Description

[0001] Mobile protective barrier

[0002] The present invention relates to a set of components for a mobile protective barrier for blocking a roadway selectively for multi-lane motor vehicles and a corresponding mobile protective barrier.

[0003] To increase security and protect against attacks, it is common practice to install roadblocks. Roadblocks are intended to prevent a motor vehicle from entering a protected area and causing damage. Temporary barriers are particularly common at large events, such as Christmas markets.

[0004] Furthermore, permanently installed barriers, preferably those that can be sunk into the ground, are known which can be extended from a ground surface when necessary to block entry into the protected area.

[0005] For the sake of completeness, barriers or mobile roller gates should also be mentioned, which offer at least a rudimentary way to block an entrance. Current security systems, such as concrete blocks, are difficult to adapt to local conditions. Furthermore, their heavy weight requires complex assembly and disassembly.

[0006] In addition, with the known mobile systems, access options for rescue and emergency vehicles are usually limited, and there is also no possibility for passers-by to escape from the secured area.

[0007] Against this background, the object of the invention is to provide an improved mobile protective barrier that allows for easy assembly and installation. In particular, it should allow pedestrians, cyclists, strollers, and wheelchair users to pass through, while preventing vehicles, especially multi-track vehicles, from breaking through.

[0008] The above object is achieved by a set of components for a mobile protective barrier for blocking a roadway selectively for multi-lane motor vehicles, comprising: at least two long cross connectors for placing on the roadway along a line transverse to the direction of travel of the motor vehicle to be blocked, with pipe sockets arranged at the ends that extend vertically upwards; at least two lever arms for placing on the roadway parallel to the direction of travel, with a plug-in sleeve arranged at each end of a lever arm, which can be pushed onto a pipe socket of a cross-connection support;and a bollard with a vertically upwardly projecting lever post and two plug-in pins arranged at the base, which can be inserted into the adjacent pipe sockets at the mutually facing ends of two adjacent cross-connecting beams in order to releasably connect the bollard to the two cross-connecting beams and the pushed-on lever arms, so that the bollard and the lever arms form an angle lever for levering the impacting motor vehicle. The above object is further achieved by a mobile protective barrier for blocking a roadway selectively for multi-lane motor vehicles, comprising: at least two cross-connecting beams for placing on the roadway along a line transverse to the direction of travel of the motor vehicle to be blocked, with pipe sockets arranged at the ends, which extend vertically upwards;at least two parallel lever arms, the plug-in sleeves of which are pushed onto adjacent pipe sockets of the two adjacent cross-connection beams; and a bollard with a vertically upwardly projecting lever post and two plug-in pins arranged at the base, which are inserted into the adjacent pipe sockets at the mutually facing ends of two adjacent cross-connection beams in order to detachably connect the bollard to the two cross-connection beams and the pushed-on lever arms, so that the bollard and the lever arms form an angle lever for levering the impacting motor vehicle.

[0009] At least two long cross-connecting beams allow a defined distance to be established between two bollards, so that a lane width can be established using the set of components that allows pedestrians, wheelchair users, strollers, and cyclists to pass, while effectively preventing multi-lane motor vehicles from passing. "Long" is understood in particular to mean that an extension along the line transverse to the direction of travel of the motor vehicle to be blocked is greater, preferably at least three times greater, than an extension parallel to the direction of travel of the motor vehicle to be blocked. The pipe sockets arranged at the ends allow for a technically simple, high-strength, detachable connection between a lever arm, a cross-connecting beam, and a plug pin at the base of a bollard. The socket of a cantilever arm thus forms an outer enclosure for the connection, in particular the pipe socket. Stability is increased by a plug-in pin at the base of a barrier bollard that can be inserted into the pipe socket. Two plug-in pins located at the base, each of which can be inserted into the pipe sockets of two adjacent cross-connection supports, enable an effective connection between the cross-connection supports. A connection to another barrier bollard can also be established via the cross-connection supports. This allows for the creation of a protective barrier of any length. A component set can be provided that offers a variable option for erecting mobile protective barriers in different lengths. The detachable connectability of the individual elements of the component set enables technically simple assembly and disassembly. In particular, the individual elements of the component set can each be attached individually to create the mobile protective barrier and preferably each have a weight of less than 30 kg.

[0010] In an advantageous embodiment, the cross-connection supports each comprise a base plate made of flat steel. This allows for a cost-effective, robust and stable cross-connection support for the component set.

[0011] Advantageously, the entire lever arms are made of high-strength cast steel, with the length of the lever arms being several times their width and / or thickness. In this case, length refers in particular to the extension in the direction of impact. This allows for the formation of a highly stable lever arm for levering the impacting motor vehicle. In particular, the overall flat design of the lever arm ensures that the motor vehicle passes over the lever arm at least in sections, thus exerting a sufficiently high leverage effect on the motor vehicle.

[0012] Particularly preferably, the lever arm has a yield strength of 700 MPa and is made of "Prevent 700" cast steel with its special properties from FWH Stahlguss GmbH. In a further advantageous embodiment, the bollard has two parallel lever posts connected to the two plug-in pins via an intermediate piece. Two parallel lever posts connected to the two plug-in pins via an intermediate piece enable technically simple production of the bollard. In particular, two parallel lever posts can increase the stability of the bollard in the event of an impact.

[0013] Particularly preferably, the intermediate piece of the bollard has two plates that run diagonally at a distance from one another and connect both the plug-in pins and the lever posts. Additionally or alternatively, the lever posts are arranged offset from the plug-in pins in the direction of approach. The offset arrangement of the lever posts can assist a tipping movement of the protective barrier on impact. When the motor vehicle impacts, initial contact occurs with one or more bollards at a height of approximately 0.3 to 0.7 m above the ground, depending on the type of motor vehicle and in particular the bumper height of the motor vehicle. The bollards are tilted in the direction of approach and the connection between the lever posts and the lever arms creates a leverage effect to lever up the impacting motor vehicle. This tipping and levering is promoted by the offset arrangement of the lever posts. The advantageous connection between the plug pin and the lever post by means of two parallel plates enables a weight-optimized and stable connection, which allows the offset arrangement described above.

[0014] It is understood that plates can be understood to mean, in particular, rolled metal products, such as sheets and, in particular, heavy plates.

[0015] Particularly preferably, the component set comprises a floor mat that surrounds a lever arm at least in sections and is flush with the lever arm and the cross-connecting beam to form a level passageway. The flush passageway created by the floor mat can reduce the risk of falling when passing through the protective barrier. Comfort and safety for pedestrians, cyclists, etc. are increased.

[0016] In a preferred embodiment, the component set comprises a ramp that can be attached to the bollard, in particular inserted into a lever post, to increase the height of the bollard and enhance the visibility of the protective barrier. The increased visibility of the protective barrier prevents accidental collisions with the bollards when passing and can act as a deterrent to potential perpetrators planning to breach the protective barrier.

[0017] Advantageously, the component set can comprise a short end piece for placing on the roadway adjacent to a long cross-connecting beam, wherein the short end piece comprises a pipe socket that corresponds to the pipe sockets of the long cross-connecting beams. In other words, this can form one end of the protective barrier, whereby the end piece can be used to adjust the height so that the two plug-in pins and the bollard can be inserted essentially straight. The stability of the protective barrier can be increased, particularly in an edge area.

[0018] Advantageously, the lever arms have a first mandrel, preferably a second mandrel and a third mandrel on the socket, wherein the mandrel extends away from the socket parallel to the direction of approach. By means of one and particularly preferably three mandrels, the tipping effect on impact and consequently the leverage can be improved. In particular, a mandrel enables a weight- and cost-optimized option for supporting the tipping movement. Preferably, the second mandrel and the third mandrel are each arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to the direction of approach adjacent to the first mandrel and extend obliquely away from the socket in the direction of approach. In a further advantageous embodiment, the cross-connection supports and the plates of the bollards are made of high-strength steel with a yield strength in the range of 600 to 800 MPa.It is advantageous to use hot-formed seamless tubes for the plug pins and lever posts made of a high-strength material with a yield strength in the range of 670 to 870 MPa, particularly preferably with high fracture toughness. The lever posts and plug pins can be made, in particular, from FineXcell 770 seamless tubes from Vallourec Deutschland GmbH, which have a yield strength of 770 MPa. Manufacturing from high-strength steel in the range of the aforementioned yield strengths can counteract plastic deformation of the protective barrier during an impact. This ensures that the leverage effect can act on the vehicle.

[0019] Particularly preferably, the cross-connection supports, the lever arms, and the bollard are each manufactured as a single piece. This allows for high fracture toughness and also enables cost-effective production of the elements.

[0020] Advantageously, the two parallel lever arms of the mobile protective barrier are each connected to each other at their free ends by a connecting piece. This further increases the stability of the protective barrier. The free end is, in particular, the end of a lever arm facing away from the plug-in sleeve. The connecting piece preferably has a threaded bore, with each lever arm having a corresponding bore, so that the connecting piece can be screwed onto two adjacent lever arms.

[0021] Particularly preferably, the pipe sockets of the cross-connection supports, the sockets of the lever arms, and the plug-in pins of the barrier bollard each have corresponding cross-bores for inserting a crossbar. The crossbar is preferably designed in the form of a plug-in pin with a screw-on nut. It is understood that other crossbars known in principle from the prior art are conceivable. This can further increase the stability of the protective barrier. In particular, it can effectively prevent a barrier bollard from being dismantled by simply pulling it out. The safety of using such a protective barrier is increased.

[0022] The disclosed teaching can therefore create an easily transportable and manageable mobile system for protecting the civilian population at events and in public places. In particular, at least one of the following advantages and / or one of the following embodiments can be achieved with the disclosed teaching:

[0023] A lightweight modular protection system can be created against vehicle attacks, which is made of high-strength steel and can be easily assembled and disassembled by two people without lifting equipment, as well as being easy to transport and space-saving to store.

[0024] The plug-in connection allows flexible adaptation to any geometry of the venue.

[0025] A system can be created with few sharp corners and edges or protruding screws to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a panic attack in the area to be protected. In particular, the risk of injury when passing through the protective barrier can be reduced.

[0026] A protective barrier can be created that allows easy and simple passage for pedestrians, cyclists, strollers and wheelchair users, so that a quick and safe evacuation is possible in the event of a rescue or panic.

[0027] A protective barrier can be created that effectively prevents vehicles from breaking through, both through the protective barrier itself and through damage to the vehicle itself. The protective barrier can be assembled quickly and manually thanks to the use of weight-optimized modules and connections. Preferably, each element of the component set weighs less than 30 kg.

[0028] It goes without saying that if necessary and for repetitive deployment locations, additional lateral or ground anchors are possible to further increase the stability of the protective barrier.

[0029] Furthermore, to increase security, a lock, particularly a padlock, can be provided to prevent unauthorized persons from dismantling the barrier. The lock preferably connects two or more elements of the component set, which may, in particular, have holes and / or tabs for this purpose. It is understood that special screws, for example, similar to a wheel lock, can also be used for this purpose. Furthermore, a cable in combination with a padlock can also be provided to connect several elements of the component set.

[0038] bollards, cross-connection beams and lever arms; and

[0039] Figures 9a-9c schematically show the mode of operation of a protective barrier according to the invention.

[0040] Figure 1 schematically shows a protective barrier 10 that can be constructed using a component set 11. The protective barrier 10 is composed of a total of three cross-connection supports 12, two end pieces 14, four bollards 16, eight lever arms 18, and four connecting pieces 20. Each cross-connection support 12 has a pipe socket at opposite ends. A plug-in sleeve (not shown in more detail) of a lever arm 18 can be slipped over each pipe socket, with a plug-in pin of a bollard 16 being insertable into the pipe socket.

[0041] A barrier bollard 16 has two plug-in pins for detachably connecting adjacent cross-connection supports 12. It is understood that a lever arm 18 is plugged onto each pipe socket of a cross-connection support 12 or an end piece 14, and a plug-in pin of a barrier bollard 16 is plugged in. An end piece has a pipe socket that corresponds to the pipe socket of a cross-connection support 12, so that a closure can be created at each end of the protective barrier 10 by an end piece 14. In the embodiment shown, two adjacent lever arms 18, in particular the lever arms 18 arranged on different cross-connection supports 12, are connected by a connecting piece 20. The connecting piece 20 is connected, preferably screwed, to the two lever arms 18 at an end facing away from the plug-in sleeve.A mandrel 22 is also arranged on the sockets of the lever arms 18, which supports a tilting movement of the protective barrier 10 in the event of an impact by a motor vehicle.

[0042] The lever arms 18 are preferably oriented in a direction of travel of the motor vehicle, with the cross-connection supports 12 arranged on the ground substantially perpendicular thereto, and the bollards 16 extending upwards away from the ground. In other words, the lever arms 18 are oriented in the x-direction, the cross-connection supports 12 in the y-direction, and the bollards 16 in the z-direction. The aforementioned components 12, 16, 18 preferably form a substantially right angle to one another.

[0043] The protective barrier 10 is easily passable for pedestrians, cyclists, strollers, and wheelchair users. Due to the spacing of the individual vertically erected bollards 16, which is determined by the cross-connecting beams 12, preferably no multi-lane motor vehicle can pass. This ensures that a motor vehicle attempting to pass the protective barrier 10 touches at least one, preferably two or more, of the bollards 16, thereby triggering a tilting movement of the protective barrier 10. The tilting movement of the protective barrier 10 exerts a leverage effect on the motor vehicle, damaging it and / or bringing it to a standstill. A connection between two adjacent bollards 16 is preferably established exclusively by means of a cross-connecting beam 12.

[0044] The weight of the individual elements of the component set is preferably less than 30 kg. This allows for quick and easy assembly without the need for lifting equipment such as cranes or forklifts. In particular, two workers are preferably sufficient to completely assemble the protective barrier 10. Thanks to the detachable plug-in connection of all elements of the component set, the protective barrier 10 can be stored in a space-saving manner when disassembled.

[0045] Figure 2 shows a variant of a protective barrier 10 according to the invention. Like reference numerals refer to like features and will not be explained again. In contrast to the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the embodiment according to Figure 2 comprises warning beacons 24 that can be inserted into lever posts of the bollards 16. For clarity, only two warning beacons 24 are shown in the figure. It is understood that preferably all lever posts are equipped with warning beacons 24.

[0046] Furthermore, the embodiment according to Figure 2 comprises a floor mat 26. The floor mat 26 is designed to enclose the lever arms 18 and to form a flat surface flush with the lever arms 18 and the cross-connecting supports 12, so that the risk of falling when passing the protective barrier 10 is reduced.

[0047] Figures 3a and 3b show a cross-connection support 12 in more detail, with Figure 3a being a side view and Figure 3b being a top view.

[0048] The cross-connection support 12 comprises a long base plate 28. Two pipe sockets 30 are arranged on the base plate 28 and extend upwardly from the base plate 28. The base plate 28 has an elongated shape with rounded corners. In particular, the long base plate 28 has a rectangular shape, with two closely spaced corners each connected by a semicircle.

[0049] Figures 4a and 4b show an end piece 14 in a manner analogous to Figures 3a and 3b. Unlike the cross-connection support 12, the end piece 14 comprises a short base plate 32 from which a pipe socket 30 extends. The pipe socket 30 is arranged centrally on the short base plate 32, with a width and a thickness of the short base plate 32 corresponding to the width and thickness of the long base plate 28. Only a length of the short base plate 32 is shorter than a length of the long base plate 28.

[0050] Figures 5a and 5b show a lever arm 18 in a manner analogous to Figures 3a and 3b. The lever arm 18 comprises a lever plate 34 on which a plug-in sleeve 36 is arranged. The plug-in sleeve 36 has an inner diameter corresponding to an outer diameter of the pipe socket 30; in particular, the plug-in sleeve 36 can be plugged onto the pipe socket 30.

[0051] In addition, an end profile 38 is incorporated into the lever plate 34 at an end opposite the plug-in sleeve 36.

[0052] Furthermore, on the plug-in sleeve 36, on the side opposite the end profile 38, three mandrels 22 are arranged, which extend downwards away from the plug-in sleeve 36 and have a substantially triangular shape.

[0053] Figures 6a and 6b show a connecting piece 20 in a manner analogous to Figures 3a and 3b. The connecting piece 20 has a connecting plate 40 with a rectangular base area. The connecting plate 40 has a side profile 42 at each of its two opposite ends, which corresponds to the end profile 38 of a lever arm 18, so that a lever arm 18 can be connected to another lever arm 18 by the connecting piece, wherein the lever plate 34 and the connecting plate 40 each form a substantially flat surface through the interaction of the end profiles 38 with the side profiles 42. Figures 7a to 7c schematically show a side profile, a front profile, and a top view of a bollard 16.

[0054] Figure 7a shows a side profile of a bollard 16. The bollard 16 has two plug-in pins 44, two lever posts 46, and a first plate 48 and a second plate 50. The first plate 48 and the second plate 50 connect the plug-in pins 44 to the lever posts 46 and are arranged substantially parallel to each other. In the figure, the two plates 48, 50 extend upward to the right. Consequently, the lever posts 46 are offset to the right and upward relative to the plug-in pins 44.

[0055] Figure 7b shows a front view of a bollard 16. This view clearly shows that the bollard 16 has two lever posts 46 and two plug pins 44. Furthermore, a recess is provided in the first plate 48, which is arranged above the second plate 50, to reduce the weight of the bollard 16.

[0056] Figure 7c shows the bollard 16 from above. From this view, the first plate 48 and the second plate 50 have an identical base area, with the base area each comprising a rectangle with rounded corners.

[0057] Figure 8 shows a connection of the individual elements of the component set of a protective barrier 10 in more detail. Like reference numerals refer to like features and will not be explained again. The plug-in pins 44, the pipe sockets 30, and the plug-in sleeves 36 have corresponding bores so that the plugged connection can be secured by crossbars 52. In the embodiment shown, a crossbar 52 comprises a screw with a nut. In other words, the individual components can be secured against accidental loosening by screwing them together after being plugged together. Furthermore, in the embodiment shown, triangular connections are formed between a plug-in sleeve of a lever arm 18 and the lever plate, which triangular connections also have bores so that two adjacent lever arms 18 can be connected by means of a crossbar 52. This crossbar 52 can also be anchored to the ground.

[0058] Figures 9a to 9c schematically show the mode of operation of a protective barrier 10 when a truck 54 attempts to break through the protective barrier 10.

[0059] In Figure 9a, the protective barrier 10 is shown in a highly simplified manner, with an approaching truck 54 being spaced from the protective barrier 10.

[0060] Figure 9b shows the situation a short time later, where the truck 54 has already partially driven onto the protective barrier 10 and touches the bollards with a bumper, initiating a tipping movement of the protective barrier 10.

[0061] In Figure 9c, the tilting movement of the protective barrier 10 has already progressed, so that the protective barrier 10 exerts a lever effect on the truck 54, which is levered upwards and thus prevented from breaking through and / or continuing to drive after breaking through the protective barrier 10.

[0062] The invention has been described in detail. A person skilled in the art will recognize that the following advantages can be achieved with the disclosed teachings. A protective barrier 10 can be created that offers a combination of permeability with effective protection measures against vehicle attacks. A protective barrier 10 can be created that enables simple assembly and space-saving storage, particularly due to the weight-optimized individual components of the component set. Furthermore, a highly flexible protective barrier 10 can be created that can be easily adapted to the conditions at the site of use. It is understood that the protective barrier 10 is preferably constructed from elements that are manufactured in one piece from high-strength steel and high-strength cast steel. In the claims, the words "comprising" and "with" do not exclude the presence of further elements. The undefined article "a" or "an" does not exclude the presence of a plurality.A single element or unit can perform the functions of several of the units mentioned in the patent claims.
