Description

[0001] The invention relates to a ventilation device for building services, comprising a housing, at least one supply air and / or exhaust air duct arranged in the housing for guiding a supply air or exhaust air flow through the housing, at least one radial fan arranged in the supply air and / or exhaust air duct with backward-curved blades for generating the supply air or exhaust air flow, and at least one differential pressure sensor arranged within the housing, which is configured to detect pressure conditions at at least two measuring points in the housing, on the basis of which a supply air or exhaust air volume flow flowing through the supply air and / or exhaust air duct is controlled. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for assembling or maintaining a ventilation device.

[0002] Ventilation units for building services are known in the prior art, in particular residential ventilation units, which are used to ventilate and extract rooms in buildings. Such ventilation units, in particular, ensure a controlled exchange of air in the rooms, with indoor air being replaced with fresh outside air either continuously or alternately at predetermined intervals. The ventilation units have an air-conducting connection between the room or rooms in the building and an outside area of the building. Ventilation units are known which have a combined supply air and exhaust air duct for guiding the supply air or exhaust air flow through the housing. Other ventilation units have a supply air and exhaust air duct, each formed separately in the housing, for guiding the supply air and exhaust air flow through the housing.

[0003] Particularly efficient ventilation units, especially residential ventilation units, use radial fans with backward-curved blades to generate the supply or exhaust air flow within the ventilation unit. Due to the minimal air deflection, which results in lower shock losses, these fans consume less power during operation. Furthermore, such efficient ventilation units feature constant volume flow control, ensuring the required volume flow can be provided despite changing operating conditions, such as increasing filter contamination or system-related influences, such as additional accessories such as silencers or pipe lengths adapted to the installation situation.

[0004] However, constant volume flow control cannot be achieved on radial fans with backward-curved blades using the radial fan characteristic field otherwise used. On such radial fans, volume flow control is typically controlled by differential pressure measurement. During differential pressure measurement, pressures in the housing are recorded at at least two measuring points using a differential pressure sensor. The resulting differential pressure, which is preferably proportional to the volume flow in the supply air or exhaust air duct, serves as the control variable for the supply air or exhaust air volume flow flowing through the supply air and / or exhaust air duct. To accurately measure the differential pressure, it is necessary to position the differential pressure sensor used in a defined manner to avoid any influences such as assembly tolerances that could adversely affect the measurement result.Furthermore, it is also crucial that such a differential pressure sensor is protected from any particles carried in the supply or exhaust air flow, such as dust or moisture, in order to keep deviations in the pressure measurement as small as possible.

[0005] The invention was therefore based on the object of avoiding any disadvantages that may occur when measuring the differential pressure in a ventilation device and, in particular, of demonstrating a ventilation device for building services, in particular a residential ventilation device, as well as a method for mounting or maintaining a ventilation device, on or by means of which the mounting of the differential pressure sensor is simplified, despite a continued reliable and, above all, precise differential pressure measurement, wherein, in particular, the differential pressure sensor can be easily removed or replaced if necessary.

[0006] The invention solves the underlying problem according to a first aspect by a ventilation device for domestic technology of the aforementioned type with the features of claim 1. In particular, the ventilation device is characterized in that the housing is formed from at least a first housing part and a second housing part corresponding to the first housing part and forming a connecting region, wherein the differential pressure sensor is arranged in the connecting region of the first and second housing parts in a receiving space defined by at least one of the housing parts and unaffected by the supply air or exhaust air flow.

[0007] The invention here follows the approach of arranging the differential pressure sensor directly in the connecting area between two housing parts forming the housing, instead of at any arbitrary location within the housing, in a receiving space not directly influenced by the supply or exhaust air flow. This primarily protects the differential pressure sensor and, ideally, is arranged in the housing unaffected by the supply or exhaust air flow and any particles entrained therein. The receiving space for the differential pressure sensor is preferably designed as a recess directly adjacent to the connecting area in which the two housing parts are in direct or indirect contact with one another. Although the receiving space for the differential pressure sensor is preferably unaffected by, or not directly subjected to, the volume flow flowing through the supply and / or exhaust air tract, it does have a pressure-conducting connection to the supply and / or exhaust air tract. This ensures essentially continuous, stable pressure conditions within the receiving space for the differential pressure sensor. The differential pressure sensor can, for example, be mounted on a bracket formed in the receiving space.

[0008] Preferably, the volume flow generated by the radial fan within the supply air and / or exhaust air tract is controlled or adjusted on the basis of the pressure conditions detected by the differential pressure sensor at the two measuring points in the housing by means of a control device on the ventilation unit that is connected to the differential pressure sensor and the radial fan in a signal-conducting manner.

[0009] The housing space for the differential pressure sensor preferably has a connection to a section of the supply air or exhaust air duct carrying the supply air or exhaust air flow. Thus, a first measuring point is designed in the housing space for detecting the pressure using the differential pressure sensor, in which a lower pressure is measured compared to the ambient pressure, but which is tapped in a flow-calmed area of the housing, which is not influenced by flow effects or turbulence. This achieves a sufficiently large pressure difference to a second measuring point of the differential pressure sensor, at which the pressure in the supply air or exhaust air flow with maximum flow is preferably tapped. The differential pressure sensor housed within the housing space is therefore only connected to a measuring line at one of its measuring connections, which is then routed to the other (second) measuring point to transmit the required differential pressure.Based on the sufficiently large pressure difference, precise control of the volume flow at the radial fan is achieved.

[0010] A further development of the invention provides that the receiving space for the differential pressure sensor is arranged above a receiving space for the radial fan, which are preferably formed in different housing parts. By arranging the differential pressure sensor above the receiving space for the radial fan, the fan is positioned at a higher point in the housing, so that a measuring line led towards the differential pressure sensor is laid upwards. Any condensate forming within the housing does not reach the differential pressure sensor via the lines, but is guided away from the sensor. The receiving space for the differential pressure sensor preferably forms a cavity on the upper (second) housing part that is closed at the top and can only be reached from the underside of the second housing part. The receiving space for the radial fan is preferably formed in the lower (first) housing part.

[0011] In a further embodiment, the connecting area between the first and second housing parts is formed exactly above the radial fan arranged in the housing. By designing the connecting area directly above the receiving space for the radial fan, a structurally simple separation of the housing of the ventilation device is achieved. In particular, the completion of the individual housing parts with the components to be equipped with them is simplified. Access to the receiving space for the differential pressure sensor is from the underside of the upper (second) housing part. The differential pressure sensor is therefore arranged directly above the radial fan. In one embodiment, the holding part, which is arranged in the connecting area of the housing parts, can, for example, have direct contact with air-conducting sections of the receiving space accommodating the radial fan or of the radial fan itself.

[0012] According to a preferred embodiment of the ventilation device, the differential pressure sensor is arranged on a holding part which is separate from the housing parts and is accommodated in the connecting area between the first and second housing parts. Instead of arranging the differential pressure sensor directly on a housing part, it is placed on a separate component. In the event of maintenance, the differential pressure sensor can be easily removed from the holding part in the connecting area between the housing parts of the ventilation device. The differential pressure sensor is accommodated on the holding part in such a way that it protrudes into the special receiving space defined by at least one of the housing parts and is thus still accommodated safely and, above all, protected in the fan housing. The holding part is arranged between the first and second housing parts, with regions of the holding part preferably being in contact with or connected to both the first and second housing parts.

[0013] Preferably, the holding part for the differential pressure sensor is provided as a separating part for at least regions of the housing parts of the housing that are to be joined together. The holding part thus directly separates regions of the otherwise interconnected housing parts from one another, with the housing parts acting on the holding part preferably from opposite sides. In a preferred embodiment, the holding part, together with the differential pressure sensor arranged thereon, is held in position by the housing parts acting on it. Preferably, the housing parts in the connecting region have corresponding surface sections that correspond to the holding part and define the position of the holding part in the connecting region relative to the housing parts. In addition, the installation / maintenance of the ventilation unit is simplified because the holding part with the differential pressure sensor attached to it is mounted in the correct position thanks to the predefined alignment.

[0014] A further development of the ventilation device provides that the holding part has a substantially flat surface element extending along the connection area, which has one or more recesses that cooperate with the supply air or exhaust air duct in the housing. The holding part, which in one embodiment extends only over a relatively small section in the connection area, can, in an alternative embodiment, extend between the first and second housing parts up to the outer dimensions of the housing formed by the housing parts. In particular, the surface element of the holding part has specially designed material projections or shaped recesses on its opposite sides, which only allow a predetermined installation position of the holding part together with the differential pressure sensor on, for example, the lower (first) housing part. The upper (second) housing section is placed on top of the lower housing section and the retaining element resting on it. The surface element has recesses, for example, that correspond to the supply or exhaust air ducts running through the housing.

[0015] According to a preferred development, the recess(es) have / have a material web protruding approximately perpendicularly from the surface element, which web is preferably aligned with the wall of the supply air or exhaust air duct. Thus, the transition between the housing parts and the retaining part arranged therebetween is designed to be seamless in the area of the supply air and / or exhaust air duct, which promotes trouble-free guidance of the supply air or exhaust air flow in the supply air and / or exhaust air duct. Preferably, the material web protrudes on both sides of the surface element in the area of a recess. The material web also engages in recesses formed on the housing parts in the area of the supply air and / or exhaust air ducts.Preferably, the housing parts and the holding part for the pressure sensor are connected to one another in a materially bonded manner, so that a seal is created in the connection area of the components that are in direct contact with one another (first and second housing parts and holding part).

[0016] Preferably, the holding part comprises a receiving section for the differential pressure sensor, on which the differential pressure sensor is reversibly and detachably mounted. This simplifies the assembly and disassembly of the differential pressure sensor on the holding part itself and on a housing of the ventilation unit that accommodates the holding part together with the differential pressure sensor.

[0017] According to a preferred embodiment of the ventilation device, the receiving section has an elastically deformable locking part that can be brought into a holding operative connection with the differential pressure sensor, for a reversibly releasable positive connection of the differential pressure sensor to the receiving section. Providing an elastically deformable locking part, for example a spring or snap hook, on the receiving section provides a structurally simple way of implementing a reversibly releasable locking of the differential pressure sensor to the holding part, in particular to its receiving section. The differential pressure sensor can be released from the receiving section on the holding part by moving the locking part from its locked position, in particular without the need for tools. The receiving section preferably has an insertion area and a locking area for the sensor. The locking area for the differential pressure sensor, in particular for the circuit board accommodating the differential pressure sensor, preferably runs parallel to the surface element of the holding part. The locking area and the insertion area for inserting the differential pressure sensor into the receiving section are aligned at an angle in the range of approximately 100 to approximately 170 degrees to each other.

[0018] According to a preferred development, the differential pressure sensor has at least two measuring connections, with only one of the measuring connections being connected in an air-conducting manner to a measuring line that extends, in particular, into the intake area of the radial fan. Due to the protected accommodation of the differential pressure sensor in a flow-calmed area above the radial fan, one measuring connection taps the pressure directly in the accommodation chamber. The other measuring connection is coupled to a measuring line that extends into the intake area of the radial fan and records the static pressure there, which is reduced compared to the pressure in the accommodation chamber. From the determined differential pressure, the volume flow generated by the radial fan is determined and, if necessary, adjusted or controlled based on other factors and operating conditions that must be taken into account, such as the fan speed.By arranging the differential pressure sensor directly above the radial fan, the measuring line used to measure the pressure in the intake area of the radial fan can have an advantageously short line length, which minimizes inaccuracies in the measurement of the pressure conditions in the housing.

[0019] In one embodiment of the invention, the measuring line, which runs from one measuring connection on the differential pressure sensor to the intake area of the radial fan, is routed through a recess in the holding part for the differential pressure sensor. This prevents constriction or kinking, which would lead to pressure losses in the measuring line and thus to falsified measurement results, especially if the measuring line is designed as a flexible hose.

[0020] According to one embodiment, at least one of the housing parts is made of at least partially foamed plastic, in particular expanded polystyrene (EPS) or expanded polypropylene. Preferably, the entire housing, including its first and second housing parts, is made of a foamed plastic. The multi-part design of the housing simplifies its manufacture, in particular the formation of the supply and / or exhaust air ducts or the receiving spaces for the differential pressure sensor and the radial fan in the housing parts. Furthermore, the required recesses or elevations for the retaining part interacting with the housing parts can be produced in a simplified manner on corresponding surfaces forming the connecting area of the housing parts.

[0021] According to a second aspect, the object underlying the invention is achieved by a method for assembling a ventilation device, in particular a ventilation device according to claim 1.In particular, the method is characterized by the following steps: providing a housing consisting of at least two housing parts and at least one differential pressure sensor; electrically connecting the differential pressure sensor to a control of the ventilation device using at least one connecting cable; joining the two housing parts to one another, wherein a receiving space is formed for the differential pressure sensor, which is unaffected by the supply air and / or exhaust air flow and defined by at least one of the housing parts, and positioning the differential pressure sensor in the receiving space relative to one of the housing parts in the connecting region of the housing parts to one another, preferably using a holding part to be arranged in the connecting region, on which holding part the differential pressure sensor is received, in particular in a reversibly detachable manner.

[0022] In its own right, the invention, according to the second aspect, proposes a method for assembling a ventilation device which is significantly simplified compared to known methods by arranging the differential pressure sensor in the connecting region between the housing consisting of two housing parts. The differential pressure sensor can be arranged, in particular without tools, in the connecting region between the first and second housing parts using a holding part which accommodates the differential pressure sensor. The electrical connection of the differential pressure sensor takes place before the differential pressure sensor is positioned on the housing part and preferably before the housing parts are joined. The holding part is simply placed onto the surfaces on the lower housing part forming the connecting region by bringing it into contact with receptacles formed on at least one housing part, in particular the lower (first) housing part, and is positioned thereon. The two housing parts are joined, preferably by means of a material-to-material connection, in particular by gluing them together. The differential pressure sensor is then inserted into the joined housing. Assembly can be carried out ideally, or at least almost, without the use of tools, and positioning the differential pressure sensor using the retaining part on the housing also prevents incorrect assembly of the differential pressure sensor. According to one embodiment of the method, only one measuring connection on the differential pressure sensor is preferably provided with a measuring line, which is routed to the intake area of the radial fan.

[0023] According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a method for maintaining a ventilation device, in particular a ventilation device according to claim 1. In particular, the method is characterized by the following steps: making the interior of a housing consisting of at least two housing parts joined together accessible; removing a differential pressure sensor from the connecting region of the two housing parts, preferably removing the differential pressure sensor from a holding part arranged in the housing, on which the differential pressure sensor is received, in particular in a reversibly detachable manner; and at least replacing the defective differential pressure sensor with a new differential pressure sensor. The holding part is preferably arranged in the connecting region of the two housing parts. The removal of the differential pressure sensor on the holding part is preferably carried out by mechanically decoupling the differential pressure sensor from the holding part, in particular by removing a reversibly detachable positive connection between the differential pressure sensor and an elastically deformable locking part on the holding part, and electrically decoupling the differential pressure sensor from a control system of the ventilation unit by disconnecting a connecting cable from the differential pressure sensor. The reversibly detachable receptacle of the differential pressure sensor in the housing, in particular on the holding part, which is arranged in the connection area of the housing consisting of at least two housing parts, significantly simplifies the maintenance of a ventilation unit. The differential pressure sensor can be detached from the holding part without tools thanks to the positive connection, which can preferably be released by hand, and can be replaced with a new, intact differential pressure sensor in the event of a defect.

[0024] In yet another aspect, the invention relates to the use of a differential pressure sensor arranged on a holding part, which is arranged in a connecting region of a housing consisting of at least two housing parts, for detecting pressure conditions in a ventilation device in building services, in particular in a residential ventilation device. With the inventive use, in particular of a differential pressure sensor reversibly arranged on a holding part, a ventilation device in building services can be easily equipped with a differential pressure sensor. With the aid of this, the pressure conditions at at least two measuring points within the ventilation device can then be detected in a simple and reliable manner and, on the basis of these, a resulting volume flow in a supply air and / or exhaust air tract in the housing can be determined and, if necessary, adjusted.

[0025] The methods according to the invention, as well as the use according to the invention, utilize the same advantages as the ventilation device according to the invention of the first aspect. The preferred embodiments and further developments described for the first aspect are also simultaneously preferred embodiments of the methods according to the invention and the use, and vice versa, provided they do not fundamentally contradict each other. Therefore, to avoid repetition, reference is made to the above explanations in this regard.

[0026] The invention is described in more detail below using a preferred embodiment of a ventilation device with reference to the attached figures. Herein: Fig. 1 is a schematic spatial view of a ventilation device according to the invention in section; Fig. 2 is a schematic view of the ventilation device according to Fig. 1used differential pressure sensor; Fig. 3 a perspective view of a differential pressure sensor used in the connection area of the housing parts of the ventilation unit according to Fig. 1 arranged holding part; Fig. 4 an enlarged, schematic sectional view of a receiving section on the holding part according to Fig. 3 ; Fig. 5 a further schematic, spatial partial view of the ventilation device according to the invention according to Fig. 1 , and Fig. 6 another spatial sectional view of the ventilation unit according to Fig. 1 .

[0027] Fig. 1shows a three-dimensional sectional view of a ventilation device 100 according to the invention, which is used for ventilating and / or extracting air from rooms in a building (not shown in detail). The ventilation device 100 has a housing 102 in which at least one supply air duct 104 and one exhaust air duct 106 run. A supply air flow 108 is directed into the building, in particular its rooms, through the supply air duct 104, and an exhaust air flow 110 is directed from the rooms to the outside of the building through the exhaust air duct.

[0028] The housing 102 is constructed in several parts and comprises a first housing part 112 and a second housing part 114. The first housing part 112 forms a lower housing part, and the second housing part 114 forms the upper housing part of the ventilation unit 100. A radial fan 116 is arranged in the supply air line 104 of the housing 102, in particular a section of the supply air line 104 in the first housing part 112, and has a fan wheel 118 with backward-curved blades 120. Such a radial fan 116 with backward-curved blades 120 is used for the efficient generation of a volume flow in modern ventilation units.

[0029] The only partially shown exhaust air line 106, in the form of a bypass duct that can be fluidly coupled to the exhaust air line 106, is also assigned a radial fan (not shown in detail) for generating a volume flow within the exhaust air line 106 of the ventilation unit 100. The radial fan arranged in the exhaust air line 106 also has a fan wheel with backward-curved blades. The radial fan arranged in the exhaust air line 106 is identical to the radial fan 116 arranged in the supply air line 104 or is arranged in a similar form in the first housing part 112.

[0030] The radial fan 116 is arranged in a receiving space 122 in the first, lower housing part 112. The receiving space 122 and the radial fan 116 are formed or arranged directly below a connecting region 124 separating the first housing part 112 and the second housing part 114 from one another. The connecting region 124 separates the first and second housing parts 112, 114 from one another along a substantially horizontal plane E.

[0031] Furthermore, a differential pressure sensor 128 is arranged within the housing 102, in particular in a receiving space 126, which is positioned near or in the connecting region 124 of the first and second housing parts 112, 114. The differential pressure sensor 128 is configured to detect pressure conditions at at least two measuring points 132, 132', wherein a supply air or exhaust air volume flow flowing through the supply air line 104 and / or the exhaust air line 106 is adjusted or controlled based on the pressures detected at the measuring points 132, 132'. The supply air or exhaust air volume flow is adjusted in particular by influencing the speed of the radial fan 116. The radial fan 116 has a drive device (not shown in detail) in the form of an electric motor for this purpose.

[0032] The receiving space 126 accommodating the differential pressure sensor 128 is arranged within the housing 102 in such a way that it is unaffected by the supply air or exhaust air flow 108, 110. However, the receiving space 126 for the differential pressure sensor 128 has a connection to a section of the supply air or exhaust air line 104, 106 carrying the supply air or exhaust air flow 108, 110.

[0033] The receiving space 126 for the differential pressure sensor 128 is arranged above the receiving space 122 for the radial fan 116, wherein both receiving spaces 122, 126 are formed in different housing parts 112, 116. As can be seen from Fig. 1 As can also be seen, the connecting area 124 is located exactly above the radial fan 116 arranged in the housing 102.

[0034] Fig. 2shows an embodiment of the differential pressure sensor 128 used in the receiving space 126, which is arranged on a printed circuit board 130, also referred to as a circuit board. The differential pressure sensor 128 has two measuring connections 134, 136. By arranging the differential pressure sensor 128 within the flow-calmed receiving space 126, a pressure measurement can be performed directly on site in the receiving space 122 using the measuring connection 134. A first measuring point 132 is thus located within the receiving space 126, with the measuring connection 134 precisely detecting the static pressure present in the receiving space 126.

[0035] In the embodiment shown here, the differential pressure sensor 128 is arranged on a holding part 128 that is separate from the housing parts 112, 114 and is received in the connecting area 124 between the first and second housing parts 112, 114. The holding part 138 functions as a kind of separating part between the housing parts 112, 114 of the ventilation unit 100. The holding part 128 separates at least regions of mutually facing surfaces of the housing parts 112, 114 to be joined.

[0036] As from Fig. 3As can be seen, the holding part 138 has a substantially planar surface element 140 extending along the connecting region 124. The surface element 140 defines the connecting region 124 and has contact surfaces 142, 144 facing away from one another, which come into direct contact with the first and second housing parts 112, 114. Recesses 146, 148 are formed on the surface element 140, which correspond to the supply air and exhaust air ducts 104, 106 in the housing 102. Material webs 150, 152 projecting approximately perpendicularly from the surface element extend along the entire circumference of the recesses 146, 148. In the embodiment shown here, as in connection with Fig. 1 As can be seen, these are aligned with the walls of the supply and exhaust air ducts 104, 106.

[0037] As can be seen from the Figures 3 and 4As can be seen, a receiving section 154 for the differential pressure sensor 128 is provided on the holding part 138, by means of which the differential pressure sensor 128, in particular its circuit board 130, is reversibly detachably received. In the embodiment shown here, the receiving section 154 has, for example, an insertion area 156, through which the circuit board 130 together with the differential pressure sensor 128 is inserted at an insertion angle α, relative to the surface element 140, in a range of 10° to 80°, preferably 45°.

[0038] The receiving section 154 further includes a locking region 158 for the circuit board 130 together with the differential pressure sensor 128, which is aligned approximately parallel to the surface element 140 of the holding part 138. The insertion region 156 on the receiving section 154 and the locking region 158 for the sensor extend at an alignment angle in the range of approximately 100° to approximately 170° to each other.

[0039] To lock the circuit board 130 of the differential pressure sensor 128 in the locking area 158, an elastically deformable locking part 160 is formed on the receiving section 154, which can be brought into a holding connection with the circuit board 130 and provides a reversibly releasable positive connection with the sensor. If necessary, the differential pressure sensor 128 can thus be easily and, above all, tool-free removed from the connection area of the housing parts 112, 114, in particular at the holding part 138, and replaced.

[0040] The Figures 5 and 6 show similar to Fig. 1 Sectional views of the ventilation unit 100, wherein the sections run along different planes of the housing 102 to illustrate the structure of the ventilation unit 100. At least one of the housing parts 112, 114 is at least partially formed from a foamed plastic, in particular expanded polystyrene or propylene.

[0041] Fig. 5shows the radial fan 116 in a completed configuration, so that in particular an intake area 162 of the radial fan 116 can be seen. As can be seen from Fig. 5 As can be seen, a measuring line 164 ends in the intake area 162 of the radial fan 116, which leads from the intake area 162 in the direction of the differential pressure sensor 128 ( Fig. 1 ). The end of the measuring line 164 assigned to the intake area 162 forms the second measuring point 132', spaced from the first measuring point 132, for detecting the pressure conditions in the housing 102.

[0042] Based on the pressures recorded in the receiving chamber 122 and at the intake area 162, the differential pressure measurement is carried out by the differential pressure sensor 128, wherein the volume flow at the radial fan 116 is adjusted by adjusting the speed of the fan wheel 118 based on the pressure difference, which is proportional to the volume flow generated by the radial fan 116.
