Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a unitized facade with a plurality of facade elements, each having a frame formed from profiles and at least one filling element held in the frame, wherein each facade element has a sealing profile on at least two sides on the outside, which serves to seal against an adjacent facade element, and to a method for assembling a unitized facade.
[0002] DE 20 2019 102 117 U1 discloses a unitized facade with individual facade elements that have a surrounding frame with at least one filling element and can be fixed to a building structure. During the assembly of such a unitized facade, seals are inserted into the individual facade elements, with saddle seals being provided between facade elements arranged one above the other, extending over several facade elements. The insertion of such saddle seals must therefore be carried out on site so that the saddle seal can be inserted into the upper side of several facade elements arranged next to one another. Although this improves sealing, assembly on site is complex and prone to errors. In addition, the saddle seal is stiffened by an additional profile, which complicates assembly. Sealing problems can arise, particularly in the gaps between facade elements or at junctions.
[0003] The object of the present invention is therefore to create a prefabricated facade with multiple facade elements that ensures improved sealing. Furthermore, an effective method for installing a prefabricated facade with optimized sealing is to be achieved.
[0004] This object is achieved with an element facade having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 11.
[0005] The element facade according to the invention comprises a plurality of facade elements, each of which has a frame formed from profiles and at least one filling element held in the frame. Each facade element has a sealing profile on at least two sides on the outside, which serves to seal against adjacent facade elements. The sealing profile is formed continuously in a corner region of the facade element by bending or a corner sealing piece. As a result, the sealing profile can provide at least an L-shaped seal against adjacent facade elements on two sides. The sealing profile is optionally formed integrally around the corner region by bending or two sections of the sealing profile are connected to one another via a corner sealing piece to improve the seal in the corner region.By attaching the sealing profile on two sides, the facade elements can be installed tightly together without the need for an additional saddle seal. This eliminates the need to install an additional saddle seal on site.
[0006] Preferably, the at least one sealing profile is fixed to only a single facade element and loosely attached to an adjacent facade element. Unlike a saddle seal, which extends over at least two adjacent facade elements, the sealing element is thus fixed to only a single facade element and, for sealing, rests loosely against the adjacent facade element, optionally against another sealing element or against a profile of the frame.
[0007] At a node of the unitized façade, four façade elements are preferably provided without a saddle seal being arranged on multiple façade elements. To achieve sealing at such a node, only the at least angularly arranged sealing profile is provided, with an angular sealing profile optionally being provided on each façade element at the node or only on one, two, or three of the four façade elements. The façade elements are preferably arranged in one plane, so that the panel-shaped filling elements are also arranged in one plane.
[0008] The sealing profile is preferably provided on at least three sides of the respective facade element and arranged in a C-shape or U-shape. Alternatively, the sealing profile is connected to a circumferential sealing frame, which is arranged around the frame on all four sides of the facade element.
[0009] The sealing profile is preferably designed as a hose seal with a hollow chamber, wherein the sealing profile engages with at least one foot in a groove of the frame and is fixed there. Optionally, the sealing profile can also be attached to a groove via two strip-shaped feet. The hose seal preferably has only a single hollow chamber and is thus designed to be particularly elastic. At least one outwardly projecting sealing lip can be formed on the hose seal. Preferably, two sealing lips are provided which project to different sides. This makes it possible to provide a seal on several levels with a single sealing profile, for example when two identical sealing profiles bear against one another.A first sealing level can then be provided by the first sealing lip, a second sealing level by the curved tubular sealing profile, and the third sealing level by the additional sealing lip. This improves the quality of the seal.
[0010] The sealing profile is preferably connected in a corner area via a corner seal with two arms, with each arm featuring a protruding insert that is inserted into a hollow chamber of the sealing profile. This creates a stable and reliable seal even in the corner area. Optionally, the arms of the corner seal can be flush with the sealing profile or extend less outward to prevent compression of the sealing profile in the longitudinal direction.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the unitized facade, a first sealing profile is attached to the upper side of a lower facade element, and a second sealing profile is attached to the upper side of the lower facade element, with the first sealing profile and the second sealing profile contacting each other. This ensures a reliable seal between the lower and upper facade elements. In a similar way, two facade elements arranged horizontally next to each other can also be sealed using one or two sealing profiles.
[0012] For particularly reliable sealing, at least two sealing profiles can be fixed at different levels on at least two sides of a facade element, preferably on three or four sides, so that several sealing levels are present from the outside to the inside.
[0013] In the method according to the invention for assembling a unitized facade on a building, facade elements are first provided with a frame formed from profiles, in which at least one filling element is held. These facade elements can, for example, be pre-assembled and only then delivered to the construction site. At least one sealing profile can be fixed to at least two sides of the facade element, wherein the sealing profile is bent over in a corner area of the facade element or is formed continuous by a corner sealing piece. The facade element pre-assembled in this way can then be delivered to the construction site and positioned next to a first additional facade element and above a second facade element, wherein the sealing profile rests loosely on the first and / or second additional facade element. The facade element is then fixed to the building to form a unitized facade. This assembly method allows the individual facade elements to be delivered pre-assembled to the construction site, where they then simply need to be positioned and secured to the building. There's no need to install a saddle seal between adjacent facade elements that extends across multiple facade elements. This simplifies the assembly of the prefabricated facade.
[0014] Preferably, a sealing frame made of sealing profiles is mounted on the facade element, in particular a sealing frame in which corner sealing pieces are present in the four corners, which connect the sealing profiles on different sides of the facade element.
[0015] The invention is explained in more detail below using two exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a facade element; Figure 2 shows a detailed view of two horizontally adjacent facade elements; Figure 3 shows a detailed view of two vertically adjacent facade elements; Figure 4 shows a view of a corner area of a facade element; Figure 5 shows a schematic view of an element facade according to the invention; Figure 6 shows a schematic view of a modified facade element; Figure 7 shows a detailed view of two horizontally adjacent facade elements of the Figure 6 , and Figure 8 a schematic view of a unit facade with facade elements of the Figure 6 .
[0016] A facade element 1 comprises a surrounding frame formed from profiles 2, in which a filling element 3, for example, an insulating glass pane or another plate-shaped filling element, is arranged. Movable window or door sashes can also be mounted in the frame.
[0017] A sealing profile 6 is arranged around the frame formed from profiles 2, forming a sealing frame 4. The sealing frame 4 comprises corner sealing pieces 5 at the four corners of the frame, each of which connects two sections of the sealing profile 6 to each other.
[0018] In Figure 2is a section through two profiles 2 of the frames of two adjacent facade elements 1, which are arranged next to one another in a horizontal direction. At least one sealing profile 6 is fixed to each profile 2, wherein in the illustrated embodiment, two sealing profiles 6 are provided in different planes. A first sealing profile 6 is fixed via a foot 7, which engages in a groove of the profile 2. A second sealing profile is fixed to the profile 2 via two feet 7. The sealing profiles 6 are designed as hose seals and comprise a hollow space that is compressed longitudinally. Further seals 12 are provided on an inner side of the profile 2.
[0019] In Figure 3is a sectional view through profiles 2 of two facade elements 1 arranged one above the other. Two sealing profiles 6 are fixed to the underside of the upper profile 2 of the frame, with one sealing profile 6 being fixed to the profile 2 via a foot 7 and the other sealing profile 6 via two feet 7. Each sealing profile 6 is designed as a hose seal with a hollow chamber 8, with two flexible sealing lips 9 protruding from the sealing profile 6 on opposite sides. If two sealing profiles 6 lie against one another, three sealing levels can be formed. Two sealing levels are formed by the contact of the two sealing lips 9, while a further sealing level is formed by the central section of the hose seal. By forming several sealing levels from the outside to the inside, reliable sealing can be ensured, even if adjacent facade elements 1 are not rigidly fixed to one another.
[0020] In Figure 4 A corner area of a facade element 1 is shown. The frame with the profiles 2 has an outwardly open groove into which the base 7 of the sealing profile 6 is inserted for fixing. The sealing profile 6 is designed identically on all sides of the facade element 1 and comprises a hollow chamber 8. Two flexible sealing lips 9 are formed on an outer side of the sealing profile 6. The sealing profile 6 has an outward height H relative to the frame, thus protruding from the profiles 2.
[0021] The corner seal 5 comprises two arms 11 arranged at an angle to each other, each of which has an insert 10 integrally formed on its end. The insert 10 can be inserted into the hollow chamber 8 of the sealing profile 6 to align the arm 11 relative to the sealing profile 6. The arms 11 then each extend in extension of the sealing profile 6.
[0022] Figure 5shows a unitized facade comprising a plurality of facade elements 1. A structural element 20 or a seal can be provided on the underside of the unitized facade, on which the lower facade elements 1 are arranged. Two vertical structural seals 21 can be provided on the sides, between which several facade elements 1 are mounted. The corners 22 of the unitized facade can be sealed by additional sealing measures. A structural seal 23 can also be provided on the top side of the unitized facade.
[0023] The facade elements 1 are installed sequentially, with the lower row of facade elements 1 being installed successively first, with adjacent facade elements 1 already sealed after installation via the sealing profiles 6. Once the lower row of facade elements 1 has been installed, a row of upper facade elements 1 can be installed without installing a saddle seal between the lower and upper facade elements 1. Joints of between 20 mm and 45 mm can be formed between the profiles 2 of the frame of adjacent facade elements 1, which are bridged by the sealing profiles 6. Despite the large joints, the sealing profiles 6 ensure a seal between the facade elements 1. In addition, such unitized facades can also absorb horizontal or vertical movements due to seismicity or temperature fluctuations.
[0024] In Figure 6A modified facade element 1' is shown that does not have a surrounding sealing frame 4, but only a sealing profile 6 on three sides of the frame formed from profiles 2. The sealing profiles 6 are connected to one another via corner sealing pieces 5, with end elements 15 being provided at the free ends of the sealing profiles 6, which prevent moisture from penetrating the hollow chamber 8 of the sealing profile 6. The sealing profile 6 is thus arranged in a C-shape around the frame of the facade element 1'.
[0025] In Figure 7 A horizontal section between adjacent facade elements 1' is shown. It can be seen that the profiles 2, unlike in Figure 2, separated from each other by only one sealing profile 6, which is attached to the profile 2 on the right side with one or two feet 7. The sealing profiles 6 rest loosely against the profile 2 of the left facade element 1' and thus ensure a seal. Instead of two sealing profiles 6 being attached to each other, only one sealing profile 6 is provided, which is fixed on one side.
[0026] A unit facade formed from facade elements 1' is in Figure 8 shown. The facade elements 1' each have a C-shaped sealing profile that surrounds the frame on three sides. For installation, a lower row of facade elements 1' is mounted first, before the upper facade elements 1' are positioned and secured one after the other. List of reference symbols
