Description

Field of invention

[0001] The invention relates to an entrance door leaf.Prior art

[0002] In modern times, a minimalist design with flat surfaces, smooth lines and no protrusions is required, which often poses a challenge for developers of technical solutions.

[0003] EP3234284B1 is known from prior art, which discloses a door handle assembly. The handle is movably arranged in a recess of the door so that it can assume a retracted position, in which the front, flat face of the handle is flush with the plane of the door, and an extended position, in which the handle protrudes out of the plane of the door and allows the user to grip the handle. The handle is guided in two mutually parallel sliding guides. A disadvantage of this solution is that uneven movements of the handle in the two guides may lead to the handle getting stuck or to uneven wear of the transmission parts, which can ultimately lead to malfunction.Technical problem

[0004] The technical problem is how to provide an alternative solution to the entrance door leaf that will ensure safe use for the user, that will ensure reliable operation also in the long term and in different weather conditions, e.g. in case of showers and storms.Solution to the technical problem

[0005] Relative terms such as lower, upper, etc. are defined according to the orientation of the entrance door leaf when in use.

[0006] The technical problem is solved by an entrance door leaf that comprises at least: a door leaf outer panel in which a vertical rectangular recess is formed, a depression in the door leaf, which is arranged in the area of said recess, a screen element having a first flat face and being pivotally arranged in said depression so it can assume a first position, in which said first flat face lies in the plane of the door leaf outer panel, and a second position, in which the first flat face is recessed into the interior of said depression so that the user can reach with their hand into the interior of the depression, a stepper motor configured to drive the screen element and comprising a position encoder, a stepper motor controller, an electronic lock comprising a lock controller and a Reed switch, a magnet intended to be built into a frame of the entrance door, such that it is arranged in the area of the Reed switch when the door is closed, and power supply and data electric conduits for the connection of the stepper motor, the stepper motor controller and the electronic lock.

[0007] In the first position of the screen element, the first flat face lies in the plane of the outer panel of the door leaf, substantially closing the depression and preventing the user from accessing the depression. The user actuates the electronic lock when they want to enter the room. The user actuates the electronic lock via fingerprint scanner, keypad, remote controller or in any other known way. The door leaf gets unlocked, at the same time the electronic lock controller transmits a signal to the motor controller that actuates the stepper motor to pivot the screen element towards the interior of the depression, allowing the user to reach with their hand into the interior of the depression behind the recess. The user can thus reliably move the door leaf. The screen element is in the second position the whole time. When the user closes the door leaf, the magnet comes to the area of the Reed switch, an electric signal is transmitted to the electronic lock controller and further to the stepper motor controller which sends a signal, after a predetermined time, e.g. 1 sec, to pivot the screen element to the first position.

[0008] The advantage of the entrance door leaf of the invention is safe use for the user, without any risks of damages and reliable operation in the long run. [0009] The invention is described in more detail hereinbelow.

[0010] The technical problem is solved by an entrance door leaf 1 that comprises at least: a door leaf outer panel 2 in which a vertical rectangular recess 3 is formed, a depression 4 in the door leaf, which is arranged in the area of said recess, a screen element 5 having a first flat face 6 and being pivotally arranged in said depression 4 so it can assume a first position, in which said first flat face lies in the plane of the door leaf outer panel, and a second position, in which the first flat face is recessed into the interior of said depression so that the user can reach with their hand into the interior of the depression, a stepper motor 7 configured to drive the screen element and comprising a position encoder, a stepper motor controller 8, an electronic lock 9 comprising a lock controller and a Reed switch, a magnet intended to be built into a frame of the entrance door, such that it is arranged in the area of the Reed switch when the door is closed, and power supply and data electric conduits for the connection of the stepper motor, the stepper motor controller and the electronic lock.

[0011] The stepper motor controller is configured to stop the operation of the stepper motor in the event that the movement of the screen element is impeded during the operation of the stepper motor, e.g. due to the user reaching into the movement area with their hand. The controller switches the stepper motor off, when the maximum torque of the stepper motor is reached during operation. To prevent potential injuries to the user, it is recommended that the stepper motor be selected so that its maximum torque during operation is between 0.34 Nm and 0.4 Nm, preferably about 0.37 Nm. The maximum torque of the motor selected in this way ensures that the torque during operation is high enough to ensure reliable rotation of the screen element, while at the same time keeping the torque low enough to avoid injury to the user.

[0012] The stepper motor controller is further configured to detect a change in the position of the screen element by way of a position encoder in the stepper motor, which change may occur for any reason due to an external force acting on this element. The time interval for checking the position of the screen element can be set to e.g. 2 sec. As the stepper motor controller detects a change in the position of the screen element, a calibration cycle is triggered after a predetermined time of e.g. 1.5 sec, which returns the screen element to the first position.

[0013] It is further recommended that the stepper motor be selected in a way that its torque in the standby mode is between 0.46 Nm and 0.56 Nm, prefeably about 0.51 Nm, which guarantees good resistance of the screen element against pivoting due to an external force.

[0014] It is further recommended that the stepper motor be selected in a way to provide rotational speed between 0.45 s -1< and 0.55 s -1< , preferably about 0.5 s -1< . The rotational speed chosen in this way ensures a reasonably short time for the screen element to move from the first position to the second position, while at the same time ensuring reasonably quiet operation.

[0015] It is further recommended that the stepper motor be selected in a way to provide position precision ±0.11°, preferably about ±0.09°. Such selection provides for adequate alignment of the first flat face of the screen element with the plane of the outer panel of the door leaf, which means that misalignment cannot be detected by the naked eye.

[0016] It is reasonable that the shape of the edge of the first flat face of the screen element should follow the shape of the recess in the outer panel of the door leaf, preferably with a gap between the edge of the first flat face and the recess being between 3 mm and 6 mm, preferably between 4 mm and 5 mm. Such gap selection facilitates reliable operation without stumbling and provides a relatively good protection of the interior of the depression against water from precipitations.

[0017] A device 10 to actuate the electronic lock may be configured as a fingerprint scanner, a keypad, a remote controller, etc.

[0018] According to one of the embodiments, the depression 4 is formed by means of a housing comprising a side wall 11 in the form of an extruded profile and an upper 12 and a bottom 13 wall, said walls being connected to the side wall by first screws 14 and second screws 15, respectively. The screen element is provided with a bottom pivot axle 16 mounted in a bearing element 17, such as a sliding bushing or a roller bearing, arranged in the bottom wall 13 of the housing, and an upper pivot axle 18 connected in a rotationally fixed way by means of a threaded pin 20 to a pivot axle 19 of the stepper motor arranged on the upper wall 12 of the housing. On the bottom axle 16 of the screen element there is arranged a first spacer element 21. On the upper axle 18 there is preferably arranged a second spacer element 22. The spacer elements provide for a proper vertical position of the screen element 5 with respect to the recess 3 in the outer panel of the door leaf. The upper wall is preferably formed with a recess closed by a flange 23 of the stepper motor, which is fixed to the upper wall by means of fifth screws 30 from below. The recess in the upper wall is dimensioned to accommodate both a housing 33 of the stepper motor controller and the stepper motor.

[0019] An O-ring 24 is preferably arranged between the flange 23 of the stepper motor and the stepper motor 7. The O-ring prevents the ingress of humidity to the stepper motor and dampens its vibrations.

[0020] Such a configuration has a further advantage over known solutions in that it allows adequate access to the stepper motor in case of motor malfunction.

[0021] If malfunction occurs, the screen element is first moved to the second position. Then a third screw 31 is unscrewed from the upper axle 18 and a fourth screw 32 is unscrewed from the bottom axle 16 which connect the axles to the screen element 5. The threaded pin 20 connecting the upper axle 18 with the stepper motor axle 19 is also unscrewed. The screen element 5 is taken out of the depression 4, access to the fifth screws 30 is thus open, with which the flange 23 of the stepper motor is fixed to the upper wall 12. The fifth screws 30 and the flange 23 of the stepper motor are unscrewed, allowing the stepper motor and the controller housing to be taken out for servicing.

[0022] The bottom wall of the housing may be provided with a drain element 25 with a quick coupling 26 connected to a drain pipe 27 to drain any water from precipitations from the depression 4. The drain pipe is led through the bottom profile of the door leaf to discharge water towards the exterior.

[0023] The interior of the depression may further be provided with at least one LED strip 28 which improves visibility at night and also has an aesthetic function.

[0024] A portion 29 of the depression intended to be gripped by the user may be ergonomically shaped.
