Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a protective arrangement for an opening which is surrounded by a frame and which can be closed by means of a protective device comprising a frame. The invention also relates to a kit for such a protective arrangement.
[0002] The protective device preferably comprises, in addition to the frame, a textile fabric stretched across the frame. The textile fabric can be attached to the frame in a suitable and known manner. The textile fabric can be designed as insect screen fabric, sun protection fabric, privacy screen fabric, pollen screen fabric, and / or similar woven / knitted fabric.
[0003] The protective device can therefore be an insect screen, sunshade, privacy screen, and / or pollen screen. The frame of such a device, which is typically rectangular, often has four frame members, with adjacent frame members arranged at right angles to each other. Each frame member can consist of at least one profile strip made of metal or plastic, with profile strips of adjacent frame members connected by a corner connector. Alternatively, the frame can be bent from a single piece (for example, a rod).
[0004] The frame that limits the opening could, for example, be a door frame to which a hinged door leaf is attached in addition to the protective device. In this case, the opening is the door opening. The frame surrounding the opening could also be a window frame to which a hinged window sash is attached in addition to the protective device. In this case, the opening is the window opening. However, the opening could also be any other type of opening in a building. Furthermore, the opening could be located in a vehicle or caravan. For example, the opening could be the door opening of a caravan, such as a motorhome or camper van.
[0005] In the case of a protective device designed as an insect screen door, it is known to attach the frame of the protective device to a door frame by means of hinges, so that the protective device can pivot between a closed position that closes the door opening and an open position that releases the door opening. The hinges thus form a holding device with which the protective device is held to the frame. To hold the insect screen door in its closed position, it is also known to integrate a magnet into the frame on a side opposite the hinges, which interacts with a magnetizable element on the door frame in the closed position. Such an insect screen door is known, for example, from DE 10 2009 012 655 A1.To install the insect screen door, it is therefore necessary to connect the frame of the insect screen door to the door frame using the hinges. This requires manually attaching the hinge to both the frame and the sash, which is somewhat time-consuming. DE 10 2011 103 554 A1 discloses a kit for a protective arrangement. DE 31 50 037 discloses a kit with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
[0006] The object of the present invention is therefore to eliminate at least some of the disadvantages described with reference to the prior art and in particular to provide a kit for a protective arrangement with which the effort required for the installation of an (insect) protective arrangement can be reduced.
[0007] A solution to the problem is provided by the kit with the features of the independent claim. Further solutions and advantageous embodiments of the kit are specified in the preceding and following description as well as in the dependent claims, wherein individual features of the embodiments can be combined with one another in a technically meaningful manner. Embodiments and advantages described with reference to the protective arrangement are applicable to the kit and the protective device, and vice versa.
[0008] The problem is solved in particular by a kit for a protective arrangement for an opening surrounded (i.e., bounded or bordered) by a frame, which comprises a protective device including a frame for closing the opening and a holding device with which the protective device is held on the frame. It is now particularly proposed that the holding device comprises at least one magnet, preferably at least two magnets, and that the frame of the protective device is sectionally magnetizable / magnetized so that the protective device can be held on the frame by means of the at least one magnet.
[0009] In other words, the basic idea of the invention is that the protective device is attached to the frame surrounding the opening solely by means of at least one magnet, and that the protective device is held to the frame solely by virtue of this at least one magnet. The magnet(s) and the protective device are thus arranged and designed such that the protective device is held to the frame solely by the magnets. Therefore, no further mechanical elements (such as hinges or mounting brackets) are required to connect the protective device to the frame. The protective device is thus held to the frame solely by the magnetic forces between the at least one magnet and the magnetizable / magnetized element of the frame. The at least one magnet itself can be easily attached to the frame by means of adhesive or screws.Installation is particularly simple if the enclosure itself is made of a magnetized or magnetizable material. In this case, the at least one magnet is simply attached to the enclosure by magnetic force, and its position can be easily changed. Using the at least one magnet greatly simplifies the installation of the protective device on the enclosure.
[0010] According to the invention, at least one (preferably exactly two or three, and particularly preferably all) of the at least one magnet is arranged and / or configured as a hinge magnet such that the protective device can be pivoted about an axis defined by the at least one hinge magnet. In other words, the at least one, preferably the at least two, particularly preferably three, four, or all magnets are arranged such that a (virtual) axis is defined about which the protective device can be pivoted between a closed position that closes the opening and an open position that releases the opening, while the protective device remains held on the frame by means of the at least one hinge magnet. The (virtual) axis can be defined, for example, by the orientation of the magnetic field of a magnet or the magnetic fields of several magnets, wherein, in the case of at least two magnets, the magnets are arranged one behind the other on a straight line, with in particular one longitudinal direction of the at least one magnet being aligned parallel to the (virtual) straight line. Alternatively or additionally, the (virtual) axis can be defined by a surface design of the magnets and / or the frame.
[0011] The magnets serve two purposes: firstly, to secure the protective device to the frame, and secondly, to define a (virtual) axis around which the protective device can pivot. This eliminates the need for hinges with two straps each, one of which must be attached to the frame, to allow the protective device to rotate. The installation of a protective device that opens by moving around the hinge axis is thus drastically simplified. Since at least one magnet can be smaller than a hinge strap, the use of hinge magnets enables the pivoting mounting of a protective device even in otherwise difficult-to-access locations, such as in a caravan door frame or in the recess of a window / door frame. In addition, the at least one magnet can be easily attached to a frame in hard-to-reach places by means of adhesive or magnetic force.
[0012] To hold the rotatably mounted protective assembly in its closed position, which closes the opening, a locking magnet can be provided, positioned at a distance from the axis defined by the at least one hinge magnet. This locking magnet is preferably weaker than the hinge magnet. Such a locking magnet is also easy to attach to a frame of the opening and thus easy to install. Alternatively to the locking magnet, a simple mechanical fixing device, such as a snap-fit connection with a hook-shaped spring element for engaging an undercut, can be provided. This device provides a fixing force to secure the protective assembly in the closed position, and the force applied by the fixing device is less than the force applied by the hinge magnets to hold the protective assembly.
[0013] The invention therefore does not preclude the possibility of an additional fixing element being provided, which mechanically holds, for example, a protective arrangement designed as an insect screen door in its closed position, as long as the insect screen door is held in place on the frame solely by virtue of the at least one magnet, without the additional (fixing) element. Preferably, however, no further element is provided that mechanically fixes the protective arrangement to the frame.
[0014] If the at least one hinge magnet is arranged in or on the frame, the at least one hinge magnet is in particular attached to one side of a preferably rectangular frame.
[0015] If the magnets are arranged on opposite sides of a rectangular opening, the protective device can be attached to the frame in a position that closes the opening, and the protective device as a whole can also be removed from the magnets without the magnets providing a hinge function.
[0016] To mechanically support the pivoting / rotating movement of the protective assembly's frame and / or to define the axis of rotation, the frame (i.e., in particular components of the frame struts, such as the magnetizable, curved metallic rod) and / or the at least one hinge magnet may have a curved surface, at least in sections, with the curvature of the surface guiding the rotation about the axis defined by the at least one hinge magnet. For example, in a section plane orthogonal to the axis, the surface of the frame adjacent to the magnet, which preferably has a flat surface, exhibits a convex shape resembling a circular arc, parabola, or hyperbola.Alternatively or additionally, the at least one hinge magnet can have a concave (circular arc, parabolic, or hyperbolic) shaped surface (in a section plane orthogonal to the axis) in which a frame strut of the protective arrangement is arranged. In a further embodiment, both the surface of the at least one hinge magnet and the surface of the frame can be curved. In a preferred embodiment, a metallic rod forming the frame in one piece has an elliptical or circular cross-section.
[0017] In principle, the at least one magnet can be integrated into the frame. Alternatively, the at least one magnet can be provided as a separate component, which can be attached to the frame, for example, by gluing. If the frame is made of a magnetizable material or has a magnetizable element, the at least one magnet can also be attached to the frame solely by magnetic force. The at least one magnet is, in particular, a neodymium magnet. Preferably, the at least one magnet has a cuboid shape with an edge length of no more than 20 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm, and more preferably, no more than 15 mm x 5 mm x 5 mm. This allows relatively small magnets to be attached even in hard-to-reach places.
[0018] According to the invention, the frame or the frame struts forming the frame are made of a magnetizable / magnetized material. The frame struts that give the frame its stability, or the preferably one-piece frame, are made, for example, of magnetizable steel or a magnetizable composite material. It can be provided that the fabric structure, particularly a textile one, is fixed to the frame struts / to the frame by means of separate clamping elements not made of a magnetizable material.
[0019] In a particularly preferred embodiment, the frame is formed from a single, curved metal rod to which the textile surface is attached, preferably by bonding or welding, for example. The curved metal rod may have a coating for this purpose. The rod is preferably made of steel. The frame is preferably rectangular, with the metal rod bent at approximately 90° at the corners to the desired radius. Preferably, the frame is formed in a flat plane. However, when forming the frame with a curved metal rod, it is also possible for the frame to be bent into a third dimension, so that the textile surface stretched by the frame has a curvature. The metal rod preferably has a cross-sectional area of no more than 3 cm², and more preferably no more than 1 cm².Preferably, the rod has a width (parallel to the plane spanned by the surface structure) of no more than 8 mm, particularly preferably no more than 5 mm, and a height (orthogonal to the plane spanned by the surface structure) of more than 8 mm but no more than 12 mm. Preferably, the ratio of width to height is greater than 1.5.
[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the magnetizable element is designed as a rod-shaped element, for example, a steel rod. The rod-shaped element preferably has a cross-sectional area of at least 1 cm². It is particularly preferred if the outer surface of the profile strip has a curvature to support the pivoting movement about the axis defined by the at least one hinge magnet.
[0021] In order to arrange the frame together with the at least one magnet in a recess bounded by a window frame and the window sash (or by a door frame and the door sash), the frame and one of the magnets (in a plane orthogonal to the plane spanned by the surface structure and the longitudinal direction of the frame) have a combined width (parallel to the plane spanned by the surface structure) of no more than 12 mm (particularly preferably no more than 10 mm), but particularly preferably more than 8 mm, and a height (orthogonal to the plane spanned by the surface structure) of more than 8 mm but no more than 14 mm, preferably no more than 12 mm.
[0022] The invention and its technical context are explained below using the figures as examples. They show schematic representations. Figure 1: a protective arrangement with a protective device in a closed position that closes an opening, Figure 2: the protective arrangement during an opening process, Figure 3: the protective arrangement in an open position, Figure 4: a sectional view through an area of a first embodiment of a protective arrangement and Figure 5: a sectional view through an area of a further, non-inventive embodiment of a protective arrangement.
[0023] In the Figures 1 to 3 A protective arrangement is shown. The protective arrangement comprises a frame 2 that surrounds / borderes an opening 1. The frame 2 can, for example, be a window or door frame.
[0024] The protective arrangement further comprises a protective device 3 with a frame 3.1 that stretches a textile surface 3.2. The textile surface 3.2 can be designed to protect against the penetration of insects, sunlight and / or pollen.
[0025] The protective arrangement further comprises a holding device 4, which has three hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 as well as a closing magnet 5, which are attached to the frame 2.
[0026] The hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 are arranged vertically in a straight line along one long side of the frame 2. The closing magnet 5, on the other hand, is located on the opposite side of the opening 1 and is weaker than any of the hinge magnets 4.1 to 4.3. The magnets 4.1 to 4.3 and 5 can be attached to the frame 2, for example, by means of adhesive tape. If the frame 2 is made of a magnetizable material, the magnets 4.1 to 4.3 and 5 can be held to the frame 2 solely by magnetic forces. The holding device 4 can thus be attached to the frame 2 very easily.
[0027] The frame 3.1 of the protective device 3 comprises at least one magnetizable element or consists of a magnetizable material. In the Figure 1 In the illustrated closed position, the frame 3.1, which is magnetized section by section by the hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 as well as the closing magnet 5, is held solely by magnetic forces. Thus, the protective device 3 can also be very easily attached to the holding device 4 mounted on the frame 2.
[0028] As in Figure 2 As shown, the frame 3.1 can be pivoted / rotated about an axis defined by the hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3, so that the protective device 3 can be removed from its position in Figure 1 The closed position shown can be opened, with the open position in Figure 3 As shown. In all positions, the protective device 3 is held on the frame 2 by the hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.
[0029] According to a first embodiment, the frame 3.1 is formed by a magnetizable steel rod which is inserted into the Figures 1 to 3 The shape shown is curved. A cross-sectional view through the frame in the area of the hinge magnets is shown in Figure 4 The frame 3.1, which is magnetized at least partially by the hinge magnet 4.2, is attracted to the hinge magnet 4.2. The textile surface structure 3.2 is connected to the frame 3.1 by gluing or welding. The Figure 4 The noticeable curvature of the surface of frame 3.1 supports the rotational movement of frame 3.1 during an opening or closing process.
[0030] According to the in Figure 5In the second embodiment shown, which does not fall under the scope of claim 1, the frame 3.1 comprises a plastic profile strip 3.3, inside which a magnetizable rod 3.4 is arranged. The textile surface structure 3.2 is fixed to the profile strip 3.3 by means of a clamping strip 3.5. The magnetizable rod 3.4 may extend over the entire length of the profile strip 3.3. Alternatively, magnetizable rods 3.4 may be arranged in the profile strip 3.3, which extends over the entire length of the frame 3.1, only in the area of the hinge magnets 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. The rod 3.4, which is at least partially magnetized by the hinge magnets 4.1 to 4.3, is attracted by the hinge magnets 4.1 to 4.3.
[0031] Depending on the curvature of the omega-shaped profile strip in cross-section, a rotational movement during an opening / closing process can be supported by the profile strip 3.3. Alternatively, magnets can be arranged on both sides of an opening 1, and the profile strips 3.3 forming the respective frame struts can each have a magnetizable rod 3.4 inside, so that the protective device 3 is held equally firmly by the magnets on both sides of the opening 1. In this case, a rotatable bearing is not provided, so the profile strips can also lie flat against the magnets. Reference symbol list
