Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a carrying device for a tool, in particular for a knife.
[0002] For manual work, it is advantageous if the tool, when not in use, can be stored in a carrying device that can be attached directly to the person—e.g., to clothing—or to an object within easy reach. Carrying devices are known from prior public use that have a receiving device with a receiving space for a knife. The receiving device is held firmly in place by a holding device that can be attached to a belt. The carrying device allows the receiving device to be moved relative to the holding device.
[0003] The carrying device was in need of improvement because it lacks resistance to dirt. Dirt particles could impair the function of the carrying device. Furthermore, the prior art carrying device requires improvement in terms of its flexibility.
[0004] The object of the invention was to create a carrying device that is resistant to contamination. Furthermore, the object of the invention was to create a carrying device that allows for a high degree of flexibility in its mounting.
[0005] The problem was solved by a carrying device having the features of claim 1.
[0006] The carrying device for a knife comprises a receiving device with a receiving space for accommodating the tool, in particular the knife. The receiving device is, for example, pot-shaped and has side walls and a base. The base does not have to be completely closed. The base and / or the side walls have, for example, openings through which dirt particles can escape the receiving space. The receiving device is provided with an opening for inserting the tool.
[0007] The carrying device comprises a holding device for rotatably supporting and releasably fastening the receiving device to a base part, wherein the holding device has first holding means associated with the receiving device and second holding means associated with the base part. The receiving device is releasably mounted on the base part by means of the holding device. The holding device allows repeated fastening and detachment of the receiving device from the base part. After fastening the receiving device to the base part, the receiving device is rotatably mounted on the base part and captively connected to it.
[0008] The carrying device comprises a locking device with first locking means associated with the receiving device and second locking means associated with the base part for locking the receiving device in different positions relative to the base part. The locking device ensures that the receiving device does not inadvertently move from the set position relative to the base part. The rotation range in which locking can occur is selectable and depends on the angular range in which the receiving device is to be locked relative to the base part.
[0009] The base part, for example, is assigned the second holding means and the second locking means. In this way, the support device can be constructed with a small number of components.
[0010] The first holding means and the second holding means are designed, for example, as a clip device and can be detachably engaged with one another. In the context of the invention, a clip device means that the receiving device and base part can be connected and disconnected without tools. These features make it possible to easily separate the receiving device from the holding device and to reattach it. The clipping takes place, for example, by locking with an elastically deformable latch on one of the parts, which can engage in a recess in the other part or engages behind the other part. During assembly, for example, inclined surfaces on the latch cause an elastic deformation when passing a latch wall and an automatic movement of the latch into engagement with the latch seat due to the elastic restoring force.
[0011] The first or the second holding means are formed, for example, by a circular recess in one of the parts of the receiving device and the base part and the other holding means are formed by at least two hook projections which pass through the recess, engage behind an edge region of the recess and can be moved radially inwards out of engagement against elastic restoring force, such that the receiving device can be released from the base part.
[0012] At least two hook projections have, for example, a bearing area configured such that the entire bearing area of the hook projections forms a pivot axis for rotatably supporting the receiving device on the base part. The bearing areas interact, for example, with a reveal of the opening to form the pivot bearing. For example, at least three or four hook projections can also be present, each having a bearing area.
[0013] The bearing areas have, for example, at least one web projection extending longitudinally parallel to the pivot axis, which forms the contact surface with the reveal of the opening. The web projection is designed, for example, as a strip. This feature allows the friction between the bearing area and the reveal of the opening to be kept to a minimum, so that the rotation of the receiving device is not difficult.
[0014] The base part, for example, is plate-shaped. The plate-shaped design of the base part results in space savings, so that the holding device requires little space overall. Functional features such as holding means, locking means, or axle means can easily be incorporated into the plate-shaped base part. For example, the base part is designed as a plastic injection-molded part.
[0015] For example, each hook projection is mounted on at least one spring arm. The spring arm is, for example, suspended from the plane of the plate-shaped base part. In this way, the hook projections can be moved out of engagement with the other holding means by elastic deformation of the respective spring arm, in order to release the receiving device from the base part.
[0016] The locking device is designed, for example, as a locking device. The term "locking device" is to be understood in the application to mean that after unlocking, at least one lock automatically locks into a locking counter-structure.
[0017] For example, the first locking means and the second locking means are formed by interacting toothings. The locking device is designed, for example, such that the toothings allow a ratcheting adjustment in at least one adjustment direction. The term "ratcheting adjustment" in the sense of the invention means that, during the engagement of the first locking means with the second locking means, an adjustment to another locking position is possible by overcoming a minimum adjustment force without actively moving a lock out of engagement. This adjustment is made possible by at least one lock of the first or second locking means being mounted in an elastically deformable manner, and the toothings of the locking means being designed such that, upon adjustment, a force in the direction of the elastic deformability is generated.
[0018] The first locking means or the second locking means comprise, for example, a fixed toothing formed on the respective part. The other locking means comprise, for example, at least one elastically deformable tooth that is loaded into engagement with the fixed toothing due to elastic restoring force.
[0019] The first locking means or the second locking means are formed, for example, on at least one elastic arm. For example, each locking means is held on an elastically deformable arm. The arm is formed, for example, in the plane of a plate-shaped base part and is released from the base part in such a way that a free end region provided with the locking means is elastically movable.
[0020] The holding device has, for example, a locking part that can be at least partially detachably attached to the base part. The locking part allows the receiving device to be attached to a belt or a bar by placing the belt or bar between the locking part and the base part, and then attaching the locking part to the base part. "At least partially detachable" in the context of this feature means that, for example, one area of the locking part is detachable, while another area is permanently connected to the base part.
[0021] For example, the holding device has a hinge part as the locking part. The term "hinge part" means that the hinge part is movable relative to the base part in a hinge-like manner. For example, the base part and the hinge part form a hinge joint. The hinge part can, for example, have an elastically deformable region and can be moved relative to the base part solely by elastic deformation. In this case, the hinge part and the base part merely form regions of one part. One end region of the hinge part is, for example, movably or deformably connected to the base part, while another free end region can be removed from the base part.
[0022] The hinge part can be fastened to the base part, for example by means of a fastening device. The fastening device comprises, for example, first locking means which are assigned to the base part and second locking means which are assigned to the hinge part. One locking means is formed, for example, by a latch and the other locking means is formed by a latch seat for receiving the latch in a latched position. The latch seat can, for example, be formed by a recess provided with locking surfaces which can prevent movement of the latch or the latch seat when the latch and latch seat are engaged. The locking means can be moved into a release position in which they are disengaged. The latch or the latch seat is formed, for example, on an elastic element in order to be able to load it into engagement and move it out of engagement.
[0023] The fastening device is formed, for example, on an end region of the hinge part opposite the joint.
[0024] For example, the fastening device comprises at least one pair of latch and latch seat. In particular, two pairs of latch and latch seat are provided. Movement into the release position is then ergonomically possible because the adjustment force for adjusting one latch can be configured as a counterforce to the adjustment force for adjusting the other latch.
[0025] The holder, for example, forms a guide surface along which the tool can be guided into the holder. This allows the opening to the holder's holder space to be located without the user having to aim at the holder. Furthermore, damage to clothing or injury to the user is prevented while inserting the tool.
[0026] The tool is specifically a knife.

[0031] A carrying device as a whole is designated in the figures by the reference numeral 10. In Fig. 1a is a front view of the carrying device 10. The carrying device 10 serves to hold a tool, here in the form of a knife 22, as in Fig. 1b The carrying device 10 comprises a receiving device 20, a holding device 30, and a locking device 40.
[0032] The receiving device 20 is designed like a housing and has a receiving space 12 defined by a wall 13. The knife can be inserted into and removed from the receiving space 12 via an upper opening 11. A wall region 16 forms a guide surface 14, which guides the knife 22 into the receiving space. An upper end of the wall 16 projects beyond an upper edge of the opening 11 by a length l.
[0033] Openings 15 in the wall 13 give the carrying device 10 a visually light appearance and allow dirt particles that have entered the receiving space 12 to escape. Fastening means in the form of eyelets 17 allow the attachment of a cable or strap (not shown), which is otherwise connected to the blade 22, or the attachment of other objects to the carrying device 10. The wall 13 is designed such that contact with the cutting edge of the blade 22 and thus injury is not possible when the blade 22 is located in the receiving space 12. The receiving device 20 is made essentially of plastic, for example. Metal and composite plastics can also be used for the receiving device 20.
[0034] To secure the knife 22 in the receiving space 12 against accidental falling out, the carrying device 10 in the present embodiment has a locking device 50. This comprises a button 18 with which the locking device 50 can be switched between a locked position and a release position. In the locked position, the knife 22 is secured in the receiving space 12, and in the release position, the knife 22 can be removed from the receiving space 12. In the present embodiment, the button 18 is designed as a rocker switch that can be adjusted between the locked position and the release position. Alternatively, other actuations are also possible. The locking device 50 will be explained in more detail below.
[0035] In Fig. 2 The carrying device 10 is shown in a side view. A base part 31 is visible, which is part of a holding device 30 and part of a fastening device 60, for example, for fastening the receiving device 20 to a piece of clothing of the user or to a piece of furniture. The receiving device 20 is Fig. 2 The holding device 30, which is not fully visible, is detachably attached to the base part 31 and mounted on the base part 31 for pivoting about a pivot axis a3. In this example, the bearing is designed as a plain bearing. Alternatively, other bearings could be used. However, in this case, a plain bearing offers the possibility of easily detaching the receiving device 20 from the base part 31 and incurs only minimal costs.
[0036] In this embodiment, the receiving device 30 can be pivoted 360° relative to the base part 31. Alternatively, the pivot radius could be limited.
[0037] Fig. 3 shows a top view of the support device, in which the receiving space 12 can be seen through the opening 11. Openings 15 are visible at the bottom of the receiving device 20, through which dirt particles can escape from the receiving space 12.
[0038] Fig. 4 shows an exploded view of the support device 10. In Fig. 4 The button 18, the receiving device 20, the base part 31, and a locking part 36 can be seen. The base part 31 has second holding means 25, which cooperate with the first holding means 24 of the receiving device to ensure releasable fastening and rotatable mounting. The first holding means 24 are formed by an edge surface 43 of a recess 26 in the wall 13 of the receiving device 20. The edge surface 43 is part of an inner surface 21 of the receiving device 20. In other words, the edge surface 43 surrounds the recess 26 and, together with hook projections 42 of the base part 31, prevents the base part 31 from becoming detached from the receiving device 20.
[0039] In this exemplary embodiment, the second holding means 25 are formed in the form of three separate blocks 46 which project from the plate-shaped base part 31 in the direction x1 towards the receiving device 20, wherein each block 46 is mounted on an end region of at least one elastically deformable spring bar 19. In this way, each block 46 can be moved radially inward against the elastic spring force of the spring bar 19. Gaps between the blocks 46 enable the radially inward movement. A bearing surface 56 of all three blocks 46 together results in the shape of a circular cylinder, which is intended to penetrate the recess 26 and form a common bearing surface for the pivot bearing. The number of blocks was chosen here as an example. Alternatively, there could also be 2 or 4 blocks 46, for example, whose bearing surfaces 56 form a common bearing surface for the pivot bearing of the receiving device 20.
[0040] Each block 46 is provided with a hook projection 42 (see Fig. 5a ) which projects radially outwards from a free end region of each block 46. If each block 46 moves elastically inwards, the blocks 46 can be guided through the recess 26 in the direction x1 when the receiving device 20 is mounted on the base part 31. When the load is removed, the blocks move radially outwards, with each hook projection 42 engaging over the edge surface 43 of the recess 26 on a side of the wall 13 opposite the base part 31. If this is the case, the base part 31 cannot be moved in the direction x2 and can be released from the receiving device 20. The rotatability of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 in the directions p1 and p2 is ensured due to the interaction of the bearing surface 56 with the reveal 23.
[0041] During assembly of the base part 31 in the direction x1 relative to the receiving device 20, inclined surfaces on the hook projections 42 support the radial inward movement when they come into contact with the reveal 23 of the recess 26. To disassemble the base part 31, the blocks 46 can be moved radially inward by applying pressure to their common center (pivot axis a3), and then the holding means 25 can be released from the receiving device 20 in the direction x2. This detachability of the receiving device 20 from the base part 31 enables and simplifies cleaning of the support device 10.
[0042] On the bearing surface 56, each of the three blocks 46 has web projections 45 extending in a direction parallel to the pivot axis a3. These projections are in contact with the reveal 23 of the recess 26 when the first holding means 24 are engaged with the second holding means 25 and, together with the latter, form a sliding bearing for rotatably supporting the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 in the directions p1 and p2 about the pivot axis a3.
[0043] The locking device 40 of the carrying device 10 is designed to secure the set rotational position of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31. The locking device 40 has first locking means 34 (see the Fig. 6 bis 11 ) which are assigned to the receiving device 20 and second locking means 35 which are assigned to the base part 31. The second locking means 35 (see also the Fig. 5a bis 5f ) have in this embodiment a tooth projection 47 extending in the direction x1, which is directed towards the first locking means 34.
[0044] The tooth projection 47 is formed on a free end region of a spring bar 29, which is exposed in the plane of the plate-shaped base part 31. In the present example, the second locking means comprise three tooth projections 47, which are distributed around the rotation axis a3 and offset by 120°. Alternatively, a different number of tooth projections 47 can be selected. In the present design, the second locking means 35 are arranged radially outwardly of the rotation axis a3 with respect to the second holding means 25, which is advantageous in terms of a space-saving design.
[0045] In Fig. 6 a rear view of the receiving device 20 is shown. It can be seen that the first locking means 34 are formed by a toothing 57 which surrounds the recess 26 or, in other words, is formed on an edge region 53 of the recess 26 facing the base part 31. In the present example, the toothing is formed over an angle of 360° relative to the axis of rotation a3. This enables locking in all rotational positions of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 over an angle of 360°. If a smaller adjustment option of the receiving device 20 is desired, the first locking means 34 can also be formed only at a smaller angle, e.g. 90° from the vertical in both directions of rotation p1 and p2.
[0046] In the Fig. 7 und 8 It can be seen that the toothing 57 takes up little installation space and the extension in the directions x1 and x2 is small.
[0047] In the Fig. 10 und 11 Details of the holding device 30 and the locking device 40 can be seen. In Fig. 10 The engagement of the tooth projection 47 in a recess of the toothing 57 is shown. The toothings 47 and 57 are designed here as a locking device, so that when a minimum torque on the receiving device 20 in one of the rotational directions p1 or p2 is exceeded, the tooth projection 47 automatically moves in direction x2 out of engagement with the toothing 57 and, due to the restoring force of the spring bar 29, moves into engagement with the toothing 57 in the set rotational position. Fig. 11 it can be seen how the hook projection 42 releasably engages over the edge surface 43 in the locked position.
[0048] In the Fig. 12 bis 15 Different pivoting positions of the receiving device 20 relative to the base part 31 are shown as examples. Fig. 12 an angle α1 of approximately 30° is formed between a longitudinal center axis m1 of the receiving device 20 and a longitudinal center axis m2 of the base part 31. In Fig. 13 the angle α2 between the longitudinal central axes m1 and m2 is approximately 70° and in Fig. 14 the angle α3 between the longitudinal central axes m1 and m2 is approximately 90°.
[0049] The locking device 50 is explained below, with which the removal of the knife 22 held in the receiving space 12 can be prevented. The locking device 50 comprises the button 18, which is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis a1. The geometric pivot axis a1 is separated from a physical axis 39 (only in Fig. 4 visible), which is mounted in the axle recesses 41 of the receiving device 20 and forms a joint G1 with it (see the Fig. 16 und 17 ).
[0050] The button 18 is designed as a two-armed lever and has, according to Fig. 16 two areas 48 and 49, with area 48 located above the pivot axis a1 and area 49 below the pivot axis a1. The actuation 18 can be moved in a rocker-like manner between a locked position and a released position by pressing the respective area 48 or 49. Fig. 16 shows the release position and Fig. 17 the locking position. In Fig. 18 the carrying device is shown in front view, with the locking device 50 in the locking position.
[0051] In Fig. 18 It can be seen that the region 48 has a greater longitudinal extension l2 from the pivot axis a1 in the z direction than the region 49, which has a longitudinal extension l3. Furthermore, the region 48 has a larger surface area than the region 49. The locking position is therefore easier to adjust than the release position.
[0052] The key 18 is surrounded by a raised edge ridge 32, which makes it stand out haptically and allows it to be easily felt without being aimed at.
[0053] In the sectional view according to Fig. 19 It can be seen that a locking pin 52 of the actuation 18 in the locking position passes through an opening 51 in the wall 13 of the receiving device 20 and engages in the receiving space 12. The button can be pivoted about the axis a1 in the directions v1 and v2. In the release position, which in the sectional view according to Fig. 9 As can be seen, key 18 was adjusted in relation to the position according to. Fig. 19 pivoted in the direction v1 and the locking pin 52 barely protrudes into the receiving space 12. From the position according to Fig. 9 the locking position is reached by swiveling in direction v2.
[0054] In the Fig. 19 bis 22 It can be seen that the locking pin 52 is located in the path of movement of a knife 22 accommodated in the receiving space 12—here, a housing wall 55 of the knife 22—when the knife 22 is moved in the direction z2. Removal or accidental falling out of the knife 22 is therefore impossible.
[0055] In Fig. 23 is a side view of the support device 10 in accordance with Fig. 2 , wherein a fastening device 60 is provided for attaching the carrying device 10 to a belt or a bar. This comprises a closing part 36, which forms a pivot joint G2 with the base part 31. The base part 31 forms primary joint means 27 for this purpose, which interact with secondary joint means 38 of the closing part 36.
[0056] A free end region 54 of the closing part 36 can be pivoted away from the base part 31 by means of the pivot joint G2 relative to the base part 31 about the pivot axis a2 (see Fig. 23 und 24 ). According to Fig. 23 The closing part 36 has been pivoted away from the base part 31, so that a supporting part, e.g., a belt, can be arranged between a first contact surface 67 of the base part 31 and a second contact surface 68 of the closing part 36. The first contact surface 67 faces the second contact surface 68.
[0057] At the end region 54, the locking part 36 has two elastically deformable arms 33, each formed with a locking projection 37. The arms 33 can be elastically moved toward one another according to the arrows q1 such that the locking projections 37 can be moved out of the locking relationship of the locking recesses 28 of the base part 31 by means of handles 44. By relieving the load on the handles 44, the locking projections 37 can move away from one another again according to the arrows q2 due to elastic restoring force, into engagement with the locking recesses 28.
[0058] In this way, the carrying device 10 can be secured, for example, to a belt 54 or to a web by arranging the latter between the base part 31 and the locking part 36, the locking part 36 is then brought into a parallel position to the base part 31 and the locking projections 37 are then brought into engagement with the locking recesses 28.
[0059] Alternatively, the joint G2 could also be designed as a foil hinge, so that the base part 31 and the locking part 36 are connected to one another as one piece. Alternatively, the locking part 36 and the base part 31 could also be formed as one piece and connected by an elastic region, which replaces the joint G2. In this case, the base part 31 and the locking part 36 would be connected in a clasp-like manner, and the fastening device would not have a locking device comprising, for example, a locking projection and locking recess.
