Abstract
Description
[0001] Title: Interdental brush set
[0002] Description
[0003] Technical area
[0004] The invention relates to an interdental brush set, as well as the individual components of an interdental brush set, namely an interdental brush head, an interdental brush finger grip, an interdental brush, a closure cap for an interdental brush and a packaging for an interdental brush.
[0005] State of the art
[0006] Conventional toothbrushes for cleaning teeth are known from the prior art. The interdental brush represents a special type of toothbrush. Interdental brushes are designed to clean the spaces between teeth. For this purpose, interdental brushes must have a very slim and elongated brush shape. Otherwise, cleaning between the interdental spaces would be impossible or only possible to a very limited extent. Accordingly, interdental brushes differ considerably in their structural design from conventional toothbrushes. Ultimately, interdental brushes are structurally incomparable to conventional toothbrushes, or only to a very limited extent. An example of a known interdental brush is described in EP 2 564 808 B1.
[0007] From US 4,809,389 A, it is known that interdental brushes can be constructed in multiple parts. In particular, the interdental brush can be provided with a replaceable interdental brush head and an interdental brush finger grip. The replaceable interdental brush head has the advantage that it can be easily replaced with a new, clean, and unused interdental brush head after use. This is hygienic, and the entire interdental brush does not always have to be disposed of after the interdental brush has been used for interdental cleaning.
[0008] The disadvantage of state-of-the-art interdental brushes is that the connection between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip requires a complex mechanism. Otherwise, it cannot be guaranteed that the interdental brush head will remain securely in the interdental brush finger grip during interdental cleaning. For this reason alone, different materials and diverse manufacturing steps are often required to produce an interdental brush finger grip. This regularly results in relatively high manufacturing costs.
[0009] In addition, the connections between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip are rigid. While this results in a more stable connection, it also makes cleaning between the teeth more difficult.
[0010] As also shown in US Pat. No. 4,809,389 A, interdental brushes are usually equipped with caps. These caps are intended to protect the interdental brush heads from external contamination. The caps known from the prior art usually have a hollow cylindrical shape, closed on one side.
[0011] The closure caps known from the prior art have the disadvantage that, due to their construction, they are very rigid and non-deformable. This can lead to them easily slipping off the interdental brush, especially the interdental brush head, if the outer diameter of the interdental brush, especially the interdental brush head, is smaller than the inner diameter of the closure cap due to manufacturing tolerances. Furthermore, the closed closure caps have the disadvantage that, for hygiene reasons, single-use interdental brush heads cannot be reused if they have been temporarily stored inside the closure cap. This is due to the fact that the interdental brush heads cannot dry inside the closure cap. Furthermore, the familiar interdental brushes are often sold in plastic packaging. The product label is usually located on a printed paper insert inside the plastic packaging. State-of-the-art packaging has the disadvantage that it comprises various materials that cannot be disposed of simultaneously, and in particular, cannot be recycled together. This means that either the consumer has to manually separate the paper from the plastic, or the packaging is disposed of in an environmentally unfriendly manner.
[0012] The interdental brushes and / or the interdental heads for replacement are regularly offered or sold as an interdental set within a common packaging.
[0013] Description of the invention
[0014] The object of the invention is to provide an interdental brush set belonging to the technical field mentioned above, preferably an interdental brush head, an interdental brush finger grip, an interdental brush, a closure cap, and / or packaging for an interdental brush set, which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide an interdental brush set, preferably an interdental brush head, an interdental brush finger grip, an interdental brush, a closure cap, and / or packaging for an interdental brush set, which can be manufactured simply and inexpensively, is easy to use, and can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner after use.
[0015] An inventive solution to the problem is defined by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, an interdental brush head is proposed which is particularly suitable for use as a component of an interdental brush. The interdental brush head has a bristle section and a connecting section. The bristle section is suitable for cleaning interdental spaces. The connecting section is designed to plug-in the interdental brush head to an interdental brush finger grip of the interdental brush. For example, the connecting section can be plugged into the interdental brush finger grip, at least in sections. The connecting section is arranged at a distal end of the bristle section and connected to the bristle section via a wire.
[0016] Furthermore, the connecting portion has a locking device. The locking device is designed to spread the interdental brush finger handle at least partially when the connecting portion is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle. Furthermore, the locking device is designed to releasably lock with the interdental brush finger handle when the connecting portion is inserted distally into the interdental brush finger handle.
[0017] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the locking device is asymmetrical with respect to each plane oriented orthogonally to the distal direction. This means that the locking device does not have a mirror-symmetry plane that is orthogonal to the distal direction. Examples of an asymmetrical (i.e. non-mirror-symmetrical) shape in this sense are: a ramp-step shape running in the distal direction (longitudinal axis of the connecting section), a helical shape running around the longitudinal axis of the connecting section. The non-mirror-symmetrical shape with respect to each plane perpendicular to the distal direction of the interdental brush head does not exclude the shape from having symmetry in other respects, e.g. rotational symmetry or mirror symmetry with respect to a plane running parallel to the distal direction.
[0018] The advantage of this asymmetry with respect to every plane orthogonal to the distal direction is that, in combination with elastic interdental brush finger handles, it allows for good insertion and locking. The force required when inserting the connecting section into the elastic interdental brush finger handle is lower than when withdrawing it. This ensures comfortable handling and a good grip (resistance to accidental release of the interdental brush head). As an alternative to an asymmetric shape, the locking device can have the shape of a rectangle or a section of a regular polygon, viewed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush head.
[0019] In a special embodiment, the locking device has a progressively widening ridge on its insertion side, which ends in a shoulder and a subsequent abrupt taper. This can be referred to as a ramp-step shape. In side view, the locking device can be wedge-shaped or mushroom-shaped (i.e., convexly rounded in combination with a steep ramp or step).
[0020] In a further special embodiment, the locking device can have helical stop surfaces.
[0021] For the purposes of this application, the terms "distal end" and / or "distal side" refer to an end or side of an object that is facing away from the user's midline during use. For example, when using the object to clean interdental spaces, the "distal end" of the object is the end facing away from the user's oral cavity.
[0022] In contrast, for the purposes of this application, the terms "proximal end" and / or "proximal side" refer to an end or side of an article that faces the midline of a user during use. For example, when using the article to clean interdental spaces, the "proximal end" of the article is the end facing the user's oral cavity.
[0023] For the purposes of this application, the term "spreading" refers to the widening and / or actively changing of the cross-sectional shape of an object. For example, if one object enlarges and / or changes the cross-sectional shape of another object, this constitutes spreading within the meaning of this application.
[0024] For the purposes of this application, the term "releasable locking" refers to a manually releasable locking mechanism. This means that if, for example, two objects are connected to each other by applying a first force and releasably lock together, the two objects can only be released again by applying a second force.
[0025] Preferably, the second force is opposite to the first force and the absolute value of the second force is greater than the absolute value of the first force.
[0026] The structural design and associated functionality of the interdental brush head according to the invention ensure that the interdental brush head can be manufactured simply and cost-effectively, yet is still easy and reliable to use. Furthermore, the interdental brush head according to the invention does not require complex groove guides (e.g., bayonet-type groove guides) in the corresponding interdental brush finger handle for connection to the interdental brush finger handle. Due to its manual detachability, the interdental brush head according to the invention can also be easily replaced with another interdental brush head after use or wear.
[0027] Preferably, the locking device is arranged on the connecting portion such that the interdental brush head, in particular the connecting portion of the interdental brush head, can be inserted distally into the interdental brush finger grip. To remove the interdental brush head from the interdental brush finger grip, the interdental brush head can be designed such that the interdental brush head can be pulled out of the interdental brush finger grip in the proximal direction under tensile load.
[0028] The locking device can be designed asymmetrically. For example, the locking device is designed asymmetrically with respect to a plane oriented orthogonally to the distal direction. The locking device is preferably designed asymmetrically with respect to any conceivable plane oriented orthogonally to the distal direction. In other words, the locking device can have a shape for which there is no mirror symmetry plane oriented orthogonally to the distal direction. For example, the locking device can be designed helically, at least in sections. The locking device can in particular have a helical projection on the connecting section. The helical projection can have a constant and / or variable pitch over its length.A locking device that is designed asymmetrically with respect to each plane oriented orthogonally to the distal direction advantageously ensures that the interdental brush head can be inserted very easily into the interdental brush finger handle, but can only be pulled out of the interdental brush finger handle with difficulty. This means that the insertion force that must be applied to insert the interdental brush head into the interdental brush finger handle is smaller than the withdrawal force that must be applied to pull the interdental brush head out of the interdental brush finger handle. This has the advantage that the insertion process can be accomplished very easily by a user. At the same time, a firm fit of the interdental brush head in the interdental brush finger handle is ensured during the brushing process.
[0029] According to a first exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush head, the connecting section consists at least partially of a deformation-resistant, in particular stiff, material. Preferably, the entire connecting section consists of a deformation-resistant, in particular stiff, material. The material can be, for example, hard plastic, i.e., a deformation-resistant thermoplastic and / or a deformation-resistant thermoset.
[0030] A deformation-resistant, especially bending-resistant, connecting section has the advantage that the connecting section can be better inserted into the interdental brush finger handle.
[0031] The connecting portion can be substantially cylindrical. Preferably, the connecting portion is substantially circularly cylindrical. This advantageously allows the connecting portion to be manufactured simply and cost-effectively. Furthermore, a cylindrical, particularly circularly cylindrical, shape can allow the connecting portion to be inserted more easily into the interdental brush finger grip.
[0032] Alternatively or additionally, the connecting section can have a rounded distal end. For example, the connecting section can be peg-shaped. This means that the connecting section is essentially circularly cylindrical and has a rounded distal end. A connecting section with a rounded distal end has the advantage that the connecting section can be inserted more easily into the interdental brush finger grip.
[0033] In another exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush head, the locking device has a spreading surface. The spreading surface is preferably arranged obliquely with respect to an outer circumferential surface of the connecting portion. In other words, the spreading surface extends obliquely in the longitudinal direction with respect to the outer circumferential surface of the connecting portion. Advantageously, the spreading surface defines the wedge shape of the locking device. The spreading surface is preferably provided to cause the interdental brush finger grip to spread open when the connecting portion is inserted into the interdental brush finger grip.
[0034] Independent of the expansion surface, but preferably combined with the expansion surface, the locking device can have a stop surface. The stop surface can be designed substantially orthogonally with respect to the outer surface of the connecting section. The stop surface can, in particular, enable the locking device to be releasably locked.
[0035] Embodiments in which the locking device has a spreading surface and a stop surface have the advantage that such locking devices can be manufactured easily and inexpensively, but at the same time offer sufficiently effective functionality.
[0036] In an exemplary further development of the embodiment, in which the locking device has a spreading surface, a vertical distance between the spreading surface and the outer surface of the connecting section increases in the proximal direction. In other words, the vertical distance between the spreading surface and the outer surface of the connecting section can decrease in the distal direction. Preferably, the vertical distance between the spreading surface and the outer surface of the connecting section increases continuously or steadily in the proximal direction.
[0037] A continuous change in the vertical distance advantageously results in a straight-line spreading surface. This has the advantage that a user must apply a steadily increasing pressure force to insert the connecting section into the interdental brush finger grip.
[0038] Alternatively or additionally, the expansion surface can be concave and / or convex, at least in sections, in a sectional view. In such an embodiment, the vertical distance between the expansion surface and the outer surface of the connecting section varies in the proximal direction.
[0039] In an exemplary further development of the embodiment, in which the locking device has a stop surface, the stop surface is designed to be operatively connected to a corresponding contact surface of the interdental brush finger grip. This advantageously causes the locking device, and thus also the interdental brush head, to lock with the interdental brush finger grip.
[0040] The locking device can, for example, have one, preferably several, and particularly preferably two, locking lugs. If the locking device comprises two locking lugs, the locking lugs can be provided diametrically opposite one another on the outer surface of the connecting section. Each locking lug preferably comprises a spreading surface and a stop surface.
[0041] Such a locking device advantageously ensures that the locking device symmetrically spreads the interdental brush finger handle and / or that the locking device can lock symmetrically with the interdental brush finger handle when the connecting section is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle. This has the advantage that the interdental brush head can be connected to the interdental brush finger handle with very precise geometric alignment.
[0042] In an alternative embodiment of the locking device compared to the aforementioned embodiment, the locking device can be designed as a truncated cone. This has the advantage that the locking device is particularly stable and can be easily manufactured.
[0043] In an exemplary further development of this embodiment, the locking device is arranged on the connecting section such that a portion of the base surface of the truncated cone extends annularly around the outer surface of the connecting section. This portion of the base surface preferably forms the stop surface of the locking device. Alternatively or additionally, the outer surface of the truncated cone can form the expansion surface of the locking device.
[0044] Independent of the above, but preferably combined with it, the top surface of the truncated cone forms the distal end of the connecting section. The top surface can be flat, as with a conventional truncated cone. Alternatively or additionally, the top surface can have a curvature, at least in sections. This gives the connecting section, for example, a rounded distal end. This advantageously makes it easier to insert the connecting section into the interdental brush finger grip.
[0045] Preferably, the locking device is arranged in the distal half of the connecting section. Particularly preferably, the locking device is arranged in the last distal quarter of the connecting section. This has the advantage that the connecting section only needs to be inserted a few millimeters into the interdental brush finger grip for the locking device to releasably lock into place.
[0046] The locking device can be formed integrally with the connecting section. Preferably, the locking device is molded integrally with the connecting section. This has the advantage that the interdental brush head can be manufactured easily and cost-effectively and is highly stable.
[0047] In another exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush head, the wire is twisted at least in the bristle section. This advantageously ensures that the wire is particularly stable in the bristle section and reduces the likelihood of breakage during interdental cleaning.
[0048] Regardless of whether the wire is twisted in the bristle section, bristles can be arranged on the wire in the bristle section. The bristles are advantageously suitable for cleaning the spaces between the teeth.
[0049] The bristle section can extend over more than 50%, preferably over more than 60%, of the total length of the interdental brush head. Accordingly, the connecting section preferably extends over less than 50%, particularly preferably over less than 40%, of the total length of the interdental brush head. This has the advantage that the bristle section, due to its greater length, offers a larger cleaning surface for the interdental spaces.
[0050] Preferably, the connecting portion is an injection-molded part. This means that the connecting portion can be an object or a component portion, in particular a component portion of the interdental brush head, that is manufactured by injection molding. Advantageously, the wire is overmolded in the material of the connecting portion. In other words, the wire can be embedded in the connecting portion.
[0051] This has the advantage that the interdental brush head can be manufactured easily and inexpensively, but at the same time a stable and secure connection between the bristle section and the connecting section is ensured.
[0052] An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset is also defined by the features of claim 11. According to the invention, an interdental brush finger grip is proposed, which is intended for use in an interdental brush. The interdental brush finger grip is particularly suitable for being grasped by a user with their fingers. During interdental cleaning, the user can exert force on the interdental brush finger grip with their fingers in order to move the interdental brush back and forth to clean the interdental spaces. The interdental brush finger grip comprises a base body and an insertion section.
[0053] The insertion section extends from a proximal end of the base body in the longitudinal direction into the base body. The insertion section is designed for plug-and-play connection of an interdental brush head to the interdental brush finger grip. This means that the interdental brush head can be inserted at least partially, for example via a connecting section, into the insertion section in order to connect the interdental brush head to the interdental brush finger grip. In addition, the insertion section is designed to releasably lock to the interdental brush head, in particular to the connecting section of the interdental brush head, when the interdental brush head is at least partially inserted into the insertion section. According to the invention, the base body is elastic at least at the insertion section. In other words, the base body is designed to be flexible in the region of the insertion section, i.e., reversibly deformable. The user can bend it elastically with a finger across the longitudinal axis (e.g., by at least 30°). The elastic design also allows the insertion section to be squeezed between the fingers, for example, to more easily insert the rear end of the interdental brush head, on which the locking device is provided, into the insertion section. Preferably, the entire base body is elastic in the above-mentioned sense.
[0054] The interdental brush finger grip according to the invention has the advantage that it can be very easily connected to an interdental brush head and is therefore easy to handle. Furthermore, the elasticity of the base body at the insertion section means that the insertion section does not need to have complex structures. This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger grip according to the invention can be manufactured simply and cost-effectively.
[0055] In an exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush finger grip, the base body is rod-shaped. This means that the base body is preferably longer than it is tall and / or wide.
[0056] Alternatively or additionally, the insertion section can extend into the base body over less than 50% of the total length of the base body. For example, the insertion section extends into the base body over less than 30%, preferably over less than 25%, and particularly preferably over less than 20%, of the total length of the base body.
[0057] This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger handle can be more easily connected to an interdental brush head, especially since the latter only needs to be inserted into the interdental brush finger handle over a short section.
[0058] In another exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush finger grip, the cross-sectional shape of the base body changes along its longitudinal extent. For example, the cross-sectional shape of the base body changes from the proximal end of the base body to the distal end of the base body. The cross-sectional shape can be polygonal, in particular triangular, at the proximal end of the base body. Preferably, the corners of the cross-sectional shape at the proximal end of the base body are connected to each other via straight edges. The polygonal cross-sectional shape with straight edges gives the base body a particularly stable shape at its proximal end.
[0059] The cross-sectional shape at the distal end of the base body can also be polygonal, particularly triangular. Round recesses are preferably provided between the corners of the cross-sectional shape at the distal end of the base body. The polygonal cross-sectional shape with round recesses gives the base body a particularly ergonomic shape at its distal end. This means that the user can grip the interdental brush finger grip particularly well with their fingers thanks to the round recess.
[0060] The design with a variable cross-section has the advantage that the interdental brush finger handle is particularly stable and particularly ergonomic.
[0061] Preferably, the base body is an injection-molded body. Additionally or alternatively, the base body can be made of a material comprising a silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer. Advantageously, the entire base body is made of silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer.
[0062] This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger handle can be manufactured easily and inexpensively and is also particularly flexible.
[0063] In an exemplary embodiment, the insertion section is a blind hole in the base body. This means that the insertion section is a recess in the base body that has a defined depth. The insertion section can be cylindrical. For example, the insertion section can have a circular-cylindrical shape.
[0064] This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger handle can be manufactured easily and inexpensively.
[0065] In a further exemplary embodiment, the insertion section has a locking groove. The locking groove can be designed to lock with a part of the interdental brush head, preferably with a locking device of the interdental brush head, when the interdental brush head is connected to the interdental brush finger grip, in particular when the interdental brush head is at least partially inserted into the insertion section.
[0066] The locking groove can be modeled, at least in part, on the shape of the locking mechanism of the interdental brush head. This has the advantage that the locking mechanism of the interdental brush head can engage positively with the locking groove of the interdental brush finger grip.
[0067] The locking groove advantageously ensures that the interdental brush head, in particular the locking device of the interdental brush head, engages more effectively with the interdental brush finger grip when the interdental brush head is connected to the interdental brush finger grip, especially when the interdental brush head is at least partially inserted into the insertion section. This has the advantage of making the connection between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip more stable.
[0068] The locking groove preferably comprises a groove base. The groove base can be delimited in the longitudinal direction of the insertion section by at least one groove wall. Preferably, the groove base is delimited in the longitudinal direction of the insertion section by two groove walls.
[0069] The groove base can have a constant radial distance from the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush finger handle in the proximal and / or distal direction. Alternatively or additionally, the groove base can run at least partially obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush finger handle. In other words, the radial distance of the groove base from the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush finger handle can vary at least partially in the proximal and / or distal direction.
[0070] The groove base can be modeled, at least in sections, on the shape of the spreading surface of the locking mechanism of the interdental brush head. This advantageously ensures that the groove base can form-fit against the spreading surface of the locking mechanism of the interdental brush head when the interdental brush finger grip is connected to the interdental brush head. This has the advantage that the interdental brush head can be held particularly securely in the interdental brush finger grip.
[0071] Preferably, the locking groove is designed as an annular groove. The annular groove can extend over the entire circumference of the insertion section. The embodiment with an annular groove has the advantage that such an interdental brush finger grip can be manufactured easily and cost-effectively.
[0072] In an advantageous further development of the interdental brush finger grip with a locking groove, a groove wall forms a contact surface. The contact surface can be designed to be operatively connected to a corresponding stop surface of the interdental brush head. The corresponding groove wall is preferably the groove wall that is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the base body between the groove base and the proximal end of the base body.
[0073] This advantageously ensures that the interdental brush head, in particular the stop surface of the locking device of the interdental brush head, locks better with the interdental brush finger handle when the interdental brush head is connected to the interdental brush finger handle, in particular when the interdental brush head is inserted at least partially into the insertion section.
[0074] In a further embodiment, the base body is designed to be elastic, at least at the insertion section, such that the locking connection between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip yields when a predefined tensile load is applied to the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip. The predefined tensile force is in any case greater than a tensile force that can arise during cleaning of the interdental spaces.
[0075] For example, if a user wants to remove the interdental brush head from the interdental brush finger grip, this can be done by pulling on the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip.
[0076] REPLACEMENT BLADE (RULE 26) The user will apply a greater pulling force in the proximal direction than is present during tooth brushing. The elasticity of the base body at the insertion section then causes the locking mechanism between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip to give way on the interdental brush finger grip, and the interdental brush head is released from the locking mechanism.
[0077] This advantageously ensures that the connection between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip can be easily released by the user. This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger grip is very easy to handle.
[0078] In an embodiment in which the interdental brush finger grip has a contact surface, the contact surface can be flexible due to the elastic design of the base body at the insertion section. This allows the operative connection between the contact surface and the stop surface to be detachable. This is particularly the case when a predefined tensile load is applied to the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip. The predefined tensile force is always greater than a tensile force that can occur during cleaning of the interdental spaces.
[0079] For example, the elasticity of the base body at the insertion section can cause the contact surface to yield when a predefined tensile load is applied to the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip. In other words, above a predefined tensile force, the contact surface can no longer absorb the proximal force introduced by the stop surface. Instead, the contact surface is then displaced by the stop surface or overcompressed by the stop surface. This, in turn, results in the interdental brush head being pulled out of the interdental brush finger grip by a user.
[0080] Such an embodiment advantageously ensures that the connection between the interdental brush head and the interdental brush finger grip can be very easily released by a user. This has the advantage that the interdental brush finger grip is very easy to handle.
[0081] REPLACEMENT LEAF (RULE 26) An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset is also defined by the features of claim 20. According to the invention, an interdental brush is proposed that is suitable for cleaning between teeth. The interdental brush comprises at least one interdental brush head according to the above embodiments and one interdental brush finger grip according to the above embodiments, wherein the connecting portion of the interdental brush head can be inserted into the insertion portion of the interdental brush finger grip and releasably locked.
[0082] According to the invention, the interdental brush head can be
[0083] The interdental brush finger grip can be detached if a predefined pulling force is applied to the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip. The predefined pulling force is always greater than the pulling force that can occur during interdental cleaning. Preferably, the pulling force can be applied to the interdental brush head and / or the interdental brush finger grip by a user.
[0084] Such an interdental brush has the advantage that the interdental brush can be manufactured very easily and is easy to use.
[0085] According to a special embodiment, the connecting section of the brush head is made of a material that is inelastic compared to the elastic plug-in section, so that when the connecting section is inserted into the plug-in section, essentially only the plug-in section of the interdental brush finger handle expands and then closes again around the locking device of the connecting section when locked. Compared to previously known systems in which the shaft of the interdental brush head is made of a soft (elastic) material, this has the advantage that an interdental brush head with a thin connecting section (coupling shaft) does not deform or bend if it is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle in a suboptimal manner (as may be the case with an inexperienced user or a user with less fine motor skills).
[0086] Advantageously, an interdental brush head of the interdental brush can be easily replaced with another interdental brush head, especially after use. For example, the interdental brush head can be a first interdental brush head that is interchangeable with a second interdental brush head.
[0087] This has the advantage that the interdental brush is particularly environmentally friendly and sustainable, especially since only those elements of the interdental brush that were in direct contact with the interdental spaces need to be replaced after interdental cleaning.
[0088] An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset is also defined by the features of claim 22. According to the invention, a closure cap for an interdental brush is proposed. The interdental brush can, in particular, be an interdental brush according to the above-mentioned embodiments.
[0089] The closure cap according to the invention comprises a tubular body that can be attached to the interdental brush. The body has at least one longitudinal slot designed to allow gas exchange between a cavity facing the inner surface of the body and the surrounding environment. The term "surrounding environment" is understood to mean the environment facing the outer surface of the body.
[0090] A cap with a longitudinal slit allows the bristle section of the interdental brush, especially the interdental brush head, moistened from interdental cleaning to dry, even though the bristle section is encased in the cap. In other words, the bristle section can dry while simultaneously being protected from environmental dirt particles by the cap. This has the advantage that the cap can significantly increase the sustainability of an interdental brush, especially since the bristle section of the interdental brush, especially the interdental brush head, can be reused thanks to the cap.
[0091] The body of the closure cap has a triangular cross-section, at least in some sections. This has the advantage of making the body particularly stable and, in particular, less sensitive to external influences such as pressure.
[0092] Alternatively or additionally, the cross-section of the body may taper in the longitudinal direction.
[0093] As a result, the closure cap advantageously has smaller external dimensions. The closure cap preferably encloses the interdental brush head of the interdental brush, in particular the bristle section of the interdental brush head, when the closure cap is attached to the interdental brush.
[0094] The cap can be designed to be rigid. For example, the cap can be made at least partially of hard plastic. This makes the cap particularly stable and easy to manufacture.
[0095] The object stated above is also achieved by a packaging according to claim 23. The packaging according to the invention is suitable for accommodating at least one interdental brush head and / or at least one interdental brush. The interdental brush head is preferably an interdental brush head according to the above embodiments. The interdental brush is preferably an interdental brush according to the above embodiments.
[0096] The packaging has an outer shell that can be printed on both sides with ink. The outer shell is preferably made of cardboard and / or plastic. The outer shell comprises a lid and four side walls. The four side walls are foldable and are each arranged on the side of the lid. The outer shell is preferably formed in one piece. This means that the lid and the four side walls can be molded together. The lid can in particular be connected to the corresponding side walls via a fold. The side walls can be, for example, a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall and a fourth side wall. The first side wall and the third side wall are preferably arranged opposite one another on the lid. The second side wall can be arranged opposite the fourth side wall on the lid.
[0097] According to the invention, two opposing side walls, for example the first side wall and the third side wall, are designed such that the two opposing side walls overlap at least in sections when the two opposing side walls are folded towards the lid. In other words, the first side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the third side wall when the first side wall and the third side wall are folded towards the lid. Alternatively, the third side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the first side wall when the first side wall and the third side wall are folded towards the lid.
[0098] Advantageously, at least one interdental brush head and / or at least one interdental brush can be arranged in the space between the lid and the overlapping side walls.
[0099] The two remaining opposing side walls, in particular the second side wall and the fourth side wall, are designed such that the remaining opposing side walls can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the at least partially overlapping side walls. This is particularly the case when all side walls are folded in towards the lid. For example, the second side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the first side wall. Alternatively or additionally, the second side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the third side wall. The fourth side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the first side wall. Alternatively or additionally, the fourth side wall can be arranged at least in sections between the lid and the third side wall.
[0100] Advantageously, the two remaining side walls, in particular the second and fourth side walls, laterally close the space between the lid and the overlapping side walls.
[0101] An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset is also defined by the features of claim 23. According to the invention, a package for several interdental brush heads is proposed. The interdental brush heads are preferably interdental brush heads according to the above-mentioned embodiments.
[0102] The packaging according to the invention consists of paper and / or plastic and comprises at least one outer sleeve that can be printed on both sides and an insert that can be inserted into the outer sleeve.
[0103] The outer shell has a lid and four side walls. The side walls are each arranged laterally on an edge of the lid and can be folded relative to the lid. The outer shell can, in particular, be designed analogously to the outer shell of the aforementioned packaging.
[0104] The insert can be arranged on the inside of the lid. Furthermore, the insert has a base section and a holding section, the holding section being designed to accommodate multiple interdental brush heads.
[0105] Since the packaging for the multiple interdental brush heads is made of paper, cardboard, or biodegradable plastic, the packaging according to the invention is particularly easy to recycle and therefore particularly sustainable.
[0106] An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset can also be defined by the features of claim 23. Accordingly, a packaging for an interdental brush is proposed. The interdental brush is preferably an interdental brush according to the above statements.
[0107] The packaging according to the invention consists of paper, cardboard and / or plastic and comprises at least one outer shell that can be printed on both sides and an insert that can be inserted into the outer shell.
[0108] The outer shell comprises a lid and four side walls. The side walls are each arranged laterally on an edge of the lid and can be folded relative to the lid. The outer shell can, in particular, be designed analogously to the outer shell of the packaging described above.
[0109] The insert can be placed on the inside of the lid. The insert also has a recess. The interdental brush can be placed in this recess.
[0110] Since the packaging for the interdental brush is made of paper and / or plastic, the packaging according to the invention is particularly easy to recycle and therefore particularly sustainable.
[0111] In an exemplary embodiment of the packaging for the plurality of interdental brush heads, the base section has a recess. An interdental brush, preferably an interdental brush according to the above explanations, can be arranged in the recess. The interdental brush can, in particular, comprise an interdental brush finger grip and an interdental brush head detachable from the interdental brush finger grip.
[0112] This makes the packaging advantageously suitable for packaging both one interdental brush and several interdental brush heads.
[0113] Preferably, the base section of the packaging for the multiple interdental brush heads is made of corrugated cardboard. The same can also apply to the insert of the packaging for the interdental brush. Corrugated cardboard advantageously makes the base section particularly stable and durable. This has the advantage of improving the packaging properties.
[0114] Alternatively or additionally, the base section and / or the insert can have a material thickness that corresponds to the maximum thickness of the interdental brush. This advantageously allows the interdental brush to be held particularly well in the base section and / or the insert.
[0115] In another exemplary embodiment of the packaging for the multiple interdental brush heads, the holding section is at least partially roller-shaped. The roller-shaped holding section advantageously forms a cavity. The interdental brush heads, preferably the bristle sections of the interdental brush heads, can be arranged in the cavity. This has the advantage that the interdental brush heads, preferably the bristle sections of the interdental brush heads, are additionally protected by the holding section.
[0116] Alternatively or additionally, the holding section can have multiple passages. Each passage is preferably designed to fix or clamp an interdental brush head, preferably a connecting section of the corresponding interdental brush head. For example, the respective interdental brush head can be inserted into a corresponding passage such that the connecting section of the interdental brush head is releasably clamped in the respective passage. This means that the interdental brush head can be pulled out of the holding section by a user when the user wishes to use the interdental brush head. The passages can be provided in particular laterally, in particular laterally on the lateral surface of the holding section.
[0117] Such a design makes the packaging particularly easy to handle for a user.
[0118] Preferably, the holding section is arranged on the base section, in particular directly on the base section. The holding section can, for example, be glued to the base section. This has the advantage that the packaging is inexpensive and easy to produce.
[0119] The outer shell can be made of cardboard. This has the advantage of being particularly sturdy and providing better protection for the contents.
[0120] Alternatively or additionally, the outer shell can form a closed hollow body. This can be particularly the case if the four side walls are folded into a designated position relative to the lid. The side walls can also advantageously be connected to each other in this position.
[0121] An inventive solution to the problem posed at the outset is also defined by the features of an interdental brush set according to claim 24. The interdental brush set comprises at least one packaging according to the above embodiments and one interdental brush according to the above embodiments. Furthermore, the interdental brush set can also comprise a closure cap and / or several interdental brush heads according to the above embodiments.
[0122] An alternative interdental brush set, which is also in accordance with the invention, can comprise at least one packaging according to the above embodiments and several interdental brush heads according to the above embodiments.
[0123] The problem posed at the beginning can be solved using each of the items described above, in particular independently of the other items described above. However, the problem posed at the beginning can also be solved by combining at least two of the items described above.

[0145] Ways to implement the invention
[0146] Fig. 1 shows a side view of a first embodiment of an interdental brush head 1. The interdental brush head 1 has a bristle section 2 and a connecting section 7. The bristle section 2 accounts for more than 50% of the total length of the interdental brush head 1. Conversely, the connecting section 7 accounts for less than 50% of the total length of the interdental brush head 1. The left end of the interdental brush head 1 shown in Fig. 1 is a proximal end 5 of the interdental brush head 1. At the same time, the left end 5 of the interdental brush head 1 is also a proximal end of the bristle portion 2. The right end 9 of the interdental brush head 1 shown in Fig. 1 is a distal end 9 of the interdental brush head 1. At the same time, the right end 9 of the interdental brush head 1 is also a distal end of the connecting portion 7.
[0147] The interdental brush head 1 is designed to be connected to an interdental brush finger grip 20. With regard to the detailed design of the interdental brush finger grip 20, reference is made to the figure descriptions of Figs. 4-7. The connection between the interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20 is a plug-in connection. The interdental brush head 1 can be inserted distally into the interdental brush finger grip 20. The interdental brush head 1 is designed to releasably lock into the interdental brush finger grip 20 when the interdental brush head 1 is inserted into the interdental brush finger grip 20. In order to remove the interdental brush head 1 from the interdental brush finger grip 20, a user must apply a tensile force in the proximal direction to the interdental brush head 1.Alternatively or additionally, the user can apply a pulling force in the distal direction to the interdental brush finger grip 20 to remove the interdental brush head 1 from the interdental brush finger grip 20. The pulling force must be large enough to overcome the locking mechanism between the interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0148] The bristle section 2 of the interdental brush head 1 comprises a wire 4 and a plurality of bristles 3. The bristles 3 are arranged in any desired arrangement on the wire 4 and are designed to clean interdental spaces. In the illustrated embodiment, the wire 4 is a twisted wire 4. When used correctly by a user, the wire 4, together with the bristles 3, is moved back and forth between the interdental spaces, allowing the bristles 3 to remove, preferably scrape, dirt from between the teeth.
[0149] The connecting section 7 is provided at a distal end 6 of the bristle section 2. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in Fig. 1, the connecting section 7 is connected to the bristle section 2 in such a way that the wire 4 has a section without bristles 3 at its distal end, and this section of the wire 4 extends into the connecting section 7. The wire 4 is overmolded with the material of the connecting section 7. The connection between the connecting section 7 and the bristle section 2 cannot be removed without causing damage.
[0150] The connecting section 7 is made of a deformation- and bending-resistant material, such as hard plastic. The connecting section 7 is essentially circular-cylindrical. The distal end 9 of the connecting section 7 is formed by a rounded end face 9. The rounded end face 9 facilitates the insertion of the connecting section 7 into the interdental brush finger handle 20 when the connecting section 7 is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20.
[0151] The connecting section 7 has a locking device 11 on its distal half, i.e. on the half of the connecting section 7 facing away from the bristle section 2. The locking device 11 is wedge-shaped. As a result, the locking device 11 can spread the interdental brush finger handle 20 at least in sections when the interdental brush head 1, in particular the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1, is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20. The locking device 11 is also designed to releasably lock with the interdental brush finger handle 20 when the interdental brush head 1, in particular the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1, is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20. The locking device 11 is formed integrally with the connecting section 7, in particular is molded integrally with the connecting section 7.
[0152] Fig. 2 shows an enlarged section of the connecting section according to Fig. 1 . It schematically shows a geometric plane E0 orthogonal to the longitudinal axis L0 of the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head and thus also orthogonal to the distal direction R0.
[0153] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the locking device 11 comprises two locking lugs 12.1, 12.2, namely a first locking lug 12.1 and a second locking lug 12.2. The locking lugs 12.1, 12.2 are arranged diametrically opposite one another on the connecting section 7, in particular on the outer circumferential surface 10 of the connecting section 7. The locking lugs 12.1, 12.2 are essentially identically shaped and each have an expanding surface 13 and a stop surface 14. Thus, on its insertion side (i.e. at the front in the insertion direction), this locking device has a successively widening back (expanding surface 13) which ends in a shoulder and a subsequent abrupt taper (stop surface 14). In side view, the locking device thus has the shape of a wedge.
[0154] The expansion surfaces 13 are arranged obliquely with respect to the outer surface of the connecting section 7. This means that a distance 16 measured vertically between the expansion surface 13 and the outer surface 10 of the connecting section 7 varies in the longitudinal direction of the connecting section 7. The vertically measured distance 16 decreases in a distal direction. The vertically measured distance 16 increases in a proximal direction.
[0155] The spreading surfaces 13 give the locking device 11, in particular the respective locking lug 12.1, 12.2, a wedge shape. If the interdental brush head 1, in particular the connecting section 7, is inserted distally into the interdental brush finger grip 20, the wedge shape of the locking device 11, in particular the wedge shape of the respective locking lug 12.1, 12.2, causes the interdental brush finger grip 20 to be spread out at least in sections. This is due to the fact that an inner circumferential surface of the interdental brush finger grip 20 is widened by the inclined spreading surfaces 13 as the connecting section 7 is pushed or inserted further into the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0156] The stop surface 14 is provided at a proximal end of the respective locking lug 12.1, 12.2. The stop surface 14 is a surface 14 that is essentially orthogonal to the connecting section 7, in particular to the outer surface 10 of the connecting section 7.
[0157] As can be easily seen from Fig. 2, the locking device 1 1 is asymmetric (non-mirror symmetric) with respect to each plane E0 which is orthogonal to the distal direction.
[0158] The stop surface 14 can be brought into operative connection with a corresponding contact surface 27.1 of the interdental brush finger handle 20. The operative connection is created in particular when the stop surface 14 of the locking device 11 is snapped behind by the contact surface 27.1 of the interdental brush finger handle 20 at the end of the insertion process. With regard to the contact surface 27.1 of the interdental brush finger handle 20, reference is made to the description of Fig. 7. Due to this operative connection, the interdental brush head 1, in particular the connecting section 7, can lock with the interdental brush finger handle 20. The stop surface 14 is designed to introduce a tensile load in the proximal direction into the interdental brush finger handle 20. The tensile load in the proximal direction can, for example, be applied to the interdental brush head 1 by a user. With regard to the concrete operating principle of the releasable locking between the stop surface 1 and the contact surface 27.1, reference is made to the description of Fig. 10.
[0159] In the present example, the rounded end face 9 is at an axial distance from the beginning of the spreading surface 13. In an alternative embodiment, this distance is missing, and the cambered end face 9 and the spreading surface 13 consequently form a mushroom-shaped profile in side view. This means that the cambered shape facilitates the insertion of the connecting section 7 into the interdental brush finger handle, and the immediately subsequent expansion (back) gradually spreads the interdental brush finger handle.
[0160] The locking device can also be rotationally symmetrical. This means that the end 9 and the locking device are mushroom-shaped overall (i.e., in every side view and not just in a selected side view). Such a mushroom shape has the advantage that when the connecting section 7 is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle, the insertion opening (at the channel-shaped insertion section 24 in Figs. 5 to 7) expands equally in all directions (whereas with two diametrically arranged shark-fin-like locking devices, for example, as shown in Fig. 2, the expansion occurs only in two places).
[0161] Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of a connecting section 7 according to a second embodiment of the interdental brush head 1. The second embodiment of the interdental brush head 1 differs from the first embodiment of the interdental brush head 1 only in the design of the locking device 11. With regard to all other components and properties, reference is made to the above explanations regarding the first embodiment of the interdental brush head 1. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, the locking device 11 is designed as a truncated cone 12.3. In other words, the locking device 11 is frustoconical in the second embodiment of the interdental brush head 1.
[0162] The cover surface 18 of the truncated cone 12.3 corresponds to the distal end face 9 of the connecting section 7. In the second embodiment, the distal end face 9, and thus also the cover surface 18 of the truncated cone 12.3, is rounded.
[0163] A part of the base surface 15 of the truncated cone 12.3 forms the stop surface 14 of the locking device 11. The part of the base surface 15 forming the stop surface 14 extends annularly around the outer surface 10 of the connecting section 7.
[0164] The outer surface 17 of the truncated cone 12.3 forms the spreading surface 13 of the locking device 11. The spreading surface 13 consequently extends over the entire circumference of the connecting section 7. With regard to the functioning of the locking device 11 shown in Fig. 3, reference is made to the above explanations.
[0165] Fig. 4 shows a first side view of an embodiment of an interdental brush finger handle 20. The interdental brush finger handle 20 has a proximal end 22 and a distal end 23.
[0166] The interdental brush finger grip 20 is designed to be plugged into an interdental brush head 1. For the detailed design of the interdental brush head 1, please refer to the descriptions of Figs. 1-3.
[0167] The interdental brush finger grip 20 is formed by an elastic base body 21. The elastic base body 21 is rod-shaped. Independently thereof, the elastic base body 21 consists at least partially of a silicone and / or a thermoplastic elastomer. Preferably, the elastic base body 21 is produced using an injection molding process. Accordingly, the elastic base body 21 is designed as an injection-molded body 21. The interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular the elastic base body 21, has a variable cross-section in the longitudinal direction. To illustrate the variable cross-section in the longitudinal direction, the proximal end 22 of the base body 21 is shown in a plan view in Fig. 5. The distal end 23 of the interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, is shown in Fig. 6.
[0168] The cross-section of the interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, is triangular in the region of the proximal end 22 (see Fig. 5). The respective corners of the triangular cross-section are rounded and connected to one another via straight edges. In the illustrated embodiment, the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger grip 20 is a proximal end face 22. Alternatively, the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, can also be rounded.
[0169] As shown in Fig. 5, a channel-shaped insertion section 24 extends from the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger handle 20 into the elastic base body 21 of the interdental brush finger handle 20. For the detailed design of the insertion section 24, reference is made to the description of Fig. 7.
[0170] The cross-section of the interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, is also triangular in the region of the distal end 23 (see Fig. 6). However, a recess 28 is provided between each two adjacent corners of the triangular cross-section. The recesses 28 allow the interdental brush finger grip 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, to be gripped more easily by a user, in particular with the fingers.
[0171] Fig. 7 shows the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular the elastic base body 21, in a sectional view. The section chosen for the sectional view runs along the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush finger handle 20. Starting from the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger handle 20, the channel-shaped insertion section 24 extends longitudinally into the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular the elastic base body 21. The insertion section 24 is a blind hole in the illustrated embodiment. In relation to the total length of the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular of the elastic base body 21, the insertion section 24 extends over less than 50%. In the embodiment shown in Fig.In the embodiment shown in Fig. 7, the insertion section 24 extends into the elastic base body 21 over less than 20% of the total length of the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular the total length of the elastic base body 21.
[0172] The insertion section 24 is designed to releasably engage with the interdental brush head 1 when the interdental brush head 1 is at least partially inserted into the insertion section 24. Preferably, the connecting section 7 is inserted into the insertion section 24 with the locking device 11. The diameter of the insertion section 24 substantially corresponds to the diameter of the connecting section 7.
[0173] In order to enable the locking between the interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20, a locking groove 25 is provided in the insertion section 24. In the illustrated embodiment, the locking groove 25 is an annular groove 25 which extends over the entire circumference of the insertion section 24. The locking groove 25 comprises a groove base 26 which is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the elastic base body
[0174] 21 is delimited by two groove walls 27.1, 27.2. One of the groove walls 27.1, 27.2, namely a first groove wall 27.1, is arranged between the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular between the proximal end 22 of the elastic base body 21, and the groove base 26. A second groove wall 27.2, opposite the first groove wall 27.1, is arranged between the distal end 22 of the interdental brush finger handle 20, in particular between the distal end
[0175] 22 of the elastic base body 21 , and the groove base 26 .
[0176] The first groove wall 27.1 forms a contact surface 27.1 for the stop surface 14 of the locking device 11 of the interdental brush head 1. The contact surface 27.1 is designed to be operatively connected to the corresponding stop surface 14 of the interdental brush head 1. The operative connection between the contact surface 27.1 and the stop surface 14 results in the interdental brush head 1 locking with the interdental brush finger handle 20 when the interdental brush head 1 is inserted at least partially with its connecting section 7 into the insertion section 24 of the interdental brush finger handle 20. During the insertion of the connecting section 7 into the insertion section 24, the locking device 11 spreads the insertion section 24 until the contact surface 27.1 snaps behind the stop surface 14.
[0177] Due to the elasticity of the elastic base body 21, the contact surface 27.1 is also elastic. This means that the contact surface 27.1 is flexible with respect to the stop surface 14. If the tensile load that can be applied by a user in the proximal direction becomes too great, the contact surface 27.1 can be displaced or over-pressed by the stop surface 14. This releases the locking connection between the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1 and the insertion section 24 of the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0178] With regard to the concrete operating principle of the locking between the contact surface 27.1 and the stop surface 14, reference is also made to the description of Fig. 10.
[0179] Figs. 8 and 9 each show a side view of an embodiment of an interdental brush 30. The interdental brush 30 comprises an interdental brush head 1 and an interdental brush finger grip 20. The interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20 are structurally identical to the interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20 described above. In the illustrations shown in Fig. 8, the interdental brush head 1 and the interdental brush finger grip 20 are separated from each other.
[0180] The interdental brush head 1 has a bristle section 2 and a connecting section 7. The bristle section 2 comprises a plurality of bristles 3 arranged on a wire 4. The wire 4 connects the bristle section 2 to the connecting section 7. With regard to the specific structure of the interdental brush head 1, reference is made to the explanations in the figure description for Figs. 1-3. The interdental brush finger grip 20 consists of an elastic base body 21 with a proximal end 22 and a distal end 23. With regard to the specific structure of the interdental brush finger grip 20, reference is made to the explanations in the figure description for Figs. 4-7.
[0181] Fig. 9 shows the interdental brush 30 in a state in which the interdental brush head 1 is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20. For this purpose, the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1 was inserted into the insertion section 24 not visible in Figs. 8 and 9. In other words, starting from the state shown in Fig. 8, the connecting section 7 was moved with its distal end 9 towards the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger handle 20 until the distal end 9 slid into the insertion section 24. By further applying a compressive force in the distal direction, the connecting section 7 was inserted into the insertion section 24 so far that the connecting section 7 was completely encased by the elastic base body 21. Only the bristle section 2 of the interdental brush head 1 protrudes from the proximal end 22 of the interdental brush finger grip 20. In the embodiment shown in Fig.In the state shown in Figure 9, the interdental brush head 1 is releasably locked together under the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0182] In the state of the interdental brush 30 shown in Fig. 9, the interdental brush 30 can be used to clean the interdental spaces of a user. To do so, the user can grasp the interdental brush 30 by the interdental brush finger grip 20 and insert the bristle section 2 of the interdental brush head 1 into the interdental space to be cleaned. If the interdental brush 30 is carefully moved back and forth when the bristle section 2 is in the interdental space, the interdental spaces are cleaned by the bristles 3 of the bristle section 2. A possible tensile force in the proximal direction that could be applied to the bristle section 2 during interdental cleaning is not sufficient to release the interdental brush head 1 from the locking connection with the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0183] Fig. 10a shows a sectional view of another embodiment of the interdental brush
[0184] 30. The section was taken along the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush 30. In principle, the structural design of the exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush 30 shown in Fig. 10a corresponds to the structural design of the aforementioned exemplary embodiment of the interdental brush 30. The exemplary embodiments differ in that the locking device 11 of the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 10a is frustoconical and has a flat top surface. The locking groove 25 of the interdental brush finger handle 20 is at least partially modeled on the shape of the locking device 11. The locking groove 25 comprises only a first groove wall 27.1 and a groove base that runs obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the interdental brush finger handle 20. The first groove wall 27.1 forms the contact surface 27.1 of the locking groove 25. The groove base of the locking groove 25 is modeled on the spreading surface of the locking device 11.
[0185] In the illustration shown in Fig. 10a, the interdental brush head 1 is not inserted into the interdental brush finger grip 20.
[0186] Fig. 10b shows the state in which the interdental brush head 1 is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20. In contrast to the aforementioned embodiment of the interdental brush 30, the connecting portion 7 of the interdental brush head 1 protrudes at least partially from the insertion portion 24 of the interdental brush finger handle 20 when the interdental brush head 1 is inserted into the interdental brush finger handle 20.
[0187] To insert the interdental brush head 1 into the interdental brush finger grip 20, the user presses the interdental brush head 1 distally into the interdental brush finger grip 20. In doing so, the locking device 11, in particular the spreading surface of the locking device 11, spreads the insertion section 24, so that the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1 is pushed into the insertion section 24 of the interdental brush finger grip 20. As soon as the locking device 11 is fully inserted into the locking groove 25, the locking device 11 and the locking groove 25 form a positive connection.
[0188] The interdental brush head 1 is locked to the locking groove 25 of the insertion section 24 via the locking device 11 on the connecting section 7. This means that the stop surface 14 of the locking device 11 is operatively connected to the contact surface 27.1 of the locking groove 25 in such a way that a tensile force is transmitted in the proximal direction (upward in the illustration shown in Fig. 10) from the stop surface 14 to the contact surface 27.1. The tensile force is so low that the stop surface 1 causes no or only a negligible deformation of the elastic base body 21, in particular of the contact surface 27.1. Such low tensile forces in the proximal direction are to be expected, in particular, during tooth cleaning with the interdental brush 30.
[0189] If, however, a user wishes to replace the interdental brush head 1, the user will apply a greater tensile force in the proximal direction by pulling on the interdental brush head 1 and / or the interdental brush finger grip 20 than is present during tooth cleaning. This tensile force exerted by the user causes the contact surface 27.1 to yield due to the elasticity of the base body 21. This means that the proximal force introduced into the contact surface 27.1 by the stop surface 14 can no longer be absorbed by the contact surface 27.1, but rather the contact surface 27.1 is displaced by the stop surface 14 or is overpressed by the stop surface 14. This, in turn, has the consequence that the interdental brush head 1 can be pulled out of the interdental brush finger grip 20. Due to the elasticity of the base body 21, the contact surface 27.1 snaps back into its original position after being pulled out.
[0190] The interdental brush head 1 can be inserted into the interdental brush finger grip 20 and removed again without damaging it, allowing the user to easily replace the interdental brush head 1. This makes the interdental brush 30 particularly easy to handle. Since the interdental brush finger grip 20 can be reused for a variety of interdental cleanings, the interdental brush 30 is also sustainable and environmentally friendly.
[0191] Fig. 11 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a closure cap 40. The closure cap 40 is designed to be plugged onto an interdental brush 30. The closure cap 40 is designed in particular to protect a bristle section 2 of an interdental brush head 1 of the interdental brush 30 when the closure cap 40 is plugged onto the interdental brush 30. The closure cap 40 comprises a tubular or rod-shaped body 41. The body 41 is formed in one piece and can be plugged onto an interdental brush 30. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 11, the body 41 has a triangular cross-section.
[0192] The body 41 is closed on a first end face 44 facing away from the viewer in Fig. 11. The body 41 is open on the second end face 45 facing the viewer in Fig. 11. A bristle section 2 of an interdental brush 30 can be inserted into the closure cap 40 via the open second end face 45 of the body 41. Once the bristle section 2 is inserted into the closure cap 40, the bristle section 2 is encased by the closure cap 40 and protected from external environmental influences, in particular from external contamination.
[0193] The body 41 of the closure cap 40 comprises a plurality of longitudinal slots 42. The longitudinal slots 42 are designed to allow gas exchange between the interior, in particular the cavity formed by the body 41, and the environment. This gas exchange can cause a bristle section 2 moistened from interdental cleaning to dry, even though the bristle section 2 is encased in the closure cap 40. Due to the longitudinal slots 42, the bristle section 2 can dry without coming into contact with dirt particles from the environment.
[0194] Locking means 46 are arranged on the body 41, in particular on the second, open end face 45. The locking means 46 are designed to lock with the interdental brush 30 when the closure cap 40 is placed onto the interdental brush 30. This prevents the closure cap 40 from accidentally slipping off the interdental brush 30. Due to the longitudinal slots 42, the closure cap 40 is easily deformable. By external pressure, for example by pressure that the user applies to the closure cap 40, the closure cap 40 can be deformed such that the locking means 46 are released from their locking connection with the interdental brush 30. The closure cap 40 can then be removed from the interdental brush 30. In other words, the closure cap 40 can be removed from the interdental brush 30 if the user applies a compressive and / or tensile force to the closure cap 40.
[0195] Fig. 12 shows a top view of a first embodiment of a packaging 50. The packaging 50 comprises an outer sleeve 51 and an insert 54. The packaging 50 is made of 100% recyclable paper and / or cardboard. This makes the packaging 50 particularly environmentally friendly.
[0196] The outer shell 51 can be printed with ink on both sides. The outer shell 51 comprises a lid 52 and four side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4, namely a first side wall 53.1, a second side wall 53.2, a third side wall 53.3, and a fourth side wall 53.4. Each of the side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4 is provided on a respective side of the lid 52. The first side wall 53.1 is arranged opposite the third side wall 53.3. The second side wall 53.2 is arranged opposite the fourth side wall 53.4. The side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4 are hingedly connected to the lid 52. In the fully packaged state, the side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4 are folded or folded in relation to the lid 52 and / or connected to one another in such a way that the side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4 together with the lid 52 form a hollow space.
[0197] To form the cavity, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 12, the second side wall 53.2 and the fourth side wall 53.3 are first folded toward the lid 52. When the first side wall 53.1 and the third side wall 53.3 are then folded, the first side wall 53.1 and the third side wall 53.3 overlap with each other in sections.
[0198] The insert 54 is arranged in the cavity of the outer shell 51 formed by the side walls 53.1, 53.2, 53.3, 53.4 and the cover 52. The insert 54 is thus protected by the outer shell 51 from external environmental influences, in particular from external contamination.
[0199] The insert 54 is arranged on an inner side of the lid 52. The insert 54 can be connected to the lid 52, for example, glued, or placed loosely on the lid 52. The insert 54 is made of paper and / or cardboard. The insert 54 is designed to accommodate a plurality of interdental brush heads 1. As in the embodiment shown in Fig. 12, the insert 54 comprises a base section 55 and a holding section 57.
[0200] Fig. 13 shows a side view of the insert 54 from Fig. 12.
[0201] The base section 55 of the insert 54 is plate-shaped. When the package 50 is assembled, the base section 55 is placed with its underside on the lid 52 of the outer shell 51. The holding section 57 is arranged on the top side of the base section 55. Preferably, the base section 55 is made of a thicker material than the holding section 57. Accordingly, the base section 55 is stiffer or less elastic than the holding section 57.
[0202] The holding section 57 is a folded piece of paper, wherein the holding section 57 is attached to the base section 55, in particular glued to the base section 55. The holding section 57 is shaped such that it forms a cavity 58. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 13, the cavity 58 extends away from the viewer, i.e., into the image plane. The cavity 58 is large enough to accommodate at least one bristle section 2 of an interdental brush head 1. In the illustrated embodiment, the cavity 58 can accommodate multiple bristle sections 2. Since the bristle sections 2 of the interdental brush head 1 are arranged in the cavity 58, the bristle sections 2 of the interdental brush heads 1 are protected by the holding section 57 from environmental influences, in particular from external contamination.
[0203] The holding section 57 has a plurality of passages 59 on its sides. Each passage 59 is designed such that the connecting section 7 and / or the bristle section 2 of an interdental brush head 1 can be inserted through the passage 59 under the resistance of the holding section 57. The respective interdental brush head 1 is inserted into a corresponding passage 59 such that the bristle section 2 of the interdental brush head 1 is arranged in the cavity 58. At the same time, the connecting section 7 of the interdental brush head 1 is releasably clamped in the passage 59. This means that the interdental brush head 1 can be pulled out of the holding section 57 by a user when the user wishes to use the interdental brush head 1. Due to the plurality of passages 59, the holding section 57 can accommodate or hold a plurality of interdental brush heads 1 according to the aforementioned functionality.
[0204] Fig. 14 shows a top view of an insert 54 of a second embodiment of the packaging 50. The outer shell 51 of the second embodiment of the packaging 50 essentially corresponds to the outer shell 51 of the first embodiment, although the dimensions may vary. Preferably, the outer shell 51 of the second embodiment of the packaging 50 is somewhat larger than the outer shell 51 of the first embodiment of the packaging 50.
[0205] The second embodiment of the packaging 50 differs from the first embodiment in that the base portion 55 of the insert 54 has a greater material thickness than the base portion 55 according to the first embodiment of the packaging 50. In addition, the base portion 55 of the second embodiment has a first recess 56.1 and a second recess 56.2.
[0206] The first recess 56.1 is designed to accommodate an interdental brush 30 with an interdental brush finger grip 20 and an interdental brush head 1. Furthermore, the first recess 56.1 is designed to accommodate a closure cap 40. The first recess 56.1 is shaped such that the interdental brush 30 and the closure cap 40 can be clamped in the first recess 56.1. The interdental brush finger grip 20, the interdental brush head 1, and the closure cap 40 are the interdental brush finger grip 20, the interdental brush head 1, and the closure cap 40 according to the above explanations.
[0207] The second recess 56.2 forms a passage for the holding section 57. In the holding section 57 of the second embodiment of the packaging 50, several interdental brush heads 1 are also releasably clamped in the holding section 57. The interdental brush heads 1 arranged in or on the holding section 57 can be used by the user as replacement interdental brush heads 1.
