Abstract
Description
[0001] Title of the invention: Tent equipped with a deployable curtain
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] The present invention relates to the technical field of camping equipment. More specifically, the invention relates to a tent provided with a window that can be covered by a deployable curtain.
[0004] This type of tent is commonly used by hikers and campers. Indeed, tents with windows allow the user to observe the landscape from inside the tent. The use of a curtain also allows the user to maintain their privacy and protect themselves from the sun's rays. During the day, the use of a curtain helps keep the tent cool and reduces wear on the window material by blocking the sun's rays.
[0005] Prior art
[0006] Tents are known that are equipped with a window and an operable shutter covering this window. In particular, document FR2809437 describes a tent equipped with an operable shutter comprising a fabric veil framed by rigid rods. The curtain can be raised from outside the tent by means of an actuation system comprising ropes and pulleys.
[0007] One disadvantage of this curtain is that the user has to leave the tent to lower or raise it, which is not practical and can be particularly uncomfortable, especially in bad weather.
[0008] Furthermore, the tent operating system in this document includes many heavy and bulky mechanism elements such as pulleys. The curtain is also equipped with a frame formed of rigid rods, considerably increasing its weight and limiting the compactness of the tent once folded. This is not satisfactory for a tent that must be as light and compact as possible in order to be able to be regularly transported, particularly in the context of camping.
[0009] Furthermore, the curtain of this tent according to the prior art can be lowered by gravity given the weight of the rigid rods surrounding the frame. Consequently, this curtain cannot be positioned horizontally since, in the absence of gravity, it could no longer be deployed. This curtain is therefore not suitable for covering a roof window, extending substantially horizontally.
[0010] Statement of the invention
[0011] An aim of the present invention is to provide a tent which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks.
[0012] To this end, the invention relates to a tent comprising: a tent canvas defining an interior volume for the tent and being provided with at least one window extending in a direction of deployment, the tent canvas comprising a first orifice and a second orifice distant from each other considered in said direction of deployment
[0013] / at least one curtain arranged outside the tent and being configured to take a deployed position in which it covers the window and a retracted position, said curtain comprising at least a first end portion; a curtain actuation system configured to move the curtain between its retracted position and its deployed position, said actuation system comprising at least a first elongate element sliding through the first orifice and through the second orifice so that it comprises an outer portion extending outside the tent between said first and second orifices, a first pulling portion extending inside the tent from the first orifice and a second pulling portion extending inside the tent from the second orifice, the outer portion of the first elongate element having a fixing portion fixed to said first end portion of the curtain, the curtain actuation system being configured to move the curtain to its deployed position when said curtain is in the retracted position and traction is exerted on the first pulling portion of the first elongate element, the curtain actuation system being further configured to move the curtain to its retracted position when said curtain is in the deployed position and traction is exerted on the second pulling portion of the first elongate element.,
[0014] In a non-limiting manner, the tent according to the invention may be a camping tent comprising a traditional frame composed of rigid poles. Alternatively, and without departing from the scope of the invention, the tent according to the invention may be an inflatable tent, for example equipped with inflatable poles. In a non-limiting manner, the tent according to the invention may also be an inflatable tent known as an overpressure tent, in which air is injected into the interior volume defined by the tent canvas in order to inflate the latter.
[0015] Advantageously, said window comprises a film of transparent material, preferably transparent plastic, for example PVC. Alternatively, but not limited to, the window may comprise a layer of mesh fabric. Alternatively, said window may be formed from an opening provided in the tent fabric.
[0016] The window advantageously has, but is not limited to, a square or rectangular, circular or oval shape. The window can have any other shape.
[0017] The deployment direction is defined as the direction in which the curtain is deployed and retracted.
[0018] Preferably, but not limited to, the tent extends in a main direction extending from the back to the front of the tent, said deployment direction being advantageously parallel to said main direction. The curtain is then deployed from the back to the front of the tent or from the front to the back of the tent.
[0019] Alternatively, and without departing from the scope of the invention, the direction of deployment may be transverse to the main direction in which the tent extends. The curtain is then deployed laterally, considered in said main direction of the tent.
[0020] By elongated element is meant an element whose transverse dimensions are much smaller than its length. In a non-limiting manner, the first elongated element may comprise a cord, a rope, a strap, a string or even a wire. The first elongated element is advantageously flexible.
[0021] In a non-limiting manner, the curtain actuating device may comprise only a single elongate element, in which case the curtain is brought into the retracted position solely by pulling on the second pulling portion of this elongate element.
[0022] Alternatively, and without departing from the scope of the invention, the actuating device may comprise a plurality of elongate elements. Individual actuation of one of the elongate elements then moves the curtain into an intermediate position. The second pull portion of all the elongate elements must be pulled to bring the curtain into the retracted position. The first pull portion of all the elongate elements must be pulled to bring the curtain into the deployed position.
[0023] The outer portion of the first elongate element advantageously extends parallel to said direction of deployment.
[0024] The tent may include one or more curtains. One or more curtains may be associated with the window.
[0025] When a single curtain is associated with said window, said curtain in the deployed position advantageously covers a major portion of the window, preferably substantially the entire window. In the retracted position, corresponding to a folded position of the curtain, said curtain does not cover the window or only covers a reduced portion of the window.
[0026] Without departing from the scope of the invention, the tent may comprise a first curtain and a second curtain associated with the same window so that they each cover a portion of the window, preferably each substantially half of the window, when they are brought into the deployed position. In this non-limiting embodiment, the two curtains, and more precisely their first end portions, are advantageously brought closer to each other when they are brought into the deployed position. In a non-limiting manner, the tent may comprise a single actuation system for actuating the two curtains. Alternatively, the tent may comprise two separate actuation systems, each for actuating one of the two curtains. The two curtains can then be brought into the deployed or retracted position independently of each other.
[0027] In this non-limiting embodiment, the first end portion of the first curtain is brought into proximity to the first end portion of the second curtain when said curtains are brought into the deployed position.
[0028] The curtain is advantageously flexible. It preferably comprises a flexible material, for example a fabric. More preferably, the curtain consists of a strip of flexible material. The curtain is advantageously without a rigid frame. The curtain is preferably square or rectangular in shape. Without departing from the scope of the invention, the curtain could have any other shape allowing it to cover the window when it is in the deployed position. The curtain advantageously has a span greater than the span of the window. When in the deployed position, the curtain allows the sun's rays to be filtered, preferably blocked, thus keeping the interior of the tent cool and reducing wear on the material constituting the window.
[0029] When in the deployed position, the curtain is advantageously kept pressed against the tent canvas and against the window by the actuation system. One advantage is to reduce the amount of air entering under the curtain, between the curtain and the tent canvas. The curtain then follows the curvature of the tent canvas and the window.
[0030] A straight line passing through the first orifice and the second orifice advantageously extends parallel to the direction of deployment.
[0031] The window advantageously comprises a front edge and a rear edge opposite the front edge. The first orifice is advantageously located near the rear edge of the window while the second orifice is advantageously located near the front edge of the window. The first orifice and the second orifice advantageously extend on either side of the window. The window advantageously has a first lateral edge, said first and second orifices advantageously extend near the first lateral edge of the window.
[0032] Preferably, the window has a first corner, said first orifice being located near said first corner. The window advantageously has a second corner near which the second orifice is located.
[0033] The curtain advantageously comprises a front edge and a rear edge opposite the front edge. The first end portion of the curtain advantageously extends along said rear edge.
[0034] Preferably, the first end portion of the curtain comprises the rear edge of the curtain. Preferably, the second end portion of the curtain comprises the front edge of the curtain.
[0035] Said fixing part of the first elongate element is advantageously fixed to said rear edge of the curtain.
[0036] The outer portion of the first elongate element is advantageously fixed to the curtain by sewing or by means of a fastener. The fixing part is preferably a small area, more preferably a point area of the outer portion of the first elongate element.
[0037] When the curtain is in the deployed position, the fixing part of the outer portion of the first elongate element advantageously extends close to the first orifice while it extends close to the second orifice when the curtain is in the retracted position.
[0038] To bring the curtain into the deployed position from its retracted position, the user pulls, from inside the tent, on the first pull portion. The first elongate element then slides in the first and second holes, in a direction going from the second hole towards the first hole. The fixing part of the outer portion of the first elongate element is moved from the second hole towards the first hole. The first end part of the curtain, fixed to said fixing part of the outer portion of the first elongate element, is then moved in the deployment direction, towards the first hole. The curtain is moved to its deployed position.
[0039] To bring the curtain into the retracted position from its deployed position, the user pulls, from inside the tent, on the second pull portion. The first elongate element then slides in the first and second holes, in a direction going from the first hole to the second hole. The fixing part of the outer portion of the first elongate element is moved from the first hole to the second hole. The first end portion of the curtain, fixed to the fixing part of the outer portion of the first elongate element, is then moved towards the second hole. The curtain is moved to its retracted position.
[0040] The first end portion of the curtain is therefore movable in translation relative to the tent canvas, between the retracted position and the deployed position. Preferably, the first end portion of the curtain is movable in translation in the direction of deployment.
[0041] The tent curtain actuation system according to the invention allows the curtain to be deployed or retracted from inside the tent. The user, positioned in the tent, can easily operate the curtain by pulling on the first or second portion of the pull, without having to leave the tent.
[0042] Furthermore, the system for operating the curtain of the tent according to the invention does not include bulky mechanism elements such as pulleys and does not require the curtain to be framed with rigid rods. The tent according to the invention is therefore particularly light and less bulky than tents according to the prior art. The risk of malfunction due to wear of the parts is also reduced. Since the curtain is arranged outside the tent, it also frees up space inside the tent. The curtain also covers the window so that it protects said window.
[0043] Furthermore, the curtain of the tent according to the invention is actuated by the force exerted on said curtain via the first elongated element, and not by gravity. Unlike the curtains of the prior art, the curtain of the tent according to the invention can therefore be positioned and moved horizontally, for example to cover a roof window extending horizontally.
[0044] Preferably, the curtain comprises a second end portion, opposite the first end portion, said second end portion being fixed relative to the tent canvas, the curtain actuation system being configured to bring said first end portion closer to said second end portion when traction is exerted on the second pulling portion and to move the first end portion away from said second end portion when traction is exerted on the first pulling portion. Only the first end portion is moved when the curtain is actuated. Placing the curtain in the deployed or retracted position is therefore particularly easy and requires little effort. The first end portion is moved in said deployment direction.
[0045] In the retracted position, the first end portion and the second end portion preferably extend next to each other. They are advantageously adjacent to each other. In the deployed position, the curtain is taut and said first and second end portions of the curtain are distant from each other, considered in the direction of deployment.
[0046] The second end part of the curtain advantageously runs along the front edge of the curtain.
[0047] The second end portion of the curtain is advantageously attached to the tent fabric or to a pole of the tent. Preferably, said second end portion of the curtain is connected to a pole in a detachable manner. Said second end portion of the curtain may be connected to the tent fabric or to a pole of the tent by means of fasteners.
[0048] Advantageously, said curtain comprises a first lateral edge connecting said first and second end portions of the curtain, the outer portion of the first elongate element extending along said first lateral edge. One advantage is to position the first elongate element next to the window so that neither its outer portion nor the draw portions extend in front of the window and thus spoil the view for the user. Another advantage is to allow the use of a second elongate element extending along a second lateral edge of the curtain.
[0049] The first side edge connects the back edge and the front edge of the curtain.
[0050] The fixing part of the first elongate element is advantageously fixed to a first corner of the curtain located at the intersection of the first lateral edge and the first end part.
[0051] Said lateral edge advantageously extends substantially parallel to the direction of deployment.
[0052] Preferably, the first lateral edge of the curtain is provided with at least one longitudinal sheath within which the outer portion of said first elongate element extends. One advantage is to improve the guidance of the movement of the first end portion of the curtain along the outer portion of the first elongate element. Another advantage is to protect the outer portion of the first elongate element, in particular from bad weather, thus reducing its wear.
[0053] The outer portion of the first elongate element preferably extends inside the longitudinal sheath over more than half of its length, still preferably over more than three-quarters of its length, still preferably over substantially its entire length.
[0054] The outer portion of the first elongate element slides inside said longitudinal sheath when the curtain is actuated.
[0055] Advantageously, the tent canvas comprises a third orifice, distant from the first orifice considered in a direction transverse to the direction of deployment, and a fourth orifice, distant from the second orifice considered in said direction transverse to the direction of deployment, the third and fourth orifices being distant from each other considered in said direction of deployment, said curtain actuation system further comprising a second elongate element sliding through the third orifice and through the fourth orifice so that it comprises an outer portion extending outside the tent between said third and fourth orifices, a first pulling portion extending inside the tent from the third orifice as well as a second pulling portion extending inside the tent from the fourth orifice, the outer portion of the second elongate element having a fixing part fixed to said first end part of the curtain.,
[0056] The attachment portion of the second elongate element exerts a tensile force on an area of the first end portion of the curtain that is distinct from the area on which the attachment portion of the first elongate element pulls. The use of a second elongate element thus improves the guidance of the movement of the first end portion of the curtain by making it possible to distribute the tensile forces over the length of the latter, and therefore over the width of the curtain. The use of a first elongate element and a second elongate element also facilitates the placing of the curtain in the deployed or retracted position by reducing the forces to be exerted on each of the pulling portions of these elongate elements.
[0057] The outer portion of the second elongate element advantageously extends substantially parallel to the direction of deployment.
[0058] Preferably, the distance between the first and second orifices is substantially equal to the distance between the third and fourth orifices. Preferably, the distance between the first and third orifices is substantially equal to the distance between the second and fourth orifices.
[0059] The first, second, third and fourth orifices advantageously define a square or a rectangle. Without departing from the scope of the invention, said orifices could be positioned according to a different configuration.
[0060] The third orifice is advantageously located near the rear edge of the window while the fourth orifice is advantageously located near the front edge of the window. The third orifice and the fourth orifice advantageously extend on either side of the window.
[0061] In a non-limiting manner, the first elongate element and the second elongate element can be actuated simultaneously or one after the other.
[0062] Advantageously, the first elongated element and the second elongated element are substantially identical. They are advantageously of the same length.
[0063] Preferably, said curtain comprises a second lateral edge, opposite the first lateral edge, and which connects said first and second end portions of the curtain, the outer portion of the second elongate element extending along said second lateral edge. Here again, an advantage is to position the second elongate element next to the window so that it does not spoil the view for the user.
[0064] Furthermore, the first elongate element and the second elongate element then extend on each side of the curtain, which further improves the guidance of the movement of the curtain, and in particular of its first end part, between the retracted position and the extended position. The risk of the curtain becoming jammed when it is actuated is also reduced.
[0065] The second side edge connects the front edge and the back edge of the curtain.
[0066] Preferably, the window has a third corner located at the intersection of the first end portion and the second lateral edge of the curtain, said third orifice being located near said third corner. The window advantageously has a fourth corner located at the intersection of the second end portion and the second lateral edge of the curtain, the fourth orifice being located near said fourth corner.
[0067] Preferably, the tent canvas comprises a fifth orifice, located between the second orifice and the fourth orifice, said curtain actuation system further comprising a third elongate element mounted to slide through said fifth orifice and having a fixing part fixed to said first end part of the curtain, said third elongate element having a pulling portion extending inside the tent from the fifth orifice and an external portion extending outside the tent between the fifth orifice and the first end part of the curtain.
[0068] This third elongated element further improves the guidance of the curtain towards its retracted position.
[0069] The fixing part of the third elongated element is advantageously fixed to the curtain approximately at the level of half the width of the curtain.
[0070] Advantageously, the outer portion of the first elongate element extends substantially parallel to the outer portion of the second elongate element. An advantage is to maintain a substantially constant distance between the fixing parts of the first elongate element and the second elongate element when the curtain is actuated, whereby the curtain can be kept taut considered transversely to the direction of deployment. The risk of creasing or tearing the curtain is reduced. Alternatively, and in a non-limiting manner, the outer portion of the first elongate element and the outer portion of the second elongate element could be slightly inclined relative to each other.
[0071] Advantageously, the first elongate element comprises at least one stop member configured to limit the sliding of said first elongate element through said first and second orifices when traction is exerted on said first pulling portion and / or on said second pulling portion of the first elongate element. The stop member makes it possible to stop the movement of the curtain when the deployed position or when the retracted position is reached. One advantage is to prevent the curtain from exceeding the deployed position or the retracted position and being drawn inside one of the first and second orifices, which would risk damaging said curtain or damaging the tent canvas.
[0072] In a non-limiting manner, the stop member may be arranged on the first pulling portion, on the second pulling portion or even on the outer portion of the first elongate element.
[0073] In a non-limiting manner, the first elongate element may comprise a single stop member or a plurality of stop members, for example a stop member arranged on each of the pulling portions of said first elongate element.
[0074] When the first pulling portion of the first elongate element is provided with a stop member, the latter is configured to limit the sliding of the first elongate element in the event of traction on the second pulling portion aimed at bringing the curtain into the retracted position. When the second pulling portion of the first elongate element is provided with a stop member, the latter is configured to limit the sliding of the first elongate element in the event of traction on the first pulling portion aimed at bringing the curtain into the deployed position.
[0075] The stop member advantageously comes into contact with the tent canvas or with an eyelet, at the level of the first or second orifice.
[0076] In a non-limiting manner, the stopping member may comprise a knot or even a cord lock slidably mounted on said first elongate element.
[0077] Preferably, the first pull portion and the second pull portion of the first elongate element form a single continuous element, so that the first elongate element forms a loop. In this configuration, the first elongate element comprises an inner portion extending between the first orifice and the second orifice and comprising said first and second pull portions. One advantage is to prevent the first pull portion and the second pull portion of the first elongate element from hanging inside the tent. Another advantage is to simplify the actuation of the curtain by allowing the user to slide the first elongate element by acting on a single continuous element formed by said inner portion. The user can deploy or retract the curtain by pulling on said inner portion in a first direction or in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
[0078] Preferably, the first elongate element comprises an inner portion comprising said first and second draw portions and extending inside the tent between the first orifice and the second orifice, said inner portion comprising said stop member. One advantage is that it makes it possible to limit the movement of the curtain to the deployed position and to the retracted position using a single stop member. This further reduces the size and weight of the tent.
[0079] When the curtain is moved to its retracted position, the stop member moves towards the first orifice until it stops the sliding of the first elongate element, for example by coming into contact with the fabric at said first orifice. When the curtain is moved to its extended position, this same stop member moves towards the second orifice until it stops the sliding of the first elongate element, for example by coming into contact with the fabric at said second orifice.
[0080] Advantageously, at least one of the first and second orifices is provided with an eyelet through which the first elongate element extends. One advantage is to reinforce the tent canvas at the orifice and to reduce the friction experienced by the first elongate element when it slides through this orifice. In a non-limiting manner, the eyelet may be metallic or plastic. It advantageously has the shape of a ring surrounding the opening.
[0081] The stop member advantageously comes into abutment on said eyelet in order to limit the sliding of the first elongated element.
[0082] Advantageously, the tent comprises at least one guide member fixed to the tent canvas near one of the first and second orifices, said guide member comprising a through hole inside which the first elongate element extends. The first elongate element slides inside the through hole of said guide member. One advantage is to improve the guidance of the first elongate element through said first or second orifice. In addition, said guide member supports part of the forces exerted on the first elongate element when the curtain is actuated, thus reducing the forces experienced by the tent canvas or a possible eyelet at the edges of said orifice.
[0083] The guide member advantageously comprises a ring defining said through hole.
[0084] Preferably, said first elongate element comprises a cord or a strap. In a non-limiting manner, said elongate element may be elastic.
[0085] According to a particularly advantageous aspect, the tent extends in a main direction, said outer portion of the first elongate element extending substantially parallel to said main direction. In other words, the curtain is moved in said main direction of the tent. The first end portion of the curtain is advantageously moved from the rear to the front of the tent or from the front to the rear of the tent.
[0086] Alternatively, and without departing from the scope of the invention, the outer portion of the first elongate element extends transversely to the main direction of the tent. In this configuration the curtain is moved laterally, from a first side to a second side of the tent.
[0087] Preferably, the curtain comprises a flexible material, for example a fabric. Preferably, the curtain is made of polycotton or polyester fabric. The curtain may be made of a material that reflects sunlight.
[0088] Advantageously, said window is a roof window arranged at the top of the tent canvas. Said window preferably extends substantially horizontally.

[0100] Description of the embodiments
[0101] A tent having at least one window and a deployable curtain configured to cover said window is disclosed.
[0102] Figures 1 to 10 illustrate an embodiment given as a non-limiting example of a tent 10 according to the invention. This tent is particularly suitable for camping. It can be placed on the ground or on the roof of a vehicle.
[0103] In Figure 1, it can be seen that the tent 10 comprises a canvas 12 defining an interior volume for the tent. The tent extends in a main direction Y. In this non-limiting example, the tent is an inflatable tent, called an overpressure tent. It comprises an air inlet In, visible in Figure 3, configured to cooperate with an inflation device in order to inject air into the tent and thus inflate it. When inflated, the tent has the shape of a dome.
[0104] As illustrated in Figures 9 to 10, or in Figure 2 by transparency, the canvas 12 of the tent comprises a window 14 extending in a deployment direction L. This deployment direction L corresponds to a direction in which the curtain is deployed or retracted. In this non-limiting example, the deployment direction L is parallel to the main direction Y of the tent. The curtain 16 is therefore deployed longitudinally relative to the tent, from the front to the rear of the tent. In this non-limiting example, the window is circular. It is positioned at the top of the tent so that it forms a roof window extending substantially horizontally. The window 14 is formed from a plastic material, here transparent PVC.
[0105] The window has a rear edge 14a and a front edge 14b opposite the rear edge 14a.
[0106] As illustrated in Figure 2, the tent 10 further comprises a curtain 16 arranged outside the tent. This curtain 16 is deployable in the deployment direction L of the window 14 and can be moved between a deployed position and a retracted position. In the deployed position, illustrated in Figure 2, the curtain 16 covers the window 14 in order in particular to guarantee the privacy of a user inside the tent or in order to protect him from the sun. The curtain also makes it possible to maintain the coolness inside the tent and to reduce the wear of the material constituting the window by filtering, preferably by blocking, the sun's rays. In the retracted position, illustrated in particular in Figure 9, the curtain 16 does not cover the window 14 or only covers a reduced portion thereof, allowing the user to observe the outside landscape from inside the tent 10.
[0107] Curtain 16 is made of fabric, for example polycotton or polyester.
[0108] In Figure 2, in which it is in the deployed position, it can be seen that the curtain 16 has a first end portion 16a and a second end portion 16b, opposite the first end portion. The curtain further comprises a rear edge 17 and a front edge 18 opposite the rear edge. The curtain further comprises a first lateral edge 19, extending between the rear edge 17 and the front edge 18, and a second lateral edge 20, extending between the rear edge 17 and the front edge 18 and opposite the first lateral edge 19. The first end portion 16a of the curtain comprises the rear edge 17. The second end portion 16b of the curtain comprises the front edge 18.
[0109] The second end portion 16b and the front edge 18 of the curtain 16 are attached to a hoop 13 supporting the tent canvas, so that they are fixed relative to the tent canvas 12. Said second end portion 16b is connected to said hoop 13 in a detachable manner by means of fasteners. The first end portion 16a and the rear edge 17 of the curtain are free and can be moved relative to the front edge 18. The tent canvas 12 further comprises a first orifice 21, a second orifice 22, a third orifice 23, a fourth orifice 24 and a fifth orifice 25, arranged in said tent canvas 12 and passing through said tent canvas.
[0110] The first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22 are distant from each other considered along the deployment direction L. A straight line passing through said first orifice 21 and said second orifice 22 is substantially parallel to the deployment direction L. The first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22 extend on either side of the window 14. The distance between the first orifice and the second orifice, considered along said deployment direction L, is slightly greater than the length of the window 14 considered along said deployment direction.
[0111] The first orifice 21 is arranged at the rear edge 14a of the window 14, considered along said deployment direction L. The second orifice 22 is arranged at the front edge 14b of the window 14, considered along said deployment direction L.
[0112] Likewise, the third orifice 23 and the fourth orifice are distant from each other considered along the direction of deployment L. A straight line passing through said third orifice 23 and said fourth orifice 24 is substantially parallel to the direction of deployment L. The third orifice 23 and the fourth orifice 24 extend on either side of the window 14. The distance between the third orifice and the fourth orifice, considered along said direction of deployment L, is slightly greater than the length of the window considered along said direction of deployment.
[0113] The first orifice 21 and the third orifice 23 are distant from each other considered in a direction transverse to the direction of deployment L. The first orifice 21 and the third orifice 23 extend on either side of the window 14. The distance between the first orifice 21 and the third orifice, considered in said direction transverse to the direction of deployment L, is slightly greater than the width of the window considered in said direction transverse to the direction of deployment L.
[0114] Likewise, the second orifice 22 and the fourth orifice 24 are distant from each other considered along said direction transverse to the direction of deployment L. The second orifice 22 and the fourth orifice 24 extend on either side of the window 14. The distance between the second orifice 22 and the fourth orifice 24, considered along said direction transverse to the direction of deployment L, is slightly greater than the width of the window considered along said direction transverse to the direction of deployment L.
[0115] The distance between the first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22 is substantially equal to the distance between the third orifice 23 and the fourth orifice 24. The distance between the first orifice 21 and the third orifice 23 is substantially equal to the distance between the second orifice 22 and the fourth orifice 24. In this non-limiting example, the first, second, third and fourth orifices define a square framing the window.
[0116] The fifth orifice 25 extends between the second orifice 22 and the fourth orifice 24, substantially halfway between said second and fourth orifices. The fifth orifice is located close to the hoop 13.
[0117] Referring now to Figure 3, illustrating the tent in perspective in rear view, and to Figure 4 which is a zoomed view of the tent, it can be seen that the tent 10 further comprises an actuation system 30 of the curtain 16 configured to move the curtain between its retracted position and its deployed position. In this non-limiting example, the actuation system 30 of the curtain comprises a first elongate element 32 arranged on a first side of the window 14 and the curtain 16 and a second elongate element 50 arranged on a second side of the window and the curtain. The actuation system further comprises a third elongate element 70. Alternatively, and without departing from the scope of the invention, the actuation system 30 of the curtain 16 could comprise only a single elongate element.
[0118] The first elongate element 32 consists in this non-limiting example of a flexible cord. The first elongate element 32 is slidably mounted through the first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22, so that it comprises an outer portion 34 extending outside the tent between the first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22. It is understood that this outer portion 23 extends in the deployment direction L and has a length substantially equal to the distance between the first orifice and the second orifice.
[0119] The first elongate element 32 further comprises a first pulling portion 36 extending inside the tent, from the first orifice 21. The first elongate element 32 also comprises a second pulling portion 38 extending inside the tent, from the second orifice 22. In this non-limiting example, the first and second pulling portions 36, 38 form a single continuous element constituting an inner portion 40 for the first elongate element 32. The first elongate element 32 forms a loop. This inner portion 40 extends inside the tent between the first orifice 21 and the second orifice 22. This inner portion 40 then comprises the first pulling portion 36 and the second pulling portion 38. The inner portion 40 of the first elongate element 32 extends in the deployment direction L and has a length substantially equal to the length of the outer portion 34.
[0120] The curtain 16 comprises a first longitudinal sheath 42 extending along the first lateral edge 19. The outer portion 34 of the first elongate element 32 extends inside said first longitudinal sheath 42. The outer portion 34 of the first elongate element 32 extends along the first lateral edge 19 of the curtain.
[0121] The outer portion 34 of the first elongate element 32 has a fixing part 35 fixed to said first end part of the curtain 16a. In this non-limiting example, the fixing part 35 consists in this non-limiting example of a reduced and punctual part of the outer portion of the first elongate element 32 fixed to the first end part 16a of the curtain, and more precisely to the rear edge 17 of the curtain. Said fixing part 35 extends inside the first longitudinal sheath 42.
[0122] In this non-limiting example, the fixing part 35 is fixed to a first corner 27 of the curtain, at the junction between the rear edge 17 and the first lateral edge 19, and close to the first lateral edge 19.
[0123] The first elongate element 32, and more precisely the inner portion 40 of the first elongate element, comprises a stop member 46 configured to limit the sliding of the first elongate element 32 in the first and second orifices. This stop member is fixed to said inner portion 40 so that it is moved in translation during the sliding of the first elongate element 32 relative to the first and second orifices 21, 22.
[0124] The second elongate element 50 is identical to the first elongate element 32. It is slidably mounted through the third and fourth orifices 23, 24. It also comprises an outer portion 54 which extends outside the tent between said third and fourth orifices. This outer portion 54 extends inside a second longitudinal sheath 44 formed along the second lateral edge 20 of the curtain 16. It further comprises a first pulling portion 56 extending inside the tent from the third orifice 23 and a second pulling portion 58 extending inside the tent from the fourth orifice 24. The first and second pulling portions 56, 58 of the second elongate element form a single continuous element.
[0125] The second elongate element 50 further comprises a fixing portion fixed to the first end portion 16a of the curtain 16. More precisely, this fixing portion is fixed to a second corner 29 of the curtain, close to the second lateral edge 20.
[0126] The inner portion of the second elongate element 50 also comprises a stop member limiting the sliding of said second elongate element 50 through the third and fourth orifices 23, 24
[0127] The first and second elongate elements 32, 50 extend substantially parallel to each other. In particular, the outer portion 34 of the first elongate element 32 extends substantially parallel to the outer portion 54 of the second elongate element 50. The first and second elongate elements 32, 50 extend on either side of the window 14.
[0128] As seen in Figure 2, the third elongate element 70 has a first end provided with a fixing portion 72 which is fixed to the first end portion 16a of the curtain 16. The fixing portion is fixed substantially to half the width of the curtain. The third elongate element 70 extends through the fifth orifice, so that it comprises an outer portion extending out of the tent, from the fifth orifice 25. This outer portion extends between the fifth orifice 25 and the first end portion 16a of the curtain. The third elongate element 70 further comprises a pulling portion extending inside the tent from the fifth orifice 25.
[0129] Figure 5 is a zoomed-in view of the first orifice 21 of the tent. In this view, it can be seen that the first orifice 21 is provided with an eyelet O inside which the first elongate element 32 passes. This eyelet makes it possible to reinforce the tent canvas 12 locally, in order to prevent it from being damaged due to the sliding of the elongate element. Each of the first, second, third and fourth orifices 21, 22, 23, 24 is also provided with an eyelet O. The tent canvas 12 is provided with a triangular protective portion 15 made of fabric having two edges sewn to the tent canvas and covering the first orifice in order to protect it in particular from the rain.
[0130] The tent further comprises a guide member 48 attached to the tent canvas by means of a strap 49. The guide member 48 is attached to the tent canvas 12 near the first orifice 21. Said guide member 48 comprises a ring inside which the first elongate element 32 extends.
[0131] Using figures 4 and 6 to 10 we will now describe the actuation of the curtain 16 carried out using the curtain actuation device 30.
[0132] In Figure 4, the curtain 16 is in the deployed position. In this deployed position, the curtain 16 is taut and completely covers the window 14. It can be seen that the fixing part 35 of the first elongate element 32 is located near the first orifice 21. The fixing part of the second elongate element 50 is located near the third orifice
[0133] 23. The first orifice 21 is located substantially under the first corner 27 of the curtain while the third orifice 23 is located substantially under the second corner 29.
[0134] The stop member 46 of the first elongate element 32 is located near the second orifice 22, preferably but in a non-limiting manner in abutment against the eyelet O of said second orifice. The stop member of the second elongate element 50 is located near the fourth orifice
[0135] 24, preferably but not limited to abutting against the eyelet O of said fourth orifice 24.
[0136] To actuate the curtain 16 and move it to its retracted position, the user placed inside the tent acts on the actuating device 30 of the curtain 16. More precisely, he pulls on the second pulling portion 38 of the first elongate element 32 in a direction opposite to the second orifice 22, in order to slide the first elongate element 32 through said second orifice 22. In this non-limiting example, to the extent that the first and second pulling portions of the first elongate element 32 form a single continuous element constituting the inner portion 40, the user pulls on this inner portion 40. In a non-limiting manner, the tensile force exerted on the second pulling portion 38 can be directed towards the first orifice 21. This tensile force causes the first elongate element 32 to slide through the first and second orifices 21, 22 in a first direction. The fixing portion 35 of the first elongate element is moved in translation towards the second orifice 22. Consequently, the first end portion 16a of the curtain, to which the fixing portion 35 of the first elongate element 32 is fixed, and more precisely the first corner 27, is brought closer to the second orifice 22. The first end portion 16a of the curtain is brought closer to the second end portion of the curtain 16b. The curtain 16 is moved towards its retracted position.
[0137] The stop member 46 then comes into abutment against the eyelet O of the first orifice 21, thus interrupting the sliding of the first elongate element 32 relative to the first and second orifices 21, 22.
[0138] The curtain 16 is then placed in an intermediate position, illustrated in Figures 6 and 7, in which it is partially retracted.
[0139] The user can then actuate the second elongate element 50 by pulling on the second pulling portion 56 of said second elongate element. The second elongate element then slides through the third and fourth orifices 23, 24. The first end portion 16a of the curtain 16 is continued to be brought closer to the second end portion 16b. The curtain is moved to the retracted position in which it no longer covers the window 14.
[0140] Without departing from the scope of the invention, in order to bring the curtain into the retracted position, the first elongate element 32 and the second elongate element 50 can be actuated successively, in any order, or even simultaneously. In other words, the user can actuate the second elongate element 50 before the first elongate element 32.
[0141] In the retracted position illustrated in Figures 8, 9 and 10, the first and second end portions 16a, 16b of the curtain extend next to each other. In addition, the curtain then extends along the arch 13.
[0142] The first corner 27 of the curtain is then positioned next to the second orifice 22 and the second corner 29 is positioned near the fourth orifice 24.
[0143] In this non-limiting example, in order to finalize the retracted position of the curtain and correctly position the first end portion 16a of the curtain against the second end portion 16b of the curtain, the user can also pull on the pulling portion of the third elongate element 70. To bring the curtain 16 into the deployed position, the user acts on the actuating device 30 of the curtain and more precisely on the first elongate element 32 and the second elongate element 50, simultaneously or successively.
[0144] To actuate the first elongate element 32, the user pulls, from inside the tent 10, on the first pulling portion 36 in a direction opposite to the first orifice 21. Consequently, the first elongate element 32 slides through said first orifice 21. In this non-limiting example, insofar as the first and second pulling portions of the first elongate element 32 form a single continuous element constituting the interior portion 40, the user pulls on this interior portion 40. In a non-limiting manner, the tensile force exerted on the first pulling portion 36 can be directed towards the second orifice 22.
[0145] This tensile force causes the first elongate element 32 to slide through the first and second orifices 21, 22 in a second direction. The fixing portion 35 of the first elongate element is moved in translation towards the first orifice 21. Consequently, the first end portion 16a of the curtain, to which the fixing portion 35 of the first elongate element 32 is fixed, and more precisely the first corner 27, is moved away from the second orifice 22. The first end portion 16a of the curtain is moved away from the second end portion of the curtain 16b. The curtain 16 is moved towards its deployed position.
[0146] The stop member 46 then comes into abutment against the eyelet O of the second orifice 22, thus interrupting the sliding of the first elongate element 32 relative to the first and second orifices 21, 22.
[0147] A similar actuation is performed on the second elongate element 50.
[0148] The curtain 16 is then moved into the deployed position illustrated in Figures 1 to 4.
