Abstract

A control method and apparatus for an air conditioner, and a computer readable storage medium. The control method for the air conditioner comprises: when a current time is within a time period when a user is not at home, detecting a current running state of the air conditioner, said time period being determined according to historical usage data of the air conditioner, and the historical usage data comprising at least one of historical usage time periods of the air conditioner and time periods of historical connection between the air conditioner and a terminal application; and when the air conditioner is in a power-on state, determining that the user forgets to turn off the air conditioner, and outputting prompt information or reducing energy consumption of the air conditioner.
