the bearing bore. Since the opening of the fastening ring is smaller than the diameter of the insertion end, the knife pin is held axially in position by the screw connection between the fastening ring and the conveyor screw. The knife pin is easily mounted on the conveyor screw. The torque transmission between the conveyor screw and the knife pin is ensured by the coordinated cross-sections of the insertion end and the bearing bore.
[0016] Advantageously, such a knife pin is easier to remove from the screw conveyor than conventional knife pins. When disassembling the knife pin, damage to the knife pin is avoided, as the forces required to loosen the screw connection act exclusively on the fastening ring. To facilitate loosening the screw connection, an advantageous embodiment provides handling means on the fastening ring, for example, in the form of grooves or notches. These handling means provide access for suitable tools when loosening the screw connection.
[0017] In another embodiment, the mounting ring has a circumferential rib on its peripheral surface, which interacts with an annular groove in the cylindrical bushing at the output end in front of the bearing bore in the screw conveyor. Other force- and / or form-fitting connections for connecting the mounting ring can also be used, such as hooks. Bayonet locks, such as those used to attach a lens to a camera, can also be used, namely by providing lugs on the mounting ring and corresponding recesses in the cylindrical bushing.
[0018] In addition, a seal can be provided at the connection between the knife pin and the conveyor screw using sealing rings to prevent the penetration of shredded material into the area of the screw connection and the bearing bore.
[0019] The new meat grinder features a conventionally driven auger and a knife pivot mounted on the auger for rotational stability. This pivot can be easily connected to the auger using a fastening ring. This connection is also easily removable, preventing damage to the knife pivot when removing the connection.
[0020] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.
[0021] For better clarity, the Fig. 1 only the parts of the meat grinder to which the new invention relates. Shown in perspective view are the conveyor screw 10, the knife pin 20, and the fastening ring 30 used to connect the knife pin 20 to the conveyor screw 10. In addition, two sealing rings 40, 41 are provided in this embodiment. Fig. 1the conveying direction of the material to be ground in the meat grinder is shown.
[0022] The knife pin 20 has, as viewed in the conveying direction FR, a front insertion end 21, a transition area 26, and a support section 23 on which knives can be arranged in a rotationally fixed manner. The conveyor screw 10 has a bearing bore 11 for the insertion end 21 of the knife pin 20. The cross-section of this bearing bore 11 is adapted to the cross-section of the insertion end 21, i.e., it has two straight side surfaces that are arranged parallel to one another both at the insertion end 21 of the knife pin 20 and in the bearing bore 11 of the conveyor screw 10. These straight side surfaces serve to transmit torque and are each connected to one another via an outwardly curved side surface. In this example, the support section 23 also has the shape of a dihedral. The coordinated cross-sections of the insertion end 21 and the bearing bushing 11, as well as the support section 23 and the recess in the blade, ensure that when the conveyor screw 10 rotates, the blade pin 20 and the blade also rotate. The blade is not shown here. During such a rotation, the blade pin 20 is held axially in position by the fastening ring 30.
[0023] Before the knife pin 20 is assembled, the fastening ring 30 is pushed onto the knife pin 20 from the rear end of the knife pin 20 in the conveying direction FR. The fastening ring 30 is pushed over the support section 23 of the knife pin 20 as far as the transition area 26, where its front side comes to rest against a stop surface 22, since the opening 31 of the fastening ring 30 is smaller than the cross section of the insertion end 21 of the knife pin 20. The transition area 26 between the insertion end 21 and the support section 23 of the knife pin 20 has a round cross section in this example. The diameter of the transition area 26 is adapted to the diameter of the opening 31 of the fastening ring 30 so that rotation of the knife pin 20 is not impeded. In this example, the stop surface 22 is aligned in the radial direction obliquely to the conveying direction.Compatible with this, the fastening ring has an inner cone at its end of the opening 31 facing the conveyor screw. Other shapes of the stop surface 22 are also possible; advantageously, the opening 31 of the fastening ring 30 is adapted thereto.
[0024] For assembly, the knife pin 20 is inserted with its insertion end 21 into the bearing bore 11 and the fastening ring 30 bearing on the transition area 26 is connected to the conveyor screw 10. For this purpose, the conveyor screw 10 has a cylindrical bushing with an internal thread 13 in front of the bearing bore 11. This internal thread 13 interacts with an external thread 32 on the circumferential surface of the fastening ring 30. The screw connection between the fastening ring 30 and the conveyor screw 10 simultaneously establishes a connection between the knife pin 20 and the conveyor screw 10. When the knife pin 20 is installed, it carries the knives of the meat grinder in the support section 23 and ensures, via a rotationally fixed connection with these knives, that these move with the conveyor screw 10 when it rotates.
[0025] In this embodiment, the fastening ring 30 has an edge 35 on the side facing away from the conveyor screw 10, ie on its rear side.
[0026] This edge 35 projects circumferentially beyond this rear side in the radial direction. When the knife pin 20 is mounted, the fastening ring 30 is screwed into the cylindrical bushing of the screw conveyor 10 and closes the cylindrical bushing of the screw conveyor 10 with its edge 35. In addition, the interior of the screw conveyor can be sealed by sealing rings 40, 41. In this case, a sealing ring 41, which is at the front in the conveying direction FR, is inserted into the cylindrical bushing of the screw conveyor 10 before assembly and rests there on a contact surface 12. This contact surface 12 represents the exit of the bearing bore 11. The second sealing ring 40, which is at the rear in the conveying direction FR, is pushed onto the fastening ring 30 before assembly and, in this case, is held in an annular groove between the edge 35 and the external thread 32. The interior of the conveyor screw 10 is sealed off from the mincing chamber of the meat grinder and thus from the ingress of minced material.
[0027] After inserting the knife pin 20 and screwing the fastening ring 30 into the cylindrical bushing of the screw conveyor 10, the knife pin 20 is held axially firmly on the screw conveyor 10 and is connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner. This screw connection can be loosened without damaging the knife pin 20, since no torque is exerted on the knife pin 20 when loosening the fastening ring 30. In this case, notches 34 are provided on the edge 35 of the fastening ring 30 for establishing the screw connection, but especially for loosening the screw connection. A suitable auxiliary tool can engage these notches 34 to apply a rotation to loosen the screw connection. Other handling means are also possible.
[0028] The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. Other cross-sections of the connecting section at the insertion end 21 or of the support section 23 of the knife pin 20 are conceivable. Additionally, a support section 23 can have a rib or inclined surface running in the conveying direction as a code for the knife pin 20, which interacts with a matching code on the knife side. If the knife has a transponder, a corresponding receiver can be provided on the knife pin 20, or a connection to such a receiver can be established in the meat grinder via an axial bore 25.
[0029] In this embodiment, the detachable connection between the fastening ring 30 and the conveyor screw 10 is a screw connection. Other known non-positive and / or positive connections are provided in other embodiments of the invention. List of reference symbols
