AI Technical Summary
Existing packaging made from waste paper fiber effusion lacks sufficient stability to securely hold objects, especially when subjected to bumps or drops, due to uncontrolled or subdued floor areas.
Incorporating at least one spring element into the base plate of the packaging enhances stability by allowing the packaged object to absorb shocks and bumps, particularly when dropped.
The integration of spring elements improves the packaging's stability, effectively protecting the object from damage caused by impacts by allowing it to absorb and distribute the force of bumps and drops.

Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a packaging for an object.
[0002] Specifically, packaging made of recycled fiberglass molded paper for packaging objects is generally known in the prior art. These known packagings typically comprise a lower part formed from a base plate, from the periphery of which at least one lateral support element extends, at least partially circumferential, to span and define a cavity in the lower part for receiving the object.
[0003] In known packaging of this type, the items to be packaged lie in the bottom area of the lower part, either unsteamed or steamed. DE 199 21 776 A1 discloses a packaging with a steamed bottom area.
[0004] US 2004 / 0048024 A1 and US 2018 / 0079549 A1 each disclose damping cushions for placement between the bottom of a package and the article to be packaged.
[0005] The invention is based on the object of developing a known packaging made of waste paper fiber cast material with at least one spring element in the base plate for a damped storage of the object in such a way that the stability of the packaging is improved.
[0006] This problem is solved by the subject matter of patent claim 1.
[0007] The at least one spring element offers the advantage that the packaged object is cushioned, in particular against impacts on the underside of the packaging, such as those that occur when the packaging is dropped.
[0008] Advantageous embodiments of the packaging and in particular of the spring element are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0009] Six figures are attached to the description, where Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the lower part of the packaging; Figure 2 shows a plan view of the lower part according to the invention; Figure 3 shows the lower part according to Figure 1 with modified design of the bottom areas of the tooth gaps; Figure 4 the lower part according to Figure 1 with the object to be packaged inserted; Figure 5 the assembled packaging, in which an upper part is placed on the lower part; Figure 6 the packaging with an outer carton; Figure 7 another embodiment of the lower part and the upper part, each with damping elements in the base plate and notches in the spring elements; Figure 8 the lower part according to Figure 7 and an identical upper part 120 symbolically installed in reverse in an outer carton; Figure 9 shows a further embodiment of the lower part and the upper part, this time with a circumferential lateral support element; Figure 10 shows the lower part according to Figure 9together with an inverted identical upper part in a juxtaposition as would be realized in an outer carton; and Figure 11 shows a further embodiment of the lower part and the upper part with a circumferential support element, wherein a plurality of discrete tooth-shaped support elements are again superimposed on the circumferential support element; shows.
[0010] The invention is described in detail below in the form of exemplary embodiments with reference to the figures. In all figures, identical technical elements are designated by identical reference numerals.
[0011] Figure 1 shows in perspective view a lower part 110 of a packaging 100 for an article 200; see Figure 4 .
[0012] The lower part according to Figure 1is formed from a base plate 112, on the periphery of which at least one lateral support element, which extends at least partially around the periphery, projects upwards to clamp and delimit a cavity of the lower part 110 for receiving the object 200; see Figure 4 The entire lower part is preferably made in one piece from recycled paper fiberglass. At least one spring element 116 is formed in the base plate 112 for dampened support of the object 200, which is placed on the spring elements; see Figure 4 . In Figure 1Four spring elements 116 are shown as an example. The spring elements 116 are each formed in the form of a hollow protrusion of the fiber-cast material of the base plate, which protrudes or is pressed into the cavity of the lower part at a slot 113 in the base plate. In the round shape of the base plate 112 chosen here, the protrusions are conical and arranged in a circle such that their tips each point towards the common center point M of the circle formed by the lower part. A similar design and arrangement of the spring elements is also recommended for a polygonal design of the base plate. However, the shape of the base plate is by no means limited to polygons or circles; in principle, the base plate can be of any shape; in particular, it can be rectangular.
[0013] In the Figure 1According to a first embodiment, a plurality of lateral support elements 114 can be seen. The lateral support elements 114 are arranged alternately with tooth gaps 115 symmetrically, preferably equidistantly distributed on the periphery of the base plate. The bottom regions 117 of the tooth gaps 115 and preferably also the tips of the tooth-shaped lateral support elements 114 are each trough-shaped. Web elements 119 can be provided in the trough region 117 of the tooth gaps, as shown in Figure 1 shown.
[0014] Alternatively to the Figure 1 In addition to the plurality of lateral support elements shown, according to a second embodiment, only a single, one-piece support element can be provided, which runs around the periphery of the base plate.
[0015] In both embodiments, the support elements are designed as hollow bodies that open toward the underside of the base plate. These hollow bodies have—in the case of a radial section—a trapezoidal cross-section that widens toward the base plate, for example. The hollow body design offers the advantage that, compared to a solid construction, less material is used and the weight of the lower part is significantly reduced.
[0016] Figure 2 shows the lower part 110 according to Figure 1 in a top view.
[0017] Figure 3 shows the lower part according to the Figures 1 and 2 in perspective view, but without the web elements 119 in the trough area 117 of the tooth gaps 115.
[0018] Figure 4 shows the lower part according to the Figures 1 and 2 again in perspective view, but with the object to be packaged inserted 200. Figure 4shows that the lateral support elements 114 are preferably arranged on the periphery of the base plate, precisely adapted to the circumferential contour of the object to be packaged. Their arrangement therefore does not have to be circular; rather, their distribution and arrangement are selected according to the circumferential contour of the object to be packaged. The same applies to the shape to be selected for the base plate 112. Adapting the support elements to the circumferential contour of the object to be packaged can also be achieved by designing individual lateral support elements not according to standard, but, for example, with a greater or smaller depth T than the adjacent support elements. In this way, stable storage of the non-circular object 200 to be packaged can still be ensured—for example, while maintaining the outer circular structure of the base plate 112. Figure 4The support element 114-1 is designed with a greater depth than the adjacent support elements 114 in order to precisely support a straight peripheral section of the object 200 to be packaged. With this design of the support element 114-1 with a greater depth T, the outer circular contour of the base plate 112 can advantageously still be retained.
[0019] The packaging also includes an upper part 120, which is preferably, but not necessarily, identical to the lower part 110. In this respect, the Figures 1 to 3 with their associated descriptions analogously also for the upper part 120. Differences between the upper part and the lower part can, for example, consist in the number of lateral support elements 114 or the number of spring elements 116 provided.
[0020] Figure 5shows the packaging 100 of the article 200, wherein the upper part 120, which is preferably identical to the lower part 110 with lateral support elements 114, is placed on the article 200 and on the lower part 110. The article 200 is in Figure 5concealed by the upper part 120. In the first exemplary embodiment, the attachment takes place with a plurality of lateral support elements 114 in such a way that the lateral support elements 114 of the upper part point downwards and engage in tooth gaps 115 between two adjacent support elements 114 of the lower part 110. Preferably, the trough-shaped tips of the tooth-shaped support elements 114 engage in the likewise trough-shaped bottom regions 117 of the tooth gaps 115 of the lower part 110. This engagement makes it possible to achieve particular stability of the packaging 100, consisting of the lower part 110 with the upper part 120 placed thereon in a rotationally offset manner. However, in order to prevent jamming of the lower part 110 and the attached upper part 120 and to facilitate their assembly, the said web elements 119 can be provided in the trough-shaped bottom area 117 of the tooth gaps 115.The web elements 119 serve to limit the penetration depth of the upper part into the trough-shaped base areas of the lower part, thus enabling the lower and upper parts to be assembled without jamming. This facilitates or simplifies assembly in batch mode. If a circumferential support element is provided for the lower part and / or the upper part according to the second embodiment, the support elements of the upper part rest on the support elements of the lower part during assembly.
[0021] Figure 6 finally shows the completely packaged object 200. The lower part 110 with the spring elements 116 and the object 200 to be packaged resting thereon can be seen. The upper part is, as in Figure 5 shown, also in Figure 6placed on the lower part, in particular on its web elements 119, and the object 200 to be packaged. The upper part is supported on the object 200 to be packaged via its spring elements 116. The lower part is packed in an outer carton 130 together with the object 200 to be packaged arranged in its hollow space and the top part 120 placed thereon. The internal height h of the outer carton 130 is advantageously slightly smaller than the height of the lower part 110 with the object 200 stored therein and the upside-down top part 120 together in the unloaded state, ie in particular when the outer carton 130 is open. Due to the lower height, a small force F is exerted on the top part 120, the lower part 110 and / or the object 200 to be packaged when the outer carton 130 is closed. This force F advantageously causes a desired pretension of the spring elements 116, whereby the object 200 to be packaged is stored in a stabilized manner within the lower carton 110 and the upper carton 120.
[0022] Preferably, all individual elements of the packaging, ie the lower part 110, the upper part 120 and optionally also the outer carton 130, are each made in one piece from recycled fiberglass material.
[0023] The overall height of the lower part 110 with the object 200 stored therein and the upper part 120 placed upside down on the web elements 119 in the unloaded state can be sensibly designed by the height of the web elements. Preferably, the height of the web elements is selected such that the overall height is either equal to the inner height h of the outer carton if no prestress F is desired, or slightly greater than the inner height h of the outer carton if prestress F is desired.
[0024] Alternatively, or in addition to selecting the height of the web elements, the overall height and thus also the strength of the prestress F—given the same internal height of the outer carton—can also be adjusted by the strength of the protrusion of the spring elements 116 into the interior of the cavity. A smaller protrusion height means a lower overall height and a lower prestress F, and vice versa.
[0025] Figure 7 shows a further possibility for the design of the lower part 110 and, analogously, also an identically designed upper part 120. The Figure 7 The lower part 110 shown differs from that shown in Figure 3The lower part shown is distinguished by the fact that its base plate 112 is not round, but, for example, rectangular. Furthermore, damping elements 111 are incorporated into the base plate 112, particularly adjacent to the spring elements 116. The damping elements 111 here consist, for example, of wave-shaped waste paper fiber casting material. The damping elements 111 are suitable for absorbing loads or shocks transverse to the wave fronts; such shock loads can occur in particular when the spring elements 116 expand perpendicular to the wave fronts due to a strong load from the object to be packaged resting on them.
[0026] In Figure 7 are just like in Figure 3Notches 118 can be seen, which are preferably arranged at the highest points of the spring elements 116, which are formed in the form of hollow protrusions. Depending on the size or length of the notches 118, the spring stiffness of the individual spring elements 116 can be individually adjusted.
[0027] Figure 8 shows the lower part 110 according to Figure 7 , placed in an outer carton 130. Furthermore, an upper part 120 identical to the lower part 110 can be seen in the outer carton 130, which, however, is arranged inverted, that is to say with support elements 114 pointing downwards in the outer carton 130. The distance between the lower part 110 and the upper part 120 in the outer carton 130 is due to a Figure 8 not shown, to be packaged, which would be placed in the cavity formed by the lower part 110 and onto which the upper part 120 would be placed, as shown, within the outer carton 130.
[0028] Figure 9shows that Figure 7 known lower part, but this time with a modified lateral support element 114. The lateral support element 114 is in Figure 9 shown integrally and circumferentially on the periphery of the base plate 112.
[0029] Figure 10 shows the lower part according to Figure 9 in comparison to an identical upper part 120, which would possibly be turned inside out and placed on an object to be packaged. As a rule, the object to be packaged should be so flat that the circumferential lateral support elements 114 of the lower part 110 and the upper part 120 rest on each other. For taller objects to be packaged, the circumferential lateral support elements 114 would also have to be made taller.
[0030] Finally, Figure 11Another exemplary embodiment for the design of the periphery of the lower part 110 and / or the upper part 120. First, a one-piece, circumferential lateral support element 114 can be seen, which, viewed on its own, already defines a cavity for the lower part 110. However, a plurality of lateral tooth-shaped support elements, alternating with tooth gaps, are placed on top of this circumferential support edge. The circumferential edge of the upper part 120 should be designed to complement the design accordingly, so that when the lower and upper parts are assembled, the tooth-shaped support elements of the upper part engage in the tooth gaps of the lower part.
[0031] All technical features described in the application and the claims can, in principle, be combined with one another in any way, provided there are no technical obstacles to the contrary. The invention is not limited to the combination of technical elements as shown in the figures. List of reference symbols
