Description

[0001] Plaster sealing strips of the type mentioned above are known, for example, from EP 2 292 886 B1, DE 20 2009 010 042 U1 or EP 2 492 428 B1.

[0002] The disadvantage of the known plaster sealing strips is that covering agents must be provided to keep the expandable joint sealing tape (sealing strip) in its compacted (compressed) state.

[0003] A disadvantage of the plaster sealing strip according to EP 2 292 886 B1 is that, in addition to the covering material, retaining means must also be provided to secure the plaster sealing strip to the component (window or door frame). This requires considerable effort because the covering material must be removed before installing the plaster sealing strip, so that not only the joint sealing tape is exposed, but also the retaining means (adhesive strips, suction cups, etc.) for attaching the plaster sealing strip to the component are exposed.

[0004] A disadvantage of the plaster sealing strip known from EP 2 292 886 B1 is that the holding force of the holding means may only be so great that the plaster sealing strip detaches from the component and not from the building structure in the event of relative movements between the component and the building structure.

[0005] In the plaster finishing strip known from EP 1 793 061 B1, an expansion strip is held in a compressed state in a groove-shaped receiving space of the plaster finishing strip by a cover (in EP 1 793 061 B1, "lock-in area 22"). After inserting the plaster finishing strip between a component (window or door frame) and the edge of an opening in a building structure, the cover must be removed. Only then can the expansion strip fully develop its sealing effect.

[0006] The invention is based on the object of developing the known plaster sealing strip in such a way that neither covering means nor holding means are required.

[0007] This object is achieved with a plaster sealing strip having the features of claim 1.

[0008] Preferred and advantageous developments of the plaster sealing strip according to the invention are the subject of the subclaims.

[0009] In the plaster sealing strip according to the invention, the joint sealing tape is held in its compressed state exclusively by the special shape of the receiving space in which the joint sealing tape is accommodated. Special covering means that must be removed before or after installation of the plaster sealing strip are just as unnecessary in the invention as holding means and are therefore not provided.

[0010] In the plaster sealing strip according to the invention, the plaster sealing strip is secured to the component by gluing the joint sealing tape, which is still housed in the receiving space during the plaster sealing strip's installation. Only when relative movement occurs between the building structure and the component does the joint sealing tape, which is bonded to the component by adhesive, partially expand and retract from the receiving space. The joint sealing tape can then absorb the relative movement between the component and the building structure and thus fulfill its function of sealing a joint between the building structure and the component (for example, against the penetration of driving rain).

[0011] The plaster sealing strip according to the invention is fastened to the component (e.g. a frame of a window or a door) by gluing the joint sealing tape which is still accommodated in a receiving space of the plaster sealing strip.

[0012] In the position of use, the plaster sealing strip rests with its base body and a leg protruding from it on the building structure (masonry, possibly with insulation) in the area of an opening and is finally covered by plaster applied to the building structure (e.g. coarse plaster or fine plaster) on the outside, ie on its side facing away from the building structure.

[0013] If, for any reason (e.g., due to vibrations, shrinkage of plaster, and / or temperature fluctuations) relative movement occurs between the building structure and the component, the joint sealing tape connected to the component is partially pulled out of its housing in the plaster sealing strip and reliably bridges any resulting gap between the building structure and the component. This prevents the formation of cracks in the plaster because the plaster sealing strip does not detach from the building structure but remains connected to it via the joint sealing tape.

[0014] The specific shape of the groove forming the receiving space for the joint sealing tape is not crucial. What is essential is that the joint sealing tape is held in a compressed state in the receiving space solely by the shape of the groove forming the receiving space—i.e., without any covering material. This can be achieved, in particular, by making the opening of the groove narrower than the groove itself. This is especially the case with an undercut groove.

[0015] In a preferred embodiment, the lateral walls of the groove, formed for example by webs, are aligned such that their distance from one another at the mouth of the groove, i.e. on the open side of the groove, is smaller than in the groove itself.

[0016] The clear cross-section of the groove, for example, is essentially trapezoidal in shape. For example, the shape of a trapezoid is present when the groove, which forms the receiving space for the joint sealing tape, is bordered by two lateral ribs that form an acute angle with the groove base and converge toward the groove opening.

[0017] In a preferred embodiment of the plaster sealing strip according to the invention, it is advantageous that the joint sealing strip, when it has been partially pulled out of the receiving space, is held securely and in a form-fitting manner in the receiving space because the mouth is narrower than the groove itself.

[0018] If one of the webs, in particular the web which is arranged in the area of a plaster edge provided on the base body of the plaster sealing strip, can be separated from the base body, the expansion of the joint sealing strip is facilitated after the web has been separated.

[0019] In the plaster sealing strip according to the invention, the joint sealing tape, before it has been partially pulled out of the receiving space for whatever reason, is preferably received in the receiving space such that its outer surface is aligned with the opening of the groove forming the receiving space. In particular, the outer surface of the joint sealing tape is aligned with the free edges of the webs laterally delimiting the receiving space when the joint sealing tape is received in the receiving space.

[0020] The outer surface of the joint sealing tape is adhesive, for example, with a double-sided adhesive strip. The lateral edge of the adhesive strip can be positioned away from the free edge of the webs defining the receiving space. This means that the free edge of the webs is not covered by the adhesive strip.

[0021] This has the advantage that the double-sided adhesive strip only sticks to the outer free surface of the joint sealing tape, i.e. the surface of the joint sealing tape that is provided between the webs that laterally limit the groove, so that the movement of the joint sealing tape outwards during expansion is not hindered by the strip sticking to one or both webs.

[0022] Further details, features, and advantages of the plaster sealing strip according to the invention will become apparent from the following description of exemplary embodiments based on the drawings. It shows: Fig. 1 a first embodiment of the plaster sealing strip in section, Fig. 2 the embodiment of Fig. 1 in oblique view, Fig. 3 the embodiment of Fig. 1 and 2 with the joint sealing tape (partially) pulled out of the receiving space, Fig. 4 a second embodiment of the plaster sealing strip in section, Fig. 5 the embodiment of Fig. 4in oblique view, Fig. 6 the embodiment of Fig. 4 and 5 with the joint sealing tape (partially) pulled out of the receiving space and Fig. 7 a modified embodiment with a detachable web delimiting the receiving space.

[0023] A plaster sealing strip 1 according to the invention comprises a base body 2 with a base wall 3 and a plastering leg 4, to which a reinforcing mesh 6 is attached via a weld 5. Typically, the base wall 3 and the plastering leg 4 are at right angles to each other.

[0024] From one longitudinal edge of the plastering leg 4, on the side opposite the base wall 3, a web 7 extends, on which a plaster edge 8 is provided. A leg 9 protrudes from the plaster edge 8, to which a tear-off tab 11 is attached via a weakened line 10. An adhesive layer for attaching a protective film (not shown) can be applied to the tear-off tab 11 on its upper side, i.e., on the surface facing the plastering leg 4.

[0025] After the tear-off tab 11 has been removed, another plaster edge 23 is exposed.

[0026] A lip 12 is provided on the underside of the tear-off tab 11. The lip 12 enables the plaster sealing strip 1 to be installed straight and parallel to the component / structure.

[0027] On the side of the base wall 3 facing away from the plastering leg 4, a receiving space 15 is provided. A compacted joint sealing tape 16 is accommodated in the receiving space 15. The joint sealing tape 16 is held in a compressed state in the receiving space 15 because the receiving space is designed such that the joint sealing tape 16 cannot escape from the receiving space 15 of its own accord. In the illustrated embodiment, this is achieved in that the webs 17 and 18 laterally delimiting the receiving space 15 converge towards each other away from the base wall 3, so that the receiving space 15 essentially has the shape of a groove with a trapezoidal cross-section, i.e., a cross-sectional shape with a narrowed opening. The groove forming the receiving space 15 is, for example, undercut. The receiving space 15 and the joint sealing tape 16 accommodated therein extend in the longitudinal direction of the plaster sealing strip 1.

[0028] To make the joint sealing tape 16 adhesive, a double-sided adhesive tape 20 is applied to its free outer side. In the illustrated embodiment, the double-sided adhesive tape 20 covers exclusively the free outer surface of the joint sealing tape 16, which lies between the free edges of the lateral webs 17 and 18 of the receiving space 15.

[0029] The plaster sealing strip 1 is glued to an adjacent component (not shown) via the self-adhesive tape 20 (the adhesive surface of the joint sealing tape 16).

[0030] The web 18, which is located away from the leg 7 with the plaster edge 8, has an obliquely projecting lip 21 which, like the lip 12 on the tear-off tab 11, allows for precise installation of the plaster sealing strip 1. In Fig. 1In the embodiment shown, the free edge of the lip 21 protruding from the base wall 3 to the left is connected to the free edge of the web 18 via a strip 22, so that a substantially triangular cross-section is obtained.

[0031] If, when the plaster sealing strip 1 is installed, relative movements occur between the building structure and the component (window or door frame, etc.) due to vibrations, tensions, drying of the plaster or changes in the relative position due to temperature fluctuations, the joint sealing tape 16 adhered to the component is pulled out of the receiving space 15, as is the case, for example, in Fig. 3 This ensures that even in the event of relative movement between the component and the structure (masonry / insulation layer), a seal is maintained, since any gap (joint) that may form between the structure and the component is bridged by the joint sealing tape 16.

[0032] It should be noted that the Fig. 3 The shape shown of the joint sealing tape 16 partially protruding from the receiving space 15 is only exemplary and results from the fact that the joint sealing tape 16 can expand in all directions when it is at least partially pulled out of the receiving space 15.

[0033] The Fig. 4 to 6 The embodiment of the plaster sealing strip 1 according to the invention shown differs from that shown in the Fig. 1 to 3 shown embodiment exclusively by the fact that the Fig. 4 the lip 21 projecting from the left web 18 is not connected at its free edge to the free edge of the web 18.

[0034] Within the scope of the invention, an embodiment of the plaster sealing strip 1 is also considered in which the web 17 arranged in the region of the web 7 with the plaster edge 8 or the tear-off tab 11 can be removed, e.g., torn off, from the base body 2, in particular from the part of the base body 2 forming the plaster edge 8, after the plaster sealing strip 1 has been installed. To facilitate the separation of the web 17 arranged in the region of the plaster edge 8 and delimiting the receiving space 15 from the base body 2, the web 17 is connected to the base body 2 via a weakening line 24. This tearing off can occur, for example, during the separation of the tear-off tab 11. The separation of the web 17 facilitates the expansion of the joint sealing tape 16.

[0035] In summary, an embodiment of the plaster sealing strip according to the invention can be described as follows.

[0036] A plaster sealing strip 1 comprises a base body 2, optionally with at least one plaster edge 8, a leg 4 to which reinforcing mesh 6 is attached, and a joint sealing strip 16 accommodated in a receiving space 15 of the base body 2. The joint sealing strip 16 is held in a compressed state in the receiving space 15 exclusively by the shape of the groove forming the receiving space 15. The joint sealing strip 16 is adhesively bonded to its outer surface, located in the region of the opening of the groove, by a double-sided self-adhesive strip 20.
